That same year on 18 June 1999, AFC Ajax NV acquired 51% shares of Ashanti Gold S.C., a West-African football club from Ghana, with Ashanti Goldfields Corporation retained 49% proprietorship of the club. In 2000, AFC Ajax NV acquired 72,5% of the shares of Belgian club Germinal Beerschot with whom Ajax had formed a partnership a year earlier.

A sole proprietorship from its founding until 1974, when the first steps towards incorporation were taken. Kosifler Group is today one of Turkey's most recognized corporations. John Stephenson died in 1864, the year after he handed control to his son Henry. In 1905 the firm purchased Sir Charles Reed and Sons Ltd. It was then known as Stephenson, Blake & Co., and Sir Charles Reed and Sons between 1905-1914. In 1914, without any change in proprietorship, the business was converted into a private limited liability company.

This forced the museum to be relocated. In 1888, no suitable location could be found in Canada so it was relocated to Niagara Falls, New York. The Davis family established an Art Gallery in the museum in 1891. During the early years of their proprietorship, five more Egyptian mummies were purchased, along with the entire collection from the celebrated Wood's Museum of Chicago.

John Penn (14 July 1729 – 9 February 1795) was the last governor of colonial Pennsylvania, serving in that office from 1763 to 1771 and from 1773 to 1776. Educated in Britain and Switzerland, he was also one of the Penn family proprietors of the Province of Pennsylvania from 1771 until 1776, holding a one-fourth share, when the creation of the independent Commonwealth of Pennsylvania during the American Revolution removed the Penn family from power. Held in exile in New Jersey after the British occupation of Philadelphia, Penn and his wife returned to the city in July 1778, following the British evacuation. By 1880 a hotel and post office had been erected, followed by a school in 1883, and a town hall in 1884. At the prompting of mayor W. Thredgold, a newspaper, the Petersburg Times was founded in 1887 by Robert M. Osborne, became The Times and Northern Advertiser in 1919, under the longterm proprietorship of W. H. Bennett and survived as a family business until 1970.

Booth and Flinn (1876--1950) was one of the largest American general contracting companies of its era. It was established and headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. The company was founded by William Flinn (1851--1924) as a sole proprietorship in 1876 and merged with a similar venture in 1881 directed by James J. Booth. The business later operated under the name of Booth and Flinn, Ltd.

Established in 1903, Walberg and Auge started as a drum manufacturing company and a musical instrument repair shop in Worcester Massachusetts. Originally named Taylor & Auge, Bernard Eric "Barney" Walberg bought a half-interest in the company which until then was a sole proprietorship of A.L. Auge. After Walberg joined Auge on Oct. 3, 1903, they began the manufacture of drums and other musical instruments.

His visit, with his daughter Fanny, to America during 1832 and 1834, aroused much enthusiasm. The later part of his career was beset by money troubles in connection with his joint proprietorship of Covent Garden theatre. He formally retired from the stage in December 1836, but his final appearance was on 10 April 1840. From 1836-1840 he held the office of Examiner of Plays.

Aiful was established in April 1967 by Yoshitaka Fukuda as a sole-proprietorship. In 1978, this small company was reformed in Kyoto as Marutaka, Inc. and opened its first four branches to expand its consumer-finance business. The company continued to grow over the next five years and it acquired three small companies in the same business segment and renamed itself Aiful in 1983.

The precursor to Odournet, Project Research Amsterdam, was founded in 1980 by Anton Philip "Ton" van Harreveld. The sole proprietorship sought to more efficiently characterize and abate odors in environmental settings. The first computerized olfactometer was developed by VanHarreveld's then unipersonal company Project Research Amsterdam. This company was incorporated as a limited, Project Research Amsterdam BV in 1989, adding environmental consultant Frans Vossen as co-founder.

Later the manor came into the possession of Thomas Penn, a son of William Penn who founded Pennsylvania and was its first proprietor. Thomas Penn held three-fourths of the proprietorship. The manor property remained in his family for at least two generations, as his son John Penn "of Stoke" also lived there. Thomas Gray's 1750 poem "A Long Story" describes the house and its occupants.

Boat Torque, a Western Australian company, operated Superflyte from 1994 until 1997, sailing from Glenelg to Kingscote. Kangaroo Island Ferries had a short-lived venture with SeaWay, which travelled from Wirrina Cove to Kingscote from September 2004 until February 2005. SeaWay could not handle rough weather as well as SeaLink vessels which impacted the service's reliability. Under different proprietorship, SeaWay recommenced services in August 2007.

The CPLA advocated utilization and stewardship of lands by communes as opposed to private proprietorship and the direct democracy through village assemblies and council of elders. It also promoted the bodong system as a "supra-tribal expression" of the "spirit of social cooperation". They also proposed the conversion of the country into a federal republic as an alternative with each state having co-equal status.

