These songs, which were generally written by Fikret Şeneş and included "Kimler Geldi Kimler Geçti", "Palavra Palavra", "Sana Neler Edeceğim", "Hoş Gör Sen", "Sana Ne Kime Ne", "Bambaşka Biri", "Uykusuz Her Gece" and "O Benim Dünyam", later took their place among the best known songs of both Pekkan's career and the Turkish pop music genre. From the 1990s onwards, she worked with various songwriters and arrangers, including Şehrazat and Sezen Aksu. During this period, many of her songs such as "Yaz Yaz Yaz", "Sarıl Bana", "Eğlen Güzelim", "Vitrin", "Aynen Öyle" and "Yakar Geçerim" ranked among the best songs on Turkey's music charts. Her fame grew steadily throughout the 1970s outside her home country, and particularly in Europe, and it was reinforced by concerts in different countries.

Arduç first got supporting roles in 2011 in the series Küçük Hanımefendi, Dinle Sevgili, and Pis Yedili. Later in 2012, he portrayed the character of Ahmet Avcıoğlu in ATV's series Benim İçin Üzülme which was written and directed by Mahsun Kırmızıgül and shot in Hopa, Artvin. Arduç's character, a young person who is a sports enthusiast and wants to play soccer in Trabzonspor, only appeared on the first episode and then in the flashbacks in the remaining episodes, but the character was so liked that after his death in the series a 10-meter banner was put on Trabzonspor's tribunes in his memory. Later in 2013, he joined the cast of Bugünün Saraylısı from its 5th episode, a series based on the work of Refik Halid Karay and directed by Kudret Sabancı.

In Palestine, the major leaders of Poale Zion since their immigration in 1906 and 1907 had been David Ben-Gurion, who joined a local Poalei Tziyon group in 1904 as a student at the University of Warsaw, and Yitzhak Ben-Zvi, a close friend of Borochov's and early member of the Poltava group. After the split the two Benim ("the Bens") continued to control and direct Poale Zion Right in Palestine. The party in Palestine split into right and left wings at its February 1919 conference. In October 1919, a faction of the Left Poale Zion founded Mifleget Poalim Sozialistiim (Socialist Workers Party) which became the Jewish Communist Party in 1921, split in 1922 over the Zionist issues, with one faction taking the name Palestine Communist Party and the more anti-Zionist faction becoming the Communist Party of Palestine.

Orhan Pamuk, winner of the 2006 Nobel Prize in Literature The tradition of literary modernism also informs the work of female novelist Adalet Ağaoğlu (1929– ). Her trilogy of novels collectively entitled Dar Zamanlar ("Tight Times", 1973–1987), for instance, examines the changes that occurred in Turkish society between the 1930s and the 1980s in a formally and technically innovative style. Orhan Pamuk (1952– ), winner of the 2006 Nobel Prize in Literature, is another such innovative novelist, though his works—such as 1990's Beyaz Kale ("The White Castle") and Kara Kitap ("The Black Book") and 1998's Benim Adım Kırmızı ("My Name is Red")—are influenced more by postmodernism than by modernism. This is true also of Latife Tekin (1957– ), whose first novel Sevgili Arsız Ölüm ("Dear Shameless Death", 1983) shows the influence not only of postmodernism, but also of magic realism.

The Israeli music group Anna RF accused Akman of copyright violation and took "Gece Gölgenin Rahatına Bak" off YouTube. Akman said that the song was made and composed by Mehmet Ali Sezer, who had also composed the song "Seni Rüyamda Görsem", and claimed that it was in fact Anna RF who had stolen a Turkish piece and said that he had already bought the copyright of the song from Mehmet Ali Sezer. Commenting on the subject, Anna RF claimed that the original composition of the song belonged to them and that there was no connection between their song and Mehmet Ali Sezer. On 19 June 2017, the song was again restored on YouTube. Akman revealed on his Instagram the release date for his new song "Sensin Benim En Derin Kuyum", which was set to be published on 9 June. On 9 June 2017, the song's music video was released and was watched more than 100 thousand times in one hour. The song, which was written and composed by Çağatay Akman and Ahmet Hatipoğlu, was turned into a music video by Yekta Özbilen.

After she graduated, Araz became an assistant to Boran. However, when Boran was expelled from the university in 1948, Araz quit her job and was taken to Istanbul by her family, who wanted to take her away from leftist circles. The Araz family had always been religious and Araz's father was already affiliated with the religious order headed by Kenan Rıfai. By 1948, Araz had also become affiliated with this sufi order and dropped her plans to become a scholar after meetings at Istanbul University. In 1950, she published her first book, Benim Dünyam ("My World"), a collection of poems. In 1951, after the death of Rıfai, she co- authored the book Ken’an Rifai ve Yirminci Asrın Işığında Müslümanlık ("Ken'an Rıfai and Islam in the Light of the 20th Century") with Samiha Ayverdi, Safiye Erol and Sofi Huri. In 1952, she started her career in journalism at the magazine Resimli Hayat, owned by Şevket Rado. She later continued working with the same team in the magazine Hayat. In 1953, she published the book Fatih'in Deruni Tarihi, a biographical work on Mehmed II in the light of her religious approach.
