On the 1984 Costello album Goodbye Cruel World and its accompanying tour, he was credited as "Maurice Worm." His instrument credit on the album was not for playing keyboards, but for providing "random racket". He wrote some material on The Attractions' Costello-less album, Mad About the Wrong Boy under the name Norman Brain, in collaboration with his then girlfriend, Fay Hart. (He also wrote other songs on the album as Steve Nieve.) In the mid-1980s, Costello began to work less frequently with the Attractions and stopped working with them entirely between 1987 and 1993.

Organist Steve Nieve uses a deliberately out of tune Vox Continental organ on the song; Costello described the keyboard sound as "thin" and "evil". Costello cited the song as an example of This Year's Model's "spiky and sour" sound, which was created through "a solitary box of tricks to delay and detune" the instruments.

Casal only published two poetry collections during his lifetime, Hojas al viento and Nieve. His last collection, Bustos y rimas was never completed while he was alive, however it appeared in 1893 shortly after his death with the help of Casal's friend, Enrique Hernández Miyares. It differs from his earlier works because it contains both prose and poetry. Hojas al viento includes forty-nine poems and is considered an example of Casal's early writing style.
The poems in this collection are topical in nature and often refer to contemporary events. A few of them were even characterized as "imitations" and show the influence of other writers. The work was well received by his contemporaries as an early offering by a poet with much promise. Casal continued to publish poems in various Cuban periodicals and in 1892 he compiled many of these pieces in his second collection, Nieve.

Bola de Nieve was an unusual case: a trained pianist who accompanied his piano with a gravelly voice. He is better classified as a salon entertainer than a trova artist. La Locura de Amor (1855), in which Juana la Loca, the passionate, love-sick daughter of Isabel the Catholic, figures as the chief personage, established Tamayo's reputation as Spain's leading playwright. Hija y Madre (1855) is a failure, and La Bola de Nieve (1856) is notable solely for its excellent workmanship. It is unfortunate that Tamayo's straitened means forced him to put original work aside and to adapt pieces from the French. Examples of this sort are fairly numerous.

The upper Nevera is called 'Nevera de Dalt', the lower one 'Nevera de Baix'. 'Nevera' is the modern word for refrigerator, but the origins of the word come from nieve (neu in Valencian) meaning snow. His dog chased a rabbit down a hole and did not come back.

Dubbed "a 45 that radio could hardly refuse" by AllMusic's Mark Deming, "Oliver's Army" is a new wave song with a radio-friendly arrangement that has been described as "glossy". Deming noted the "pop-friendly production" and Costello's "almost jubilant- sounding vocal [distinct] from the traditionally dour (or threatening) Costello, who even embellished himself with some tight vocal harmony overdubs". The song was noted for keyboardist Steve Nieve's "buoyant" piano part, which was inspired by ABBA's 1976 hit single "Dancing Queen". Nieve has explicitly acknowledged the influence.