In 1889 Rajendra Nath Mookerjee KCIE, of Bengal, became a partner, and shared with Martin's sons, Ernest and Harold, and Mr. C. W. Walsh the proprietorship of the firm. Martin's health was badly affected by the local climate, and he spent much of his later life in Europe. He died at Binstead House, Isle of Wight, on 29 April 1906, and was buried in Ryde Cemetery.

In 1991 the firm became independent of government control. In 1998 it was transformed into a proprietorship under the control of the state treasury, under the name Przedsiębiorstwo "Polmos" Białystok Spółka Akcyjna (Manufacturer "Polmos" Stock Company of Białystok). Currently the firm produces more than 30 million liters of liquor annually. The best known of the company's brands is Żubrówka, or the Bison Grass Vodka.

The company was founded as a sole proprietorship in 1928 and reorganized as a stock company in December 1945. It began as a limousine operator and expanded to taxi service in 1940. NK operates the most popular taxi hailing mobile application in Japan, Japan Taxi. Toyota invested 500 million yen in the app in 2017, followed by a second 7.5 billion investment in 2018.

The architect was Samuel Hannaford, who had become famous a decade earlier as the designer of the grand Cincinnati Music Hall near downtown. In 1886, Hannaford was ending a period of sole proprietorship; just one year after the College Hill Town Hall was built, he began a partnership with two of his sons.Gordon, Stephen C., and Elisabeth H. The town was held under the proprietorship of the Sommievre family until the French Revolution. At the center of the town once stood the ancient church of Saint- Remi, among the most remarkable Romanesque buildings in the Aube. The church was destroyed in 1855, and the current church was consecrated in 1865. Of particular note are the church's stained glass windows and organ, given by the Heriot family.

At one time Reed's had been the larger of the two firms but it had difficulties in financing a modernisation programme as typography changed, and its once valuable equipment became out of date.

Happy Computers was formed in 1982 by Richard Adams under the name Happy Computing. At that time, the 810 Happy was hand wired on the internal side board. The name was changed to Happy Computers in 1983 when the company went from a sole proprietorship to a corporation. It stopped shipping these products in 1990, and since then many other Atari enthusiasts have reverse engineered and replicated the products.

Tattersall was married to Catharine, a granddaughter of James, twelfth Baron Somerville; they had one son Edmund (1758–1810), who succeeded him in the business and proprietorship of "the Corner", and extended the business to France. Edmund's son Richard ("Old Dick", 1785–1859) and his son Richard ("Young Mr Richard", 1812–1870)) later headed the business. In the mid-1920s, Walter Dorwin Teague (1883 to 1960) was one of a group of individuals interested in pioneering the design of products for manufacturers as a distinct occupation. An independent business is a business that is free from outside control. It usually means a privately owned establishment, as opposed to a public limited company, the latter of which is owned by investment shares traded in the stock market. In many cases, independent businesses are sole proprietorship companies. Morses Line is an unincorporated community (village) in Franklin County, Vermont, United States. Morses Line is located on the International Boundary between Canada and the United States northwest of Franklin. It is the site of the Morses Line Border Crossing connecting the towns of Franklin and Saint- Armand, Quebec. The second J. Morse line store was opened at this location in 1871, under the proprietorship of J.M. Hill, Jr. The hamlet is named after the store around which it grew.

Emmanuel Henri Georges Cruse purchased the Château d'Issan winery in 1945. There was much work to be done, including replanting the vineyards and re- equipping the dilapidated cellars, work which was duly undertaken; it was some time before the château received its long-overdue restoration. During the offseason, Walker took a position as a mail clerk, but returned to baseball in 1885, playing in the Western League for 18 games. Bavarian Brewing Company was a brewery established in Covington, Kentucky, in 1866 by Julius Deglow, but became known as the Bavarian Brewery around 1870. The brewery was originally located on Pike Street, but expanded to 12th Street within a decade. After John Meyer acquired the brewery in 1881, he sold an interest to William Riedlin in 1882. Albert Edward Burns Alexander Sr. (21 Sep 1867 - 14 Oct 1953) was a figure in early 20th century English football who held a number of roles at Manchester City. Born in Hulme, Alexander was one of four sons involved in the coach proprietorship business. He lived in Ardwick from 1871 to at least the 1920s, having married a storekeeper's daughter, Evelyn Bridge, in St Matthew's there in June 1891. Alexander's connections with Manchester City go back to at least 1904.

