Bêtises de Cambrai () are a French boiled sweet made in the town of Cambrai. "Bêtise" is French for "nonsense" or "stupid mistake" and the sweets are said to have been invented by accident by the son of a confectioner named Afchain. (explanations in French) The original flavour is mint, but many others are now produced. Stripes of caramel add sweetness.

The album sold more than 800,000 copies. In October 2009, Luce released his second studio album, Le Clan des Miros, which includes the song "On n'est pas à une bêtise prês" from the original soundtrack of the movie Le petit Nicolas.

The food industry grew: Brasserie, chicory; the Bêtise de Cambrai was invented in 1850.

The score for Le Petit Nicolas was composed by Klaus Badelt and performed by Geert Chatrou, Dirk Brossé, and Loïc Pontieux. It was released on 28 September 2009 by EmArcy Records. Renan Luce's second single "On n’est pas à une bêtise press" ("Was not a mistake near") from his 2009 album Clan miros appears in the end credits of the film, but it is not part of the album. The song was later released by Luce in October 2009.

12 October 2009, his second album, The Clan Des Miros, was released. Its singles were "La Fille de la Bande" and "On n'est pas à une bêtise près", which was used for the film Le Petit Nicolas, and Nantes. Luce began a tour on 1 October 2009 which extended into 2010, including concerts at La Cigale in Paris in October, three in Olympia (fully booked) from 10 to 12 May 2010 and some time in Quebec. Following one of his concerts at the Olympia, he received a double platinum album for the sale of 230,000 albums in France (and received a gold disk in Belgium).

Bêtises de Cambrai The two best-known gastronomic specialties of Cambrai are the , a sausage traditionally made of ground veal (which was prohibited by European regulations, following the episode of mad cow disease, until 2015), which associated gastronomic society is one of the most representative in the region, and the Bêtise de Cambrai, a coated mint confection which is one of the most emblematic gourmet specialties of France. The gastronomy of Cambrai also accounts for other less known specialities: Tripe, liver pâté with plums, hare with grapes, hochepot of partridge with puréed lentils, but also the , fromage blanc with fine herbs, and also a cheese trademarked as , or even crackers and pain crotté [muddy bread] (a type of French toast).
