On October 20, Horton was sentenced in Maryland to two consecutive life terms plus 85 years. The sentencing judge, Vincent J. Femia, refused to return Horton to Massachusetts, saying, "I'm not prepared to take the chance that Mr. Horton might again be furloughed or otherwise released. This man should never draw a breath of free air again." On April 18, 1996, Horton was transferred to the Jessup Correctional Institution (then called the Maryland House of Correction Annex), a maximum security prison in Jessup, Maryland, where he remains.
The FCC granted the extension on October 25, 2002, with a caution that the station's license was subject to forfeiture if they did not resume broadcasting by February 26, 2003—one year after the station first fell silent. The station resumed broadcasting before the deadline but went off the air again on May 8, 2003. This time, citing technical issues, Marengo Broadcast Associates again applied for special temporary authority to remain silent. The FCC approved this application on May 30, 2003, with an expiration date set for November 30, 2003.
MBC Radio planned on holding a special memorial broadcast for Jonghyun's long-running radio show, "Blue Night", on December 21, but decided to cancel it due to "the possible social effects of the late idol's voice going on air again." In addition, SM Entertainment commemorated Jonghyun's death with the release of "Dear My Family" as a charity single, posthumously featuring Jonghyun and other artists from the label. Moreover, SM Entertainment erected a memorial for Jonghyun at the Seoul's COEX SM Atrium from January 27 to April 30, 2018.
In homage to the show, a popular radio parody of Catchphrase, entitled Car Park Catchphrase was broadcast on The Chris Moyles Show on BBC Radio 1 from January 2004 until December 2005. It returned to the airwaves on 8 January 2007. It was taken off the air again because of the phone-in competitions being suspended but later returned. The format in comparison to the TV show slightly changed and required callers to play from their cars and 'honk' their horns when they knew the catchphrase being described.
Despite the temptation to return to the air again illegally, Kiss held off as the IBA floated that further licences would be made available - which they did so in September 1989. Kiss re-prepared their application but this time would gain the backing and majority investment of media group EMAP. On 17 December 1989, the IBA announced that Kiss had been awarded a licence on their second attempt. Kiss would establish its new studios and office on Holloway Road, and on 1 September 1990, Kiss commenced its legal broadcasting as Kiss 100.

The Pixie did well at Lympne, winning the £500 speed prize at 76.1 mph (122 k/h) as the Pixie II. The Pixie II also won the Wakefield prize at 81 mph (130 km/h) at Hendon, later that October. It flew mostly as the Pixie II thereafter, appearing at Lympne races in 1924 and, with an enlarged rudder, in 1925. It also flew in the RAF display of 1924. After a period of inactivity from about 1925 to 1937, it was in the air again until it crashed in April 1939.
" Mohamed Ibrahim, who is secretary general of the National Union of Somali Journalists, said, "(Mohamoud) was planning to bring the radio on air again. The reason is yet unclear, though he was very involved in civil society activism, such as youth in Banadir region in recent days. This is a really worrying trend for the journalists working in Mogadishu and the government has not done enough to investigate and bring suspects for prosecution." He further said, "This murder is the latest example of the extraordinary violence to which journalists are exposed in Somalia.
Rexroth claimed that "Major" had been on the Central Committee of the Communist Party in Milwaukee and was expelled for Trotskyist deviationism, but the factual basis for this tale, if any, is obscure. In 1929 Moore relocated to California, where he was to live for the rest of his life. Starting in 1937 he participated in the Federal Writers Project of the WPA, where his friend Rexroth was an administrator in the San Francisco office. His picaresque first novel Breathe the Air Again, was about the labor struggle in California during the 1920s.
In the same year by former Miss Patrícia Nogueira (1994-1995), but due to lack of financial resources, she left the air in 1995. After two years out of the air, the program returned being hosted by Debby Lagranha (1997-1998). With the serious crisis of the transmitter, the program left the air again and Debby transferred to the Globo TV. The program was created and directed by Maurício Sherman. The most enduring picture of the Club (in command of Xuxa) were the toy raffles sponsored by Estrela.
