Long Ambients 2 (printed as Long Ambients Two on the cover) is the sixteenth studio album by American electronic musician, songwriter, and producer Moby, released on March 15, 2019. It is the sequel to his previous ambient album, Long Ambients 1: Calm. Sleep. (2016).

In what follows it is shown that mobile membranes have at least the expressive power of mobile ambients and brane calculi by encoding mobile ambients and brane calculi in certain systems of mobile membranes.

Long Ambients 2 is the follow-up to Moby's earlier ambient release, Long Ambients 1: Calm. Sleep. (2016) and offers more than 200 minutes of ambient music to put a listener to sleep or to meditate. Moby had struggled to find music that helped him sleep better, so he decided to compose some himself. He intended the music to also help people calm down, reduce anxiety, and aid in their own sleep issues.

In March 2019, Moby released his previous album, Long Ambients 2, which continued the format of a collection of longform ambient tracks that he had produced for the first, Long Ambients 1: Calm. Sleep. He then stepped away from music to promote Then It Fell Apart, his second autobiography that focuses on his life and career between 1999 and 2009. The book attracted some negative attention towards Moby as he claimed that he had a relationship with actress Natalie Portman, which she denied and called him a "creepy old man". After a series of appearances to promote the book, Moby cancelled the remaining dates and from June 2019, largely avoided the public eye.

In March 2019, Moby released a follow-up to his first long ambient album, Long Ambients 2. In January 2020, Moby announced that his new studio album All Visible Objects will be released on May 15. The first single, "Power is Taken" featuring D. H. Peligro, was released on the same day as the announcement. All profits from the album will be given to charity.

PtSi can be synthesized in several ways. The standard method involves depositing a thin film of pure platinum onto silicon wafers and heating in a conventional furnace at 450–600 °C for a half an hour in inert ambients. The process cannot be carried out in an oxygenated environment, as this results in the formation of an oxide layer on the silicon, preventing PtSi from forming. A secondary technique for synthesis requires a sputtered platinum film deposited on a silicon substrate.

Oxygen is extremely detrimental to the reaction, as it will bind preferably to Pt, limiting the sites available for Pt-Si bonding and preventing the silicide formation. A partial pressure of O2 as low at 10−7 has been found to be sufficient to slow the formation of the silicide. To avoid this issue inert ambients are used, as well as small annealing chambers to minimize amount of potential contamination. The cleanliness of the metal film is also extremely important, and unclean conditions result in poor PtSi synthesis.

Moby followed Play with albums of varied styles including electronic, dance, rock, and downtempo music, starting with 18 (2002), Hotel (2005), and Last Night (2008). His later albums saw him explore ambient music, including the almost four-hour release Long Ambients 1: Calm. Sleep. (2016). Moby has not toured since 2014 but continues to record and release albums; his most recent is All Visible Objects (2020). Moby has co-written, produced, or remixed music for various artists, including Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Pet Shop Boys, Brian Eno, The B-52’s, Beastie Boys, Britney Spears, Metallica, Public Enemy, John Lydon, David Lynch and more.

Subotić's debut studio album Disillusioned, having been turned down by the major Yugoslav record companies, was released as a part of the 30th anniversary celebration of the Radio Novi Sad show Randevu sa muzikom (A Rendezvous with Music) in a limited pressing of 500 copies. The recording sessions featured Milan Mladenović, Uroš Šećerov, Massimo Savić, Električni Orgazam bassist Zoran Radomirović "Švaba", and the pianist Branka Parlić. The album B-side featured the twenty-five-minute composition "Thanx Mr. Rorschach - ambijenti na teme Erika Satija" ("Thanx Mr. Rorschach - ambients on Erik Satie themes"), composed as a kind of a musical Rorschach test on the impressions from Satie's themes.

A two-mode hybrid version was planned to begin production in 2010, but Chrysler decided to cancel it in favor of a smaller test fleet of 140 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) Rams developed with support from a million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy financed through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Chrysler PHEV pickup project has an estimated total cost of million. The RAM 1500 pickup PHEV was introduced at the January 2011 Washington Auto Show. The vehicle is part of a three-year demonstration program intended to field test and evaluate battery performance across a wide range of drive cycles and temperature ambients, and also to evaluate customer acceptance.

In his composition Notturni for string quartet and wind quintet (1983, the Belgrade October Prize), Mihajlović made very successful intra-musical dialogue between the avantgarde musical language (Polish avantgarde school) and classical expression. There, the allusive tone-painting of nocturnal ambients was boldly combined with semi-hidden citations, in functional use of the avantgarde and classical composing techniques rooted in the Scriabine mode verticals.Z. Such comprehension of music as the extrapolation of a personal world of expression is the main characteristics of all Mihajlović’s works as of the mid-1980s: three songs for soloists and choir What Do I Dream (Šta sanjam, 1984), Bagatelle (1986) for violin and strings, Elegy (Elegija, 1989) for strings, Three preludes (1986–89) for piano. Scriabine’s mode remained the constant of Mihajlovic’s expression, as the basis for the inventive harmony that specifically "colours" his music, and so did the reduction to small thematic cores from which "arise" its main motives and the linear movement as a whole, frequently with ostinatos and pedals.
