Years ago, WHL teams were allowed to list first- year bantam players as of a set date in September. However, first-year bantams had been playing at the peewee level the previous year, and to list first-year bantams, WHL teams needed to scout the peewee ranks. This had many drawbacks including the need for extensive scouting systems along with the related expense, as well the added pressure on peewee-aged players (12- and 13-year- olds). He featured as number seventeen on the Varsity soccer team. While playing for Trinity, Wisner tallied 11 goals and 11 assists. He led the team in points in 2008, starting all 16 games for the Bantams. Wisner was also selected to the All-NESCAC team in 2008, earning First Team honors at Forward.

Bradford City have had a number of nicknames during the history. In their early years, they were referred to as the Robins or Wasps, taking over the nickname of Manningham FC, as a result of Manningham's claret and amber hoops. Other nicknames have been the Citizens or Paraders, but the club is better known as the Bantams.

Frizzled Pekins are common. Pekin Bantams are very docile, and with careful and regular handling they make ideal pets, especially for families with younger children. However, the Pekin bantam cocks can still be aggressive and defensive of their territory and mates once they reach sexual maturity, but are generally gentle natured. The hens are regularly broody and are known to be good sitters and attentive mothers.

After a respectable 5-2-1 record in 1931 (playing all of its games at Public Schools Stadium in St. Louis), the Gunners changed coaches (to Bullet Baker) and played a more ambitious schedule in 1932, playing the Tigers to one win, one loss, and one tie – a November 27, 1932, game between the two teams was billed as for the "independent pro championship" ended with a 0-0 score. The 1931 season saw the start of the Louisville Bantams, which played most of the games in its inaugural season against teams based in Ohio (including the Ironton Tanks); the following season saw the formation of the Charlotte Bantams and the Oklahoma City Chiefs. The Booted Bantam or Dutch Booted Bantam, , is a bantam breed of chicken. Its name is derived from the extravagant feathering on the feet and hock joints, which are called vulture hocks or "sabels" in Dutch. Ashley Michael Westwood (born 31 August 1976) is an English former footballer and football manager. A graduate of the Manchester United Academy, the defender signed with Crewe Alexandra in 1995. Three years later he moved on to Bradford City. Winning promotion to the Premier League with the "Bantams", he transferred to Sheffield Wednesday in 2000. He moved on to Northampton Town in 2003, where he stayed for three years.

In the 2000–01 season Davison made three appearances in the UEFA Intertoto Cup with victories over Atlantas Klaipėda and RKC Waalwijk and a defeat against Zenit St. Petersburg. O'Rourke was a centre half who played for Celtic, Burnley, Lincoln City, Third Lanark and Chesterfield before his final playing days at Bradford City. He became player-manager in 1905 following the departure of Robert Campbell while he was still captain. He was given the job permanently and in December 1905 played his final game in an FA Cup tie against Darlington. He led the Bantams to the Second Division championship in 1908.

In 1987, Sinnott moved down a division to Bradford City. In his first season, he helped the "Bantams" qualify for the Second Division playoffs, but their promotion bid failed and two years later they were relegated. Sinnott spent one season in the Third Division before moving to First Division side Crystal Palace. He was unable to establish a regular place in the first team and after two years he returned to Bradford.

He was a key member of the Bantams for more than three years, helping them to promotion from Division Two in 1995–96 before he left to join Carlisle United after 79 games at Valley Parade. His career took him to Notts County and Lincoln City before he returned to Eastwood. His return lasted less than a season and Liburd was out of regular football until he joined Nottinghamshire Senior League club Boots Athletic in September 2006. He moved on to Basford United before departing in January 2007.

Ricci grew up in Scarborough, Ontario and attended St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic school and Dr. Norman Bethune Collegiate Institute. As a youth, he played in the 1984 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Mississauga. He was a 2nd round pick of the Ontario Hockey League's Peterborough Petes in 1987 after a strong season with the Toronto Marlboros Bantams. Ricci was also a talented soccer player growing up playing for the Scarborough Blues program with his cousin, Paul Peschisolido, who went on to a solid international career.

Savage grew up in the Charleston area, attending Stratford High School and playing club soccer for Bridge Futbol Alliance, the precursor to the current Charleston Battery academy. Savage played college soccer at the Clemson University between 2009 and 2012. During his time at Clemson, Savage also played with Palmetto FC Bantams in the USL Premier Development League in 2012. Savage signed with USL Professional Division club Charleston Battery on April 3, 2013, becoming the first player from the Battery's youth system to sign a professional contract with the first team.

Savage was released by the Battery following his rookie season, and spent the majority of 2014 playing with SC United Bantams of the Premier Development League. Savage resigned with the Battery ahead of the 2015 season, but was mainly used as a bench player. Savage scored his first and only goal for the Battery on May 9, 2016 against the Harrisburg City Islanders before announcing his retirement on June 27 of that year. Savage signed with Major Arena Soccer League club Utica City FC on December 7, 2018, as a depth player.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Vernace grew up playing most of his minor hockey in the Greater Toronto Hockey League, finishing his minor career with the 2001–02 Mississauga Reps Bantams. After that season, Vernace was a 9th round choice (163rd overall) in the 2001 OHL Priority Selection by the Brampton Battalion. The following season, Vernace was assigned by the Battalion to the OHA Jr.A. Bramalea Blues. Vernace was drafted 201st overall by the San Jose Sharks in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft from the Brampton Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League.