Igor Antón riding at the front of the breakaway early in stage 19, the first Vuelta stage to end in the Basque Country in 33 years. Antón later went on to win the stage. The team set its sights to stage hunting in the second half of the race, hoping for success on difficult mountain stages, mentioning La Farrapona and Angliru as their targets. Nieve and Verdugo finished at the front of the race in stage 13, in a selective escape group, but finished 9th and 18th respectively in the 18-man sprint.
Despite targeting the day, the squad could finish no higher than ninth on La Farrapona in stage 14, as Nieve took that placing. Antón, for his part, finished that stage in the last group on the road, more than half an hour down on the winner. The team was extremely active in stage 15 on Angliru, to the point that one post-race analysis suggested they "left it all" on the climb. Antón crossed the line in sixth place, a minute and 21 seconds down on stage winner and eventual Vuelta champion Juan José Cobo.
Yates finished the UCI World Tour race sixth overall. decided not to select Yates for the Tour de France, and he instead was rested for a few weeks. Afros are sung in a creolized form of Spanish, often similar to bozal. In the 1940s and 1950s, the genre reached its peak of popularity often mixing with son cubano giving rise to the hybrid style known as afro-son (or son- afro). Compositions not based on the son structure were often labelled as canción afro (afro-song) or canción de cuna afro (afro-lullaby); the latter became a popular form, especially due to the popularity of Ernesto Grenet's "Drume negrita". Among the most notable singers of afro were Rita Montaner, Bola de Nieve, Desi Arnaz and Merceditas Valdés.
Sonny, now played by Aaron Fontaine, returns when his former sister-in-law Carmel Valentine (Gemma Merna) contacts him and tells him that his niece Kathleen- Angel (Nieve Grandison) is not safe with her mother, Theresa McQueen (Jorgie Porter). When he refuses to help, Carmel reveals that Theresa murdered his brother and Kathleen-Angel's father, Calvin. Sonny confronts Theresa in the village, revealing that he is now a Detective Sergeant in the police force and threatens her. When Carmel finds out, she confronts Sonny and he asks her to make a full written statement saying that Theresa killed Calvin, but she refuses.
Zitarrosa was born as the illegitimate son of 19-year-old Jesusa Blanca Nieve Iribarne (Blanca), at The Pereira Rossell Hospital, Montevideo. Shortly after being born, Blanca handed over her son to be raised by Carlos Durán, a man of many trades, and his wife, Doraisella Carbajal, then employed at the Council for Children, becoming Alfredo "Pocho" Durán. They lived in several cities neighbourhoods, and moved between 1944 and the end of 1947, they moved to the town of Santiago Vázquez. The song "Nieve de Mamey" was dedicated to one of Trevi's cellmates and her also convicted husband in Chihuahua's jail. Furthermore, "Eres Un Santo" was dedicated to Gloria Trevi's boyfriend Armando Gómez, whom she met in Chihuahua's prison. On the other hand, Trevi performed and early version of the song "Cómo Nace el Universo" in 1998 in a TV interview before being arrested, in which she stated that her supposed "new" album was ready to be released. The song "Poder Y Fama" is based on a 1991 song called "Rondas Infantiles" by Miguel Pizarro, which was produced by Sergio Andrade.
On that year's Goodbye Cruel World and its associated tour, The Attractions' keyboardist was billed as "Maurice Worm"; yet another pseudonym for Nason/Nieve. In early 1986, Costello released King of America, billed to The Costello Show and made largely without the Attractions. The Attractions played on only one track, as well as the non-LP B-side "Baby's Got A Brand New Hairdo", billed to 'The Costello Show Featuring The Attractions'. Later that same year Costello reunited with The Attractions to record the album Blood & Chocolate, but this would prove to be the final Attractions release for several years.
Growing antipathy between Costello and Bruce Thomas contributed to the Attractions' first split in 1986, and the rift was exacerbated by what Costello felt was his unflattering portrayal in Thomas' 1990 book The Big Wheel. Despite this, the original group reunited for several tracks on Costello's 1994 album Brutal Youth and toured together over the next two years. They recorded one further album as a group (1996's All This Useless Beauty) but split for good in 1996. Nieve and Pete Thomas continued to back Costello through various touring and recording lineups, and are still members of his current backing group The Imposters.
Veà was a close associate and protégée of Jordi Sabater Pi, the discoverer of the white gorilla Copito de Nieve. Veà collaborated with Sabater Pi in research on bonobos (pygmy chimpanzees) in the jungle of Zaire in 1988. Research he conducted within the period of 1985-1996, focused on behavioral variability and the processes of adaption. On top of joint publications with Sabater Pi, various studies on primate behavior stand out from this period, including “Instrumental behavior of the chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes) in its natural habitat” (1988), and “Innovation and diffusion of behavior patterns in primate societies: the birth of culture” (1990).
Villanueva hired many artists from around the world to contribute works to the campus, including Calder, who contributed four pieces; Ráfaga de nieve, a monumental acoustic sculpture called the Floating Clouds, and two stabiles. The mobile was first restored in 1983, and restored again in 2013; its location allows strong air currents to damage it over time while also making it difficult to clean. Restoration involved consultation with the Calder Foundation, and each piece was documented and labeled before it was dismantled and removed. A geometric analysis of the mobile suggested that in some formations it shows Fibonacci patterns in its layout.
After this race it was confirmed that Roche would take part in the Giro d'Italia for a third time in his career. Roche started the race as a backup general classification rider to Mikel Landa in the first five days of racing, where he was placed in the top 10 overall. His form faded over the race but helped his teammate Mikel Nieve win the mountains classification. In June Roche completed the double at the Irish National Cycling Championships winning the time trial ahead of Eddie Dunbar and Ryan Mullen, and winning the road race ahead of Matt Brammeier.
The song was not included on the original UK releases of either My Aim Is True, which preceded it, or This Year's Model, which followed in March 1978. It was, however, added to the US release of My Aim Is True (March 1978). Two live versions of "Watching the Detectives" from 1978 were released, one from 6 March on the Canadian promotional album Live at the El Mocambo, and another from 4 June on the Live at Hollywood High EP, which came with initial copies of the Armed Forces album (January 1979). A later live version was included in the Costello & Nieve box-set in 1996.

