Teg Ali Teg was a Bhojpuri author and poet. He was from Varanasi and is known for his book Badmash Darpan. He is credited to write Ghazals in Bhojpuri for the first time.

Badmash Darpan (Bhojpuri: 𑂥𑂠𑂧𑂰𑂬 𑂠𑂩𑂹𑂣𑂝) is a Bhojpuri book written by Teg Ali Teg, which is a collection of Bhojpuri Ghazals written in Purbi or Kashiki, the dialect of Bhojpuri, spoken in Benaras. The works are centered about the customs and traditions of Benaras. It is one of the oldest book published and Bhojpuri and first collection of Ghazals in Bhojpuri. The book was published in 1885 from Bharat Jiwan Press as was a collection of 23 Ghazals.

In 2013, the first high definition Pashto film Zama Arman was released. Meera feels insulted and she goes to her brother Saud who is the "badmash" of the film. Saud takes his men and goes to Momi's house and kills his brother and sets his house on fire. And then he kills Noman's sister as well. Since Meera thinks that she was responsible for making Momi's brother kiss her hand, Momi and Noman tries to file case against Saud but Saud hires a police officer who that police officer files a fake case of terrorism against Momi and his mother.

In 2003, Veena appeared in Indo-Pak cross venture Punjabi film Pind Di Kudi which failed commercially, however, it was the first Indo-Pak venture film with a budget of approximately 70 million rupees. She also appeared in Askari's Sassi Punno (2003) alongside Sana and Moammar Rana, however the film failed to do well at Lahore's cinemas and further screenings stopped in cinemas after a week of its release. She then appeared in Rafique's Jageer. In 2005, she appeared in a short Punjabi film Bau Badmash (2005) which also failed to garner recognition.

Avinash Vyas was born in the Indian state of Gujarat on 21 July 1912 and had his initial music training under Ustad Allauddin Khan. His career started with HMV for their Young India label where he cut his first gramophone record in 1940 and debuted as a film music composer in with the Gujarati film, Mahasati Ansuya in 1943, partnering the renowned musician, Ustad Alla Rakha. Two more films were released the next year, Krishna Bhakta Bodana and Laheri Badmash but both were not successful. His first major hit came in 1948 with Gunsundari, a bilingual in Gujarati and Hindi.

In 1929 Desai joined Ranjit Film Company, where he initially worked as an assistant director for Chandulal Shah's Rajputani and Nandlal Jaswantlal's Pahadi Kanya. His first independent directorial work was the 1930 film Noor-e-Watan (Translation: Glory of the nation). A few films he had directed while working as an assistant director at Ranjit Film company were Do Badmash (1932), Char Chakram (1932) and Bhutio Mahal (1932) featuring Ghory and Dixit who were called the Indian Laurel and Hardy. One of his films Toofani Toli (1937) was a commercial success and earned him reputation as a director of comedy films.

She left film industry and made a Blockbuster come back with Bhai Log (2011).

'Bonny' is harassed by some 'Badmash' (goon) on her way back home while a wise old man reminisces about the British Raj days remarking that nobody dared to look disrespectfully at anybody else's daughter or sister and that Independence of Pakistan in 1947, has brought us very little that is positive and tangible. Meanwhile, the college girl has had enough of the daily harassment at the hands of the men in the street and announces to her bemused parents about her intention of quitting her education altogether. Both parents are angry and wish that she continue her studies and the father, a righteous honest soul decides that from the next day onwards, he will accompany his daughter on her way to and back from her college. The next day, on the way to college, the father and daughter are inevitably menaced by the goons and a battle to death ensues with both father and daughter being slaughtered by the evil goons in the broad daylight with no apparent fear of police intervention.
