The Wilkinson power divider solves the matching problem of the simple T-junction: it has low VSWR at all ports and high isolation between output ports. The input and output impedances at each port are designed to be equal to the characteristic impedance of the microwave system. This is achieved by making the line impedance \scriptstyle \sqrt 2 of the system impedance – for a system the Wilkinson lines are approximately Dyer, p.480 Räisänen and Lehto, p.

Some T junctions are controlled by traffic lights, but others rely upon drivers to obey right-of-way rules, which vary from place to place. For example, in some jurisdictions, vehicles on the right always have the right-of-way (even at T junctions), while in other jurisdictions, vehicles travelling on the "through" road of a T junction have the right-of-way, meaning that vehicles approaching the "major" road must allow through traffic to pass before joining the flow of traffic. In the People's Republic of China, going straight on red when approaching a T junction on the main road with the intersecting road on the left was permitted until the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China took effect on 1 May 2004. In Taiwan (administered by the Republic of China), when at least two vehicles reach a T intersection without a working traffic light, the vehicle on the side road is to yield to any other vehicle straight on the main road.

Rather than using a single liquid phase, it is also possible to use two liquid phases in order to generate droplets. The most common method for generating droplets includes the flow of an aqueous stream perpendicular to an oil stream. When these two streams meet at a T-junction, uniform, aqueous droplets are formed that are surrounded by an oil phase. Depending upon the geometry of the microfluidic device as well as the flow rates used, droplets can also be formed using a flow focusing device.

Tubing is simply the means by which air power is transferred through the circuit. Tubing can connect to a switch, air tank, T-junction, cylinder, pump, distribution block, or flex-hose. Flex-hoses aren't actually considered pneumatic pieces; they were designed as part of the Technic system for a different purpose, but Lego fans have discovered that pneumatic tubing actually fits over flex hoses pretty well, so many people use them as tubing extenders whenever they are needed. Flex hoses are more rigid than tubing.
Looking along the M6 to the junction with the A601(M). The A601(M) is a motorway in Lancashire, England. It is long, and meets the M6 at Junction 35. The site of the tram road route at Mill Road in Irvine The tram road was divided into a section that ran from the Towerlands Colliery to the outskirts of Irvine and a short separate section that ran from sidings and a turn-round loop at the colliery to sidings at Dreghorn Station, running past the old Broomlands miners rows along the Station Brae Road without any 'breaks', suggesting that it was more of a standard railway than the tram road that ran to Irvine. The line joined the sidings at a right angle, indicating that a small turntable was used. The route towards Irvine ran through fields with two right-angle turns until it reached the road near Towerlands House, where it ran along the side of the road with a gap or 'break' opposite the lane that divided Towerlands estate from the old Bourtreehill estate and further along a break at the 'T' junction near Fencedyke on the road that leads to Irvine via Mill Lane. From Tzaneen, the R36 goes south-east for 85 kilometres to cross the Olifants River and reach a t-junction with the R527 Road. The R36 becomes the road to the south-south-west from this junction and continues for 51 kilometres to meet the north-eastern terminus of the R555 Road, cross the Ohrigstad River and enter the town of Ohrigstad.
The elevation is 285 m above sea level. It is situated at the "T" junction to Montferri on the main road C51 between El Vendrell and Valls and at 2.5 km from exit 11 of the motorway AP2 from Barcelona to Lleida. The name (which translated means "burnt village") was first cited in 1009 as Villa Ardidam because of the fires lit by the Bishops from Barcelona at that time. The small church, Saint Mary of Vilardida, was built in the 18th century, although many of the village's buildings date back to the 15th century.
The OS maps of 1898 shows on the eastern side or old 'Up line' a signal box and signals at the location with a rectangular building on the western side or old 'Down line'. From 3 October 1983 all 'Up lines' became 'Down Lines' and vice versa. Road access was a 'T' junction off the main road running past the school to the depot, secured by a gate. In 1856 no signal box or signals are shown although the building on the western side exists that was most likely the goods depot office.
The Governor's House is located along the famous Mall Road in Lahore, the capital and political center of Punjab province. The main entrance is on the T-junction of Mall Road and Sharah-e-Aiwan-e-Sanat-o-Tijarat. Although a separate walled complex, it sits adjacent to the Staff College on one side and Al-Hamra Arts Council on the other. The building sits near the Lahore Zoo, Mayo Gardens, Pearl-Continental Hotels & Resorts, Avari Hotels, Bagh-e-Jinnah, Aitchison College, Qurban Lines (Police) and the Children's Library Complex.
At the same time a small task force, A SQN The Household Cavalry Regiment would begin to secure the main road from Lashkargah around local police compounds at the main t-junction, which divides the main road North to Nad-e-Ali and South to Marjah. With 3 Troop tasked to move on a dirt track in a 12 man team in Scimitar's and 2 pick up's with a Tiger Team SF team, to prove a potential cross country route towards Marjah and probe the Taliban in the Bolan Desert in the weeks leading up to the Moshtarak.
Formally, they are known as Ridunians, from the Latin Riduna. The only parish of Alderney is the parish of St Anne, which covers the whole island. The main town, St Anne, historically known as La Ville ("The Town"), is often referred to as "St Anne's" by visitors and incomers, but rarely by locals (who, in normal conversation, still most frequently refer to the area centred on Victoria Street simply as "Town"). The town's "High Street", which formerly had a small handful of shops, is now almost entirely residential, forming a T-junction with Victoria Street at its highest point.
Sutton is located in the Regional Municipality of York, and is situated around a small river, the Black River, that flows from the south and East. Sutton is passed by a road linking Woodbine Avenue and the highway linking Toronto and Beaverton (Highway 48) forming a T junction to the southeast. The nearest superhighway is Highway 404 to the southwest which was extended to reach Keswick, Ontario in 2014 at Ravenshoe road and Woodbine Ave. Woodbine Avenue runs from Steeles Avenue at the Toronto-Markham border all the way to Lake drive in Georgina when the road curves and turns into Baseline Road.
The road then becomes a bit less ruler-straight, with some gentle curves. There are some houses on the west side, set back from the road with hedges shielding it, and a car dealership and a petrol station on the east side. There is a bridge under the disused Anglesey Central Railway which is narrow and requires inbound traffic to give way - and the road north of here is much more urban in character. The road shortly ends at a T-junction with the one-way B5109 in the town centre, where vehicles must turn left.
East Howe is approached from the ancient district of Kinson via East Howe Lane, which was known as 'Headless Cross Lane' in the 1920s on account of the T-shape formed by its junction with Wimborne Road.J. F. Parsons, A Companion Guide to North Bournemouth (Bournemouth: Bournemouth Local Studies Publications, 1981), p. 23. This T-junction was marked as 'Headless Cross' on Ordnance Survey maps between 1888 and 1969. Previously it had been known as 'Rigler's Cross' after William Rigler, a landowner at the time of the 1851 census, whose descendants still live in the Kinson and East Howe areas.
