Arch performing with Fates Warning in Lauda-Königshofen, 2016 Arch kept himself out of the metal scene for seventeen years (he currently works crafting custom furniture), with the exception of an audition for upcoming progressive metal band Dream Theater and a few others. He decided to get out of music and pursue other interests. He made his return in 2003, when his EP A Twist of Fate was released. The EP includes musicians Jim Matheos, Mike Portnoy and Joey Vera, all of whom Arch worked with at some point in the past.

Constitutionally, Louise was unable to inherit the thrones of Sweden and Norway. Her father Charles XV & IV was succeeded by his brother Oscar II. By a twist of fate, Louise's son, Prince Carl, did in fact eventually become King of Norway. He was elected to succeed her uncle to the Norwegian throne as a result of Norway's independence from Sweden in 1905.

She is researching the murders of two immigrant women in the same area in 1873, Karen Christensen and Anethe Christensen. In a twist of fate, Jean discovers archived papers that appear to give an account of the murders. According to the papers, a third woman, a Norwegian immigrant named Maren Hontvedt, survived the attack, which was allegedly done by Louis Wagner, who had once tried to seduce her.

In the Soviet Union during September 1941 there was an emergency evacuation of people from Leningrad across Lake Ladoga. By a twist of fate, a young couple, cadet- gunner Kostya Gorelov and his girlfriend Nastya Tkachyova, are on board the dilapidated barge 752, the purpose of which is the evacuation of the inhabitants of the Siege of Leningrad. The barge is badly worn out, but Nikolai Gorelov, Kostya’s father, taking responsibility, ordered it loaded with over 1,000 people, among them his son. Among the evacuees is NKVD investigator Vadim Petruchik, who led the case against Nastya's father.

Jim Matheos (born November 22, 1962) is an American guitarist and the primary songwriter for the progressive metal band Fates Warning, in which he has been the only consistent member since the group's beginning. Matheos also plays in OSI alongside Kevin Moore (Chroma Key, ex-Dream Theater), as well as making other appearances with many different bands and artists. He has also released two solo instrumental albums on Metal Blade Records. In 2003, Matheos collaborated with original Fates Warning vocalist John Arch on 2003's A Twist of Fate, Arch's first professional recording since leaving Fates Warning in 1987.

The cutter was innovated by Johnny Ace, who called it the Ace Crusher. It was later popularized by Diamond Dallas Page, who called it the Diamond Cutter, which is where the move got its name.

After a year working in Banff, Alberta, Frank returned home to play for the Ottawa Senators for the 1921–22 season, where he would play with his brother George. Because he had played senior hockey out west, his playing rights belonged to the PCHA, but he was allowed to play the season for Ottawa on condition he then play for the Vancouver Maroons in following seasons. Jim gives chase and in so doing again rides his horse down the steep mountainside. Patton shoots at him; the horse is killed and Jim is injured but manages to recover and resume the pursuit. Jim had earlier let the wild stallion which led the Brumbies loose into the wild again; in a twist of fate, the stallion shows itself from the wild at this crucial moment, and Jim finally trains the horse that has been the enigma of the entire district for decades.

When a scheduled November 1997 U2 concert at Olympic Stadium conflicted with an unexpected home playoff game against the Lions (due to the CFL's recently re-established 'cross-over' playoff rule), the team decided to move the game to Molson Stadium, where they had played from 1954 to 1967. Interest in the team soared and the game was sold out, prompting the team to relocate permanently to the smaller venue beginning with the 1998 season.

Lasky's winning ways came to a screeching halt, however, with a close ten round split decision loss to Steve Hamas at Madison Square Garden on October 5, 1934. The bout had great importance for the future of Lasky's career, as it was an elimination match to find an opponent for reigning World Heavyweight Champion Max Baer. A penalty for a backhanded punch in the fourth round may have been the only thing standing in the way of Lasky becoming a top contender for the heavyweight title. In a twist of fate, Lasky's manager appealed the back-hand penalty to the New York Boxing Commission and won, but the decision for Hamas was never reversed.

Sold to the Dwyer Brothers Stable, Ben Brush won the 1896 Kentucky Derby. The flag carried by Percival's party on the way to Bukit Timah was also a witness to this reversal of fortunes, being flown when the Japanese formally surrendered Singapore back to Lord Louis Mountbatten.