Uruguayan and Argentine alfajores Peruvian alfajores Traditional "alfajores" in Argentina, Peru, and Uruguay consist of two round, sweet biscuits made of wheat flour or corn starch joined together with dulce de leche (known as "manjar blanco" in Peru), and optionally coated with powdered sugar. More modern "industrial" varieties in Chile, Uruguay and Argentina, are coated with dark or white chocolate (many alfajores are sold in "black" and "white" versions), or simply covered with powdered sugar. These are also known as a Chilean Oreo. One variation is called "alfajor de nieve" (snow alfajor) and has a white coating consisting of a mixture of egg whites and sugar.
The Snow Flurry design was used by American artist Alexander Calder for at least seven mobiles between 1948 and 1959. A monumental design composed of white disks of varying sizes are connected on different branches and levels to reflect a snow flurry in Calder's distinct Modernist style. The 1950 mobile was famously owned by the Noyes family before its 2012 sale fetched over $10 million and made it the most expensive hanging mobile ever sold. This mobile is owned privately, while the 1955 Ráfaga de nieve mobile is a permanent fixture at the Central University of Venezuela, and the others are displayed in museums.
With Kanstantsin Sivtsov of being part of a successful breakaway the next day, Menchov dropped down to eighth in the general classification. Sastre again was part of a large lead group the next day, but failed to make inroads on a small move within the pack, and eventually finished at the rear of the breakaway, along with Kozonchuk, some 80 seconds ahead of the main field. After losing eighth place overall on stage 19, Menchov profited from time lost by rider Mikel Nieve, who had been sixth, to move back into eighth place overall; a position he finished the race in, but over 12 minutes down on Contador.
A plaque was erected at Greenwich Dance's The Borough Hall on Royal Hill in Greenwich, London where they had performed their first gig. Squeeze embarked on their 'Spot The Difference' tour of the USA in July 2010, which continued in the UK in November and December. "Senior Service" was, according to Costello, heavily influenced by textures on David Bowie's albums Station to Station, Low, and "Heroes", albums that Costello and the Attractions had been listening to regularly during the recording of Armed Forces. Costello explained, "The effect of [Bowie's influence] can be heard overtly in the keyboard and background voices" on the song. The production on the song is notably "crisp" and "bright"; with a stop-start drum part from Pete Thomas and a keyboard line from Steve Nieve that has been compared to ABBA, the song's arrangement is notably dance-friendly. Lyrically, "Senior Service" references both the Royal Navy and the cigarette brand of the same name, a brand marketed toward middle- class suburbanites.