The road between Thurgarton and Southwell is relatively undulating and bendy. Entering Southwell from the south-west, passing the leisure centre, we then meet the B6386 at a T-junction where you need to turn off the A612 to stay on the numbered route. After passing the West gate to Southwell Minster, the road turns right at a mini roundabout by the Saracen's Head public house and passes the north side of the Minster. A further sharp bend to the left allows us to pass another racecourse, this time Southwell Racecourse, before exiting Southwell past the former workhouse which is now a museum.
Another takes Great Eastern Highway to Mitchell Avenue, the turnoff for Northam, and part of the highway's former route through the town. The highway takes an curve around the northern edge of Northam, meeting up with the eastern section of the former alignment, known as Yilgarn Avenue. This section of highway, also known as the Northam Bypass, intersects three other roads at grade separated interchanges: Northam–Toodyay Road, Irishtown Road, and Northam–Pithara Road. Each interchange consists of a flyover bridge for the highway, and a single two-way ramp that connects to each road at a T junction.
It depends on choices that are made by governments and other members of society. One road out of the T junction involves even lower growth, periodic recessions and financial instability; and it is a road that will fuel even greater political dysfunction, a worsening of what he calls the inequality trifecta (that of income, wealth and opportunity), and social tensions. The other road is one that unleashes the considerable productive capacity of the global economy, which is then turbocharged by the deployment of corporate cash sitting on the sidelines and exciting innovations. El-Erian then identifies the key drivers of each.
The trackbed remains remarkably intact, although some is now on private land. The most convenient place to start is near Coalville's Morrisons outlet (at ) where the trackbed into Whitwick has been made a public right of way. This footpath meanders along the edge of the Hermitage Lake (a former clay quarry), past the modern leisure centre and then under the South Street bridge before passing the Whitwick station building and platform (although unfortunately the platform is unkempt and overgrown). This footpath along the trackbed ends at a T-junction just after Whitwick station, while the line went straight on over another bridge.
Walworth Castle, the nucleus of the central village Walworth and Walworth Gate are said to be on the line of the Roman road, Dere Street. Walworth is located at the T-junction where Newton Lane meets Walworth Road and the disused Quarry Hole, north-west of Darlington and east of Denton. The village is triangular in plan, with Walworth Castle and Walworth Park at its centre. North Farm and the lost settlement of Walworth are at the north corner; Castle farm and Tomtit Wood are at the south-west corner, and Walworth Grange and a few houses are at the south-east corner.
The A537 starts in Knutsford at traffic light controlled T-junction with the A50; traffic has to turn onto the A537. The road travels to a set of traffic lights, the turn off for the B5085 to Mobberley and Alderley Edge. Now known as Chelford Road, it travels to the edge of the town, passing Toft Cricket club and leaving the town at a roundabout. The road then heads towards Ollerton and Chelford, crossing the Crewe to Manchester branch of the West Coast Main Line and shortly after, there is a roundabout junction with the A535.
Jerry took over as the driver earlier in the morning at a motel in Adairsville when it was time for a driver switch. Shortly before this, he and Jean checked out of their hotel at around 3 am and had placed an order from the local pizza parlor. About an hour later, they were in Atlanta, heading south on Interstate 75 in the high-occupancy vehicle lane. Jerry, apparently mistaken, drove left onto an exit ramp, which rose upward to a wide elevated road and a T-junction, marked by a stop sign, with Northside Drive (US 41).
Great Eastern Highway Bypass begins at a traffic light controlled T Junction with Great Eastern Highway in . Through traffic flows between Great Eastern Highway southwest of the intersection and the bypass to the east; access to the north-eastern section of Great Eastern Highway requires turning off the main route. The bypass proceeds around the northern edge of Perth Airport for before encountering Kalamunda Road at a traffic light controlled intersection. Great Eastern Highway Bypass continues east, past residential development to the north, and mostly undeveloped industrial land to the south, before crossing into the industrial suburb of .
The road then ascends into Codnor, passing the Thorn Tree InnThorn Tree Inn at Woodlinkin. At Codnor, the route turns right at a T-Junction with the A6007 near the French Horn and is relatively straight for around half a mile with the Kingfisher Fish Bar and a Tesco Express on the left, then descends and turns sharply left. There have been plans since the 1970s for a Codnor Bypass, followed by another section called the Ripley-Codnor Link. The road then ascends for a mile, into Ripley until it reaches a roundabout near the Sainsbury's supermarket, with the B6441.
Ocean Reef Road, now within the City of Joondalup, continues to border Woodvale to the south but now borders Edgewater to the north. The road intersects with Trappers Drive and Edgewater Drive (the former of which is signalised), encountering a traffic light controlled T-junction with Joondalup Drive from the City of Joondalup and Wanneroo boundaries. Only another later takes the road to the Mitchell Freeway at a standard diamond interchange. Following the freeway interchange, Ocean Reef Road is now bordering both Beldon and Heathridge, intersecting with local roads such as Eddystone Drive and Craigie Drive, bringing the road to Marmion Avenue after .
Originally, Bletchley was exclusively west of the railway line (which is why the station faces that way) and was centred on St. Mary's Church (Church of England), Bletchley Park, and the Freeman Memorial Methodist chapel on Buckingham Road. This area is now known as "Old Bletchley", Another settlement was situated between the crossroads of Shenley Road, Newton Road, and Buckingham Road, and the T-junction of Tattenhoe Lane and Buckingham Road. By 1926, this had become known as "Far Bletchley". However, as Bletchley developed, a new centre grew up around Bletchley Road (the road from Fenny Stratford to [Old] Bletchley).
The Fish Statue, officially referred to as The Fish, Epe, is a sculpture of two giant fish, erected at Lekki-Epe T-Junction in Epe, Lagos by the Lagos State Government. The sculpture is mounted on a large rectangular plinth with the word "EPE" on its side. Unveiled on November 8, 2017 by the then Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, the sculptor Hamza Attah cited cultural significance of Epe as a home of fishing activities and that the Monument portrayed contemporary Epe as the export point for fish in Lagos, noting that fishing is the main occupation of indigenes.
It is viewed as being a rival suburb to the neighbouring suburb of Kalamunda directly to the north. The main access to the suburb from the Swan Coastal Plain is via Welshpool Road East, that snakes its way up the side of the Darling Scarp from the suburb of Wattle Grove. Lesmurdie can also be accessed from Kalamunda, Walliston, Carmel and Bickley, primarily through Canning Road. The main road is Lesmurdie Road, which starts from the south as a T-junction with Welshpool Road and finishes at a roundabout intersection with Canning Road and Lesmurdie Road East.
The M43 begins its southern terminus in Bierman Road, Vosloorus at the interchange with the N3 freeway. The road continues north-east through Vredebos as Barry Marais Road and interchanges with the R103, the old road from Johannesburg to Durban. It continues north- east and flies over the M35 Heidelberg Road and passing the suburb of Villa Liza before it forms a t-junction with R21 at Rondebult Road, Dawn Park. It continues as Barry Marais Road before turning north and flies-over the R554 North Boundary Road, Van Dykpark and after a short distance crosses under the N17 freeway in the suburb.
The R39 has its beginnings in Baumann Street, Florapark, northern Standerton, at an intersection with the R50, R23 and R546 routes. It leaves the town in a north- easterly direction with the Grootdraai Dam to its east. Junctioning with the R38 that heads north to Bethal, it continues north-easterly crossing the Blesbokspruit before entering and leaving Morgenzon as Steyn Street bisecting the north-south R35 road in the town. Leaving the town, it continues north- east before Ermelo from the east ending as a T junction with the Bethal Road / Joubert Street on the N17.