In business, the executive officers are the top officers of a corporation, the chief executive officer (CEO) being the best-known type. Bertie was the third son of James Bertie, 1st Earl of Abingdon and his wife Eleanora Lee, the daughter and heiress of Sir Henry Lee, 3rd Baronet, of Quarrendon, Buckinghamshire. The school was founded on joint stock principles and there were originally 100 shares priced at £20 each; proprietorship of a share entitled its owner to send or nominate a boy to the school. From 1831 when it opened it was successful particularly under Reverend Edward Selwyn, an alumnus of Trinity College, Cambridge. He was head from 1849 to 1864 and remarkably in his last three years when there were more than 200 boys in the school, every boy in the upper sixth won an open scholarship to Oxford or Cambridge. After almost ten years as a nomadic theater company using various spaces around Cleveland, Dobama established a permanent home on Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights in 1968. Lehni AG is a furniture manufacturing company based in Dübendorf, Switzerland, specializing in the production of anodized and powdercoated aluminium furniture. Lehni was founded in 1928 by Rudolf Lehni, Sr., initially specializing in architectural and industrial metalworking. The company began producing furniture in 1963, under the proprietorship of the founder's son, Rudolf Lehni, Jr. The company is known for fabricating both artwork and furniture designed by the artist Donald Judd. Currently, Lehni manufactures furniture designed by Willy Boesiger, Andreas Christen, Frédéric Dedelley, Georg Gisel, Thai Hua, Donald Judd, Rudolf Lehni, Antonio Monaci, Jacques Schader, and Hanspeter Weidmann.

Edward and his brother Thomas both retired in 1853, handing the firm over to their sons and to Richard Williams, changing the firm name to Faile, Williams, & Co. Lord Baltimore had always managed his proprietorship from England, where he worked to keep political support for the colony, as well as to prove his loyalty (as a Catholic) to the new government of Protestants. The Kenilworth was closed and its furnishings liquidated in November 1892 but was back open within a month under the proprietorship L.N. Kinnaman. In 1897 the hotel was purchased by Denver realtor Henry Harding for his sister-in-law to run. Several years later, on the admission of a new partner, the sole proprietorship of Leavitt's bank necessitated a change of name to Leavitt & Lusch. Subsequently, on the addition of another partner, the bank became known as Leavitt, Johnson & Lusch. On the retirement of partner A. T. By 1842 George A. Leavitt, having graduated from Andover's Phillips Academy and worked for a time for the booksellers Robinson & Franklin, joined his father's publishing house. On his father Jonathan's death a decade later in 1851, Leavitt took over the firm and operated for year as a sole proprietorship, when he took on as partner his Andover classmate John K. Allen. The firm renamed itself Leavitt & Allen and eventually settled at 379 Broadway in Lower Manhattan. In 1856, Leavitt took the suggestion of his father-in-law James E. While the Church had its property confiscated and sold at public auction, the nobility, in the words of Cruz Villalon, "incrementó su patrimonio territorial en nuestra ciudad" ("Increased its territorial proprietorship in our city"). At the same time, a group of large tenant farmers and nobles bought expropriated properties, creating a class of owners who made up "the agrarian bourgeoisie". Capell was born in Northampton and educated at Bedford Modern School. He then studied the cello in London and Lille, before becoming a journalist. Grand Union Hotel Postcard c.1920 Park and hotel Frank Hathorn purchased the Grand Union Hotel in 1912 to save the hotel for Saratoga Springs, but Hathorn died one year later. His daughter, Florence Hathorn, ran the Grand Union for many years; she sought to modernize the hotel during her proprietorship. She managed to refurnish and redecorate the lobby in green and white colors. She also sought to bring conventions to the hotel as Woolley had done before her, and was successful in bringing the Spanish War Veterans, Grand Lodge of Knights of Pythias, New York State Food Merchants Association, and the New York State CIO in 1944.

The term Tanah Melayu in its name which literally means "Malay homeland", assumes proprietorship of the Malay states. In this way Britain strengthened Malay ethno-nationalism, Malay ethnicity and culture and Malay sovereignty in the new nation-state. Though other cultures would continue to flourish, the identity of the emerging political community was to be shaped by the "historic" political culture of its dominant Malay ethnic group. The Chinese and Indian immigrants who form a significant minority in Malaysia, are considered beholden to the Malays for granting them citizenship in return for special privileges as set out in Article 153 of the Constitution of Malaysia.

Cobbett's reports were printed by Thomas Curson Hansard from 1809; in 1812, Cobbett's finances ran asunder and he divested himself of his proprietorship of both the Parliamentary Debates and Parliamentary History, which then "passed into the hands of Hansard in 1812". Cobbett's Parliamentary Debates became Hansard Parliamentary Debates, "abbreviated over time to the now familiar Hansard". Harrison was a member of Geelong's first town council in 1850 and represented Geelong in the Victorian Legislative Council from November 1854 until its abolition in March 1856. Harrison then represented Geelong 1858–59 and Geelong West 1859–60 in the Victorian Legislative Assembly. As an editor he was an early advocate for tariff protection which later he brought to prominence when he was editor of The Age under the proprietorship of David Syme. But his rise ceased abruptly in 1854 after a controversial libel suit was brought against him by the Crown Prosecutor George Mackay whose evident drunkenness on duty Harrison had editorially deplored.

