After the Little Falls and Dakota Railroad was completed in 1882, there was a sidetrack to a mill at the site which later became Flensburg Village. Favela Rising is a 2005 documentary film by American directors Jeff Zimbalist and Matt Mochary. It was produced by Sidetrack Films and VOY Pictures. It debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 24, 2005 where it won the award for Best New Documentary Filmmaker for Zimbalist and Mochary. The film's look at life in Brazil's slums won it further awards such as Best Documentary Film from the New York Latino Film Festival and Best Feature Documentary from Big Sky Documentary Film Festival.Imdb.

Sidetrack Bar and Grill is a restaurant on the east end of Depot Town in Ypsilanti, Michigan, at 56 East Cross Street. It is just down the road from Eastern Michigan University and is a popular hangout for students and faculty. Linda French, who has owned the restaurant since 1980, named it after “its unique location alongside the main railroad line from Detroit to Chicago.” The location has served as a restaurant, under different names, as far back as 1850.

Manon's most influential tutor was the celebrated Zora Semberova. Among many other companies, Manon has worked in five stage productions with the Sydney Theatre Company as well as with the Bell Shakespeare Company, Belvoir and the Australian Nouveau Theatre (ANTHILL). During a two years residency with Sidetrack Theatre, touring extensively, he performed in six plays, having co-devised five of them. Beautiful Losers is a 2008 documentary filmed by director Aaron Rose and co- directed by Joshua Leonard. The spring concerts are often full-scale theatrical productions, frequently presented in a parodic manner. Past spring productions have included The Pirates of Penzance, The Wizard of Oz, The Mikado, and H.M.S. Pinafore. In 2006, the Chorus performed The Ten Commandments: The Musical, an original musical co- written by the group's Artistic Director, Patrick Sinozich, and a singing member, Bill Larkin. The Chorus has also performed several musical reviews named after Sidetrack, a popular Chicago video nightclub, and based on the club's weekly show tunes video nights.

Godsbanen, including old and new structures Godsbanen is a cultural centre in central Aarhus, Denmark since 2012. The site and most of the buildings are a former goods station, known as "Aarhus Godsbanegård" (Aarhus Goods Station), which was in use from 1923 to 2000. It is located at the end of a broad sidetrack to the central railway yard of Aarhus. In December 2010, Realdania announced that the area would be gradually transformed into a modern city district, through a collaborative project with Aarhus Municipality.

In early October 1917, Fejes was transferred to a dedicated fighter unit, Flik 51J at Ghirano, Prata di Pordenone, as part of a migration of Flik 19's aces to fighter duty. Once there, he was promoted to Feldwebel in February 1918. At his new unit, he switched mounts to an Albatros D.III fighter plane and continued his victory streak. A slight wound in the heel suffered during a prolonged dogfight within view of his home airfield on 20 March 1918 did not sidetrack him; he landed victorious, with 46 bullet holes in his plane.

The Frontier Adventures station is the "Tension" station, its bullwheel is linked to a 14-ton counterweight underneath the station. The counterweight keeps the cable tight and prevents the cable from falling all the way down should it slip off one of the towers. This station has a single sidetrack for storing cars during breakdowns, but is not normally used for storing cars. The Frontier Adventures station is not wheelchair accessible, so guests who use wheelchairs may board at the Fantasy Forest station, leave their wheelchair in the station, and take a round trip (which is not otherwise allowed).

In 1995 an application by RMC Aggregates to extend the quarrying further east was denied as parliament tightened up on environmental problems caused by old mineral permissions granted between 1948 and 1981.
