How the sentence generator works
The generator combines entries from vocabulary lists using sentence templates in your browser.
It does not send a prompt to an AI model to create a sentence. Chaos Mode mixes unusual
combinations; Curated Mode uses a different selection of vocabulary and templates.
A surprising result can be a useful starting point, but the tool does not check the meaning,
grammar or suitability of every combination. Review and edit the text for your audience.
A five-minute writing warm-up
- Generate a sentence and choose one image or action that interests you.
- Give the scene a place, a character and something the character wants.
- Write three more sentences that make the unusual event feel possible.
- Read the paragraph aloud and change any wording that gets in the way.
A classroom sentence lab
Start with a short sentence such as “The moon borrowed a bicycle.” Ask learners to find the
subject and verb, add an adjective, then explain what might happen next. Answers to the
creative part can vary; grammar questions need a teacher's review.
For a lesson prepared around a topic and level, explore the
$14 classroom pack. You can keep using the free generator without buying a pack.
Sample text for developers
Use combinations to explore text wrapping, copy-and-paste behaviour or varied display lengths.
Supplement them with your own empty, long, multilingual and otherwise relevant test cases.
The output is not a benchmark dataset, and generating it does not establish test coverage.
Choose the approach that helps you
A template tool offers quick combinations with no prompt to write. An AI writing tool can also
produce surreal text and respond to more detailed instructions. Neither approach guarantees
better creative work; the useful part is what you select, revise and build from it.