At an intersection with Sheba Rd, it continues west, cosigned with the R38 as Pride of de Kaap Street. After crossing the Queen's River north west of Barberton, the R38 splits at a t-junction and heads south-west while the R40 now heads northwards and eventually skirts the eastern boundary of the Barberton Nature Reserve. It eventually enters the southern outskirts of Nelspruit as Madiba Drive. Madiba Drive continues northwards through Nelspruit crossing the east-west main street of Samora Machel Drive before crossing over the Crocodile River on the towns northern boundary leaving in a north-easterly direction.
It continues north, passing to the west of Garthdale, where it crosses the R550 Road and then the Klip River. Its next major interchange is with Klip River Drive outside Brackendown and Thokoza. It continues into Brackenhurst, a suburb of Alberton, where it crosses the R554 Road (Swartkoppies Road; which provides access to the Alberton CBD) and Michelle Avenue in Meyersdal. After a short distance, it meets the N12 Highway (Johannesburg Southern Bypass) at the Reading Interchange (Johannesburg Ring Road) and then proceeds to end at a T-junction with the M38 Road in Tulisa Park, Johannesburg South.
Another style of one-way sign, located in Chicago Signs are posted showing which direction the vehicles can move in: commonly an upward arrow, or on a T junction where the main road is one-way, an arrow to the left or right. At the end of the street through which vehicles may not enter, a prohibitory traffic sign "Do Not Enter", "Wrong Way", or "No Entry" sign is posted, e.g. with that text, or a round red sign with a white horizontal bar. Sometimes one portion of a street is one-way, another portion two-way.
Milbanck (sic) is recorded on Blaeu's maps of 1654 and 1662-5 although a mill is only suggested by the name itself. In 1796 the mill is depicted on a map by John Ainslie with the mill dam and mill pond located far up the glen at a 'T' junction of the lane that once ran to Auchenhane (sic) rather than the later location near the mill itself. The mill at that time is shown with two buildings above. The miller's dwelling may have doubled as a small farm as most millers had a second occupation in between the busy post- harvest times when the majority of milling took place.
Starting at an intersection with Barry Hertzog Avenue in Greenside, the route heads east as Greenhill Road to Parkview Golf Club. It then crosses the golf course and the Braamfontein Spruit as Wicklow Avenue. Crossing Emmarentia Avenue it continues south-east until it reaches a t-junction with Westcliff Drive and continues eastwards as the latter circling the Westcliff suburb and reaches the M27 road (Jan Smuts Avenue). The M16 route turns right into Jan Smuts Avenue and is cosigned briefly before turning left into Upper Park Drive, Forest Town where it follows the southern border of the Johannesburg Zoo and then becomes Erlsworld Way in Saxonwold.
Hockerton parish church The eastern terminus begins on the A46 Newark bypass, at the roundabout with the A616, on the former route of the Great North Road in the Newark and Sherwood district of Nottinghamshire, as a trunk road. It traverses the Trent Valley, crossing the River Trent at narrow bridge only really passable by light traffic; Kelham Bridge was built in 1857 when larger road vehicles never existed, and is mildly dangerous. The eastern terminus of the route was formerly in Kelham, where it met the former route of the A616 at a T-junction. It meets the Trent Valley Way, which it follows to Averham.
The eastern vestibule has subways leading directly to the rail platforms, whilst the western vestibule is situated under the T-junction of the highway and the Chongarsky Boulevard that comes off it. In 2019, as part of the reconstruction of the Kakhovskaya line and its future inclusion in the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line, work began on replacing the entire decoration of the station. Behind the station is a branch that leads to the Zamoskvoretskoye depot which serves both the Kakhovskaya and the Zamoskvoretskaya lines. Because of this, on occasion there is a direct service from Varshavskaya to all northbound stations on the Zamoskvoretskaya line and vice versa.
However, in one way the town has something in common with many other towns founded in the Middle Ages that is only noticeable at second glance: when laying out the town's streets, the mediaeval town planner deliberately made them crooked and deliberately staggered intersections of streets and alleyways. In particular, building crooked streets was a way of giving them some aesthetic appeal, as with the Untergasse. Crookedness limits the streetscape optically, and at the end of the street is a T-junction, with a view of houses opposite. In the Untergasse, this was the town's former brewhouse, standing on the corner of the Untergasse ("Lower Lane") and the Entengasse ("Duck Lane").
Occlestone Green is centred at , around the T-junction of School Lane/Chapel Lane with Forge Mill Lane (which runs south east to the neighbouring parish of Warmingham), with an elevation of 53 metres. The A530 Nantwich Road runs north–south around 0.5 km to the west of the junction. Hoggins Brook – a tributary of the River Wheelock – runs immediately south of the settlement, which is lined by a small area of woodland south of Forge Mill Lane (in Warmingham civil parish). Smithy Farm is on the junction and there are several nearby farms including Fields Farm, Manor Farm, New Farm and Occlestonegreen Farm.
The Bathurst-Ilford Road (MR 54) (which comes from Bathurst and skirts past Sofala) joins the Castlereagh Highway on the northern outskirts of town and the Bylong Valley Way to the upper Hunter Region via Kandos, Rylstone and Bylong joins the Castlereagh Highway north of town. Unremarkable in appearance, Ilford appears no more than a T Junction on the "Sydney Road." The primary school, on the left heading North toward Mudgee, and the information bay, are most of what is visible to travellers, on their way to Mudgee. The turnoff, just past the children's school, on the western side, leads to Sofala then onto Bathurst.
During the Paleozoic there were three major landmasses that collided, Laurentia, Baltica, and Avalonia closing the Iapetus ocean. The event created a mountain chain trending North to South in the northern portion and an East to West trend in the South. The reason being that there is a North to South trend in the North is because Laurentia coming from the West and Baltica coming from the east meeting at the center to create a compressional regime. Through time eventually Avalonia coming from the south closing the Iapetus ocean, collided with the two landmasses to create a T-junction giving an East to West trend in the southern portion.
About 5:38 am EST, while operating the motorcoach southbound in a left-hand HOV lane of I-75 in the Atlanta metropolitan area, the driver accidentally entered a left exit ramp, which ended abruptly at an elevated T-junction marked by a stop sign. When it reached the top of the ramp and the stop sign, the bus was traveling at highway speed. The driver lost control of the bus, which slid sideways into a concrete bridge wall and chain-link security fence, then fell 19 feet, landing on its left side across the interstate highway below. Twenty-nine passengers survived the crash, while seven occupants were killed.
Starting in the late 1920s Puerto Rico experienced the development and building of public general hospitals intended to serve the health and medical needs of multiple neighboring municipalities. The first such "Hospital de Distrito" (District Hospital) was inaugurated on 5 October 1929, in the Clausells neighborhood of barrio Segundo in Ponce to serve the health and medical needs of Ponce and 37 of its surrounding municipalities. It was located on Calle Victoria at the T junction with Calle Distrito (so named because of the new hospital). Hospital de Distrito de Ponce's first medical director was Dr. Osvaldo Goyco who shared his time with Dr. Rafael Lopez Nussa.