He signed for Bradford City in 2006 to replace Damion Stewart after playing 169 league games and scoring 13 goals for Darlington. He was sent off on his debut for City during a Football League Trophy game defeat to Scunthorpe United. He rejoined the Quakers on a month loan during the 2006–07 season after an injury-plagued start to his Bantams career. His loan deal lasted two games because of an injury caused by driving before he returned to Bradford, for whom he made his league debut on 5 December 2006.

Morris quit Loughborough Dynamo in September 2015 after being appointed under 16s joint coach at Derby County. Morris is not to be confused with another Lee Morris, who is from Rotherham, has managed Goole FC and Frickley Town, and who in contrast predominantly played his career in the Northern Premier League. He was appointed as manager of SC United Bantams in March 2018.

MOBA did not get their first win until 21 June, when Michael Brezovsky scored the winner in the 84th minute on the road against Nashville. That kicked off a string of success for MOBA where they went 1–1–1 in their next three, but MOBA would fall in their final three matches to close the year, twice to South Georgia Tormenta FC 6–3 and 2–0, respectively, and once to SC United Bantams 4–0 in the season finale, finishing 2–10–2 and 11th on the South Atlantic Division table.

The most distinctive feature of the Cochin is the excessive plumage that covers leg and foot. The skin beneath the feathers is yellow. In the United Kingdom the recognised colour varieties, for large fowl only, are black, blue, buff, cuckoo, partridge and grouse, and white; Cochin bantams are not recognised by the Poultry Club of Great Britain. The Entente Européenne lists the same nine colours for full-sized Cochins, and twenty-four for the bantam; any of the bantam varieties may be frizzled, with the feathers curling outwards.

The rear suspension was built by cutting the donor's leaf springs in half, and mounting one left half and one right half behind the cab to suspend and locate the solid rear axle. Contemporary reports praised the Bantam's performance and handling, as well as the fit and finish of the kit car components. Despite these accolades, few Bantams (and indeed few Lotus replicas of any type) were sold in the US in the 1970s and 1980s. Larger, heavier V8-powered sports cars, like the numerous AC Cobra replicas, were more popular, as were kits built on the popular Volkswagen chassis.

Born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, Muirhead was a highly rated youngster and played for England schoolboys, including playing against an Argentina Under-15 squad starring Carlos Tevez at Wembley. After beginning his career at Manchester United where he failed to make a first team appearance, he moved to Bradford City. He then moved to Rochdale on loan and scored on his debut versus Notts County, which Rochdale went on to win 2–1. Muirhead caught the eye of many League Two pundits during his loan spell and it was a disappointment when Bantams caretaker boss David Wetherall recalled him.

On 4 March, Bowyer replaced David Hopkin as Bantams manager, signing a contract until the end of the season, with Andy Todd as his assistant. Bowyer retained the club's other coaching staff—including Martin Drury, who had been caretaker manager prior to his appointment— and said that all of City's squad players would have a chance to fight for a first-team place. In April 2019 he signed a new contract with Bradford City until 2021. He was nominated for the League Two Manager of the Month award for October 2019, but later said he was not a "fan" of such awards.

The colour of the skin, comb, and wattles varies from red to mulberry depending on variety, but all have a small single comb. Combs and wattles are required to be dubbed (cut off) of all cocks, and any cockerels being shown after November 1st, in order to compete in showing in some countries, which reflects their descent from fighting birds. Myers scored his first goal for the club with a crucial early header versus Everton on 28 April 2001, but two missed penalties deflated the Bantams and the team succumbed to a 2–1 defeat, which sealed the club's relegation to the First Division. In the penultimate game of the season and with Bradford 5–1 down in the West Yorkshire derby to Leeds United, Myers exchanged blows with captain Stuart McCall on the stroke of half time. Immediately following the full-time whistle, the Bradford City players ran straight for the stand with the away supporters to celebrate their unlikely victory, with the Bantams' fans chanting "Easy, Easy" to mock the Chelsea fans. Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho clapped in respect and walked into the tunnel with the team's substitutes, ashamed with his face looking down. After the game, he went into Bradford City's dressing room and shook the hands of Parkinson, Bradford City's staff, and all of the players, congratulating them for their amazing performance.

Especially when compared to other FA Cup matches like Manchester City's comeback against Tottenham Hotspur in 2004 or the 1988 FA Cup Final between Liverpool and Wimbledon. Perhaps the defining moment of Shutt's Leeds career came at the Nou Camp against VfB Stuttgart in 1992, in a replayed European Cup game. Within a couple of minutes of coming on as a substitute, he scored the winner with only his second touch. After leaving Leeds in 1993 with more than 100 appearances and 25 goals, he played for Birmingham City and had a very brief spell at Manchester City before settling at Bradford City in 1994. In three seasons with the Bantams, Shutt scored 15 goals before moving on to Darlington where again he spent three seasons, scoring nine goals.

On 19 July 2018, Crawley Town announced that Morais had signed for the club on a three-year deal following his release from Bolton. He was subsequently reunited with former Bantams teammate Romain Vincelot, who also signed for the Sussex club on the same day. Clarkston High School was awarded the 2008 State Superintendent's Learning Improvement Award, along with 97 other elementary-, middle-, high- and alternative schools, out of approximately 2,500 schools in Washington state. Progress was measured by the scores of six years of data from the Washington Assessment of Student Learning, or the WASL. Clarkston also won the Golden Throne girls' basketball game and spirit competition, but were outplayed by the Bengals during the boys' game where seniors Ben Havens, Greg Pederson, and James Baerlocher lead their team to a win over the Clarkston Bantams. The two school combined raised over $8,000 from the spirit week.

