Msgr. Joseph D. Brokhage (1964) The Latin School of Indianapolis served from 1955 to 1978 as a pre-seminary boys' high school for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis. In its first two academic years, the Latin School operated as part of Cathedral High School, an all-boys Catholic high school founded in 1918. The first class had 24 boys enrolled. During those two years, the school was named the Cathedral Latin School.

Dennis J. Murray is the interim President of Marist College, effective June 19, 2019. Formerly on July 1, 2016, Murray assumed the position of President Emeritus. In February, 2015, Murray had given advanced notice to the board of trustees, deciding to relinquish his daily role and responsibilities as the college's president when his contract was set to expire. She went on to become an instructor in geology at Bryn Mawr for the 1934–35 and 1937–38 academic years. In the same period, she was an instructor in geology and mineralogy at Barnard (1935–37, 1938–41).

Bruno Dettori (22 December 1941 – 2 August 2020) was an Italian politician. Dettori was born in Sassari. He graduated in agricultural science and gained experience of teaching abroad for two academic years at the Faculty of Agriculture in Asmara, Eritrea and became the author of 40 publications and research on national and international journals related to geology and hydrology. She held two sabbatical leaves at Bogazici University in the academic years 1980-81 and 1987-88.

Baker's 1947 book The Dignity of Man is a series of chronological studies tracing the development of Christian humanism until the Reformation. The growing number of students at Austrian universities reflects the liberalization of educational policy at secondary and higher levels. Between the 1955–56 and 1991–92 academic years, the number of students enrolled in institutions of higher education increased from about 19,000 to more than 200,000. The number of students beginning university-level education after completing the AHS program also increased and amounted to 85% in 1990, compared with 60% in the mid-1960s. Kehler began his Air Force training while in college with the United States Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps detachment at Penn State. While Kehler was in college, the Vietnam War caused controversy on campus and his ROTC unit was omitted from the Penn State Yearbook for the years 1971-1973. His unit continued to excel though, winning the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award for the academic years 1971-2 and 1974-5. Kehler was a distinguished ROTC graduate and officially entered into active duty service in April 1975.
Initiated in 2002 by university president, Albert K. Karnig, the President's Academic Excellence Scholarship program invites the top 1 percent of graduating high school seniors in San Bernardino County to attend Cal State San Bernardino. The program provides a full scholarship, including tuition, books and a small stipend, to eligible students and is renewable for up to four academic years. The program is designed to attract the best and brightest students to CSUSB who might otherwise be lured to colleges outside the area. , there were 132 enrolled presidential scholars.

Isabel Truesdell Kelly (1906–1982) was an American anthropologist known for her work with the members of the Coast Miwok tribe, members of the Chemehuevi people in the 1920s and 1930s, and her work later in life as an archaeologist working in Sinaloa, Mexico. She was trained by anthropologist Alfred L. Kroeber at the University of California, Berkeley. Kelly was awarded Guggenheim Fellowships for the academic years 1940–1941 and 1941–1942. In 1946 she was appointed Ethnologist-in-Charge of the Mexico city office of the Smithsonian Institution's Institute of Social Anthropology (ISA).
Metafluid dynamics was an effort to connect the ephemeral and statistical nature of quantum mechanical objects with the temporary and statistical, but yet stable, nature of "structures" in turbulent flows; that work was published as a research thesis (Marmanis 1993). The works that influenced its conception were Albert Einstein's insistence on a causal interpretation of quantum mechanics, De Broglie's mechanical models, and related work along these lines. The literature on the subject of aether models was discovered by the author upon completion of the theory's core ideas during the academic years 1994 and 1995.
When the Baptist Theological Seminary, Kakinada was revived in 1975, Dewolfe Barss took up the Principalship of the Seminary and led the administration for two successive academic years following which the Seminary Council of the Baptist Theological Seminary appointed S. E. Krupa Rao in 1977 to take over the Principalship from Dewolfe Barss. After serving in India until 1980, Barss settled down in Canada. Built at a cost of $44 million, it houses 44 classrooms, two auditoriums, the Academic Advising Center, Counseling and Testing Center, Multicultural Student Services, Office of International Education, and Student Support Services. He twice served as resident director of the Junior Year in Freiburg program, established and run in conjunction with the Albert-Ludwigs-Universitaet, and lived with his family in Freiburg, in the heart of the Black Forest, during the academic years 1983-84 and 1987-88. In 2009, students' associations at Carleton University and the University of Ottawa negotiated with the City of Ottawa to offer a citywide U-Pass. University Technical College Wigan (or Wigan UTC) was a university technical college (UTC) sixth form that opened in Wigan, Greater Manchester, England in September 2013. Wigan UTC specialised in process engineering and environmental technologies, and was located in the historic O & C Rushton Warehouse building in Wigan town centre. Sponsors of the UTC included the University of Central Lancashire and Wigan & Leigh College. Wigan UTC had an initial intake of students aged 14 and 16 (academic years 10 and 12) in 2013, however from 2015 the college stopped enrolling under 16's and only offered a sixth form provision.