The College Point line, consisting of two tracks, began in Flushing at a T-junction on Broadway and Lawrence Street with the Flushing–Jamaica Line and the Corona Line traveling west along Broadway (Northern Boulevard). It ran north along Lawrence Street, the College Point Causeway, and 122nd Street (all part of the modern College Point Boulevard) to 14th Road (northbound) or 15th Avenue (southbound). It then ran west to 110th Street and 14th Avenue at the edge of the East River. The line served the College Point Ferry or 99th Street Ferry, which ran to East 99th Street in the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
The change only applied to right turns or going straight at a T-junction. In parts of Colorado, the stop-as-yield law is in place. In 2011, the cities of Dillon and Breckenridge, Colorado, passed stop-as-yield laws, in 2012 Summit County passed a similar law for its unincorporated areas, and in 2014, the City of Aspen passed one as well. Fort Collins considered the same law in 2013, but declined. In 2018, the state passed a law standardizing the language municipalities or counties could use to pass an Idaho Stop or Stop-as-yield ordinance and preventing it from applying to any state highway system.
The route diverges from the N15 (from Sligo) at Stranorlar. The route north through Kilross includes a T Junction with the R236 and then runs, via the townland of Drumnacross, over the Burn Dale (a burn or small river, also known as the Burn Deele) just outside the village of Drumkeen and on to the Dry Arch Bridge, located east of Letterkenny with a roundabout. The N56 runs along the Port Road to Letterkenny town centre. A section of dual carriageway runs east to bring the N13 (and traffic from the N14) to Corkey, where the N14 begins, and heads southeastwards linking Lifford from the roundabout with the N13.
In Bonaero Park, the M43 turns right while Atlas Road continues about 500m and junctions with the R21 freeway. After 400m the M43 turns left into Great North Road where it cosigns with M45 continuing north where it flies over the R21 freeway to enter Kempton Park. After a short distance the two roads split with the M43 heading right as Dann Road to pass through the Glen Marais Suburb of Kempton Park. At the Birchleigh AH suburb, the road turns left into Velt street and after 100m turns right and after 1 km, the M43's northern terminus is reached at a t-junction with M57 Pretoria Road, Birchleigh.
The R26 begins in the town of Rouxville, at a t-junction with the N6 National Route. It begins by going north-east for 30 kilometres to meet the western terminus of the R726 and bypass the town of Zastron. From Zastron, the R26 goes northwards for 65 kilometres, following the border with Lesotho, to the town of Wepener near the Van Rooyen's Gate border with Lesotho, where it meets the R702 Road. The R702 & R26 become one road for a few kilometres westwards. Just after crossing the Caledon River, at the junction with the R701 Road, the R702 remains on the road westwards while the R26 turns northwards.
Just after the Modimolle Correctional Centre, the R33 reaches a 4-way junction with the R101 Road (Thabo Mbeki Drive) and continues south-east for another 11 kilometres to meet the N1 Toll Highway (Northbound off-ramp only) just north of its Kranskop Toll Plaza. From the N1 junction, the R33 continues eastwards for 77 kilometres, meeting the R516 Route at a staggered junction, to reach a t-junction with the N11 National Route from Mokopane. They are cosigned as one road south-east for 16 kilometres into the town of Marble Hall, meeting the north-eastern terminus of the R573 Road from Pretoria.
From Ixopo, the R56 goes north for 81 kilometres, crossing the Umkomazi River, through Richmond, Hopewell and Thornville, to enter the city of Pietermaritzburg. West of Pietermaritzburg Airport, the R56 meets the R103 Road and they are co-signed northwards through the western area of the suburb of Scottsville. At a t-junction adjacent to the Msunduzi River, the R103 becomes the road westwards (Chief Albert Luthuli Street) while the R56 becomes the road eastwards. It goes through the northern part of the Scottsville Suburb as New England Road to reach its eastern terminus at an off-ramp junction with the N3 National Route.
The tram road is reminiscent of transport systems such as the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway where dedicated busways have gaps for roads to cross and also sections of normal road that may lead on to other sections of guided busway. The Towerlands tram road had several places where short 'gaps' existed which presumably had no rails or plates, a gap at a 'T' junction, and near Irvine the route even crossed from one side of the road to the other without any physical connection of the 'permanent way'. If the coal was transported in waggons or trams with no flanges, then such gaps would not be a real problem, just an inconvenience.
Its north-western terminus is a junction with the N6 National Route and M30 Metropolitan Route in Bloemfontein, Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality, just south of the Mangaung Suburb. It goes eastwards to reach a t-junction, where it meets the southern terminus of Bloemfontein's M12 Metropolitan Route and turns south-east. It leaves the city heading south-east and goes for 56 kilometres to the town of Dewetsdorp, where it meets the eastern terminus of the R717. From the R717 junction, it continues south-east for 32 kilometres to meet the R26 and the north-eastern terminus of the R701 at a four-way- junction.
The second phase, from Bell Station to Route 156, was constructed from 1990 to 1992, with an interchange built at Casa de Fruta. In 2008, a T-junction and stop sign at the intersection with Route 156 on the remaining two-lane section of the highway west of Casa de Fruta was replaced with a flyover, greatly easing congestion there.. A segment of Route 152 west of Gilroy, between the Uvas Creek Bridge and Santa Teresa Blvd, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. This segment of the road, serving as a western gateway into Gilroy, is lined with deodar cedar trees that were planted on consecutive Arbor Days in 1930 and 1931.
The main landmark on the left hand side is Maltby Main Colliery, for which there is an entrance on the left, opposite Maltby Wood. It crosses a railway and Scotch Spring Lane (the Doncaster-Rotherham boundary), for Stainton, is on the left, the point where the road becomes the Doncaster-Rotherham boundary for one mile, just before being crossed by a 400 kV pylon line, the point where it also enters the Doncaster postcode. The Market Cross, a buttercross built in 1777, looking north along the A60, in the middle of the A631 T-junction in Tickhill in 2007 Limekiln Lane is on the left, and the landscape is now mostly rural from here to Bawtry.

However, the N4 designation has not yet been removed from the Magalies Freeway itself (N4 may still be labelled on signage on the highway & M4 may show on signs off the highway). Also, some maps may still label the entire old route through Pretoria's central and western suburbs as the N4 together with the newer route.
Route 10 begins at a diamond interchange with Interstate 95 (I-95) as Ella T. Grasso Boulevard in The Hill neighborhood, in the city of New Haven, New Haven County. Ella T. Grasso Boulevard continues west as a four-lane undivided, municipally-maintained street to a T junction with Kimberly Avenue, just west of the I-95 interchange and east of the West River. Brockley Hill station was to be located on a viaduct to the north of the existing junction of Edgware Way and Spur Road. The T-junction was to be reconstructed as a roundabout to incorporate a forecourt for access to a curving range of shops and a continuation of Spur Road heading to the north-east to a new housing development. The station was designed by the LPTB's architectural department in conjunction with the estates department of All Souls College. The station platforms were to be on the viaduct and on a bridge over Spur Road and were to be long enough for nine-car trains being planned for the new Northern line service.