Rovers also reached the now defunct Lanarkshire Cup Final on 15 March 1902, but lost this derby game 0–3 to Hamilton Academical. Once he was playing in the Second Division of the national league, Conlin caught the attention of scouts from a number of English clubs, and at the end of the 1903–04 season he was transferred amid great controversy to Bradford City for a fee of £100, but only after the Bantams had been fined £50 by a joint committee of English and Scottish F.A. officials for making an 'illegal' approach for the player.

On 7 August 2017, Field joined League One club Bradford City on loan until 1 January 2018, as cover for the injured Adam Chicksen. He made his debut the following night and played the opening 76 minutes of the Bantams' 3–2 EFL Cup first round defeat to Doncaster Rovers, before being substituted for Paul Taylor after 76 minutes. Born in Berlin, Ontario,now Kitchener Selke was managing the Iroquois Bantams in his hometown at the age of 14. He coached the Berlin Union Jacks junior team in the Ontario Hockey Association from 1912 to 1915, reaching the finals of the league championship in his final season. In 1919, he coached the University of Toronto Schools hockey team to the first Memorial Cup title. He coached the St. Mary's junior OHA team to its third-straight SPA junior championship in the 1924–25 season, with a team that included future Toronto Maple Leafs star Joe Primeau.

Bookman began his senior football career in the Irish League with Belfast Celtic, before joining English side Bradford City in 1911. He failed to establish himself as a first team regular for the "Bantams", making just 32 First League appearances in three seasons. During his time at Valley Parade, Bradford were a consistent mid-table team, finishing 11th in 1911–12, 13th in 1912–13, and ninth in 1913–14. Bookman joined league rivals West Bromwich Albion for the 1914–15 season, but found that his football career was interrupted by the outbreak of the First World War.

The University of South Carolina campus at Union was opened in 1965 and was once home to the USCU Bantams, a junior college basketball team that saw some success at that level before the team was ended in the 1980s. Musa signed for Waitakere City in the Northern League, New Zealand in June 2011 to help prepare himself before the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup Following a successful 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup for the New Zealand U-20 team, he was linked with Bradford City in England. Despite early reports that Musa had signed a two-year deal with the Bantams, the deal fell through when the manager, Peter Jackson offered his resignation to the club. In 2012 Musa again played for Waitakere City where he was able to get competitive games before the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Wideman grew up playing his minor ice hockey in his hometown of Elmira, Ontario, playing for the Woolwich Township Wildcats "B" of the OMHA's Tri-County League and the Guelph Reps AAA Bantams of the OMHA's South Central AAA League in 1997–98. He played in the 1997 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with Guelph. Wideman spent the 1998–99 season with the Elmira Sugar Kings of the Mid- Western Junior Hockey League (MWJHL), scoring 18 goals and 48 points in 47 games. He was then drafted by the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

Matthew Paul Clarke (born 18 December 1980) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Conference North side Guiseley. He started his professional career in 1998 with Wolverhampton Wanderers but was released after his first full season as a pro and without making a first team appearance. He went on to play for Halifax Town and Darlington before signing for Bradford City in 2006. He remained with The Bantams until 2010 before joining Maltese Premier League side Hibernians, during a three-year spell in Malta Clarke also played for Msida Saint-Joseph and Marsaxlokk.

Born in Sheffield (then the West Riding of Yorkshire) but brought up in Idle, Bradford, West Yorkshire, Watmough signed for his hometown club in the early 1930s. He went on to make almost one hundred league appearances for the Bantams, scoring 24 goals. In 1934, he signed for Blackpool. He made his debut for the club on 13 October 1934, ten games into the 1934–35 season, and scored the winning goal in Blackpool's 2–1 victory over Norwich City at Bloomfield Road. He went on to make a further 31 league appearances and score another eight goals.

Parkinson was appointed manager of Bradford City on 28 August 2011. He won the League Two Manager of the Month award for December 2011 after victories over promotion candidates Shrewsbury Town and Crewe Alexandra. Parkinson also enjoyed a promising run in the Johnstones Paint Trophy with the Bantams taking them to the Northern division semi-finals with victories over Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United as well as an away victory against local rivals Huddersfield Town on penalties, however their run ended with a defeat to Oldham Athletic. He led Bradford to safety finishing 18th in League Two, then stating that he wanted a promotion push for next season.

The men became local heroes, with the local newspaper, The Birkenhead News, honouring the men of the 1st and 2nd Birkenhead Battalions of the Cheshires with enamel badges - "BBB" - "Bigland's Birkenhead Bantams". Soon renamed the 15th and 16th Battalions, Cheshire Regiment, they undertook gruelling training and served in some of the hardest-fought battles of the war, such as the Battle of Arras in 1917. Another bantam battalion was the 14th Battalion (West of England), the Gloucestershire Regiment, raised in 1915 and sent to France in 1916. Eventually two whole divisions, the 35th and the 40th, were formed from "Bantam" men, who were virtually annihilated during the Battle of Bourlon.

He left Rochdale to become manager of Bradford City, taking over from the club's most successful manager, Peter O'Rourke, in July 1930. During his five years at Valley Parade he maintained the club's position in the Second Division but he had offered to resign at the end of 1933–34 before agreeing to see out the final two years of his contract. They tallied 44 points in 1930–31, 45 points in 1931–32, 41 points in 1932–33, and 46 points in 1933–34. With the club struggling above the relegation zone in 1934–35, he left the "Bantams" in March 1935, and was replaced by Dick Ray.