Immediately afterwards, channel 13 went off the air again, as the strike continued for nearly two weeks. The striking workers returned WNDT to the air after ten days and on September 28, the labor dispute was settled. However, the station's financial resources were drained, requiring an infusion of cash from the Ford Foundation to help keep the station running. NET originally wanted to merge its operations with WNDT, which would have given the station a direct line of funding as well as make channel 13 NET's flagship station.
"Christmas Time is in the Air Again" is a song by American singer and songwriter Mariah Carey from her second Christmas album and thirteenth studio album, Merry Christmas II You (2010). It was written and produced by Carey in collaboration with Broadway composer Marc Shaiman. Lyrically, it is about finding love during the Christmas season. The track garnered positive reviews from critics, with one describing it as an outstanding performance and the only song on the album that could compare to one of Carey's previous Christmas singles, "All I Want for Christmas Is You".
The ballad begins with Carey singing "Oh, Christmas time is in the air again" in her "whisper register", backed by a string section performed by Mike Valerio on the upright bass and George Doering playing the guitar. Other instrumentalists who performed on the bell and chime embellished track were Victor Indrizzo on the drums and Luis Conte on percussion. The orchestra was recorded and pre-mixed by John Richards and the concertmaster was Ralph Morrison; Shari Sutcliffe was enlisted as the orchestra contractor. Lyrically, the track is about falling in love during the Christmas season.
It was confirmed on November 15, 2012, that Carey would be performing at the NBC event Christmas in Rockefeller Centre later that month. The singer performed "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and "Christmas Time Is in the Air Again". Idolator writer Sam Lanksy wrote that she performed with "maestro vocals", but felt that her vocals on the latter rendition "eclipsed" that of the former. Carey also performed both songs when she appeared as a special guest on Michael Bublé's 3rd annual televised Christmas Special, which aired on NBC.
Then, he was seen in the movie Mallika, a horror film, where he was seen doing a negative role which was again appreciated but the movie had a moderate response at the box office. He then starred in Chandramukhi on DD1 and Kaala Saaya(Black), which aired on 9X/Sahara One. He also appeared in Kahani Chandrakanta Ki, which aired on Sahara One again directed and produced By Sunil Agnihotri. After this, he was off-air again for a few days and then was seen in the show Savdhaan India, for two episodes in a negative role.
Such bulletins were the forerunner to CONELRAD. The CONELRAD concept was originally known as the Key Station System. According to an FCC document created during the "Informal Government–Industry Technical Conference" on March 26, 1951: CONELRAD had a simple system for alerting the public and other "downstream" stations, consisting of a sequence of shutting the station off for five seconds, returning to the air for five seconds, again shutting down for five seconds, returning to the air again (for 5 seconds), and then transmitting a 1 kHz tone for 15 seconds. Key stations would be alerted directly.
The album produced three singles, including the US Adult Contemporary record- breaking song "Oh Santa!". It reached number-one in its second week, the quickest ascent in the history of the chart and the only song to do so. Other singles included "Auld Lang Syne (The New Year's Anthem)", a single release version of "When Christmas Comes" in 2011 with John Legend and the promotional "Christmas Time Is in the Air Again" in 2012. To support the album, Carey made promotional appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Lopez Tonight, and hosted her own television special called Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas to You.
Easy Listening i launched in Rotorua in late 1996 as Easy Listening i94.3FM and operated as part of a franchise agreement with local Rotorua station Triple X 99FM. The station featured a local breakfast show and networked programmes from Auckland at other times of the day, but closed in 1998. It resumed broadcasting in 2004 as Easy Listening i95.1FM with all programming networked from Auckland, but the frequency was sold on 31 March 2010 and Easy Mix was taken off the air again. The 95.1 FM frequency was sold to MediaWorks and was used to simulcast its talkback radio station, Radio Live.
