The performance led Ariola Records to re-release "La Bagarre" and sign her to a six-album record contract. The single was also promoted by an appearance in German TV show 3 nach 9. "La Bagarre" was included on Lear's 1977 debut album I Am a Photograph. However, it was removed from the track listing of subsequent pressings in favour of "Queen of Chinatown".

I Am a Photograph was re-issued with alternative track listings and covers. The second West German pressing replaced "La Bagarre" with "She's Got the Devil in Her Eyes", which was an instrumental version of "Blood and Honey". On the following edition, "La Bagarre" was omitted in favour of the new recording, "Queen of Chinatown". American edition included an extended version of "Blood and Honey" while the 1978 East German release featured "Mother, Look What They've Done to Me", a Sweet Revenge album track.

In 1980, "La Bagarre" was re-released with "Le Chat de gouttière" on side B, a song with both music and lyrics written by Lear and recorded for francophone markets. Lear recorded the English-language version of the song for her 2014 album of Elvis Presley covers, My Happiness.

During the 1920s he experimented with modern French stylistic developments, exemplified by his orchestral works Half-time and La Bagarre. He also adopted jazz idioms, for instance in his Kitchen Revue (Kuchyňská revue). In the early 1930s he found his main fount for compositional style: neoclassicism, creating textures far denser than those found in composers treating Stravinsky as a model. He was prolific, quickly composing chamber, orchestral, choral and instrumental works.

Omar Ben Salaad's city Bagghar sounds like bagarre, the French word for "fight" or "brawl". "Omar" is a common Arabic name, but Omar Salaad also sounds like homard salade ("lobster salad"). Omar Ben Salaad is portrayed by Gad Elmaleh in the motion capture film The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn; however, in the film he has no part in any conspiracy, merely owning a palace at which Bianca Castafiore performs.

"Incredibilmente donna" was Lear's first single, since her debut "La Bagarre", not to be produced by her usual collaborator Anthony Monn. Instead, the song was written by Italian composers Sergio Menegale and Raffaele Ferrato, produced by Arturo Zitelli, and recorded in Milan. It was a departure from the disco-dance style and showcased a more traditional pop-oriented sound with symphonic arrangement. The single promoted Lear's greatest hits compilation Ieri, oggi, released exclusively on the Italian market.

The cover of Presley's "Trouble" was released as Lear's debut single in 1975. The French-language version of the song, "La Bagarre", met with a modest success in Germany in 1976, followed by "Blood and Honey" later the same year, which met with a major commercial success and was an international breakthrough for Lear in 1977. "Tomorrow" subsequently became a number 1 single in Italy and a trademark hit. "Blue Tango" and "Alphabet" were released in certain territories, but did not chart.

The song's lyrics were written by Amanda Lear herself and the music was composed by Anthony Monn, her musical partner at that time. It's an uptempo disco composition with characteristic oriental elements. The song was released as the sixth and final single from Lear's debut album I Am a Photograph in late 1977, however, was included only on the album's re-issue, replacing "La Bagarre". The B-side of the single was "Alphabet", which had earlier received a separate A-side single release in the Netherlands. In Japan, "The Lady in Black" was released on the side B. "Queen of Chinatown" was heavily promoted by numerous TV performances in 1977 and 1978.

In 1974, disillusioned by a shallow and conservative fashion industry and encouraged by her boyfriend Bowie, who paid for singing and dancing lessons, Lear decided to launch a career in music. Bowie recommended a Hungarian voice coach Florence Wiese-Norberg, with whom he also worked, and the pair subsequently recorded a demo track called "Star", which remains unreleased to date. Lear's debut single, "Trouble", a pop-rock cover of Elvis Presley's 1958 classic, was released unsuccessfully by minor label Creole Records in the United Kingdom. A French-language version of the track, "La Bagarre", was released on Polydor in France and while equally unsuccessful there, it became a minor disco hit in West Germany in early 1976.

On 19 February 2009, in a match between Brasil Pelotas and Ulbra Canoas, striker Rogério Pereira celebrated the final goal in Ulbra’s 5-2 away win by heading over to the home supporters and making a gesture said to be imitating Claudio Milar's goal celebrations. This infuriated the home fans and many of the late Milar's teammates who instantly set upon Pereira. On 17 April 2011, Lux was struck in the neck with a broken champagne glass by Formula One driver Adrian Sutil whilst at a nightclub in Shanghai. Lux filed a criminal complaint against Sutil for physical assault and grievous bodily harm. In January 2012 Sutil was found guilty by a court in Munich and given an 18-month suspended prison sentence and fined 200,000 Euros. However, the eighth scene, the Siege of Compiègne, is notable for a more modern-looking visual effect: in that scene, actors move much closer to the camera, in the distance of a medium shot. This is the second example, among Méliès's extant films, of experiments with medium shots; the first had occurred the previous year in Bagarre entre journalistes, an installment of Méliès's series The Dreyfus Affair. An advertisement for the film claims that "almost 500 people" can be seen in the grand parade at Orléans, an effect created by having a moderately sized group of people cross the screen from left to right, go around the north side of the studio, and re-enter, repeating the cycle several times to simulate a much larger crowd.

Singer and model Amanda Lear recorded a French-language version of "Trouble", retitled as "La Bagarre", with French lyrics written by Vline Buggy (originally recorded by Johnny Hallyday in 1962). The cover was released as her debut single in France and Belgium in 1975 by Polydor Records, with "Lethal Leading Lady" on the side B, a song co-written by Lear. The single turned out a commercial failure and in 1976, an English-language version with original lyrics was released in the UK by Creole Records and other parts of Europe, again to no chart success. Lear performed the song in an episode of Musikladen aired 29 May 1976 in West Germany, clad in black leather outfit, alluding to Presley's tough 1950s image.
