The arc it's traveling can't be solely due to the gravitational force of the sun, planets and large asteroids.
"Nevertheless, we must continue searching for asteroids in case there is one that is heading our way," he added.
And the red dots are the most menacing of all: the asteroids that drift into the orbit of Earth.

It could smash into another planet, be swallowed by a black hole, or get pummeled to death by asteroids.
There are also plenty of smaller asteroids out there that could still cause massive damage if they hit us.
And NASA does have the technology to find these asteroids and track when they will pass closely by Earth.
Making a crater will also offer clues to how asteroids similar to Ryugu respond to being struck by objects.
Comparing data from different asteroids will create a fuller picture of what the early solar system was like. Perhaps.
But then other astronomers kept finding more rocks in that region, and eventually they were all classified as asteroids.
We're not in immediate danger of any asteroids colliding with Earth — at least not as far as anyone's aware.
This is why asteroids and comets are considered to be the leftovers of material that formed the solar system.
Ideally, he added, such a spacecraft would detect dangerous asteroids decades ahead of time so they could be deflected.
The idea is to capture asteroids, insert then into orbit around the moon, and then mine them at leisure.
It's spotted around 60 near-Earth asteroids, including two in July in the hours before they zoomed past Earth.
But asteroids are made up of metals and rocky materials, while comets are made of ice, dust, and rock.
It almost certainly wouldn't be able to stop Earth-destroying asteroids, but many square miles of high-power lasers could basically be used as a kind of gigantic telescope, leading to extremely detailed mapping of the moon or other rocky planets, or a proactive way to find asteroids, Earth-killers or not.
Similar asteroids crashing into Earth are believed to have provided the organic materials and water needed for life to form.
The study's authors still aren't exactly sure what could be causing the asteroids to disintegrate, but they have some ideas.
And also whether most asteroids kicked out of a planetary system would have any life on them to start with.
NASA's Center for Near Earth Object Studies keeps track of the asteroids and comets that come close to our planet.
All three asteroids were discovered by the Catalina Sky Survey while astronomer Richard Kowalski was overseeing observations, NASA officials said.
"The fact that these asteroids are dark...tells us, first of all, that they can all be related," said Walsh.