Omar Gandhi, the founder of Omar Gandhi Architect is a Canadian architect currently living and working in Halifax and Toronto. He originally grew up in Brampton, a Toronto suburb, and studied in a Regional Arts program at Mayfield Secondary School in Caledon, located north of Brampton. Later in his academic years, he earned his undergraduate degrees in the Architectural Studies Program at University of Toronto and at Dalhousie University. He continued his studies at Dalhousie University where he earned his masters degree in 2015 and taught as a sessional instructor at the School of Architecture and Planning at Dalhousie.
The returns of Gunn and Murray from injuries and Greg Williams, who started in place of Gunn in 2008, give the Panthers a stable of experienced linebackers headed into the 2009 season. The NCAA released the 2009 Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores, which measure "a school's ability to retain its athletes and keep them eligible from semester to semester," on May 7. The 2009 scores are data from the 2004-05 to 2007-08 academic years. The Panthers football team finished with the fifth best APR scores in the 8-team Big East, with a score of 944 out of a possible 1,000.
During his term in the U. S. Navy, he served on the USS Rocky Mount. The sanctions include a one- year ban on postseason competition following the 2009–2010 regular season, a reduction of one scholarship for the 2009–2010 and 2010–2011 academic years, and reductions in the numbers of recruiting days and coaches participating in off-campus recruiting through 2011. The school also vacated all wins earned during the 2007–2008 season, due to Mayo's ineligibility at that time.
During the 2007–08 through 2010–11 academic years, the university violated NCAA rules in the certification of initial, transfer and continuing eligibility involving all sports programs. During the four-year period, numerous student-athletes competed while ineligible due to improper certification. In amateurism certification alone, 109 student-athletes practiced, competed and received travel expenses and/or athletically related financial aid before the university received their amateurism certification status from the NCAA Eligibility Center. Primary education in Spain lasts for six academic years and includes students ages 6 to 12 years old. Students learn cognitive and social development in primary school. Kathleen Tillotson's interest in literature was originally influenced by her father's occupation as a journalist. The beginning of her academic years consisted of graduating in English from Somerville College, Oxford in 1927. In 1929 she started work as a part-time assistant in the English Department at Bedford College, London before being promoted in 1933 to Junior Lecturer and, in 1937, to Lecturer (part-time). She eventually became a full-Time Lecturer at Bedford College, London in 1939 and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in January 1947 and in October of that year became a University Reader.
Whitecotton gained a position at the University of Oklahoma in 1967, initially as assistant professor in anthropology. He would remain associated with OU for the remainder of his academic career, in both teaching and administrative positions including as chair of the Anthropology Department (1969–1972), associate professor (1971–1980) and full professor (1980 until his retirement). Whitecotton also served as curator and consultant in ethnohistory at the Oklahoma Museum of Natural History and OU's Stovall Museum. In 2017 the school announced it was to phase out the sitting of the Common Entrance examination at age 13 (Year 8) and the two academic years leading up to them. All boys would select their future schools in Year 6 and, if required, sit 11+ entrance exams for them, and then leave at the age of 11. This change was made in order to follow the trend of senior schools preferring to admit the majority of their pupils at that age. The first 11+ cohort left in the summer of 2019, and the last 13+ cohort in the summer of 2020.