In 1996, the Federal Military Government of Nigeria created 6 additional new states to the existing 30 states of the Nigerian Federation. Ekiti State of Nigeria was one of the 6 new states and it was carved out of the Ondo State which was created earlier in 1976 out of defunct Western State of Nigeria. Due to the state creation, economic assets, institutions and establishments previously owned by the Ondo State were shared with the new Ekiti State. Hence, the ownership and proprietorship of the Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti came under the joint administration of the Governments of Ekiti State and the Ondo State.

Eager to attract more settlers and laborers to develop the colony, the proprietorship encouraged the trafficking of slaves for labor by offering settlers headrights, an award of allocations of land based on the number of workers, slaves or indentured servants, trafficked to the colony. The first African slaves to appear in English records were owned by Colonel Lewis Morris in Shrewsbury. In an early attempt to encourage European settlement, the New Jersey legislature enacted a prohibitive tariff against trafficked slaves to encourage European indentured servitude. When this act expired in 1721, however, the British Government and New Jersey's royal governor, countered attempts to renew it.

Jimi Wong graduated from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. According to Asiaweek, Jimi Wong started out in the industry by working for others, but as the conventional lighting industry became saturated and the emergency lighting industry grew to be a “potentially lucrative market”, Jimi Wong eventually ventured out on his own. Maxspid was founded by Jimi Wong as a sole proprietorship in 1978. The business became more lucrative in 1982, when it became compulsory for all local commercial and industrial buildings to install emergency lighting. Wong’s eldest son, James Wong, eventually joined his father’s company and is now a general manager in Maxspid.

The Greenway Court Estate Office Greenway Court was the center of the "Northern Neck Proprietary" or "Fairfax Grant", which passed to Thomas Fairfax, 6th Lord Fairfax of Cameron from his mother's family, the Culpepers, who had taken proprietorship of the land in 1673. Fairfax laid out the Greenway Court estate in 1747, intending it to be a much larger establishment than it became. The main house was a 1-1/2 story timber structure with long sloping roofs and corbelled brick chimneys. It was originally intended to house the land steward, but it was occupied by Fairfax with his nephew, Thomas Bryan Martin, until his death in 1781.

John Penn (or John Penn, Jr. or John Penn of Stoke) (22 February 1760 – 21 June 1834) was the chief proprietor of the Province of Pennsylvania as of 1775 (now the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States) and a politician and writer. He and his cousin, John Penn ("John Penn, the Governor") held unsold property, of , which the Pennsylvania legislature confiscated after the American Revolution. Penn lived in Philadelphia for five years after the Revolution, from 1783 to 1788, building a country house just outside the city. He returned to Great Britain in 1789 after receiving his three-fourths portion of £130,000, the compensation for the proprietorship by the Pennsylvania government.

Copley arrived in the Maryland colony following a Protestant rebellion that had overthrown the proprietorship of the Catholic Calvert family. The Protestants, who were the majority in the colony, had ejected their leaders after a brief conflict, echoing the Glorious Revolution that had occurred in England in 1688. From the overthrow of the proprietary government in 1689 until the arrival of Copley in 1692, Maryland had been governed by leaders of the rebellion, who called themselves the Protestant Associators. Their rule was somewhat catholic; the only courts that met at the time were the county courts and the associators used their executive power to punish their enemies.

Kochhar allegedly favoured Videocon Group in lending practices. ICICI Bank said it has decided to institute an independent enquiry into the allegations. On 29 March 2018, The Indian Express first reported that Videocon group promoter Venugopal Dhoot provided crores of rupees allegedly to NuPower Renewables Pvt Ltd (NRPL), a firm he had set up with Chanda Kochhar's husband Deepak Kochhar and two relatives six months after the Videocon group got Rs 3,250 crore as loan from ICICI Bank in 2012. He allegedly transferred proprietorship of the company to a trust owned by Deepak Kochhar for Rs 9 lakh, six months after he received the loan from ICICI Bank.

Investment clubs are generally formed as general partnerships, but could also be formed as limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships, corporations, or sole proprietorship that transfer real estate assets to a group living trust (similar to a family trust). While an investment club could incorporate, the double tax treatment on corporate distributions makes the corporate structure less desirable than a partnership except in the case when a C Corporation pays out qualified dividends after deducting allowable expenses. Hubbell Incorporated is an American company that designs, manufactures and sells electrical and electronic products for non-residential and residential construction, industrial and utility applications. Hubbell was founded by Harvey Hubbell as a proprietorship in 1888, and was incorporated in Connecticut in 1905. It is ranked 577 by the fortune group. The Company’s reporting segments consist of the Electrical segment (comprising electrical systems products and lighting products) and the Power segment. Hubbell’s manufacturing facilities are located in the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, Mexico, the People's Republic of China ("China"), Italy, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Australia and maintains sales offices in Singapore, China, India, Mexico, South Korea, and countries in the Middle East.

Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, New Jersey Transit, the main provider of contemporary rail and bus service in the locale, expressed interest in potentially restoring passenger service to the line due to ever-increasing ridership on the local bus lines. In 1997, a $3.97 million grant was given to New Jersey Transit by the Federal Transit Administration. At the time, many towns along the line supported the idea, and went as far as conducting zoning procedures to allow room for the new additions the railroad would bring. Considering the current line is not under proprietorship of New Jersey Transit, a new right-of-way would be installed parallel to the existing freight line.

The Land Acts (officially Land Law (Ireland) Acts)The Short Titles Act 1896, section 2(1) and Schedule 2 were a series of measures to deal with the question of tenancy contracts and peasant proprietorship of land in Ireland in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Five such acts were introduced by the government of the United Kingdom between 1870 and 1909. Further acts were introduced by the governments of the Irish Free State after 1922 and more acts were passed for Northern Ireland. The success of the Land Acts in reducing the concentration of land ownership is indicated by the fact that in 1870, only 3% of Irish farmers owned their own land while 97% were tenants.

The mines have been in operation since 1725 and came under the proprietorship of the English Saint John Del Rey Mining Company in 1834. In this period the mine was amongst others instrumental in the establishment of a hydro-electrical power plant, a state of the art hospital, the Villa Nova AC association football team, which had some importance between the 1930s and 1970s and the construction of a circa 10 kilometre tramway line between Nova Lima and Raposos, considered the first in South America. Despite his close ties with the colonial government, Jenifer strongly resented what he and most of the colonial gentry saw as Parliament's arbitrary interference with the colonies' affairs, especially its laws concerning taxation and trade regulation. Years before the struggle for independence began, he had defended the proprietors of Maryland against those who sought to make Maryland a Royal colony. When the Revolution came, Jenifer lent his considerable support as a wealthy landowner to the Patriot cause, despite the fact that many leading Patriots had been his enemies in the proprietorship struggle. Jenifer became the president of Maryland's Council of Safety, the Patriot body established to organize Maryland's military forces for the Revolution (1775–77).

Thornton displayed his more developed economic and political views in his next work, A Plea for Peasant Proprietors, with the Outlines of a Plan for their Establishment in Ireland, published in 1848. Mill was given proofs of Thornton's latest work as a courtesy to a friend and it was released a few weeks before his own Political Economy, which contained influences from Thornton's latest work. By 1874, the work had long been out of print, however, due to the new passing of the Irish Land Act of 1870, Thornton's work resurfaced as newly relevant and was reprinted. It was published with two additional chapters, the "Social and Moral Effects of Peasant Proprietorship", and "Ireland: a Forecast from 1873".

The 6th Earl of Dunmore, Alexander Edward Murray, had inherited Harris upon the death of his father on 11 November 1836 and would in turn be succeeded by his son, Charles Adolphus, following the 6th Earl's death on 14 July 1845. Thus the 6th Earl was about halfway through his proprietorship of the island when he was providing a pound per person for those electing to leave. The seventh Earl of Dunmore served as a Lord-in-waiting (government whip in the House of Lords) in the second Conservative administration of Benjamin Disraeli and was also Lord Lieutenant of Stirlingshire. The 7th Earl relinquished ownership of the North Harris Estate to his bankers, in particular the Scott family.

Upon returning to Denmark, Tietgen founded a wholesale business, C.F. Tietgen & Co, at Copenhagen’s Amagertorv in 1855, later relocating to Gammeltorv Market. Despite of the impressing office locations, the business was a modest sole proprietorship, dealing primarily as an agent between business-connections in Manchester and Copenhagen. In 1857, after his involvement as curator in a bankruptcy had demonstrated a remarkable eye for economy and strategic thinking, he was invited to join the management of Privatbanken which under him developed into Denmark's first investment bank. In the span of four decades as head of Privatbanken, Tietgen created and consolidated a large number of companies, and gained control of major companies in several industrial sectors.

Under G. Saladin's relatively poor management and lack of attention, the quality of the vinification gradually decreased until, in 1998, Gérard Saladin opted to convert to the less time-consuming, and less profitable, path of selling bulk wine to the local vintners co-operative. In more recent years, G. Saladin did not vinify any wine, but instead sold the Pécany grapes in bulk. In 1990, Château Pécany, but not the surrounding vineyards, was brought under the proprietorship of a single owner when Marie-France Siegler purchased the chateau from her siblings. In July 2006 Véronique Langlands-Perry was appointed as sales and marketing director for the vineyard to expand sales of the Château's wines worldwide.

In 1954, he converted the Zurich sole proprietorship into a stock corporation, Dr. W. Ingold AGInterview in Swiss Chem 6 (1984) Nr. 8a, 68-76 "Dr. W. Ingold AG, CH-8903 Urdorf-Zürich – pH-Messtechnik 3x10 Jahre Ingold, Qualität feiert Jubiläum". In the early 1950s, the invention of the single-rod measuring cell, a combination of measurement and reference electrode in one construction unit, marked a decisive step towards becoming one of the world's leading companies in the field of pH measurement15.3.