Born in Nottingham and whilst playing for local side West Bridgford Colts Francis was rejected as a youngster by both of the city clubs: Notts County and Nottingham Forest. Instead he joined Bradford City as a trainee in 2002 after being spotted playing for South Nottingham College. He made his debut for Bradford on 16 November 2002 against Nottingham Forest days after he came on as a substitute for England under 18s against France. He made more than 50 starts for the Bantams, scoring his first career goal in a game against Crystal Palace, before being sold for £200,000 by the administrators in 2004.

During the next two days, the 106th Cavalry Group fought its final major engagement. From Neuberg, the unit attacked southward towards Augsburg. Leading the 45th Infantry Division rapidly east down the autobahn towards Munich as it tried to locate the rapidly retreating Germans, Troop C along with two light tanks from Company F, drew a concentrated attack from German forces only from their objective. The German self-propelled guns, tanks, and small arms fire left four dead and destroyed four armored M8 vehicles and four Bantams. On 29 April, during the assault towards Munich, the 3rd Battalion, 157th Infantry Regiment, 45th Division liberated the Dachau Concentration Camp.

They finished second-bottom of the league and escaped relegation only because of an expansion from twenty to twenty-two teams. In the middle of the season the club adopted a nickname for the first time, becoming the "Bantams" in a reference to their light-weight status as newcomers to the Southern League. David Cooke joined the board in mid-1909 and provided funds for City to invest in new playing staff. After another poor start to the season their fortunes changed with the signing of Patsy Hendren, a player who became better known as a cricketer, going on to play the sport for England.

But Hill, with strong support from Robins, was already planning for the following season. Coventry began 1962–63 with a raft of changes instigated by Hill. This included a change of strip, to a sky-blue colour, with City becoming the first club in England to wear shirts and shorts with a matching colour. The change of colour came with an associated nickname change, the "Bantams" moniker being dropped in favour of the "Sky Blues", and Hill wrote the "Sky Blue Song", sung to the melody of the "Eton Boating Song", which was still being sung at matches by Coventry supporters fifty years later.

Young won junior honours for Scotland whilst leading the forward line at Burnbank Athletic. He was hailed as the next Jimmy Quinn by the Athletic News upon joining Bradford City in April 1910, and scored eight goals in ten First Division appearances for the "Bantams". His performances at Valley Parade attracted interest from Sunderland, and he joined the "Black Cats" in November 1911. He scored on his debut for the "Wearsiders" against West Bromwich Albion at Roker Park on 9 December, but left the club at the end of the 1911–12 season after scoring only one further goal in his next 14 appearances.

In May 2019, after rejecting a new contract offer from Port Vale, Hornby signed a two-year contract with fellow League Two club Bradford City. He made his debut for the "Bantams" in the EFL Cup on 13 August, in a 4–0 defeat to Preston North End at Valley Parade. He made his second appearance in the EFL Trophy on 3 September, helping Bradford to beat Bolton Wanderers 4–3 on penalties following a 1–1 draw. He moved on loan to AFC Fylde on 7 October after manager Gary Bowyer wanted Hornby to play regular football rather than sit on the bench as cover for Richard O'Donnell.

Bantams beat Blackpool to Graham After returning from his unsuccessful spell at Bradford, Graham again found it hard to break into Wednesday's first team under Brian Laws not making a single starting appearance for the first team. Although he impressed, scoring freely in the reserves. On 21 March it was announced that Graham would be returning to the team bottom of the football league where he first made a name for himself, on a loan until the end of the season, at Torquay United. In a bid to preserve their Football League status and hopefully impress Brian Laws enough to warrant a place on the team sheet.

At the Valley Parade, Conlin made his Second Division debut in a home team win against Burslem Port Vale on 24 September 1904. The Bantams finished eighth in their division that season, and in his second season with the club they finished eleventh. While at Bradford, Conlin became the first City player ever to be sent off when he was dismissed during a 6–1 defeat at West Bromwich Albion on 11 November 1905. Conlin also became the club's first England international on 7 April 1906, when Scotland beat England 2–1 in Glasgow in front of a 102,741 crowd, which set a world record for an international match attendance.

Pinney relinquished command of the brigade to Travers Clarke in late June, when he was promoted to major-general and returned to England to take command of the newly formed 35th Division, a New Army volunteer division. The division was mainly drawn from industrial areas of Northern England, with a high proportion of "bantams", men who were under the normal regulation height of 5 ft 3 in (160 cm) for Army service. Among the officers Pinney first encountered in the 35th was Bernard Montgomery, recently posted as brigade major of the 104th Brigade,Hamilton (2001), p. 72 who would later serve under him as the GSO2 in the 33rd Division.

His father and grandfather being doctors, it was assumed Crandall would follow in their footsteps, and he attended Cornell Medical School in 1907; however, he only stayed for one year before realizing he wanted a career with animals. In 2008, the women's Varsity 8+ won the NCAA Division III Rowing Championship title and placed second as a team, later going on to win the Jeffries Cup at Henley Women's Regatta. The Bantams Women's Rowing Team won the NCAA Championship in 2014 at Eagle Lake in Indianapolis Indiana. The event, which occurred on May 30 and 31, 2014, resulted in both a team and First Varsity Eight win and ended Williams College's eight-year run as team champions in Women's NCAA Division III rowing.

