Argia's brother Prince Feraspe arrives in Salamis, partly to look for her and partly to seek the hand of the beautiful Dorisbe. Argia also arrives in the city disguised as a young man called Laurindo. Both Dorisbe and Filaura (King Atamante's courtesan) fall in love with "him". In the end, all is resolved.

The epic recounts King Rother's adventurous quest to the Middle East for a bride. The King on the advice of his nobles is concerned about the royal succession. He acts on their advice to seek the hand of the beautiful daughter of King Constantine of Constantinople. The problem with this however, is that all previous suitors lost their lives in the process.

Atteridge. It included the first George Gershwin songs introduced in a Broadway show. It opened in the Winter Garden Theater on June 22, 1916 and played for 140 performances, closing on October 21, 1916. It was directed by Jacob J. Shubert and J. C. Huffman and choreographed by Allan K. Foster.

Realizing his error, Beauford opens the trunk, and finds not a dead Marwood but a living Gratiana -- but then the officers arrive to arrest him for Marwood's death. Brought before a Justice Landby (the uncle of the Captain who befriended Gratiana), Marwood is revealed to be still alive, and Millicent turns out to be the missing Lucibel. The play's subplot involves the suitors who seek the hand of Jane, the daughter of Justice Landby. One, Lodam, is fat and gluttonous; a second, Rawbone, is a usurer and miser; and the third, Haver, is a young gentleman of worth but no fortune.

Both sides seek the Hand of Omega, a Time Lord device the Doctor left on Earth during his first visit to 1963. Smith is a secret associate of Ratcliffe, the leader of a group of fascists, reporting to a Renegade battle computer, which also uses a schoolgirl as its eyes and ears. The Doctor has the Hand buried in a local cemetery as a ruse, but it is soon unearthed by Ratcliffe, tipped off by Smith. Imperial Daleks arrive to seize it from the Renegades, but the Doctor and Ace defeat them and destroy their transmat.

Al-Istrabadi was born in Virginia, in the United States of America, into a distinguished Iraqi family that had fled Iraq in the aftermath of the 1958 coup. That coup had removed the monarchy and imperiled those families that were intimately connected with it, including the al-Istrabadis. Feisal's grandfather, al-Hajj Mahmoud al- Istrabadi, had been one of the drafters of Iraq's first constitution in 1925. His aunt, Lam'an Amin Zaki, had been in the delegation of women that went to Istanbul to seek the hand of the future wife of King Feisal II, who was later killed in the coup.