In his twenties, Henry Sy became a store manager working for an American business involved in the local shoe industry in the Philippines; he opened his first sole-proprietorship store in Quiapo, Manila in 1948. He opened at least three shoe stores in the Carriedo area which was then known for its heavy pedestrian traffic. His decision to sell shoes was due to the losses his family experienced in World War II thinking that everyone would need shoes following the aftermath of the war. He sold surplus G.I. boots and saved finances before he established ShoeMart in 1958, his own small shoe store in Quiapo, that marked the beginning of SM Prime.

In financial accounting, a balance sheet or statement of financial position or statement of financial condition is a summary of the financial balances of an individual or organization, whether it be a sole proprietorship, a business partnership, a corporation, private limited company or other organization such as government or not-for-profit entity. Assets, liabilities and ownership equity are listed as of a specific date, such as the end of its financial year. A balance sheet is often described as a "snapshot of a company's financial condition". Of the four basic financial statements, the balance sheet is the only statement which applies to a single point in time of a business' calendar year.

' It called upon these workers to help 'to bring to a successful conclusion the cause of peace, and at the same time the cause of the emancipation of the toiling and exploited masses of the population from all forms of slavery and all forms of exploitation.' That same night the Second Congress of Soviets adopted the Decree on Land, which proclaimed that 'Landed proprietorship is abolished forthwith without compensation.' The basis adopted for this agrarian law was a Mandate (Nakaz) of the peasantry, compiled from 242 mandates of peasants of various localities. In accordance with this Mandate private ownership of land was to be abolished forever and replaced by public, or state ownership of the land.

In British English and in the Commonwealth countries, the term company is more widely used to describe the same sort of entity while the word corporation encompasses all incorporated entities. In American English, the word company can include entities such as partnerships that would not be referred to as companies in British English as they are not a separate legal entity. Late in the 19th century, a new form of the company having the limited liability protections of a corporation, and the more favorable tax treatment of either a sole proprietorship or partnership was developed. While not a corporation, this new type of entity became very attractive as an alternative for corporations not needing to issue stock.

At this time Townstal (as the name became) was apparently a purely agricultural settlement, centred around the church. Walter of Douai rebelled against William II, and his lands were confiscated and added to the honour of Marshwood (Dorset), which sublet Townstal and Dartmouth to the FitzStephens. It was probably during the early part of their proprietorship that Dartmouth began to grow as a port, as it was of strategic importance as a deep-water port for sailing vessels. The port was used as the sailing point for the Crusades of 1147 and 1190, and Warfleet Creek, close to Dartmouth Castle is supposed by some to be named for the vast fleets which assembled there.

The Maryland Toleration Act, passed in 1649. The Calvert family were Roman Catholics and had founded Maryland as a colony where Catholics and Nonconformist Protestants as well as members of the established Church of England could live together in peace. Cecil Calvert, 2nd Baron Baltimore (1605–1675), had received the proprietorship that was intended for his father, George Calvert, the 1st Lord Baltimore, who died in 1632 at age 53, shortly before it was granted. Cecil established his colony in Maryland from his home in England, (but sent his younger brother Leonard Calvert, (1606–1647) as first colonial governor, and as a Roman Catholic continued the legacy of his father by promoting religious tolerance in the colony.

During the rest of the 1880s a succession of managements presented a wide range of genres, from adaptations of French plays, Shakespeare, Sheridan, Ibsen, and a Dickens adaptation by the novelist's son, to musical shows, including The Fay o' Fire by Edward Jones and Henry Herman, which The Era later described as "notable as introducing Miss Marie Tempest to the regular stage". Composers whose works were presented at the Opera Comique in this period included Julia Woolf, Meyer Lutz and Victor Roger. Performers included Nelly Bromley, Frank Wyatt, Johnston Forbes- Robertson, Julia Gwynne and Penley. 1887 programme cover The theatre was again renovated in 1885, under the proprietorship of the actor-manager, David James.

Prior to their departure from Metal Blade Records, Dawn of Ashes released the EP Farewell to the Flesh, a release that saw a return of DoA's early electronic elements. Shortly following the release saw Othuum and Volkar Kael leave the band over creative differences. There was no rancour in the split, with Othuum and Volker confirming this. Bathory's response saw the confirmation of Rayne staying on as a band member whilst simultaneously announcing a return to sole proprietorship over Dawn of Ashes' future creative direction. Dawn of Ashes also took the time to record another music video for the track "Fuck Like You’re in Hell" - again demonstrating Kristof Bathory's creative and horrifying vision and once more executed by Bahemoth.