Only two of the high-wing models are known to exist. One is owned and operated by Mid America Flight Museum in Mount Pleasant TX, the other by Kermit Weeks and is maintained in airworthy condition at Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, Florida. As pictured on timetable, March 21, 1934, Boston Maine Airways Central Vermont Airways, and other schedules; pictured in Boston and Maine Airways employee magazine, "Boston-Maine Airways, Inc., Take Air Again in Year-Round Service;" circa 1933; discussed at length by Robert W. When another DH.9A was forced down by the anti-aircraft fire, Anderson and Mitchell landed to pick up its crew, Captain William Elliot (later Air Chief Marshal) and Lieutenant Laidlaw. Mitchell was still on the wing and Laidlaw took over his Lewis machine gun in the rear cockpit in order to hold off a Bolshevik cavalry charge. With a punctured fuel tank, Mitchell holding onto the wing to plug the fuel tank, and two extra passengers, Anderson was able to get his plane into the air again. The four of them returned safely to the Russian RAF base.
An arrest warrant was issued for contestant Ryan Alexander Jenkins as a suspect in the murder of Jasmine Fiore, a 28-year-old swimsuit model who had recently moved to the Los Angeles area from Las Vegas. Fiore's body was found in a suitcase near a dumpster in Buena Park, California. On August 19, 2009, VH1 placed the series on indefinite hiatus out of respect for Fiore's family. The network also released the following official statement: Although VH1 officially stated the show was on hiatus, it gave strong indications that the show would never air again.
WCLH continued to broadcast after the tower collapse through the internet via their "Radio Stream" on their website. WCLH was able to broadcast over the air again after the tower collapse via a low powered signal from a temporary site by the end of December 2007. By December 28, 2007, the WCLH antenna (which survived the tower collapse) and transmitter was moved to a new tower 1 km east, northeast of its former location where it again resumed over the air broadcasting at 90.7 MHz to a significant portion of its original coverage area (see revised service contour map cited below).
It was described by Sandison as "a record for some sort of trial-by- fire, a claustrophobic, twisting journey that takes you into some pretty dark experiences before you reach the open air again." Their third album for Warp Records, The Campfire Headphase, was released on 17 October 2005 in Europe and 18 October 2005 in the United States. The album featured fifteen tracks, including "Peacock Tail", "Chromakey Dreamcoat," and "Dayvan Cowboy". Two versions of "Dayvan Cowboy" — the original and a remix by Odd Nosdam — are on the six-track EP, Trans Canada Highway, which was released on 26 May 2006.
WTAO was written off as a failure and signed off for the last time on March 30, 1956 due to low viewership (only a small percentage of Boston area television sets were even capable of receiving UHF as set manufacturers were not required to equip televisions with UHF tuners until 1964, following the 1961 passage of the All-Channel Receiver Act) and therefore, lack of revenue from sponsors. The station went back on the air on May 17, 1962 for a six-month Federal Communications Commission (FCC) study before being taken off the air again on November 17 of the same year.
KAHC-LD began operations in 1988 as K69FB, on analog channel 69, and was originally affiliated with the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). 2004 proved to be a bittersweet year for Fresh Air, as changes to Edinburgh University's academic calendar that autumn forced the station to fall back to an annual 28-day broadcast schedule, usually conducted in February or March. In February 2006, the launch of the local talk radio station Talk 107 forced Fresh Air off the air again, when Ofcom refused to issue any short-term licences surrounding the station's launch to discourage competition, citing section 1.7 of its notes for applicants document.Edward, Rhiannon; "New all-talk radio hopes to get tongues wagging", The Scotsman, 15 February 2006. The society opted instead to broadcast exclusively over the Internet for two months.