The R103 briefly changes direction at a t-junction in Roodekop, south of Wadeville, Germiston, where it becomes part of the Nederveen Highway and is cosigned with the R554 westwards towards Alberton Central. At the N3 Highway crossing, the R554/R103 Nederveen Highway changes its name to Heidelberg Road. At the Swartkoppies Road junction, the R554 becomes the road to the left (south) and the R103 remains on the westerly road, bending north towards the Alberton Central Business District and Johannesburg. From here, it is co- signed with the M31 Road of Johannesburg and becomes Ring Road West to pass through the western side of the Alberton CBD (New Redruth) before becoming Voortrekker Street.
There are several minor junctions on the western section of the JVLR. There are 5 major at-grade and grade-separated junctions or junction sets on the middle section, including the end junctions i.e. Saki Vihar Road junction and LBS Marg junction, the details of which are given below: The Saki Vihar Road junction, also known as the L&T; junction, is the first junction on Section 2 and is a staggered one connecting Section 1 with Section 2 via the Saki Vihar road. The JVLR from the Section 1 side (or Jogeshwari side) and from Vikhroli side join the Saki Vihar Road in a staggered manner as the L&T; land intercepts the JVLR for 100 m length of initial portion of Section 2.
Serule is a village in Central District of Botswana. Serule, with a latitude of -21.95 (21° 56' 60 S) and a longitude of 27.3 (27° 18' 0 E), is a streets, highways, roads, or railroad (railroad siding). The village is located along the road between Francistown and Palapye, and is an important railroad junction with rails leading towards north to Francistown, south to Palapye and east to the mining town of Selebi-Phikwe, 72 km from Palapye north up the A1 road, 88 km from Francistown down south the A1 road and 60 km west of Selibe Phikwe to the T-junction. The location is situated 340 kilometers east (90°) of the approximate center of Botswana and 332 kilometers north east (26°) of the capital Gaborone.
The road has a sharp 90° turn to the southwest and an almost immediate 90° turn south east at Walburn Hall on the edge of Wathgill Army Camp. After this there is a short run to the junction with the Catterick road where the A6108 turns onto the unclassified road at a 90° angle south westwards at a T-Junction. The road now follows the route of the Richmond to Lancaster Turnpike, which is why it turns onto and off this road via T-junctions. After a mile (1.6 km) there is a sharp 90° turn off the road to the south where the A6108 continues through Bellerby and dropping down into Leyburn where it meets the road from Reeth and then the A684.
Beadell had spent some time near Mt Leisler looking for a tree which had been blazed by the explorer William Tietkens in May 1889, and when he discovered its position, made the road pass nearby, marking the location with his trademark signpost. By 4 July the road had passed the northern end of Kintore Range to the present position of a T-junction with the future east-west Gary Junction Road, and continued north for another . Up until then, the road was simply known as the north road, and on 7 July work was halted while Beadell was recalled to Adelaide. During his trip to rejoin the crew he was smitten with a severe eye ailment known as Sandy blight (Trachoma).
It passes through Hampole and crosses the Leeds and Wakefield section of the ECML. There is a right turn for Skelbrooke near Little John's Well near the area known as Barnsdale. It enters the borough of Wakefield and crosses a former railway line. In North Elmsall parish there is a new roundabout for an industrial estate, and a roundabout for the new A6021, which leads to the Barnsdale Bar A1/A639 Roman Ridge junction. Previous to the building of this road, the A638 went through North Elmsall with a roundabout closer to Upton. There is a new roundabout with Minsthorpe Lane (B6474) further south, and the A638 now follows part of the former B6474, with a new T-junction for the B6474 near Upton.
Gibbs Brook forms part of the boundary with Oxted and was called the Gippes River, and flows into the River Eden, Kent which discharges into the River Medway near Edenbridge. Most development is in two linear settlements: small detached houses at Ardenrun Shaw, a small wood to the north – only one of these is architecturally listed;Ardenrun Cottage St Georges Cottages and its continuation which is narrowly west of the border (in Godstone) Crowhurst Lane End which is mostly semi-detached properties within of Godstone railway station in the modern settlement of South Godstone along a straight and parallel foot/cyclepath to the railway line. The first neighbourhood has a hall, whereas the second has a public house by a T-junction facing the path.
It is now a linear village, with most houses along the north side of the A67, but is also a doubly nucleated village as it has a village green and church on the south side of the road, and a history of a community focus at the T-junction of Ulnaby Lane and the A67, where the Methodist church and post office once were, and where a public house remains. It has always been a small village, but its history goes back to Anglo-Saxon times, and the earliest part of St Oswald's church is Norman. The Duke of Wellington pub is notable for having had a portrait of Napoleon, Wellington's defeated enemy, on its sign from 1975 to 1988.
After Joondalup Drive, development starts to become more sparse, and transitions from a suburban to rural landscape. Wanneroo Road travels through predominantly bushland in Neerabup (and along some residential development in Carramar) before reaching a traffic light controlled intersection with Flynn Drive and Neerabup Road 3.5 km (2.2 mi) later. The road continues to travel through Neerabup for 3.1 km (1.9 mi) before reaching a traffic light controlled T-junction with Hester Avenue, which is the northernmost signalised intersection on Wanneroo Road, as well as the northernmost link to both the Mitchell Freeway and fellow arterial road Marmion Avenue. Within that stretch, alongside the road are portions of the original, narrow road that are now access roads for businesses and properties along the route.
Now within the suburb of Nowergup, the road reduces a two- lane single carriageway 2.6 km (1.6 mi) north of that intersection, which continues as such until Trian Road in Carabooda, where a four-lane single carriageway reappears and continues as such for 3 km (1.9 mi) until Bernard Road South, reducing to a single carriageway once again. After about 4 km (2.5 mi), Wanneroo Road terminates at a T-junction with Yanchep Beach Road, with the road (and State Route 60) continuing northwards as Indian Ocean Drive to coastal localities beyond the northern limit of the Perth metropolitan area (namely in the Wheatbelt region), such as Lancelin, Cervantes, and Jurien Bay. Indian Ocean Drive would eventually reach Brand Highway as the main route northwards to Geraldton.
El-Erian argues that, forced to take on massive policy responsibilities with inevitably partial tools, central banks only managed to put a band-aid on the consequences of the Great Recession, and that a continued period of low-growth and financial repression is not sustainable for much longer. The global economy and markets are on what he calls a "T junction". The current path being our pursued – or what he labeled back in 2009 as the "new normal" – will likely end within the next three years; and to illustrate this, the book identifies the mounting tensions and inherent contradictions that are becoming more visible at the domestic, regional and global levels. But what comes thereafter is not as yet pre-destined.
This section of Windsor Road was part of the original Windsor Road, which opened in 1794.Old Windsor Road and Windsor Road Heritage Precincts, Roads and Transport Authority, Published on 16 November 2010, Retrieved on 16 July 2013 The rest of the original Windsor Road is now known as Old Windsor Road, which goes parallel to the new Windsor Road from to . When the new Windsor Road opened in 1812, the original Windsor Road is aligned such that this section and the new section is continuous, leaving the southern original section renamed to Old Windsor Road and forms a T-junction with Windsor Road. This remained until 2002 when the Old Windsor Road regained importance and the junction was remade to the original Windsor Road alignment.