Given the repeated response of Kuczynski that only respond in writing, Bartra made the disclosure of payments that the Odebrecht company had made between 2005 and 2006 to the consulting companies Westfield Capital and First Capital, linked to President Kuczynski, then Minister of State. It should be noted, however, that none of these payments were bribes, but that they were all legal; What was questioned was the fact that Kuczynski received them through his sole proprietorship (Westfield Capital) as a Minister of State, something constitutionally forbidden. Pushed by the revelations, Kuczynski agreed to have received a consulting payment for the H2 Olmos project, from the same Brazilian company. This only increased political tension due to its supposed contradictions.

Cruzeiro EC are a Brazilian club from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais playing in the Série A, the top flight of football in Brazil. The partnership between Ajax and Cruzeiro was announced on 14 December 2007, and serves as a sort springboard for Cruzeiro players who seek to play their professional football in Europe. Young players from the club are regularly invited to Amsterdam for trial periods, and in case Ajax decide to purchase a player from Cruzeiro, the Brazilian side then retain 35% proprietorship and transfer rights of the player. Furthermore, the two clubs organize exhibition matches between their senior, and more frequently their youth teams, to help promote international playing experience for their players.

One of the pioneers in early American taxidermy, a man named John Scudder succeeded to the proprietorship of Gardner Baker's American Museum, which had been founded in New York in 1791 by the Tammany Society. The museum was later acquired by P. T. Barnum and was soon reestablished as Barnum's American Museum in 1842. Scudder's successor, Titian Peale, who was appointed assistant manager of the Philadelphia Museum in 1821, also made important contributions to early taxidermy exhibits. Though Scudder and Peale did not contribute any known innovations in the art's technique or methodology, their museum work in New York and Philadelphia paved the way for the development of modern American taxidermy in the decades that followed.

Established by proprietors William Watts and Edward Powell in 1878, The Logan Witness was the first newspaper to emanate from the Beenleigh district and was originally published as The Logan Witness and Southern Districts Advertiser. Initially optimistic that the rapid advancement of the district entitled it to journalistic representation, the paper struggled financially and was sold to Mr John Hinchcliffe by April 1879. During his proprietorship Hinchcliffe changed the newspaper name to The Logan Witness, advocated for the advancement of the district and spoke out against anything opposed to those interests. On Saturday 10 June 1893 the publisher declared that issue of The Logan Witness would cease temporarily, due to the unprecedented financial depression existing in the Logan district and all the colonies.

Early in 1854 it was sold to M. D. Brundige. Under Brundige’s proprietorship, Wallace edited the paper. It was still published in the house built by Foster. In the latter part of 1854, the Star was sold to J. S. Waite & Co. The site donated to Foster by the council in 1850, on which to establish a printing house for the advancement of public enlightenment, seems not to have been a part of the Star outfit. A prospectus on the Spanish page informs us that “Imprenta de la Estrella, Calle Principal, Casa de Temple”—that is, the printing ofiice of the Star is on Main street, in the House of Temple, where was added, the finest typographical work will be done in Spanish, French and English.

The Land Law (Ireland) Act 1881 gave tenants real security, though by this time the Irish were demanding proprietorship. The Act established the principle of dual ownership by landlord and tenant, gave legal status to the Custom of Ulster throughout the country, provided for compensation for improvements and created the Irish Land Commission and a Land Court. In Gladstone's words, the intention of the Act was to make landlordism impossible.Hickey, D.J. & Doherty, J.E., A new Dictionary of Irish History from 1800, Land Acts p. 287, Gill & MacMillan (2003) However, it was a complicated piece of legislation though it did provide for land purchase, three-quarters of the money to be advanced by the Land Commission, and to be repaid over 35 years at 5% interest.

187 In 1807 the theatre was acquired by a group of court nobles that included Count Ferdinand Palffy von Erdöd, who bought it outright in 1813. During the period of his proprietorship, which lasted until 1826, he offered opera and ballet and, to appeal to a wider Viennese audience, popular pantomime and variety acts, losing money in elaborate spectacles until finally he was forced to sell the theatre at auction in 1826. Only a part of the original building is preserved: the ' (Papageno Gate) is a memorial to Schikaneder, who is depicted playing the role of Papageno in The Magic Flute, a role he wrote for himself to perform. He is accompanied by the Three Boys, characters in the same opera.

The first Maryland assembly, the first session of a non-native legislative body in Maryland, convened in 1634 and met periodically through 1635. The assembly quickly began to challenge a number of Cecil Calvert's edicts (sent in a letter along with the settlers), although they did not challenge his proprietorship over the new colony or his requirement for religious tolerance. Croxton Park's history began when the Pilgrim Inn was first licensed in 1844 on Plenty Rd, in what became the township of Northcote in 1853. Dalrymple Maitland Dalrymple Maitland, JP (22 March 1848 – 25 March 1919) was an Isle of Man business leader and public official who served as a member of the House of Keys starting in 1890, and as Speaker of the House of Keys from 1909 to 1919. A native of Liverpool, Maitland was the son of John Maitland, editor of the Liverpool Mercury. He was educated at Dr Steele's Crescent Academy and afterwards worked in his uncle's business, to the management of which he succeeded when his uncle decided to give more time to public affairs. He also inherited the proprietorship of the Liverpool Mercury, but in 1887, when he followed his uncle into public life, he sold the Mills and other businesses. After 1887 he was associated with many public and commercial offices taking over most from his uncle on the latter's death in 1890.

