In a panic that he will be discovered, Kira is pierced by Yoshihiro's Arrow a second time, giving Kira's Stand a new ability which revives Hayato.

Rescued against all odds, Mance is brought to the moon to recuperate, where he is able to assume the identity of the ship's late first officer, Dante Alexios, by undergoing extensive nano reconstruction to make him appear outwardly identical to Dante Alexios. With his new persona, Mance/Dante leads a successful engineering career, which empowers him to plot his revenge against those whom he blames for his downfall: the simple but good-natured New Morality clergyman Elliott Danvers, and Molina (who has since married Lara with whom he has a child) and the Yamagata Corporation. Mance lures the three to Mercury where he manages to infiltrate the Yamagata operations and cause financially ruinous delays to their Mercurian project by planting Martian rock samples containing organic compounds there. These he allows to be discovered by Molina, who believes them to be authentically Mercurian and heralds them as a great discovery.

John Daker's final appearance is in The Dragon in the Sword, in which he leaves Urlik Skarsol's world forever to assume the identity of Prince Flamadin in the Six Realms of the Wheel, where he befriends concentration camp escapee Count Ulric von Bek and Ermizhad look-alike Alisaard. They embark on a quest to free the cosmic dragon trapped in the Dragon Sword before the real Flamadin's sister, Princess Sharadim, uses it to free Archduke Balarizaaf and his army of Chaos. During the course of their adventure, they manage to reunite the Ursine Princes, find the Holy Grail, convince Adolf Hitler to lose World War II, summon the Warriors on the Edge of Time, defeat the Archduke's army of Chaos, and break the Dragon Sword in half, freeing the dragon within. Ulric, having fallen in love with Alisaard, decides to join her as the dragon leads her people, the Eldren Ghost Women, to the plane of their male counterparts.

At the beginning of his quest, Gersen owns a small spaceship, and otherwise possesses little wealth, though enough to go extremely well armed when circumstances both demand and permit it, and enough to further his detective work with occasional minor purchases and bribes. During the events described in The Killing Machine, however, Gersen gains fabulous wealth (10 billion SVU in cashUsing 1964 as the base year for US$ inflation this is 76.6 billion SVU in current (2014) prices) by running a scam on Kokor Hekkus, a Demon Prince who is holding him for ransom, and on Interchange, the institution that facilities the ransoming of kidnap victims. However, he is not given to conspicuous consumption and, barring expenditure on a succession of new and more luxurious spacecraft, he uses his money mostly to further his work. He acquires at least one bank and a magazine with galaxy-wide circulation, the latter allowing him to assume the identity of a reporter from time to time.

In the 2017 independent visual novel Butterfly Soup you take on the respective roles of four queer Asian-American girls who attend their first year of high school and their local baseball club. The plot mostly follows the lives of Diya and Mihn-Soo and deals with many themes such as child abuse and homophobia but retains a very lighthearted theme overall. In the 2017 Visual Novel Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator the protagonist which is a created character, can assume the identity of a cisgender male, or a transgender male, and is also given the option to be bisexual or homosexual, which is denoted by having a conversation with the protagonist's daughter about her life up to this point. Most of the characters themselves don't reference their sexuality in any way, but some are clearly bisexual or at least, Bi-Curious, as evidenced by the character Joseph who in-game is married with a wife and several children but is still a romance-able character.