Male model Masayoshi Hazama decides to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming a superhero, despite having no superpowers or the technology to create a high- powered suit. He becomes the hero Samurai Flamenco and begins to fight crime in the name of justice. Police officer Hidenori Gotō finds out about Samurai Flamenco and his real identity by a twist of fate, which leads to him getting involved into much trouble, especially when they come across enemies that were not thought to exist outside of fiction. Nonetheless, these two young men will come face to face with hardships of being crime-fighters while discovering what it truly means to be a hero of justice.

Despite that, it distracted Eddie Edwards, who then received a Last Call super kick from Storm. At the Lockdown episode of Impact Wrestling, Hardy suffered a minor concussion which was set as a storyline injury when he fell on the door of the cage; James Storm hit Hardy off the door onto the steel steps below with a cowbell. Initially a victim of both of her father and her sister's deaths, the young Nicole Mitchell vowed to clean up the scum of Chinatown by herself as the superheroine Razor, named for the blades she wears on her arms, which evidently brings her into the eye of Roman Van Drake, the man who destroyed her family. In a twist of fate, it is revealed that not only is Nicole's sister, in fact, alive, but also she is Drake's favorite assassin, Stryke. In a play of power, Drake sends Stryke after Razor, who in the following battle comes to the conclusion that Razor is her sister. Angered at Drake's treachery, Stryke kills him, hoping to reconnect with her sister.

Following the dark match, the pay-per-view event began with a standard match for the WWE United States Championship, in which the champion, Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) defended his title against Matt Hardy. Throughout the match, both Hardy and MVP performed a number of offensive maneuvers on each other, but Hardy eventually gained the advantage when MVP charged Hardy and Hardy dodged him, followed by Hardy performing a Twist of Fate, on MVP. He followed this with a cover for a successful pinfall, giving Hardy the victory and the championship. The second bout was a standard match for the ECW Championship, in which the champion, Kane defended his title against Chavo Guerrero, who was accompanied by Bam Neely.

Veer and Jeet's mother Durga Khurana, calls Mr. Sareen (her sister's husband) to create problems for the Malhotra family. Mahi becomes a model and Sareen's son, Shabd falls in love with her, in order to save her family from Mr. Sareen, Mahi marries Shabd, then a bomb explodes at the Malhotras' house, killing Raji and most of her family. The only survivors are Soni and Mahi. After their maayka (parental home) is destroyed, the girls struggle for survival, Soni, through a twist of fate, marries her sister's former husband, Veer, when Shabd finds out that Mahi is not as successful as he had thought, he feels cheated and begins to hate his new wife, Shabd's uncle and aunt help repair his marriage to Mahi.

Within the jungle, an ancient Asuran city is discovered, revealing large quantities of information regarding the powers of the dragons, and vicious predators, with the Pact taking the point to break into the dragon's territory, and end the fight once and for all.

On coming out of prison, Badshah meets with his now grown daughter, Mehndi (also Sridevi), who has found out that her father is still alive and has come to India to look for her father; the daughter of Ranveer Singh, Heena (Shilpa Shirodkar), who is also in the police force and knows all about Badshah's past and respects him as her uncle; and the son of Inspector Aziz Mirza, Inspector Raja Mirza (Nagarjuna), who has found out that it was Badshah who had killed his father and is out for vengeance. In a twist of fate, Raja is in love with Mehndi, even though he wants to kill her father. Pasha, now a major crime lord, gets involved. Benazir and Khuda Baksh are kidnapped by him.

Hardy returned from injury on the July 29 episode of Impact Wrestling, making an announcement that his brother, Matt, would face TNA World Heavyweight Champion Ethan Carter III in a Full Metal Mayhem match, in which Matt was unsuccessful. After a brief hiatus, Hardy returned on the August 26 episode of Impact Wrestling, where he and Matt made an agreement that if Matt would lose his second match against Carter for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, then Jeff would become his personal assistant. Matt was unsuccessful, and Jeff was forced to be Carter's assistant. On the September 23 episode of Impact Wrestling, after refusing to hit Spud, then hitting Carter with a Twist of Fate, Hardy quit as Carter's personal assistant, therefore also (storyline) quitting TNA.

Aphrodite Aperyi returned to Athens late last year with her much older and ill husband and former teacher, Yerassimos Papadatos. The career driven heart surgeon immediately hit a wall with fellow heart surgeon, Ektoras Anagnostou and it was soon discovered the two were both former students of Yerassimos Papadatos back 10 years ago in London and Aphrodite had an unrequited attraction then for Ektoras. A twist of fate sees the two head to the city of Love, Paris for a medical conference where the topic of their past comes up and the two realise they are in love. Embarking on a torrid affair, both are riddled with guilt upon their return due to their respect for Aphrodite's husband and their former teacher, Yerassimos.