Knight-Percival joined Bradford City on a free transfer on 1 July 2016, after rejecting the offer of a new contract at Shrewsbury. Initially seen as a squad player, his excellent form at the start of the 2016–17 season made him a "prominent" and "influential" player in the "Bantams" promotion push, partnering with Romain Vincelot at centre-back. Bradford qualified for the play-offs with a fifth-place finish, and Knight-Percival played in the play-off final defeat to Millwall on 20 May. He said that manager Stuart McCall's positivity in pre-season removed the disappointment of losing the play-off final.

Cook was born in Hartlepool but began his footballing career with South African side Hellenic. Coach at Hellenic was George Eastham and he left in March 1977 to become manager of Stoke City and he brought Cook to Stoke in November 1977. He made to good start scoring in his second game against Blackpool but with Stoke having a poor season Eastham was replaced by Alan Durban in January 1978 and consequently Cook was loaned out to Bradford City. He scored once in eight matches for the "Bantams" and then scored five in seven for Plymouth Argyle. He returned to the Stoke first team in 1979–80 playing 14 matches which included four goals in three games.

They found success under the management of Phil Parkinson by reaching the 2013 League Cup final and then going on to win that year's League Two play-off final, but were relegated out of League One in 2019. They are the only professional football club in England to wear claret and amber, and have worn these colours throughout their history. They have though been known by various nicknames, with the "Bantams" being the most commonly used nickname as it appears on the current club crest. Supporters hold West Yorkshire derby rivalries with Huddersfield Town and Leeds United, as well as an historic Bradford derby rivalry with the now non-league side Bradford (Park Avenue).

In the 1997–98 season, Bradford started well with 13 points from a possible 15 which saw the Bantams top of the table after five games, but results declined and chairman Geoffrey Richmond sacked Kamara on 6 January, three days after a 2–0 FA Cup defeat to Manchester City. Richmond turned to Jewell, who was by now Kamara's assistant, and he won his first game 2–1 to Stockport County. In his 21 games in charge, Jewell won six games and drew five to guide Bradford to 13th, their highest position since Jewell had joined the club. He was rewarded with a permanent contract when others expected Richmond to turn to a big name.

He did though endear himself to Bantams fans by scoring a last gasp winner against former club Sheffield Wednesday in a Yorkshire derby in February 2005 that kept the club in the play off hunt before ultimately falling short . Morrison joined Dunfermline Athletic in July 2006 after a successful trial and scored his first goal for the club in a 1–1 draw with Rangers in August 2006 He has been capped by Northern Ireland at Under-21 level and was last called up to the senior team in 2001 but was not capped. Morrison completed a week-long trial with Chinese side Qingdao Zhongneng in February 2007 and was offered a contract.

Originally authorised by the War Office for the Fifth New Army (K5) as the 42nd Division in December 1914, it was renumbered as the 35th Division of the Fourth New Army in April 1915 when the original Fourth New Army formations were repurposed to provide training and replacements for the first three Armies. The Bantam experiment had begun in late 1914, with short but strong men recruited from labour-intensive industries. Sufficient numbers were raised for the infantry of a division and part of another (the 40th Division). Other units were not bantams; the artillery was raised locally, in Aberdeen (CLVII (157th) Brigade), Burnley and Accrington (CLVIII (158th) Brigade), Glasgow (CLIX (159th) Brigade) and West Ham (CLXIII (163rd) Brigade).

This was one of the last of the 'Kitchener Army' divisions to be formed, and the standard of height for infantry soldiers had been lowered in order to encourage volunteers: some of these so-called 'bantams' were well-knit, hardy men, but many others, especially in 120th Bde, were under-developed and unfit. It was estimated that the four battalions in the brigade would provide enough fit men for only two serviceable battalions. To prevent the departure of the division to the Front being indefinitely postponed, the divisional commander asked for fresh units to be drafted in. Consequently, Heathcote-Drummond-Willoughby had to carry out a complete reorganisation of his command in February 1916.

In his 1848 classic book on poultry, Ornamental and Domestic Poultry: Their History, and Management, Edmund Dixon included chapters on the peafowl, guinea fowl, mute swan, turkey, various types of geese, the muscovy duck, other ducks and all types of chickens including bantams. In colloquial speech, the term "fowl" is often used near-synonymously with "domesticated chicken" (Gallus gallus), or with "poultry" or even just "bird", and many languages do not distinguish between "poultry" and "fowl". Both words are also used for the flesh of these birds. Poultry can be distinguished from "game", defined as wild birds or mammals hunted for food or sport, a word also used to describe the flesh of these when eaten.

Jones made his debut for Bradford in the FA Cup second round tie against Leyton Orient on 29 November 2008, he played the full 90 minutes in the 2–1 defeat at Valley Parade He made his league debut a week later in the 1–1 draw against Dagenham & Redbridge. He scored his first goal for the club on 31 January 2009, netting the second goal in the 2–0 win over Grimsby Town. Two weeks later, he scored the only goal as The Bantams beat Wycombe Wanderers 1–0, keeping the club's promotion hopes alive. On 25 April, Jones made his final appearance for the club, scoring the third goal in the 3–0 win over Rotherham United.

The Bantams produced a promising start to the new season with a narrow 1–0 defeat at Anfield to Liverpool followed by a brilliant 2–0 home win over Chelsea in the first two games. However, that was as good as it got for the club and an overall-terrible start to the season saw inexperienced young manager Chris Hutchings dismissed after 12 games at the helm. In came Jim Jefferies as his successor, but Jefferies could do little to alter Bradford's dismal fortunes and they went down in bottom place with just five Premiership wins all season. Bradford City made their first ever foray into European competition, competing in the UEFA Intertoto Cup.