After passing the Cresta Shopping Centre on its right, it intersects and passes under the N1 Western Bypass a few kilometres later. Continuing north-west through Randpark Ridge it crosses over the M6 (Ysterhout Drive) and after 4km it intersects with Christian De Wet Road and Northumberland Avenue together part of the R564. Passing through Honeydew, the suburb thins as it becomes a set of agricultural holdings but continues north- west as Beyers Naudé Drive and intersects the R114 at a staggered junction near Muldersdrift and shortly thereafter the N14 Pretoria-Krugersdorp freeway. Passing over the freeway it continues north-east now through more agricultural holdings before ending at its northern terminus as a t-junction with the western R540 Road after crossing the Crocodile River.
The original settlement of Altenglan stretched along the higher parts of the left banks of both the Glan and the Kuselbach, along today's Glanstraße from the graveyard with the old church to the T-junction formed by today's Bahnhofstraße. This can clearly be seen in a stock book compiled in the mid-18th century. Other settlements on Bahnhofstraße had also already arisen by the 18th century. The last house before the bridge was the one that is now the rectory, and across the bridge (known as the Pfarrbrücke – “Parochial Bridge” – or the Schmiedebrücke – “Smithy Bridge”) stood a smith's workshop. Likewise already standing by the 18th century were houses in the area of today's Ringstraße, which the stock book describes as a gemeiner Weg – “common way”.
It enters the suburb of Scottsville in Pietermaritzburg from the south-east where at a T-junction it co-signs with the R56 and heads north through the suburb. The R56 breaks of to the east and the R103 leaves Scottsville crossing the Msunduzi River and heading north-west into the Pietermaritzburg CBD as its main road. Leaving the CBD, it continues into the suburb of Athlone. The road resumes following the N3 in a north-westerly direction passing through Hilton before reaching the outskirts of Howick. Crossing under the N3, it enters the suburbs of Howick and circles the town as an easterly ring road before reaching the N3 Junction 103 in the north close to the Midmar Dam.
Next, the R28 crosses the N1 Kroonvaal Toll Route between Johannesburg and Kroonstad and enters Evaton, Emfuleni Local Municipality (south of Orange Farm). Right after the off-ramp, it intersects with the R553 from Johannesburg at a t-junction and joins it going southwards as the Golden Highway, passing through western Sebokeng, for 9 kilometres up to the 4-way junction with the R54 road. At the junction with the R54 road from Potchefstroom, the R28 stops co-signing with the R553 southwards and begins co-signing with the R54 eastwards towards Vereeniging, bypassing Vanderbijlpark. After 6 km, the R54 becomes its own road eastwards (Houtkop Road, bypassing Vereeniging Central), leaving the R28 as the south-easterly road to Vereeniging central (Boy Louw street).
Then, each crack spreads in two opposite directions along a line through the initiation point, with the slope of the line chosen uniformly at random. The cracks continue spreading at uniform speed until they reach another crack, at which point they stop, forming a T-junction. The result is a tessellation of the plane by irregular convex polygons. A variant of the model that has also been studied restricts the orientations of the cracks to be axis-parallel, resulting in a random tessellation of the plane by rectangles... write that, in comparison to alternative models in which cracks may cross each other or in which cracks are formed one at a time rather than simultaneously, "most mudcrack patterns in nature topologically resemble" the Gilbert model.
The decision was taken to seize Kreipe during one of his frequent trips from his residence to the divisional H.Q. in Ano Archanes, some away. Upon surveying the route, they discovered a T-junction where the road from Archanes joined the main road to Heraklion, forcing cars to slow down to almost a standstill, the location was subsequently named Point A. Pavlos Zografistos, the owner of a small vineyard cottage outside Skalani (el), some twenty minutes from the abduction point, agreed to collaborate, turning the building into an observation point. Owing to the heavy traffic on the main road, the operation had to be undertaken during nighttime. The abduction team Mikis supplied the team with two Feldgendarmerie Corporal summer uniforms, complete with campaign badges, side arms and a traffic policeman's stick.
Turning north-west in the Sandton CBD, it will leave the area crossing the M40 Grayston Drive into Benmore Gardens and Sandown where it then turns north-east into Morningside. Crossing Kelvin Drive into Rivonia, the M9 Rivonia Road now kinks north-west then north as it passes through Edenburg, the suburbs main commercial area. Crossing 12th Avenue, the route enters Woodmead and soon intersects and crosses under the N1 Western Bypass at the Rivonia Road Interchange and the R564 Witkoppen Road continuing north into Paulshof and Sunninghill. After a short distance it becomes Leeukop Road and at the entrance to Leeukop Prison, the road turns north-east as Malindi Road and after 2.4km in Barbeque Downs the road intersects and ends as a t-junction with the R55 Woodmead Drive.
Because the T-junctions at Warwick Road and Marangaroo Drive are located within a close distance of each other, Wanneroo Road also carries State Route 81 between those two roads. A similar situation exists with Gnangara Road and Whitfords Avenue, except the short stretch between the two intersections carries State Route 83. After Whitfords Avenue, the road is exclusively within the City of Wanneroo, travelling along the industrial suburb of Wangara to the east and Woodvale to the west for around 2 km (1.2 mi), where there is evidence of new residential developments. Within Wangara a traffic light controlled T-junction with Prindiville Drive is encountered, before reaching Ocean Reef Road, which is a grade-separated interchange with Wanneroo Road free-flowing over traffic light junctions at Ocean Reef Road.
Shipley Bridge forms the western border settlement of the village - there is a public house here along Antlands Lane East which is its narrow main street between both sides of the small community, straddling the M23 motorway which has a neat parabolic arch bypass for the main through road that west of here divides in a T-junction towards Horley/motorway access to the north and Pound Hill, Crawley to the south. A second residential road is on the Burstow side of the Horley parish border, Green Lane, which leads up to Mushroom farm and the confluence already mentioned. Sanger's Circus had winter quarters for its animals at Burstow Lodge (at the northern end of Chapel Road) from the early 1900s until around 1940. It has been recorded that the elephants were used for ploughing land in the area.
The decision was made by Mid Glamorgan County Council in the early 1990s to dual the section of A4119 between Ynysmaerdy and Mwyndy. This would be the last major road project undertaken by Mid Glamorgan before its abolishment in 1996. The Talbot Green to Ynysmaerdy dual carriageway The completed "Talbot Green to Ynysmaerdy Dual Carriageway" officially opened on 28 July 1995. The scheme replaced the old Roundabout near Llantrisant with a four way traffic-lit junction, and completely replaced the original Ely Valley Road at Talbot Green apart from the first portion: a t-junction from the centre Talbot Green's high street that leads to a row of houses and a Golf Club, this is the only remaining section Ely Valley Road that is un-altered, still bearing the original road surface and signage, although it is now a Cul-de-sac.