The first official broadcast took place in Kiev on 1 February 1939.History of television in Ukraine It was 40 minutes long and showed the portrait of Sergo Ordzhonikidze. He returned to the air to help cover the 2006 coal mine disaster in West Virginia. Because of his expertise in aviation accidents, Hager came back again to NBC Nightly News to report on the August 27, 2006 crash of Comair Flight 5191 and the October 12, 2006 plane crash that killed Yankees pitcher Corey Lidle. In March 2014 he again returned to NBC to report on the loss of Malaysia Airlines flight 370. In the 8.00 pm and 10.00 pm slots the channel broadcasts a repeat of shows from the previous day that have created a critical buzz in newspapers, chatter on social media through Twitter and Facebook and reaction on the overnight log of comments kept by the broadcaster. The 11.00 pm slot is used to repeat the programme shown on Channel 4 at 9.00 pm, which air again on 4seven at 9.00 pm the following day. The rest of the programmes on 4seven are repeats of the most popular ones of the week. Weekends are devoted to multiple repeats of the best-rated programmes of the past seven days.

It flew there for the first time on 21 August, coping with the windy conditions quite well though showing the side-to-side wallowing that had also been experienced with the Type E before its wing warping lateral control was replaced by ailerons. The next day the engine failed soon after takeoff and a wing and the undercarriage were seriously damaged in the resulting crosswind landing. The Type F was withdrawn from the trials and returned to the new factory at Cricklewood for repairs. It was in the air again in early November, flown with enthusiasm with a variety of passengers by Wilfred Parke on most days.
The Village Voice writer Rich Juzwiak felt that "Christmas Time Is in the Air Again" was the only song on Merry Christmas II You that matched "the magic" of "All I Want for Christmas Is You", describing it as "exquisite". "Auld Lang Syne (The New Year's Anthem)" is a rewrite of "Auld Lang Syne", a Scottish poem by Robert Burns. Track five is an interlude which is another medley titled "The First Noel" / "Born Is the King". "The First Noel" section is a soulful down-tempo song which consists of Carey delivering a piano-and-voice epilogue backed by an 808 drum machine, while "Born Is the King" is a piece of "pure baby-making magic", according to Juzwiak.
The Master manages to cheat death, and while the Doctor is on Earth his spirit takes over the body of a paramedic named Bruce (Eric Roberts). The Master (Roberts) then attempts to steal the Doctor's remaining lives by opening the Eye of Harmony inside the Doctor's time machine, the TARDIS, nearly destroying the Earth in the process. However, the Doctor and his companion Dr Grace Holloway (Daphne Ashbrook) are able to prevent the Earth's destruction, and the Master is sucked into the Eye. The TV film did not lead to the commissioning of a revived television series, and while Eighth Doctor stories continued in other media, Doctor Who did not air again on television until 2005.

He goes after the ball by crawling under the carpet, but he is not quite sure where it is, so he takes a sniff, bites down on the ball and comes out from under the carpet, the ball held tightly in his teeth. He throws the ball up into the air and tries to catch it in his teeth as it falls back to the floor but he misses, and his empty jaws snap shut. He throws the ball up in the air again, but this time it does not come down right after. As he is trying to figure out where the ball is, it drops out of the air and hits him on the head.

CBS, which also held the rights to Super Bowl XLIV, later aired a commercial during that game featuring then- Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow and his mother that discreetly refer to their anti-abortion viewpoints. The ad, sponsored by Focus on the Family, received similar controversy.Letter from Gloria Allred (Women's Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund) to Leslie Moonves (CBS), "Super Bowl Sunday Ad ", January 28, 2010. In a league-mandated policy meant to clear the airwaves of such advertisements, the NFL announced that those types of commercials would not air again during Super Bowl broadcasts (the league ended an advertising relationship with Levitra in March 2007 as an official league sponsor).
Geogaddi was described by group member Michael Sandison as "a record for some sort of trial-by-fire, a claustrophobic, twisting journey that takes you into some pretty dark experiences before you reach the open air again." Compared to their previous releases, the duo aimed to record a project “with more facets, more detail and a kind of concentrated recipe of chaotic little melodies,” as well as something “more fuzzy and organic.” He claimed that the title is a combination of different words with a particular significance but that they wanted listeners to decide on their own interpretations. The band recorded over 90 tracks for the album, ultimately choosing 23 based on how well they fit the project.