Buttel views the black man's words as a fusion of the native folk tradition with the motif of sewing and embroidering from Jules Laforgue, a French Symbolist poet who was influenced by Walt Whitman and in turn influenced Stevens (as well as T. The following weeks's humiliating 5–2 home defeat by Gillingham prompted Martin Ling to recall out of favour defender Mark Ellis to the starting line up in the away fixture against Southend. Born in Worcester, he started his career with Aston Villa. He never played a league game for Aston Villa, and following a short loan spell with Shrewsbury Town, he moved to Nottingham Forest, where he also failed to reach the first team. He moved to Bradford City, where his career took off and in three season with the "Bantams" Palin played 94 matches, scoring thirteen goals and also played in the Second Division play- off against Middlesbrough in the 1987–88 season. He then joined Mick Mills at Stoke City in 1989–90 but Stoke were having a terrible season and were well on their way to relegation and Mills was sacked in November 1989 and in came Alan Ball.

Brown Leghorn hen In Italy, where the Livorno breed standard is recent, ten colour varieties are recognised. There is a separate Italian standard for the German Leghorn variety, the Italiana (German: Italiener). The Fédération française des volailles (the French poultry federation) divides the breed into four types: the American white, the English white, the old type (golden-salmon) and the modern type, for which seventeen colour variants are listed for full-size birds, and fourteen for bantams; it also recognises an autosexing variety, the Cream Legbar. Both the American Poultry Association and the American Bantam Association recognize a number of Leghorn varieties including white, red, black-tailed red, light brown, dark brown, black, buff, Columbian, buff Columbian, barred, and silver.

As a result of the need for ongoing funding for the Burns Unit, In late 2010 Bantams Trek was set up to raise money for it by Bradford City assistant kit manager Graham Duckworth. It was given its name as the majority of events would involve walking. Willys was contracted that month for both a T13 and a T14 Gun Motor Carriage, based on the Willys MA – one firing forward, and one rearwards, like the earlier Bantams. In reality, two models of rearward firing T14 were built, based on Willys MBs, one slat grille in late 1941, and one or more stamped grilles, by January 1942. Although the Willys T14 was actually found to be the best of several 37mm tank destroyers tested by the U.S. Army, the Tank Destroyer Battalion had by that time standardized the Dodge ton M6 GMC. The first Pekins are alleged to have been looted from the private collection of the Emperor of China at Peking (now known as Beijing) by British soldiers towards the end of the Second Opium War around 1860. However, some sources suggest that a consignment of birds from China around 1835 were given to Queen Victoria, assuming the name of 'Shanghais' and that these birds were bred with further imports and were developed into the breed we know today as Pekins. Born in Arapiraca, Alagoas, Edinho played for modest clubs in his homeland. In 1990, he moved to Portugal where he spent four seasons competing in both the second and third divisions, with S.C. Olhanense and Portimonense SC. From 1994 to January 1997, Edinho played in the Primeira Liga, scoring 29 goals combined for G.D. Chaves and Vitória de Guimarães. On 6 February he signed with English Football League First Division side Bradford City, netting ten times in 41 games in his first full season with the Bantams; during his stint at the Valley Parade, a fans' website called Boy from Brazil was created in his honour. On 23 March 1999, Edinho moved to Dunfermline Athletic on loan, scoring once against Hearts during his short spell.

The quarries were to be linked up so that they could be used both as shelters from the incessant German shelling and as a means of conveying troops to the front in secrecy and safety. 500 miners from the New Zealand Tunnelling Company, including Māori and Pacific Islanders, recruited from the gold and coal mining districts of the country, were brought in to dig of tunnels. They worked alongside Royal Engineer tunnelling companies, made up by now of British coal miners and expert tunnellers who had built the London Underground. Many of them were "Bantams", soldiers of below average height who had been rejected from regular units because they did not meet the height requirements; others had been initially rejected as too old, but their specialist mining experience made them essential for the tunnelling operation.

Withers joined the Girl Scouts and her parents hosted the meeting in their home. The Withers home, a model home at 10731 Sunset Boulevard which they purchased in 1936, was equipped with a swimming pool, badminton court, and a -long playroom that saw frequent use from Withers and her fellow Hollywood child actors. Her afternoon swim parties continued into her teens and were the subject of many a fan magazine. When she became a teenager, Withers's parents built on a second- floor addition which included a beauty salon and soda fountain where Jane could entertain her friends. As a child, she also accumulated a menagerie of two horses, three kittens, "eight turtles, three baby alligators, 24 white Leghorn chickens, 12 turkeys, 2 Chinese hens", a rooster, six bantams, two ducks, seven frogs, and six dogs.

The Quebec Division wins these Championships and the PCCC athletes do their share of the winning (Tom Hall, gold medal in C1 and gold medal in C2 with Ernest Byers; Pierre-Olivier Dufresne and Sebastien Rist, bronze medal in K2). August 15-17, 1996 The Provincial Canoe-Kayak Sprint Racing Championships are held in Sherbrooke and fifteen clubs take part.