In 1935, John von Neumann, whom Ulam had met in Warsaw, invited him to come to the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey, for a few months. From 1936 to 1939, he spent summers in Poland and academic years at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he worked to establish important results regarding ergodic theory. The idol system has been criticized for its strict rules, intense work schedules, and offering idols little control over their personal lives. The system has been likened to salarymen in Japan who are unable to disobey their employers. From 1944 to 1946 he was a radio technician in the U.S. Navy. From 1951 to 1966 he worked in applied mathematics at the Westinghouse Research Laboratories, Pittsburgh, PA. On leave during the 1963-1964 academic year, he lectured in the Department of Engineering, University of California, Los Angeles. He joined the University of California, San Diego in 1966, where he was Professor, then Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering. Ncube taught laws at the University of Zimbabwe, the nation's largest university, from 1985 until 2000. At age 31, he was promoted to the position of professor, becoming one of the youngest at the university. At UZ he also served in various key positions which included Proctor (1986- 1995); Senior Proctor (1996- 2000); Chairman Research Board, Chairman of the Department of Private Law (1988-1996); member of the Staff Development Committee (1989-1994), and Member of the UZ Senate (1988-2000). During his academic years Ncube was visiting professor and scholar to various universities, which included the University of The North West (SA); University of Oslo (Norway), and Stanford University (USA).
As a result of the NCAA investigation, Mississippi State's football program was placed on probation by the NCAA for four years. In 1990, the NCAA placed Missouri's basketball program on probation for two years and banned the team from that season's post-season tournaments for major violations of rules regarding recruiting, benefits for athletes and irregularities in academics that occurred under Stewart from 1985 through 1989. Shadoan attended Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, where he played college football as a guard on the 1921 Centre Praying Colonels football team. Aerial photographs from c. 1941 show a partially completed school, but with some of today's wings missing. Review of Point Loma High School yearbooks of the era shows all six grades present at Point Loma HS through 1941. The 1942 Point Loma HS yearbook shows no seventh grade, which implies that the 1941-42 seventh graders were at Dana. The 1943, 1944, and 1945 yearbooks show only grades 9-12, so presumably Dana functioned as a grades 7-8 middle school in those academic years. Starting with the 1946 Point Loma HS yearbook, only grades 10-12 appear, so from 1945-46 onward, Dana evidently served grades 7, 8, and 9, with Point Loma HS serving grades 10-12.
The mountain biking team finished on the podium for 14 consecutive years at collegiate national championships until 2016, when they won the team omnium in Varsity Division II. In 2017 they finished fourth, for a 16th consecutive year on the podium. Although the mountain biking team was formed in the 1990s, the road and cyclocross teams were not added until much later, not competing in at the national championship level until the 2013–14 and 2014–15 academic years respectively. The Sunshine State Conference is a collegiate athletic conference that participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II. Its member institutions are located in the state of Florida, which is popularly known as the Sunshine State. The conference was originally formed in 1975 as a men's basketball conference. Herman T. Briscoe was born on November 6, 1893, in Shoals, Indiana. Briscoe received his teaching certificate in 1912 from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and began teaching at his home high school in Shoals for three academic years before becoming principal of Shoals high school and later superintendent of Shoals school district. He returned to Indiana University, earning his A.B. degree in chemistry with high distinction in 1917. Briscoe would then enlist in the U.S. army as a private in May of 1918, transferring to the Hercules Powder Company as a research chemist until his discharge in 1919. Between 1919 and 1922, Briscoe held successful teaching positions at Stark’s Military Academy, as an Austin Teaching Fellow at Harvard University, and at Colby College.
Economy and Society on Both Shores of the Aegean Seminars OBARC hosted a series of monthly seminars from 2004 to 2007, organized in collaboration with Alpha Bank and the History Department at Bogaziçi University. Focusing on the Greek-Orthodox populations during the late Ottoman period and the first decades of the Republic, the seminars addressed issues concerning ethnic and civic identity, inter-communal relations, urban culture, educational policies, commercial activities, social networks, the exchange of populations, and the Patriarchate. To foster discussion among historians from both shores of the Aegean and contribute to international research literature, the papers submitted to the seminars for three consecutive academic years were compiled into a book by Dr. Lorans Tanatar Baruh and Assist. Prof. Vangelis Kechriotis.

(His two younger children were born in Canada.) From 1960 until he retired in 1989, Maurice Sion was a professor of mathematics at the University of British Columbia. Arie Poldervaart grew up in Java, which was then part of the Dutch East Indies. In September 1934 he went to the Netherlands to complete his schooling. For the two academic years 1935–1936 and 1936–1937 he studied applied and industrial chemistry at Technische Hoogeschool Delft. In the summer of 1937 he rejoined his parents in Bandung. UT Dallas conducts cybersecurity research in a number of areas including cross-domain information sharing, data security and privacy, data mining for malware detection, geospatial information security, secure social networks, and secure cloud computing. The university is designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Research for the academic years 2008–2013 by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security.
The Gosforth Secondary Modern School was opened in 1955 to serve 11–15 year olds in the Dronfield area, and the larger numbers brought in by the new housing estates. When Ulam returned to Los Alamos, his attention turned away from weapon design and toward the use of computers to investigate problems in physics and mathematics. With John Pasta, who helped Metropolis to bring MANIAC on line in March 1952, he explored these ideas in a report "Heuristic Studies in Problems of Mathematical Physics on High Speed Computing Machines", which was submitted on 9 June 1953. It treated several problems that cannot be addressed within the framework of traditional analytic methods: billowing of fluids, rotational motion in gravitating systems, magnetic lines of force, and hydrodynamic instabilities. The prestigious position was not without its challenges; he found little time to devote to painting, and further had to divide his attention between work and his devotion to his family. Art History, Business Administration, Government, Health Policy, Law, Medicine, Nursing and Public History are the degrees that SILS students can pursue simultaneously with their master's degree from SILS. Students are required to apply to both schools separately, that they enroll in only one program in any given semester, that they confer with dual degree coordinators for both programs, and are able to "double count" up to 20% of credits across degrees. Persons seeking admission to the Singapore Bar must obtain an approved law degree through completing a course of study of at least three academic years leading to that degree as a full-time internal candidate from an approved university. The degree is typically an LL.B. or an LL.B. (honours), depending on the university, or a J.D. (from one of only four approved US universities or Singapore Management University and Singapore University of Social Sciences). They are then required to sit for the Singapore Bar Examinations, which is divided into Part A (for overseas graduates from approved overseas universities only) and Part B (a five-month practical course, compulsory for both local and overseas graduates). They are further required to complete a six-month Practice Training Contract before they can be called to the Bar as Advocates and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