After singing "I am mad Tom, behold me" at the boys' request, he complained of feeling unwell, and was assisted to his room, where he died in the early morning.

Charles and Erik eventually discover Shaw plans to trigger World War III by convincing the Soviet Union to place nuclear missiles in Cuba, just before Shaw attacks Division X's secret facility and forces the team's dismantlement. The remaining mutants gather in Xavier's home estate planning to oppose Shaw's plans, and Xavier helps Erik find another way to channel his innate power. During the showdown with Shaw and his men in the Caribbean, Erik pulls Shaw's nuclear submarine from the water to the beach and confronts aboard it, removing Shaw's helmet so that Xavier can access his mind and stop Shaw. In a twist of fate, Erik instead puts on Shaw's helmet and reveals that he agrees with Shaw's exclusivist ideals for mutant-kind.

Later, Carlito and Kennedy flipped Benjamin off a ladder in the ring, sending him crashing through another ladder set-up between the barricade and the ring apron. When MVP was close to retrieving the contract briefcase, Matt Hardy (returning to action after suffering a legitimate injury), entered the ring from the crowd, climbed the ladder, and delivered a Twist of Fate to MVP off that ladder. As soon as Morrison started to climb a ladder, see-sawing with another ladder, Jericho flipped the other one and Morrison landed on the ring-ropes groin-first.

Andra Martin as a guest star on 77 Sunset Strip with Efrem Zimbalist Jr., 1960 Currently, only an engraving in the Sunset Boulevard sidewalk (address number 8524) between La Cienega Boulevard and Alta Loma Road commemorates 77 Sunset Strip, and the area is slated for redevelopment as part of "The Sunset Millennium" project. In a twist of fate, the opposition to the redevelopment of the area is known as "Save Our Strip" or "SOS" and is spearheaded by former 77 Sunset Strip semiregular Gigi Verone. No number 77 exists on the Strip, as all Sunset Boulevard addresses in the area have four digits. The show was referenced in an episode of Jay Ward's Fractured Flickers, showing a satirical depiction of Ward looking at a lineup of fictional shows, one of them being "77 Gaza Strip".

After moving to Querétaro, her aunt and uncle started her in music lessons, as all of her cousins studied music. Elis has been known to say that what she really wanted was to continue with her dancing in the hopes of becoming a professional dancer. She learned to play the Saxophone and music in general, but by a twist of fate some of her friends signed her up (unbeknownst to her) for a singing contest at school in Querétaro, where she ended up in second place. It was there she realized that she wanted a career as a singer. Elis then moved back to Guadalajara where, a year later, she started singing for the local band La Verdad No Importa, from where she was later fired because she "didn’t sing that good".

However, in a twist of fate, Gromeier was unable to find a physician with an HIV lab who would welcome him as a student. On the subject, Gromeier notes “The only lab that would take me was a tired, not very successful polio lab.” He earned his medical degree from the University of Hamburg in 1992, with the intentions of becoming a leading cancer researcher. After medical school, Gromeier completed a postdoctoral fellowship at New York’s Stony Brook University from 1993 to 1996, as well as a postdoctoral associate position from 1996 to 1999. There he worked in the lab of Eckard Wimmer, one of the world’s leading virologists and a polio specialist.

The series takes place in a successful law firm specialized in family law, dedicated to cases of separation and in general to family and relationship conflicts. Pablo Domínguez (Luciano D'Alessandro), a partner at the firm Cabal-Ortega-Domínguez and associates, is going through a difficult situation in his life when separating from his wife Jimena (Carolina Acevedo). Suddenly, the lawyer meets his colleague Julia Escallón (Laura Londoño), who is about to marry Camilo Borrero (Sebastián Martínez), but a twist of fate will change her life and bring her closer to Pablo. The show features the love triangle between Julia, Pablo, and Camilo, and the twists and turns in the love lives of the other lawyers in the firm, with their personal lives often mirrored in the legal cases they are defending.

When Pooja realises that Amar has always loved her, she begins to reciprocate his feelings. In a twist of fate, after a few years the police reveal that Vijay is very much alive, and after his recovery he goes back to the UK to reclaim Pooja. Pooja is overjoyed to see him, but when Vijay sees that Pooja is happily married to Amar, he misunderstands the situation and believes societal rumours about Amar - that he had planned Vijay's aviation accident so that he could marry Pooja. Vijay becomes so hostile towards Amar that he gangs up with Kailashnath (Paresh Rawal), an old enemy of Amar's father who had killed him, and sets out for revenge by setting fire to Amar's factories and kidnapping Pooja's son, not knowing that the boy is his own son.