Following the announcement that Jenkins was connected with the murder of Fiore, VH1 put Megan Wants a Millionaire on indefinite hiatus out of respect for Fiore's family. It also deleted the show's page from the official VH1 website and dropped reruns of past shows from its schedule. It removed the show's archived episodes from the iTunes Store and cable video on demand services, leading to speculation that the show would never air again. It subsequently emerged that Jenkins had not only been charged with assaulting Fiore, but had been convicted two years earlier for assaulting a woman in Calgary. The latter incident had not been disclosed to either VH1 or Megan Wants a Millionaire producer 51 Minds.
There are verified accounts of German fighter pilots stopping their attacks to allow bomber crews to parachute from mortally stricken bombers. Nevertheless, the air war was bloody business and the objective of both sides was to wipe out the other. Some USAAF fighter pilots claimed they received unwritten orders from their officers to shoot enemy airmen parachuting over their own territory as they would rejoin their own units upon landing and fly in the air again to kill more Americans. Virgil Meroney of the 487th Fighter Squadron never shot a German pilot in his parachute, although on the other hand, he understood the mean realities of warfare and had no problem about killing an enemy aviator, regardless of whether or not he was helpless.
While Ana Paula Padrão had not yet debuted, Janine Borba temporarily took over the television newsstand alongside Marcos Hummel. The newscast was being presented in chroma key, due to the reforms in the newsroom's writing, for the debut of the "new" Jornal da Record and other programs such as the Fala Brasil and the journalistic Câmera Record. On June 29, 2009, the program went on the air again, with Celso Freitas and Ana Paula Padrão. From September 27, 2010, the program began broadcasting in HD. On November 1, 2010, Ana Paula Padrão and Adriana Araujo interviewed for the JR, Dilma Rousseff, who, the day before, had come out victorious from the polls for the first term of president of Brazil.
On 12 April, aircraft of the 4th Fighter Regiment took to the air again, chasing German reconnaissance aircraft, but the IK-2s did not record any victories. The following day, the 4th Fighter Regiment continued carrying out sorties, but around 12:00 the commander of the 2nd Mixed Air Brigade ordered the remaining aircraft of the 4th Fighter Regiment to be destroyed, and all personnel to withdraw via road to Sarajevo. At the end of the brief campaign, the Air Force of the Independent State of Croatia (, ZNDH) made the three or four surviving IK-2s serviceable using other captured aircraft for spares. At the beginning of 1942, there were four IK-2s in service with the ZNDH, but they lacked spare parts.
While many science fiction authors and other depictions in popular culture showed rockets landing vertically, typically resting after landing on the space vehicle's fins, Buck Rogers seems to have gained a special place as a descriptive compound adjective. For example, this view was sufficiently ingrained in popular culture that in 1993, following a successful low-altitude test flight of a prototype rocket, a writer opined: "The DC-X launched vertically, hovered in mid-air ... The spacecraft stopped mid-air again and, as the engines throttled back, began its successful vertical landing. Just like Buck Rogers." In the 2010s, SpaceX rockets have likewise seen the appellation to Buck Rogers in a "Quest to Create a 'Buck Rogers' Reusable Rocket." or a Buck Rogers dream.
The balloon gradually rose to the height of a mile or more, floating off up the lake, and in about an hour and a half disappeared. At seven o'clock the crew of the “Little Guide,” a small craft, saw the balloon about thirty miles from shore, trailing the car through the water, and tried to reach it; but before this could be done, the balloon, as if suddenly relieved of some weight, shot up into the air again and off into the distance. Night came on, and, with the cooling gas and natural loss of buoyancy, the luckless aeronauts doubtless came down upon the lake again. But they might have escaped with their lives had it not been for a violent storm which came up about eleven o'clock.
