The film is set in rural Dalarna. It was shot in Skattungbyn outside of Orsa, and was first screened in Orsa in September 1978, and later had its Swedish premiere in the pornographic theater Fenix in Stockholm on 25 September 1978. Group of musicians from Karatepe (9th century BC): two men playing the frame drum and two lyre-players Drums (Hittite arkammi-; Sumerogram: GIŠBALAG.DI) were often used at the beginnings of musical pieces and to accompany dancing, where different kinds of drum were apparently not distinguished. They were played by both male and female musicians, who would also sing or blow the horn as required. A Late Hittite relief from Carchemesh (9th century BC) shows a drum with a diameter of about a meter, carried and played by two men with shoulder-straps, while a third man whose role is not clear stands behind the drum.

WPA Band, 1937 Lionel Ferbos was born on July 17, 1911, in New Orleans, in the city's Creole 7th Ward. He said he had asthma and his parents would not let him take up a wind instrument, but when he was 15 he saw Phil Spitalny's all-girl orchestra at the Orpheum and argued that he ought to be able to do anything a girl could do. So he got an old cornet at a pawn shop on Rampart Street and began lessons with Professor Paul Chaligny, an exacting Creole task-master who would not let him blow the horn until he knew how to read music and had mastered the rudiments of theory. After a year with Chaligny, Ferbos moved on to study with noted musicians Albert Snaer and Eugene Ware.