McCartan signed a three-year deal with Bradford City on 29 June 2017 for an undisclosed six-figure fee (later reported to be £200,000). He faced competition from Charlie Wyke and Alex Jones, as well as new signings Dominic Poleon and Paul Taylor. He struggled to settle in at Valley Parade and Head of Recruitment Greg Abbott revealed that nine clubs had expressed an interest in McCartan in the January transfer window. He ended the 2017–18 season with four goals in 28 games, and Lincolnshire Live journalist Mark Whiley reported that: "McCartan showed glimpses of quality but found himself in and out of the team as the Bantams went through two permanent managers, Stuart McCall and Simon Grayson, and one caretaker boss, Greg Abbott". A powerfully-built and prolific goalscoring inside-forward, Whittingham started out with amateur side Goldenhill Wanderers, before signing for Stoke (without making a first team appearance) and later Crewe Alexandra. He later moved on to Blackpool, where he stayed for just a year. Jess returned to the Premier League at the age of 30 with Bradford City, initially on loan, and scored on his debut for the Bantams on 1 January 2001 against Leicester City. Bradford were relegated in last place but the loan move was a success (17 games, 3 goals), with the deal being made permanent in the summer when Jess's Aberdeen contract expired. In the 2001–02 First Division he made 45 league appearances and finished the season as top scorer with 14 goals (including a hat-trick in a home win over Watford), but financial problems meant he was released by Bradford in June 2002 following the collapse of ITV Digital. He joined Nottingham Forest in August 2002 and in his first season steered Forest into the play-offs in 6th place.

A forward, Partridge began his career in the youth system at Grimsby Town, before moving to Bradford City and signing his first professional contract in July 1992. He made just five first team substitute appearances for the Bantams, before moving to First Division club Bristol City on a free transfer on 18 February 1994. He made something of a breakthrough at Ashton Gate, making 66 appearances and scoring eight goals over the course of three seasons, but was forced to spend time away on loan during the 1995–96 season. Partridge joined Third Division club Cardiff City for a £50,000 fee in February 1997, but after 13 months in which he was mainly utilised as a Winger, he departed Ninian Park in March 1998, having made 41 appearances and scored just two goals.

Many would agree with Simon Critchley, who favors a broadly Kantian reading, that Stevens was the philosophically most important poet writing in English in the twentieth century. The 33rd was a New Army division of the same wave as the 35th, but it had lost its original New Army composition; by late 1916, it was composed equally of Territorial, Regular and New Army battalions. Rather than the 35th's bantams, the 33rd had originally been formed from "Pals battalions", units drawn from local communities so that men could serve alongside their friends and colleagues, and the Public Schools Battalions, made up of former pupils of the elite public schools. Many of the initial units had been transferred out—or, in the case of the latter units, disbanded so that their men could be trained as officers—but a number of these close-knit units still remained in the division. To make the tunnels safer and quicker to deploy, the British Army enlisted experienced coal miners, many outside their nominal recruitment policy. The desperate need for skilled men saw notices requesting volunteer tunnellers posted in collieries, mineral mines and quarries across South Wales, Scotland and the Northeast of England covering Derbyshire, County Durham, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire. In addition, specialist tin miners were also recruited from the Cornish mines mainly joining the 251st Company RE. To attract the tin miners, a per diem of six shillings a day was offered to underground miners, which was around double to that was being paid in the mines. The mining assistants who acted as 'beasts of burden' were often made up of "Bantams" - soldiers of below average height who had been rejected from regular units because they did not meet the height requirements.

The name derives from the resemblance of their colorful eggs to Easter eggs and for many years most hatcheries mistakenly labeled their Easter eggers as Ameraucanas or Araucanas. The Araucana, Ameraucana, and Easter eggers are descended from the same foundation stock that spread around the world from Chile and the Falklands. Because of the many breeds that go into them, Easter eggers come in many colors and patterns.

Owen came through the ranks with Everton under Harry Catterick, and made two First Division appearances for the "Toffees" in the 1967–68 season. However he failed to add to his league appearances at Goodison Park, and moved to Bradford City in June 1970. Jimmy Wheeler's "Bantams" finished just two places and one point above the Third Division relegation zone in 1970–71, but were relegated to the Fourth Division after finishing in last place in 1971–72 under new boss Bryan Edwards. Owen scored six goals in 47 league appearances for Bradford, and was sold to Chester in June 1972 for a fee of £1,000. He made his "Seals" debut in a 1–1 draw with Cambridge United in August 1972, and went on to bag 41 league goals in 199 appearances in one of the most successful periods in the club's history.

However, the tables turned in the second half as Filipe Morais, Andy Halliday, and Mark Yeates would each score a goal (including one in stoppage time) to help Bradford City win the game 2–4 and thus allowing the Bantams to reach the Fifth Round of the FA Cup for the first time in 18 years. It also ended at-the-time Chelsea manager, José Mourinho's, and Chelsea's hopes of winning a quadruple that season. It was also Chelsea's first loss at home during the entire season, and the first time they had conceded three goals at home to a lower division side in the FA Cup since their 1991 Third Round match against Oxford United. Paynter joined Southend United on a three-year contract on 7 August 2006 for an undisclosed fee, although he actually joined the Shrimpers a few days earlier on loan, to enable him to play in their match against Stoke City. Paynter scored his first and what turned out to be only Southend goal in a 3–2 League Cup victory over Brighton, but lost his place in the first team due to a lack of goals. Paynter's stay at Southend was brief, interrupted by a hamstring injury, and on the last day of the January transfer window of the 2006–07 season he was loaned out to Bradford City for a month, having made just eleven appearances for Southend. Paynter made his debut for Bradford City against Nottingham Forest on 3 February 2007, scoring a last minute equaliser to earn the Bantams a 2–2 draw.

