Gypsy Joker bikies jailed over Gosnells attack A Gypsy Joker was charged with unlawful possession of a large sum of cash, weapons and ammunition on August 17, 2007. Police pulled his car over and discovered a gun, an expandable baton, capsicum spray and ammunition when they searched his vehicle. A Gypsy Joker member was charged with attempted murder on March 17, 2009. He shot and wounded a member of the Newboys gang and former Hells Angel outside their clubhouse in Adelaide, South Australia.

Eventually Franky catches up with them and after a detoured trip the gang make it to the bikies hideout only to find a letter that they're busy. The gang reaches Shazza's mother's house but only Shazza and Vanessa go in. After Rayleen explains that she committed 18 acts of fraud to pay of Wazza's debts Vanessa goes outside where Franky is tormenting the animals and eventually pecked by an angry emu. Rayleen then dies and a devastated Shazza comes out bawling.

Before Franky can steal it back he is forced to run away when he hears the cops. Dazza rants about Shazza's mum with Franky and Kev until they hit two coppers on push bikes. Shazza goes to see the bikies who tell her that they need to run some illegal stuff (illegal drugs and firearms) up to the Northern Territory and that she can see her mum on the condition that she brings it back. After everyone gets in the van Franky is forced to get rid of the coppers (two of which are fired for destroying the road bikes).

Allan Sarkis – President of Notorious Allan Sarkis was patched into the Parramatta chapter by Sam Ibrahim (then the Parramatta President). Sarkis left the club, along with other Parramatta members, to start the Notorious Gang / Motorcycle Club, which gained media attention as they promoted themselves as a motorcycle club although many members did not ride Harley Davidson motorcycles and they often wore clothing not associated with the traditional outlaw motorcycle club scene. They were deemed the "Nike Bikies" in some publications. Carmody's approach to the Newman Government's anti-outlaw motorcycle gang laws also drew media attention. While the laws had faced criticism from several senior lawyers and civil libertarians as well as a serving Supreme Court judge, Carmody was described in the media as a supporter and "cheerleader" of the legislation and the Newman Government's "law-and- order" agenda more broadly.