In the meantime, a gasoline-powered motor home was built by Lombard for Holman Harry (Flannery) Linn of Old Town, Maine to pull the equipment wagon of his dog & pony show, resembling a trolley car only with wheels in front and Lombard crawlers in rear. Linn had experimented with gasoline and steam-powered vehicles and six-wheel drive before this, and at some point entered Lombard's employment as a demonstrator, mechanic and sales agent. This resulted in a question of proprietorship of patent rights after a single rear-tracked gasoline-powered road engine of tricycle arrangement was built to replace the larger motor home in 1909 on account of problems with the old picturesque wooden bridges. This dispute resulted in Linn departing Maine and relocating to Morris, New York, to build an improved, contour following flexible lag tread or crawler with independent suspension of halftrack type, gasoline and later diesel powered.

The Wecker was enthusiastically on the side of Prussia in the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871, with Rapp giving speeches in support of the now Kaiser Wilhelm I, arguing that "although those present were republicans, they could not forget that under the old man 'von Hohenzollern' -King William- Germany had been reborn." This stance of the Wecker was denounced by The Sun, which viewed it to be an abdication of the paper's earlier republican and anti-monarchist stances. In the spring of 1873, Schnauffer, after 19 years, retired, leaving the paper in the hands of Blumenthal & Co. At some point prior to 1877, it passed to the proprietorship of Captain J.R. Fellman The daily edition of Der Wecker ceased publication in September 1877, but Wilhelm Schnauffer, who regained full control of all the assets at that time, continued to produce the weekly version. At this point, the Baltimore Wecker Sonntagsblatt, as it was known, was located at No 1 North Holliday Street.

Incunabula is the name of a quality small press based in Seattle, Washington, United States. The company is under the sole proprietorship of Ron Drummond, who serves as publisher, editor, and production manager. The company's distinctive logo, consisting of a photograph of pieces of type arranged in two vertical columns that spell out the company name, was designed by Nick Gregoric from an idea by Drummond. Though the press is often mistakenly referred to as "Incunabula Press", the correct name in fact consists of just the single word. Incunabula was originally active during the years 1992-1996, during which time it published three books and one broadside: They Fly at Çiron by Samuel R. Delany (July 1993); Antiquities: Seven Stories by John Crowley (October 1993), short-listed for the 1994 World Fantasy Award for Best Collection; "Solutions to Everything" by Michael Ventura (10 September 1994); and Atlantis: Three Tales by Samuel R. Delany (July 1995).

This was followed by a telegram from John Devoy in October 1878 which offered Parnell a "New Departure" deal of separating militancy from the constitutional movement as a path to all- Ireland self-government, under certain conditions: abandonment of a federal solution in favour of separatist self-government, vigorous agitation in the land question on the basis of peasant proprietorship, exclusion of all sectarian issues, collective voting by party members and energetic resistance to coercive legislation. The first Takashimaya store was opened in Kyoto in 1831 as a sole proprietorship owned by Shinshichi Iida, a merchant from present-day Fukui Prefecture. The Hankou archival evidences from the local sources indicate that their official dissolution been the result of political changes rather than from their inability to serve modern businesses or any form of resistance against ruling orders. During the 1990s the term qianzhuang would experience a revival in Mainland China, in this context qianzhuang refer to informal finance companies which operate within the boundaries of illegality and legality. Like the earlier qianzhuang, the ones that emerged during the late 20th and early 21st centuries tended to be privately owned businesses, they have structures of partnership or sole-proprietorship, with assumingly unlimited liability, they also tend to be operated solely by privately financed credit, they egregiously rely on their owners’ social circles, are barely protected by the Chinese state or any of its laws, and are often accused of being loan-sharks or fronts for money-laundering operations. In that case, the Author, Anthony Johnson sold software as a sole proprietor and incorporated his company in 2003 as Storix, Inc. On January 15, 1853, the paper would be rechristened the Holyoke Freeman with Azro B. F. Hildreth assuming the editorship. Norton was selected by the Trades and Labor Council of New South Wales to go to Europe in 1886 to tell potential immigrants that Australia was not a workers' paradise. He attended a trade union congress in Hull and spoke in French to one in Paris. On his return, Norton became editor of the Newcastle Morning Herald and Miners Advocate, but was sacked for drunkenness after a few months. Within a few weeks of its establishment in August 1890, he then joined the Truth, which favoured exposé articles. He soon became its editor and in April 1891 he altered its masthead to claim proprietorship, but was sacked as editor for repeated drunkenness.
