Peterson calls the Black Lives Matter movement a "hate group" and compares the racial injustice protesters to the Ku Klux Klan. In a May 2018 interview on Good Morning Britain, Peterson stated, "Black Lives Matter is a far-left liberal, radical, agitative organization founded by a bunch of black lesbians and homosexuals and radical social justice warriors." In response, Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan accused Peterson of "homophobia," and Peterson's microphone was muted before he was kicked off the show. Peterson believes that "children's souls yearn for the souls of their natural mother and natural father, especially the father," and so he discourages bringing stepparents into children's lives.

In November 1944, the socialist partisans (LANÇ) took power and began immediately with the arrest of all public figures who were perceived to have collaborated with the occupiers or not to have supported the LANÇ before. The Bashkimi newspaper of the Democratic Front of Albania had already been coming out in early January 1945 with agitative editorials pointing to "traitors" and "people's enemies". Sixty of these public figures were the object a treason trial in March 1945 at a socialist Special Court with Prosecutor Koçi Xoxe. Xoxe, Minister of Interior, was considered from some as the most powerful person in Albania for the moment.

Later, being favoured by the post-war Hungarian government, he wrote agitational poems and schematic novels, for them he was awarded the Kossuth Prize (1949) and the Stalin Prize (1952). By 1953 Aczél radically broke with his earlier works; he gave up his an agitative poetry and became a leading figure of the literary opposition formed around Imre Nagy, that initiated the dismissal of the Stalinist-Rákosist literary control. After the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 was repressed, Aczél fled the country and emigrated to England (1957–1966), before eventually settled in the United States (1966–1994). He became one of the best-known figures of the Hungarians emigrants and did a lot to make the story of the Hungarian Revolution more known.