Westonzoyland village is a little further to the west, near where the Battle of Sedgemoor was fought in 1685.UK Battlefields Resource Centre, Battle of Sedgemoor, accessed 27 January 2009 The drain passes close to the village, and then turns to follow a more northerly course, with bridges carrying minor roads at Parchey, with Chedzoy slightly further west, and at Bawdrip, which is to the north-east of the Drain. At Crandon Bridge the A39 road crosses the Drain to a 'T'-junction with the old course of the A39 to Glastonbury and the newer A39 spur to the M5 motorway. Passing to the south of Puriton, it turns first west and then south- west as it passes under the M5 motorway, the Bristol and Exeter Railway, and the A38 road in quick succession, to reach the River Parrett at Dunball clyse.
Lugduff () at , is the 154th–highest peak in Ireland on the Arderin scale, and the 186th–highest peak on the Vandeleur-Lynam scale.Mountainviews, (September 2013), "A Guide to Ireland's Mountain Summits: The Vandeleur-Lynams & the Arderins", Collins Books, Cork, Lugduff is situated in the southern sector of the Wicklow Mountains range, and forms a broad horseshoe around the Upper Lake of the Glendalough valley with the mountains of Mullacor , Conavalla , the hydroelectric station at Turlough Hill , and Camaderry . Lugduff's steep western slopes, have a distinctive "corrugated" profile, and form the deep valley sidewall of the eastern flank of Glenmalure; Lugduff's western walls also sit at the T-junction of the Fraughan Rock Glen hanging valley with the Glenmalure valley. Just below Lugduff's summit, lies the popular 8-kilometre boarded mountain path of The Spinc White Trail around the Upper Lake of Glendalough.
Figure 10. Simple T-junction power division in planar format The earliest transmission line power dividers were simple T-junctions. These suffer from very poor isolation between the output ports – a large part of the power reflected back from port 2 finds its way into port 3. It can be shown that it is not theoretically possible to simultaneously match all three ports of a passive, lossless three-port and poor isolation is unavoidable. It is, however, possible with four-ports and this is the fundamental reason why four-port devices are used to implement three-port power dividers: four-port devices can be designed so that power arriving at port 2 is split between port 1 and port 4 (which is terminated with a matching load) and none (in the ideal case) goes to port 3.
An experiment was done in Illinois, United States to allow going straight on red (like a right turn on red) when approaching a T junction on the main road, with the intersecting road on the left. It was a failure. However, at some T junctions where the main road includes at least two lanes on the side away from the intersecting road, the farthest (rightmost, in areas where traffic drives to the right) lane is given the right of way to proceed straight through the intersection at all times, denoted by a "green arrow" signal if a traffic light is installed at the intersection. In such cases, often that lane is also specially delimited with pavement markings or other lane separation devices, to keep left-turning traffic on the intersecting road from colliding with traffic proceeding through the intersection on the main road.
The R63 heads eastwards for another 21 kilometres to the town of Cookhouse, where it meets the N10 National Route and crosses the Great Fish River. The R63 & N10 are one road north-east for 24 kilometres before the R63 becomes its own road eastwards. The R63 heads eastwards for 43 kilometres, through Bedford, to the town of Adelaide, where it crosses the Koonap River and meets the R344 Road. They are one road south-east for almost 4 kilometres before the R344 becomes its own road southwards. From Adelaide, the R63 heads east-south-east for 31 kilometres to enter Fort Beaufort and meet the R67 Road west of the town centre. They are one road for 650 metres up to a t-junction, where the R67 turns north and the R63 turns south to cross the Kat River.
It starts at a t-junction with the M1 Road of Tshwane in the suburb of Roseville (5km north of Pretoria CBD), heading westwards & meeting the R55 Road. It passes through the Theo Martins Gateway (Afrikaans:Theo Martins Poort), a mountain pass over the Magaliesberg mountains, and the northbound carriageway has a rising hairpin bend, approaching the pass, as the freeway abruptly switches an from east-west to a south-north direction. Just north of the R513 road off-ramp, an interchange has been constructed that links the road with the N4 Route (Northern Pretoria Bypass), which is named the Platinum Highway. The highway proceeds northwards to meet the R566 road at an off-ramp just east of Rosslyn and ends at a junction with the M39 Road of Tshwane in Soshanguve, with the M39 providing access to Mabopane in the north-west.
Outside the South African National Museum of Military History turns right into East World Way. It continues eastwards crossing over Oxford Road and becomes Riviera Road in Killarney before reaches the M1 North motorway interchange. Crossing the M1 motorway it reaches a t-junction with M31 West Street in Houghton Estate where it turns south cosigned briefly before turning left and head east as 1st Avenue in Houghton passing close to Houghton Golf Course before intersecting the M11 Louis Botha Avenue. Turning left, now cosigned with the M11 Louis Botha Avenue it heads northwards into Orange Grove. Passing 8th Street (M16 one-way west) where the route leaves Louis Botha Avenue turning east into 10th Street (one-way east) before turning right in 9th Avenue and left into Club Street where it continues eastward close to Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club and then turns northwards past Huddle Park in Linksfield.
Tsing Yi Fire Station Tsing Yi Fire Station (Chinese: 青衣消防局) is the first fire station on the Tsing Yi Island, New Territories, Hong Kong. Located at the T-junction of Tsing Yi Heung Sze Wui Road and Cheung Wan Street on east side of the island, the station was once the sole station to cater the need for the rapid increase of population since late 1970s and the oil storage and heavy industries in the south and west. To relieve the burden of the station, a new station, Tsing Yi South Fire Station, was established in the southwest at Tsing Yi Road near Nam Wan, handling fire for industries and increasing number of oil depot. The fire station is located between Tsing Yi Police Station, Chung Mei Road Temporary Playground, a telephone exchange of PCCW and under a Tin Hau Temple.
Looking west at the interchange between NY 49 and NY 291 in Marcy At the first interchange east of the directional T junction, the expressway meets NY 233 as NY 69 exits to follow Rome–Oriskany Road to Utica. NY 49 and NY 365 continue on, turning northward to pass over the Mohawk River, the CSX Transportation Rome yard, and the Erie Canal in quick succession near the eastern edge of downtown Rome. Shortly over passing over the canal, NY 365 exits the expressway as well, leaving only NY 49 on the roadway. As the expressway curves back to the east, it crosses a railroad spur leading to the former Griffiss Air Force Base at-grade, a rare occurrence on limited-access highways. Route 49 then meets NY 825, the vehicular southern entrance to the ex-base, by way of an interchange before leaving the Rome limits.
An experiment was done in Illinois, United States to allow going straight on red (following rules analogous to those used for turns on red) when approaching a T junction on the main road, with the intersecting road on the left.
The M12 Road is the road that connects Chipata with Lundazi and Chama. Together with the Great East Road (T4) to Lusaka, it is the main route connecting Chama and Lundazi with the rest of the country. It starts at a junction with the T4 (Great East Road) just north-west of Chipata City Centre and goes northwards for 7 kilometres to reach a t-junction with the D104 (Chipata-Mfuwe Road), which goes north-west to the settlement of Mfuwe and its International Airport south of the South Luangwa National Park and the Luangwa River. At this junction, the M12 makes a right turn and goes northwards for 173 kilometres, following the Malawi borderline, through the Chipangali and Lumezi Districts, to reach its northern terminus in the vicinity of the town of Lundazi, where it ends at another junction with the D104 Road coming from the South Luangwa National Park and the Luambe National Park in the west.