Txurruka took seventh at the Klasika Primavera, finishing staunchly in the middle of a 15-man sprint at the finish. Antón similarly made all the day's selections and finished 11th in this group, as he built his form for the Giro d'Italia. Later in April at the Gran Premio de Llodio, Nieve rode to eighth place finishing with the first chase group behind a solo winner. The team also sent squads to the Clásica de Almería, Milan–San Remo, Gent–Wevelgem, the Tour of Flanders, the Scheldeprijs, the Grand Prix Pino Cerami, Paris–Roubaix, the Amstel Gold Race, and the Vuelta a La Rioja, but finished no higher than 12th in any of these races.
Euskaltel-Euskadi has in their history been reticent to ride the Giro d'Italia, favoring the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España instead. After first indicating a reluctant willingness to participate as per the requirements of holding a ProTeam license, the team later stated that they intended to seek overall victory in the race with Antón. Antón was named as the leader of the squad, which included Nieve, Oroz, Isasi, Aramendía, Azanza, Cazaux, Sesma and Minguez to ride in support. Antón tempered the expectations somewhat, saying that a stage win would be nice, as would General Classification success should it come, but that he was only banking on riding for the overall at the Vuelta a España.
The withdrawals left the team with only four riders in the race, which stood to make Sivtsov's task of defending fifth overall all the more difficult. Indeed, Sivstov was unable to maintain contact with the group of top overall riders on the way into Sestriere, losing sufficient time that he fell to 11th overall. He rebounded in stage 21 to take tenth place in the time trial, which coupled with the losses sustained by Mikel Nieve, tenth-placed at the beginning of the day, moved him back up to tenth overall. The team overall showed well in this time trial, with Rasmussen narrowly missing the victory, coming in second just seven seconds back of stage winner Millar.
A year later, already on double bass, he provided music for silent movies in his neighborhood theater, in the company of a pianist who would become a true superstar, the great cabaret performer Ignacio Villa, known as Bola de Nieve."Israel ‘Cachao’ López: Cuban double-bassist and composer who, with his brother, invented the Cuban dance style of mambo in the late 1930s", The Times (London), March 24, 2008. His parents made sure he was classically trained, first at home and then at a conservatory. In his early teens he was already playing contrabass with the Orquesta Filarmónica de La Habana (of which Orestes was a founding member), under the baton of guest conductors such as Herbert von Karajan, Igor Stravinsky and Heitor Villa- Lobos.

Pierre Rolland scored points on more climbs than any other rider; on a total of 18 climbs, compared to the King of the Mountains Nairo Quintana, who scored points on only 6 climbs. However, the climbs that Quintana scored points on included all three of the Hors Category climbs that were at stage finishes - the climbs that offered the most points. Of the climbs the riders placed in the points for, Quintana averaged 24.5 points per climb, compared to Rolland who averaged just 6.6 points. In total, Quintana won 97% of his points on Hors Category climbs, Chris Froome 79%, Rodriguez 92%, Riblon 88% and Nieve 86%, compared to Rolland who only won 48% of his points on HC climbs.
Despite that, the song helped Caro further extend her popularity built on prior hit songs such as "Cuéntale", "Duerme", "Charly", "Copos de nieve" and "No Pudo Ser". She also hosted her own television program, El Show de Nydia Caro on Puerto Rican television. Moreover, her reputation was helped by strong concert performances in prestigious venues; such as, Club Caribe and Club Tropicoro in San Juan, Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center in New York and many others around the world in countries throughout South America, Spain, Australia, Mexico, and Japan. Besides Puerto Rico, Caro's relevance as a cultural icon is strongest in Chile, a country in which she has performed regularly since her 1974 appearance at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival.
The next day, Mikel Nieve won the stage that Contador described as the hardest of his life, a seven-and- a-half-hour day with five high climbs ending at Gardeccia. Following Petacchi's win in the contentious sprint that finished the first road stage, the team took another stage win with young Diego Ulissi in stage 17, after another contentious sprint in which Italian national champion Giovanni Visconti actually crossed the line first but was relegated to third for shoving Ulissi. Daniel Rozoum (20 May 1959 – 28 February 2013), known as Daniel Darc, was a French singer, who achieved success with his band Taxi Girl (together with Mirwais Ahmadzaï) between 1978 and 1986, and also as a solo artist. After Taxi Girl was disbanded in 1986, he continued a solo career, releasing Sous influence divine in 1987. Produced by Jacno, this included a cover version of "Comment te dire adieu", a song with lyrics by Serge Gainsbourg that had been popularized by Françoise Hardy. In 1994 he released Nijinsky, followed by two albums in cooperation with composer, director and producer Frédéric Lo: Crève cœur in 2004 and then Amours suprêmes in 2008, with appearances by Alain Bashung, Robert Wyatt, Morgane (singer of Cocoon) and Steve Nieve.

