On March 2, both Rayne and Gail Kim were part of a group of TNA wrestlers that took part in Wrestle-1's Kaisen: Outbreak event in Tokyo, Japan.

Their reign, however, lasted only a month, as they were stripped of the title when Showzuki was sidelined with a cervical spine injury. Showzuki never returned from her injury, instead resigning from Stardom. On June 23, 2013, Hojo teamed with Kaori Yoneyama and Yuhi to defeat Christina Von Eerie, Hailey Hatred and Kyoko Kimura for the vacant Artist of Stardom Championship. They lost the title to Kimura, Alpha Female and The Female Predator "Amazon" on November 4. In May 2014, Hojo made her Mexican debut by representing Stardom in the DragonMania 9 and Lucha Fan Fest 8 events.

Yuhi eliminated Toyota, Takako Inoue and Kansai from the match, before being eliminated herself by Kong. On October 20, Yuhi and Yoneyama entered the 2013 Goddesses of Stardom Tag Tournament, but were eliminated in their first round match by Act Yasukawa and Kyoko Kimura. On November 4 at Stardom's 100th event, Chibis lost the Artist of Stardom Championship to the Kimura Monster- gun (Alpha Female, The Female Predator "Amazon" and Kyoko Kimura) in their third title defense. On December 8, Yuhi pinned Kaori Yoneyama in a "Best of High Speed" tag team main event and afterwards challenged her to a match for the High Speed Championship.

The character Britta tends less toward severity, however, and more toward court fool, frequently engaging in slapstick physical comedy. Although she has unceasingly exhibited a lack of romantic interest in Jeff, Britta has acted on sexual feelings for him. She eventually sleeps with Jeff during a prolonged paintball match, and later embarrasses herself by publicly professing her "love" for him, which she claims, in the end, was merely the result of her compulsive competition with alpha-female rival Professor Slater. Surprisingly, Britta's embarrassing profession of love makes her popular with campus women at the beginning of her second year by giving her a reputation for fearlessness.

Following Knowles' performance of the ballad at The O2 Arena in London, a writer for the newspaper Irish Independent commented that "an Irish audience surely cannot sit through the old convent staple 'Ave Maria' ... without feeling something cold squeeze the heart." Alice Jones of The Independent felt that the performance was an "exceedingly odd segment" during the tour. While reviewing Knowles' performance at the Madison Square Garden, a writer of People magazine compared her look with Madonna's. While reviewing another concert by Knowles, Ann Powers of Los Angeles Times also compared the performance with "pop's ultimate alpha female" Madonna at the 1984 MTV Video Music Awards.

Tess Larnacraft from TV Buzz questioned whether Jade and Kyle would ever get together and said she could not "keep watching them skirt around each other for much longer." During a feature on soap couples that should be together, another Inside Soap columnist said Kyle should give up lusting after Kate and realise Jade is "The One." They opined that while neither of them have had a relationship for more than twenty four hours, it does put them on an even playing field. Cameron Adams of the Herald Sun later called Jade and Kyle's relationship "bumby" and he said Jade is an "Alpha female" whose kryptonite is Valentine's Day.

The first 5★Star Grand Prix, a two-block round-robin tournament, commenced on August 19 at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring, and ran until September 30, becoming their biggest annual tournament every year. The finals saw Yuzuki Aikawa defeating Kyoko Kimura on September 30. At Stardom Year-End Climax in December, the creation of the promotion's trios championship, the Artist of Stardom Championship, was announced. Stardom's next Korakuen Hall show on March 17, Stardom the Highest, would mark a World of Stardom title change for the first time ever when German wrestler Alpha Female, now aligned with Kyoko Kimura's Kimura Monster-gun unit, defeated Nanae Takahashi for the World of Stardom Championship.

The first season of the American television series Big Little Lies premiered on February 19, 2017, and concluded on April 2, 2017, on HBO. The series follows of five mothers, Madeline Mackenzie (Reese Witherspoon), a strong- willed, wealthy, and feared alpha female in Monterey with a first-grade daughter, Chloe, and teenage daughter, Abigail from an earlier marriage. Celeste Wright (Nicole Kidman), a retired lawyer and the mother of twin sons and appears to have a very happy life with her husband Perry, but he starts to show signs of being violent and beating Celeste in some those circumstances. Jane Chapman (Shailene Woodley), a young single mother raising her son, Ziggy and who's new in town became friends with Celeste and Madeline.

In March 2008, Sjödin took part in the American Wrestling Rampage (AWR) promotion's tour of Ireland, along with several former WWE wrestlers. During the tour, Sjödin had a five match series with German wrestler Alpha Female, which she won 3–2. In the beginning of 2009, she moved to Manchester, England to continue her training under the likes of Jon Ryan, Paul Tracey, Psycho Steve and Zack Sabre Jr. with NWA UK Hammerlock and The Wrestling Factory. While training in Manchester, Sjödin began incorporating more mixed martial arts and grappling based offense into her in-ring style. On May 8, 2010, Sjödin took part in Pro-Wrestling: EVE's inaugural event in Sudbury, Suffolk, England, losing to April Davids in the opening match.