"Christmas Time is in the Air Again" is an original composition written and produced by Carey with Broadway composer Marc Shaiman for Carey's second Christmas album/thirteenth studio album Merry Christmas II You (2010). It was recorded by Brian Garten at multiple recording studios, including Henson Studios, 20th Century Fox Scoring Stage, Guardian Angel Studios, Germano Studios, Capitol Recording Studios, while it was mixed by Phil Tan and assistant Damien Lewis at The Ninja Beat Club. An extensive list of additional and assistant engineers were enlisted in the production of the track: Brett "Snacky" Pierce, Scott Risett, Kenta Yonesaka, Alex Guapera, Charlie Paakkari, Tim Lauber, Tom Steel, Greg Dennon, Denis St. Amand. Aside from being credited as a songwriter and producer, the song was orchestrated and arranged by Shaiman, who also performed the piano.
King George V and Queen Mary also visited that afternoon at very short notice, meeting competitors including Scott. The race commenced on time in front of an unexpected 60,000-strong crowd with the first plane to take off being the Mollisons' Comet named Black Magic and soon after C.W.A. Scott and Tom Campbell Black were in the air heading for Melbourne. Scott and Black touched down at their first control point in Baghdad 12 hours and later just a few minutes behind the Mollisons and were in the air again half an hour later on course for Allahabad. When they arrived in Allahabad, another 12 hours and later they had taken the race lead as the Mollisons' Comet was held up with complications to its undercarriage in Karachi.
Meanwhile, another group owner with a deep profile in Top 40 radio, Todd Storz, emerged as a potential buyer; however, potentially because of the dispute with stockholders that could have resulted, Cisler rebuffed his overture and stated his intention to put the station on the air again with the help of a "good friend". On June 19, The Times reported that a sale had been agreed to another Midwestern firm, Mid-Continent Broadcasting, headed by David Segal; the report was confirmed the next day, with a lease to take immediate effect. KEAR returned to the air—for the time being, with its prior format—on June 26 after settling its debts. The tax lien was finally lifted in mid-July, but the specter of more labor trouble moved in to take its place, as a stalemate threatened to develop with NABET.
During the first actions with tanks, it became clear that infantry often could not keep up with the tanks; not because soldiers were too slow—the early tanks themselves could only move at a walking pace—but because soldiers on foot remained vulnerable to machine gun fire, though tanks had been invented to solve that problem. On many occasions, positions gained at great cost were immediately lost for lack of infantry to consolidate. It was thought this problem might be solved by cramming a few infantry soldiers into each tank, but the atmosphere inside was of so poor quality that the soldiers became ill—losing consciousness or, when exposed to fresh air again, being incapacitated for about an hour while recovering from the noxious fumes inside the tank. They would be sick and suffer from severe headaches.
The first radio station associated with the university broadcast unofficially in the 1930s, when it was the National School of Agriculture (ENA); another, "Radio 6.6 Chapinguito", broadcast from the university in the 1950s under the auspices of professor Hebert del Valle. More broadcasting efforts were discussed in the late 1970s and 1980s, but it would not be until 1989 that a group acquired a 30-watt transmitter and started the modern Radio Chapingo. The station, known then unofficially as "XEUACH", was followed next year by the first proposal for a regional radio station with coverage beyond the university campus, but lack of space posed difficulties for the project. In August 1994, a tower was put into service, and the station went on the air again. With an official permit issued for XEUACH-AM in February 1997, the station on 1610 kHz became Mexico's first AM expanded band station.
The individual ommatidia are directed in all directions and accordingly, one may see a dark spot (the pseudopupil), showing which ommatidia are covering that field of view; from any position on the median plane, and nowhere else, the two dark spots are symmetrical and identical. Sometimes the needs for visual acuity in different functions conflict, and different parts of the eyes may be adapted to separate functions; for example, the Gyrinidae spend most of their adult lives on the surface of water, and have their two compound eyes split into four halves, two for underwater vision and two for vision in air. Again, particularly in some Diptera, ommatidia in different regions of the holoptic male eye may differ visibly in size; the upper ommatidia tend to be larger. In the case of some Ephemeroptera the effect is so exaggerated that the upper part of the eye is elevated like a risen cupcake, while its lower part that serves for routine vision looks like a separate organ.