Before the action could be undertaken, a great deal of preparation was required, much of it innovative. To assist the attack, the Royal Engineers constructed of tunnels, graded as subways (foot traffic only); tramways (with rails for hand-drawn trollies for taking ammunition to the line and bringing casualties back); and railways (a light railway system). Bushman, note high exhaust. The off-road Bushman version was available as an export model, for Africa and Australia in particular, but 300 were sold in the UK. All UK Bushman models carry the engine number prefix BB. The precursor to the Bushman was a stripped down D7 called a Bronc Buck but the Bushman models proper were fully equipped with lights, high level exhaust systems, side strands and sported dual seats apart from the commercial farming focused Pastoral model with its single saddle and carrier rack. The very first Bushmans were derived from the D7 but produced in far greater numbers as D10 models, some D14 and ultimately the B175 Bushman from 1969 - 71. There are various air filters fitted to the Bushman models but all were mounted remotely from the carburettor behind the side panels where the battery was on road Bantams, the Bushman models had direct lighting so dispensed with the battery.

He scored the last-gasp penalty that pinched a point at Elland Road on Grand National Day 1990 in a heated local derby against Leeds United. It was while at Bradford that Tinnion expressed himself when pushed forward onto the left side of a three-man midfield in the early 1990s, the Bantam soon had the reputation of having the most creative left foot of the lower leagues. Tinnion found himself top-goalscorer in all competitions across all four divisions by Christmas 1991 with 13 goals (most of which spectacular), but he picked up a career-threatening injury at Hartlepool on Boxing Day 1991; in front of a host of top-flight scouts so it was thought. His injury was overcome in time to start the 1992–93 season in the Bantams starting line-up, but before the season was out, in March 1993, he failed to agree a new contract and moved on to Bristol City for a tribunal-set fee of around £180,000.

The team finished the event with a 7-3 record, tied with Manitoba's Matt Dunstone in third place. On 5 January 2017, Jones signed for another League One club, Bradford City, on a two-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee. After spending five weeks out with a hip injury, he recorded his first goal for Bradford after coming on as a substitute to score the winning goal in a 2–1 victory over former club Port Vale at Vale Park on 25 February. He scored five goals in 15 league games for the "Bantams" in the second half of the 2016–17 season, and also appeared as a 74th-minute substitute for Billy Clarke in the play-off final defeat to Millwall at Wembley Stadium. Jones opened the 2017–18 campaign with five goals in 11 games before damaging his ankle in a 1–0 defeat to Plymouth Argyle at Valley Parade on 11 November; he was forced to undergo surgery and was subsequently ruled out of action for four months.

In 1933, Goodman stated "We don’t want a Southern league, nor a secondary league." Yet by the summer of 1934, his new league was to have teams representing Memphis (Tigers), St. Louis (Gunners), Oklahoma City (Chiefs), Tulsa (the newly renamed Oilers), Charlotte (Bantams), Louisville (Bourbons), Dallas, and Houston. Even then, plans for the league had to be altered as neither Dallas nor Houston had organized teams at that point… and the Gunners did not want to join the embryonic league as they had aspirations for joining the NFL (in fact, the team bought the NFL’s Cincinnati Reds franchise for $20,000 on August 8, 1934, but the sale was vetoed by the NFL team owners). In August, Oklahoma City was expelled from the league because their home stadium (a minor league baseball park) could hold only 2000 people in the grandstands (the Chiefs would continue as an independent team for two more months before folding); at the same time, Houston was dropped from the lineup as there was no progress in organizing a football team in time for the start of the season.

In January 1988, Adcock was signed by Northampton Town in exchange for Trevor Morley and the £85,000 fee was a record figure for the club at the time. During his first spell at Northampton, he netted 30 goals in 72 league appearances, but when the Cobblers were relegated to the Fourth Division in the 1988–89 season, he secured a £190,000 move to Bradford City in October 1989. Having scored on his debut for after just 21 minutes for Bradford, he only managed a further five league goals for the club. The Bantams were relegated to the Third Division and Northampton re- signed Adcock for £75,000 in January 1991. The club's financial plight proved to be a blessing for Adcock as he scored 10 goals in 35 appearances, eventually being offloaded to Peterborough United in a £35,000 deal. Adcock opened his scoring account for the Posh on 11 January 1992, netting a brace in a 4–1 win over Fulham. He scored 35 league goals in total for Peterborough in 111 appearances from 1992 to 1994, aiding the club to promotion to the newly restructured Division One via the play-offs in 1992.

Born in Sheffield, Scott joined Bradford City as a youth player, and played 39 times for The Bantams, mostly as a Winger. In February 1937 he was signed by Arsenal, in exchange for Ernie Tuckett, though he only played as a reserve for the first two years at the club. At the start of World War II, Scott joined the Royal Air Force as a PT instructor, but still guested as a player for the RAF, Arsenal, Sheffield United, and England in wartime matches. By the time peace broke out, Scott had grown into being one of the country's most assured full backs, known for his pace and composure on the ball. He made his official first-team debut for Arsenal against West Ham United in the FA Cup in 1946, and his League debut on the first day of the 1946-47 season; he also made his official England debut against Ireland in September of that year. Arsenal won the First Division title in 1947-48, but after that Scott was blighted by injury; he was stricken with a bout of appendicitis in 1948, and then injured his knee whilst playing in an international for England against Wales on 10 November 1948.