Mikel Nieve won the queen stage at the Giro d'Italia, one of the hardest stages in many years at the Grand Tours. The squad was dead last of 23 teams in the stage 1 team time trial, losing more than a minute to the winners , a result later described by team captain Antón as "a bit ugly". Antón finished with the group of overall favorites in the selective fifth and seventh stages, and was solidly eighth in stage 9 when eventual Giro champion Alberto Contador won the day and first took the race lead, but sat only in 11th place as a result. The squad was, as could be expected, far more successful in the second and more mountainous half of the race.

The origins of this event are traced back over 220 years with symbolism that is based on the pre-Hispanic notion of a “flower-woman” representative of Mother Earth and fertility. This flower-woman is based on the goddess Xochiquetzal, the goddess of flowers and love, robbed from her husband Tlaloc by Tezcatlipoca. After the Conquest, this “flower-woman” symbol survived and would appear at certain Catholic festivals such as the Viernes de Dolores, or the Friday before Palm Sunday.

Tom Breihan of Stereogum noted elements of "toothy Wire minimalism, mid-period Motown strut, Kinks-y melodic twinkle" in the album's sound, even going on to suggest the influence of Timbaland "since (his music) brought the same sense that empty space was a virtue, that a perfectly-placed sound-effect could be the most memorable part of a song". The opener "Small Stakes" features "Steve Nieve-style keyboards and (a) shoutout to Har Mar Superstar" with lyrics "alluding to class concerns". "The Way We Get By", the lead single from the album, is "built on a rollicking piano line and handclaps" with lyrics that "had its roots in the (Daniel)’s more recent memories of scraping together enough cash to go to shows, alter his mind and find salvation in Iggy Pop". In an interview with Pitchfork, Daniel revealed that the song initially started out as "off-the- cuff" before turning into "a glorified, fucked-up-relationship song about a scrappy couple getting high in the backseat, making love with the song ‘Some Weird Sin,’ seeking out people that don’t speak very much [...]".
Rosario viewed from a point above the Paraná River Rosario lies on the tall ravine of the right-hand shore of the Paraná River, in a place where the ravine separates from the river and there is a natural slope to the low shore, known as Bajada Sargento Cabral (after sergeant Juan Bautista Cabral, who died during the Battle of San Lorenzo). For a long time this was the only access to the port, until several cuts were made in the walls of the ravine. Apart from Jennifer's dog Max, the Historias Ineditas comic book explores an outbreak in a zoo, from where its infected animals (including the corpse of Copito de Nieve, the albino gorilla) then escape, on the same night as the first and second films' events. According to the third film, the outbreak is actually the beginning (genesis) of freedom for the demons that managed to escape the darkness they were trapped in by God. In keeping with this, The Medeiros creature in the first two films seems to exist in a slightly different plane of reality than everyone else: It can only be seen (and can only attack and infect others) when there is total darkness. As well as the creature being revealed when the night vision of a camera is turned on, the geography of the apartment where it was confined changes in darkness as well: When a member of the GEO unit is pulled into a bath full of water in the apartment and the light is then turned on, the bath has been replaced by a more traditional sink unit and the man has vanished.
