BOUCAN FERDINAND, Haiti (Reuters) - Near the bottom of the island of Hispaniola in southeast Haiti is a forgotten village, cut off from its own country, and slowly emptying as its residents leave for the neighboring Dominican Republic.

"Manhattan-Kaboul" is a French song written by Renaud and composed by Jean- Pierre Bucolo, sung by Renaud in duo with Axelle Red, from the album Boucan d'enfer (2002). It was written in the aftermath of the incidents of September 11, 2001 and the War in Afghanistan. The song was very successful in France and Belgium, becoming a top five hit in these countries. Rivière Blanche has its source around the Pic la Selle, which rises to 2,680 meters above sea level, overlooking the mountains of peak. This river forms several arms when it arrives in the Plain of the Cul-de-Sac. Acropora in the reef The least vulnerable sectors of the reef are in St Paul and l’Etang-Salé (in the north), due to the absence of a reef ecosystem and the stability of the shoreline. Due to pressures from the nearby urban areas, the sector in Grande Anse and Boucan Canot is moderately vulnerable, but there are few severe impacts. The highly vulnerable points are located at la Pointe des Aigrettes, la Pointe au Sel, la Ravine Blanche, St-Pierre and Grand Bois (in the south).
