The Groot River (English: "Large River") is a river in the Western Cape Province, South Africa. It is part of the Olifants/Doring River system. It is not to be confused with the Groot River of Eastern Cape or the Groot River of Southern Cape provinces.

The Seneca River and the Tugaloo River join to form the Savannah River. The boundary between the Seneca River and the Keowee River has changed over time. In the Revolutionary War period, the upper part of the Seneca River was often called the Keowee River. In current times, the section of the Keowee River between the Keowee Dam and its confluence with Twelvemile Creek is called the Seneca River on many maps, including the official county highway map.
The Petrie Creek and Keily Creek also flow into the Besa River, which then turns east, then north again after receiving the Neves Creek. Granger Creek also flows in the Besa River west of Klingzut Mountain. Shortly after, Besa River flows into the Prophet River as a right tributary, at an elevation of . Its waters are carried via the Prophet River, Muskwa River, Fort Nelson River, Liard River and Mackenzie River, ultimately into the Arctic Ocean.
The Wolf River (Tlingit: Ghùch Hîni) is a river in Yukon, Canada. It is in the Bering Sea drainage basin and is a left tributary of the Nisutlin River. The river begins at an Wolf Lake, flows west and takes in its right tributary the Red River, then turns southwest and heads to its mouth at the Nisutlin River. The Nisutlin River empties via Teslin Lake, the Teslin River and the Yukon River to the Bering Sea.

Pearl River The You River (), also known as the Youjiang River, is a river of Guangxi, China. It rises in eastern Yunnan and joins the Zuo River ("Left River") near Nanning to form the Yong River. These rivers form part of the Pearl River system, which flows into the South China Sea near Guangzhou. The river lends it name to the language Youjiang Zhuang, the area Youjiang District and to a university Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities.
To the east, between Whiteface, Passaconaway, and Mt. Wonalancet, lies The Bowl natural area, an unlogged cirque. Mt. Whiteface lies within the watershed of the Saco River, which reaches the Gulf of Maine at Saco, Maine. The south side of Whiteface is drained by the Whiteface River, thence into the Cold River, Bearcamp River, Ossipee River, and the Saco River. The east side is drained by the Wonalancet River, thence into Swift River, and Bearcamp River.
Grains, particularly barley, potatoes and turnips are grown to some extent, but the most important crop is hay for livestock. Major rivers in Norrbotten County (north–south) include the Torne, the Lule River, Kalix River, and Pite River. Rivers shared with Västerbotten County include the Skellefte River and Ume River. Other rivers that flow directly to the sea and that are at least 100 km long are the Sangis River, Råne River, Åby River, and Byske River.

Like the Saint John River, the Bay of Fundy tides causes another upstream phenomenon, known as a tidal bore. The construction of a causeway on the river at Moncton, approximately 50 kilometres upstream, has lessened the tidal bore's effect and changed the river's ecosystem. Other rivers that empty into the Bay of Fundy include the St. Croix River, Digdeguash River, Magaguadavic River, Lepreau River, Musquash River, and Big Salmon River. After the confluence with the Lumpungu River, the Malagarasi enters Tanzania, makes a circle and empties into the eastern side of Lake Tanganyika about south of Kigoma, near Ilagala. It is one of the lake's primary inflows. Moyowosi River is the principal tributary, along with its affluent the Nikongo River; other tributaries include Ugalla River, Gombe River, Ruchugi River, Lumpungu River, and Nguya River. Two major river systems drain and define the two parts of the Central Valley. The Sacramento River, along with its tributaries the Feather River and American River, flows southwards through the Sacramento Valley for about . In the San Joaquin Valley, the San Joaquin River flows roughly northwest for , picking up tributaries such as the Merced River, Tuolumne River, Stanislaus River and Mokelumne River. The Central Valley watershed encompasses over a third of California at , with 46 percent draining into the Sacramento River, 26 percent into the San Joaquin, and 27 percent into Tulare Lake.
Lake Superior basin Lake Superior is fed by more than 200 rivers, including the Nipigon River, the St. Louis River, the Pigeon River, the Pic River, the White River, the Michipicoten River, the Bois Brule River and the Kaministiquia River. Lake Superior drains into Lake Huron via the St. Marys River. There are rapids at the river's upper (Lake Superior) end, where the river bed has a relatively steep gradient. The Soo Locks enable ships to bypass the rapids and to overcome the height difference between Lakes Superior and Huron.

Source of the River Sett The River Sett is a river that flows through the High Peak borough of Derbyshire, in north western England. It rises near Edale Cross on Kinder Scout and flows through the villages of Hayfield and Birch Vale to join the River Goyt at New Mills. The River Goyt is one of the principal tributaries of the River Mersey. In the past, the river was known as the River Kinder; the modern River Kinder is a right tributary of the Sett, joining the river at Bowden Bridge above Hayfield.

Chulitna River originates from the confluence of Middle and East Fork Chulitna River in the valley between the Alaska Range and Talkeetna Mountains east of the Denali, flows in a southerly direction and flows at Talkeetna, opposite the Talkeetna River, in the Susitna River, which flows into the Cook Inlet. Larger tributaries include West Fork Chulitna River, Ohio Creek, Fountain River, Hidden River, Coffee River and Tokositna River, all from the right. The catchment area of the Chulitna River covers about 6600 km2. The mean discharge near the mouth is 250 m³ / s.

Bow River is a long tributary of the Ord River in the Kimberley region of northern Western Australia. The river was named by pastoralist Michael Durack in 1882 after the Bow River in his family's ancestral home of County Clare, Ireland. The river flows into the Ord River at Lake Argyle. There are 12 tributaries of the Bow River including Wilson River, Turkey Creek, Limestone Creek and Spring Creek.
In the old days, Pahang River and Muar River were nearly connected at a place called Jempol, in Negeri Sembilan. This was because the Serting River flows into the Bera River, a tributary of the Pahang River. Jempol River flows into Muar River. Trading boats from River Muar could continue their journey until they reach Kuala Pahang in Pekan, or Kuala Lipis to continue into Terengganu, Kelantan or Perak.

Several rivers and streams, besides the Mississippi and Tennessee, exist in West Tennessee. In the 1840s, there were two River Valley roads that ran on either side of the Singapore River. The Singapore River was seen as a valley between Fort Canning Hill, to the north side of the river, and Pearl's Hill, to the south side of the river. Willoughby Lake is part of the Saint-François River watershed, its waters eventually reaching the St. Lawrence River in Canada. Willoughby River is the outlet from the lake and runs north through Brownington to feed into the Barton River. The Barton River is tributary to Lake Memphremagog and thence to the Magog River, then the Saint-François River, then the St. Lawrence River, and ultimately to the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Prior to the floods of 1927, the river had three dams.