As Slater tried to escape, all the veterans he had previously faced (Bob Backlund, Diamond Dallas Page, Doink the Clown, Rikishi, Road Warrior Animal, Roddy Piper, Sgt. Slaughter, Sycho Sid, and Vader) chased him back into the ring, where he was hit with a Twist of Fate from Lita, setting up a Clothesline From Hell from Bradshaw and a Litasault from Lita for the pinfall. The Brothers of Destruction deliver simultaneous Tombstone Piledrivers to Curt Hawkins and Hunico Kane was then scheduled to face Jinder Mahal in a match, but Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks, Hunico, Camacho, and Drew McIntyre came out and tried to attack him to vent out their anger at being overlooked by WWE. The Undertaker then made his first appearance since WrestleMania XXVIII and, alongside Kane, fended off Mahal and his cohorts, punctuated with double Chokeslams and Tombstones.

Physically and emotionally spent following this series, the Braves didn't put up much of a fight as they lost in four games to the other New York City team, the Yankees, making it the second time in 1999 that a New York City team had swept an Atlanta team out of a playoffs; the Knicks had swept the Hawks in the second round of the NBA Playoffs during their Cinderella run to the NBA Finals, where they lost to the San Antonio Spurs. (By a twist of fate, the Mets won a game in Atlanta on the same night the Spurs won the NBA championship against the Knicks.) Sebastian also provided musical staging and choreography for the new musical La Cava playing both the Victoria Palace Theatre and Piccadilly Theatre in London's West End.

Jacques Ehrmann was born in Mulhouse (Haut- Rhin, France) on March 31, 1931, the son of Paul Ehrmann and Henriette Weber. Born in the Alsace region by a twist of fate, as both the Ehrmann and Weber families were originally from Alsace but had left after the 1871 loss to Germany, it just happened that Mulhouse, then Strasbourg, were the first assignments of his father, an Engineering graduate from "École Polytechnique". The family, including his older brother Jean-Daniel (JD), came back to Paris in 1939 and he graduated from the Lycée Henri IV with a Baccalauréat in 1949, then studied at the Sorbonne where he obtained a Licence-des-Lettres in 1953. In the meantime, he received a Fulbright scholarship and spent an academic year from 1951 to 1952 at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, the "City of Colleges, Cows and Contentment", a logo he loved to quote. He was called to military service from 1953 to 1955 and served in the "Régiment de Tirailleurs Algériens", and later as a translator in Germany for the US headquarters.

On 22 August 2005, Unsworth was signed by Sheffield United on a three- year contract, on a free transfer after it became clear that Ipswich Town could not afford his wages. He was part of the team which were promoted to the Premier League as Championship runners-up at the end of the season. He missed a penalty for United in a 0–0 draw against Blackburn Rovers on 9 September 2006. Unsworth fell out of favour at Sheffield United under the management of Neil Warnock, and was placed on the transfer list in the January window. On 5 January 2007, Unsworth signed for Wigan Athletic from Sheffield United on a free transfer. He played his first match on 13 January against Chelsea. On the last day of the 2006–07 Premier League season, in a twist of fate, Unsworth would score the penalty that sent down his former club Sheffield United, whilst simultaneously saving his new employers Wigan Athletic from relegation. Unsworth was released by Wigan at the end of the 2006–07 season on 17 May 2007.

Fact and fiction are combined to tell the stories of two fictitious people who were involved in the catastrophe; Birger Lund, a Swedish journalist and passenger on the airship, who apparently suffered horrific injuries in a car accident after the crash; and Edmond Boysen, a member of the crew, who was manning the controls at the time, and seems to have got away unscathed. The book begins some years after the disaster has occurred, as Lund – now with a new identity due to a twist of fate – is searching for Boysen, who he hopes will provide him with some of the answers that might help him to come to terms with what happened, so that he can move on with his life. However, once the story has introduced Lund, it switches focus to Edmond Boysen, and much of the plot then unfolds against the backdrop of Nazi Germany, when the giant Zeppelin airships dominated the skies and their crew members enjoyed an almost celebrity-like lifestyle. Here the author spends a great deal of time describing the technical aspects of the airship, while its final journey and ultimate demise is told in intricate detail.