Before its 2020 relaunch, the program was anchored by a rotation of weekend anchors which included Ignacio, Guilas, Ralph Obina (now with DZBB), Joseph Parafina, Juliet Caranguian, and a rotation of PTV News' Senior Correspondents. It was slateted to air again on weekday evenings beginning August 12, 2020, but was put on hold after COVID-19 infections in the People's Television Network, as well as disinfection procedures. This delayed the relaunch to almost a month, with the new Ulat Bayan plugs teasing Tulfo's return airing before September 7. On its debut episode, Ulat Bayan, alongside new morning show Rise and Shine Pilipinas, afternoon newscast Sentro Balita, PTV Balita Ngayon and late-night news program PTV News Tonight, transferred to a revamped Studio B, while updating it's graphics, theme music, and title card, leaving PTV Studio A for use of the network's other programs including its public service program, Public Briefing: #LagingHandaPH and Digong 8888 Hotline.
Once the engines were restarted, the ship dived through the cloud into freezing air again and, either because the automatic valves were jammed open, or because the ship had already lost too much gas above the clouds, it could no longer stay aloft. Although Umberto Nobile was the victim of a smear campaign after the crash, one criticism of him, from the master airship pilot Hugo Eckener is perhaps justified—that Nobile should never have climbed above the cloud layer in the first place.Hugo Eckener, My Zeppeins, Putnam, 1958 Another possibility is a rupture of one of the gas cells, although it is difficult to understand why this would not have been noticed immediately by any of the crew on duty. The most recent theory suggests that the outer shell of the airship was damaged during the pre-flight ice removal, when a group of men wearing ice cleats hacked at the airship with pickaxes.
An exception was made for emperors, who sang the seventh lesson, which begins with a quote from the Biblical account of the Census of Quirinius, Exiit edictum a Caesare Augusto ut describeretur universus orbis ("In those days a decree went out from Emperor Augustus that all the world should be registered"; ), deemed more appropriate because of the imperial connection. Before singing the lesson, the prince removed his hat and handed it to his servant, then unsheathed the sword, struck it against the ground three times, then brandished it in the air, again three times, and replaced it in the scabbard. As the matins ended, the recipient took leave of the pope and returned to his residence in Rome, preceded by a man-at-arms carrying the blessed sword and hat, and followed by cardinals, prelates, papal chamberlains, ambassadors to the Holy See, friends and retinue. If the prospective honoree was absent at the ceremony, the sword and hat, after being blessed, were carried by the chamberlain before the cross in the procession and placed on the epistle side of the altar in the basilica.
In 1977, the student managers of the station and the university administration agreed to push for an FCC license to broadcast on 88.1 FM.It was previously known that 88.1 was the only available frequency in the part of the FM spectrum reserved for non-commercial stations, but this had to be verified first by an engineering survey. Official and budgetary support from the university administration made this possible, and final approval for a 10-watt station on 88.1 FM came from the FCC in 1978."On the Air Again: Radio station WJHU is reborn as a student-run Internet radio offering," by Greg Rienzi, The Gazette, Vol. 32, No. 33, 5 May 2003 WJHU-FM began broadcasting in 1979, featuring a mixed format with jazz in the early morning, classical during the day, specialty programming in the early evening during weekdays and Saturday/Sunday morning including 60's oldies (with radio announcer Michael Yockel), acoustic/folk music (No Strings Attached with radio announcer Gary Kenneth Bass), art-rock (with radio announcer Janet Sanford), bluegrass (with radio announcer Carol Burris) and Irish music (with radio announcer Myron Bretholz) ; rock till midnight (predominantly new wave), and its signature NAR ("Not Available Radio") progressive programming at night, along with short news programming.