The N17 begins in the southern suburbs of Johannesburg, north of Rosettenville, at a t-junction with Wemmer Pan Road (Johannesburg's M11 Road), heading eastwards. It continues eastwards for ten kilometres (with two westbound-only off-ramps at the M19 and M31 Roads), passing under the N12 Highway (Johannesburg Ring Road), to form an interchange with the N3 Highway just south of Rand Airport. As part of the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project, there are now two slip roads; one linking the N17 West to the N12 West and one linking the N12 East to the N17 East (previously only possible via the N3 freeway). Just after the N3 interchange is the Gosforth Toll Plaza (the first N17 toll plaza). From the N3 Interchange, the N17 goes eastwards through the City of Ekurhuleni for thirty kilometres, bypassing Germiston, Boksburg, Benoni and Brakpan, to Springs, where there are off-ramp junctions with Tonk Meter Road (M63 Road) and Nigel-Springs Road (R51 road).
Asser's Life of King Alfred as translated by S. Keynes and M. Lapidge in Alfred the Great, Penguin Books 2004, p234 Over the years the name became 'Chayne Hill' and then finally the 'y' became an 'i' and the 'e' was dropped, and so the current name, Chain Hill, came into common use. In the mid-19th century, Chain Hill was bought by Mr Edward Ormond; The Deeds of Chain Hill House, Wantage, Andrew and Tamsin Burford the solicitor and benefactor of Wantage Memorial Park. Prior to being named Ormond Road, the road at the foot of Chain Hill was known as Pidgeon Lane and prior to that, the Icknield Way, L. Garnish, Alfred's Palace, reproduced from the Blowing Stone, 2000, by the Vale and Downland Museum one of the oldest roads in Britain. On the T-junction of Chain Hill and what was the Icknield Way, there is a Norman arch leading through the wall to the historic site thought to be used for the meeting of the Witan circa 995.
The mansion is eclectic, but mainly reflects Chinese architectural styles of the Imperial Period. Features of the house include Gothic louvred windows, Chinese cut and paste porcelain work, Stoke- on-Trent floor tiles made of encaustic clay in geometric pieces all shaped to fit to a perfect square, Glasgow cast iron works by MacFarlane's & Co. and Art Nouveau stained glass windows. The mansion was originally built with careful attention to the principles of Feng Shui. The domestic annexe is built in front of it to prevent any road being built to create a T-junction in front of it; it has water running through a meandering network of pipes that begin from the eaves of the roof, channelled through the upper ceiling, down the walls collecting in the central courtyard before being channelled away from the property via a similar network of pipes, in this case, underneath the entire flooring system and is built with a step in the middle to create a slope (to ride on the dragon's back).
The word kwarhi, is a margi Hildi dialect which means a pathway, it was first coined by ARNA GADDO at the same time was the first settler in hiragana Mubi, ARNA GADDO came from Hildi as a result of misunderstanding he had with his tribal people at Hildi his hometown, when he came to Mararaba Mubi, there was no sign of settlement at all then he settled and became the first settler and the founder of Mararaba Mubi. The early settlers in Mararaba Mubi are people from Hildi village which is just about 8 km away indeed Mararaba is just a name of the T junction as the real name of the settlement is Kwarhi Among first settlers are Ulea Nrvi,Jauro Abba,Ahamadu Liyarya and some fulani and kilba people who include, jauro Ahmadu from Maki and Ahmadu kila from Mubbula, Mubbula about few kilo meters away from Hong Town. Mubbula is one of several small Kilba villages in Hong local government area. It was reported to have been ruled by Tul Hulma .
As the assault drew near, US and coalition forces began to encircle the city in order to screen those entering and exiting, gather intelligence, and deceive the enemy as to the avenue of approach for the well publicized assault. 1st Battalion, 6th Marines moved command to Fire Base Fiddlers Green, home of 3rd Battalion, 10th Marines just southeast of Marjah, the 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines built temporary Camp Belleau Wood just northwest of the city, and Bravo Company, 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion and Alpha Company, 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion filled the desert to the west. At the same time a small task force, A SQN The Household Cavalry Regiment (HCR) would begin to secure the main road from Lashkargah around local police compounds at the main t-junction, which divides the main road North to Nad-e-Ali and South to Marjah. With 3 Troop tasked to move in a 12 man team in 4 Scimitar's and 2 pick up's with a Tiger Team SF team, to prove a potential off road route towards Marjah from the East and probe the Taliban in the Bolan Desert in the weeks leading up to the Moshtarak.
Construction began in September 1968, although preliminary work had been ongoing since 1966; the interchange opened to traffic on November 14, 1969. The Semi-directional T junction with the QEW was built over and required the construction of 19 bridges and the equivalent of of two-lane roadway, with the two sets of flyovers (defaulting express lane traffic to the QEW and vice versa) soaring over the collector lanes to Browns Line (plus their connecting ramps to The Queensway and Evans Avenue). The junction with Highway 401 remains the largest interchange in Canada as it sprawls over and required the construction of 28 bridges and the equivalent of of two-lane roadway, being built around the existing Richview Memorial Cemetery, and including connections to Eglinton Avenue (ultimately meant for the proposed but never- built municipal Richview Expressway). The interchange with the QEW was opened to traffic on November 14, 1969, while the Highway 401 junction required several more years of construction staging, fully opening on December 4, 1971 (though portions were opened in the weeks prior to that), just prior to Highway 27's renumbering as Highway 427\.
Reviewing how they have ended up as the only game in town policy-wise, El- Erian argues that, by necessity rather than choice, central banks have ended carrying too many responsibilities for policy decisions in recent years, and that politicians need to, and must, play a more active role in shaping policy. Providing details, El-Erian suggests fixing the Great Recession for good will entail a four-pronged approach: fostering economic growth through structural reforms; encouraging greater balance in aggregate demand, including more inclusive access to consumption; implementing debt reduction in areas where crippling debt overhangs are destroying potential; and spearheading global coordination of economic policy.. Some policy measures include "revamping the education system, strengthening infrastructure, improving labour competitiveness and flexibility, while simultaneously closing tax loopholes and increasing marginal tax rates on the wealthy in order to reduce inequality." Given the "unusual uncertainty" associated with the T junction, the book also discusses the challenges facing sound decision making by governments, households and companies. Using the insights of behavioral science, he points to the most common mistakes that are made in such circumstances, and provides guidance on what can be done to address blind spots, unconscious biases and other inherent challenges.

After its intersection with the R360 (which provides a shorter and faster route south into Upington Central), the N10 continues eastwards up to the Upington Airport entrance (a t-junction), where it turns south and enters the Upington City Centre to meet the R360 again. At the Short Street junction, the N10 meets the N14 and they are concurrent on Short Street south-eastwards. At the junction with Scott Street, the N14 turns eastwards while the N10 turns southwards to cross the Orange River. From Upington, the N10 follows the Orange River for 114 km eastwards, through Grootdrink (where it turns to the south-east), to the town of Groblershoop, where it meets the western end of the N8 National Route from Kimberley. From the N8 junction, the N10 continues following the Orange River south-east for 133 km, through Marydale, to the town of Prieska.