On 8 May 2010, Gabert made her debut for women's wrestling promotion Pro-Wrestling: EVE under the ringname Alpha Female in England defeating Becky James and Janey B in two separate matches. Five months later on 16 October, Gabert once again defeated Destiny and Janey B in two separate matches. On 8 April 2011, Gabert participated in a tournament to crown the promotion's first Pro-Wrestling: Eve Champion, defeating Carmel Jacob, Em Jay and Kay Lee Ray in the first round and Shanna in the quarter final, only to lose in the semi-finals to Nikki Storm. The next day on 9 April, Gabert teamed with Janey B and defeated The Glamour Gym (Carmel Jacob and Sara Marie Taylor) in a winning effort.

They made their first successful title defense on March 20 against the team of Danshoku Dino, Gabai-Ji-chan and Makoto Oishi. On April 13, the Monster Army made another successful title defense against Dino, Oishi and Alpha Female. On April 21, Sasaki defeated Yasu Urano in a singles match and, as a result, took over his "Right to Challenge Anytime, Anywhere" contract, which gave him the right to challenge for the KO-D Openweight Championship anytime and anywhere he wanted to. As the contract was on the line in every match its holder took part in, Sasaki entered a storyline, where he began attacking referees whenever he was close to losing a match, causing a disqualification, which would cost him the match, but save the contract.

Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne reunited as "The Beautiful People" for one night on the January 30, 2014 episode of Impact Wrestling, defeating Gail Kim and Lei'D Tapa in a tag team match. On the February 27 episode of Impact Wrestling, The Beautiful People were reunited again in a tag team match against Tapa and Alpha Female, which they would lose when Tapa pinned Rayne due to interference from Chris Sabin and Kim. On the March 13 episode of Impact Wrestling, Angelina Love returned to TNA and called out Sky, wanting to reunite the team, and a week later on Impact Wrestling, Sky would accept Love's offer, while Rayne would decline. Love would later attack Rayne backstage, which would lead to a match between the two on the following week.

Labelled as a troublemaker at her new school, not least by her maths teacher Björgvinur and the local alpha-female Bára Sif, who bullies Halla and emerges as the book's main antagonist, Halla decides to live up to the label and be a 'vandræðaunglingur' (teenage delinquent). She shaves her head; endeavours to become friends with the Goth Anna Ninja and her friend Alexander Filippus, who, it emerges, suffers from depression; tries to start smoking; and concludes that she will not attend confirmation (a traditional and important rite of passage for Icelandic teenagers). However, Halla's nerdy tendencies are spotted by a popular and academically successful boy, Emil, who tries to convince her to compete on the school team for the TV quiz show Gettu betur. Halla fancies Emil and wants to participate, but is afraid to dilute her new, delinquent identity.

Hope herself gets caught up in the civil war when she and Ian Vail are captured by Dr Amilcar and his atomique boum volleyball team, who commandeer their landrover to return more quickly to the UNAMO stronghold in the Musave River Territories following a failed offensive against the Federal Army. The story intertwines different narrative strands as the reader is led into the vortex of Hope's complex world. Accompanying this are the author's detailed descriptions of chaos theory, the social and professional wrangling between the different project members working at the Grosso Avore Research Centre (Ian and Roberta Vail, the thoroughly dislikeable Anton Hauser and the Mallabars themselves), along with the human-like behaviour of the chimpanzees as one group sets out to destroy the other. The aggressors' motive is to ensure the return of the alpha female, Rita Lu, to her original group which has become dysfunctional during her absence, and these chimpanzee wars only come to an end as a result of human intervention.

She also became part of a stable named Tawashis with Hiroyo Matsumoto and Miho Wakizawa. The three went on to win the Artist of Stardom Championship on December 29, 2013, by defeating Alpha Female, The Female Predator "Amazon" and Kyoko Kimura. On July 27, 2014, Iwatani won her first singles title, when she defeated her teammate Miho Wakizawa for the vacant Wonder of Stardom Championship. After a record-setting eight-month reign, Tawashis lost the Artist of Stardom Championship to Hatsuhinode Kamen, Kaori Yoneyama and Tsubasa Kuragaki on August 10, 2014. On January 18, 2015, Iwatani lost the Wonder of Stardom Championship to Act Yasukawa. On April 23, 2015, Iwatani won the first annual Cinderella Tournament, defeating Koguma in the finals. As a result, Iwatani was granted a shot at Stardom's top title, the World of Stardom Championship, but was defeated by the defending champion, Kairi Hojo, on May 17. On May 6, Iwatani and Io Shirai, Thunder Rock, defeated Chelsea and Kairi Hojo to win the vacant Goddess of Stardom Championship. On October 11, Iwatani defeated Rosa Negra to also win the High Speed Championship. During their tag team title reign, Thunder Rock also won the 2015 Goddesses of Stardom Tag Tournament.
