As he is finishing his tale, a Vindar slavedriver appears, blasts C-3PO's head off, and kills Otalp. After the Vindar leave the cave, Remoh finds a lightsaber in the remains of C-3PO's body and in so doing, finds hope for his people's freedom.

Caterer wrote his first song around 11 years old. During junior high he formed his first band, Slavedriver. His early musical influences included Fugazi, The Smiths, Elvis Costello, Mel Tormé, and Frank Sinatra. As a senior in high school, Caterer formed Speedstick along with his brothers Eli and Matt.

In the temple the kru and the priests are flabbergasted when they recognize him and even more astounded when he challenges the kru to ensure better treatment for the slaves. After leaving Scorv he sees a slavedriver disperse his army with a single word and he believes that his work is done.

The MS-DOS version of PowerSlave features many differences from the console versions. The MS-DOS version was built on the Build engine, licensed from 3D Realms. The version used is a slightly earlier version of the engine, made sometime before the version used in Duke Nukem 3D. The light sourcing from the SlaveDriver engine is not used; the Build engine's own light sourcing is used instead; the game also uses "fake" dynamic lighting where sectors light up as projectiles or "glowing" objects in general pass through.

Antonia and Manuel's middle-aged secretary, Margot Alvarez, also joins Antonia's company, meaning to escape Manuel's slavedriver work methods, meanwhile dealing with singlehandedly supporting her teenage children, Cesar David and Jenny. Margot's husband Armando, a taxi driver, feels that his love for her has died and leaves her for a younger woman, despite their precarious economical situation. Antonia tells her hairdresser that she is hiring for her new company, and there she meets Barbara Mantilla (Valerie Dominguez). Barbara is desperate to find a job to gain economic independence and thus escape her abusive husband, Jesus, and her mother-in-law, Matilde.

The first version of the game to be released was on the Sega Saturn, shortly followed by a release on the PlayStation, with tweaked gameplay, added architecture, some different levels, and other changes. Both of these versions are based on Lobotomy Software's SlaveDriver engine and feature a true 3D world, similar to Quake. The same engine was used to power the Sega Saturn versions of Duke Nukem 3D and Quake. Because the levels designed for the Saturn version were not well- suited to the PlayStation technology, Lobotomy redesigned them to take better advantage of the specific hardware.

Initially GT Interactive was to publish this version itself, but it later cancelled the release and the Saturn rights were picked up by Sega. Sega then took the project away from the original development team, who had been encountering difficulties getting the port to run at a decent frame rate, and assigned it to Lobotomy Software. The Sega Saturn port used Lobotomy Software's own 3D game engine, SlaveDriver (the same game engine that powered the Sega Saturn versions of PowerSlave and Duke Nukem 3D), instead of the original Quake engine. It is the only version of Quake that is rated "T" for Teen instead of "M" for Mature.
