Leaves are all cauline and are arranged alternately. They are soft, rather narrow and curly, feather-like, the lower ones broadly-shaped and narrowed in the petiole. Middle and upper leaves cover the stem and are lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, sessile, serrated on the edges. The upper side of the leaves is bare or slightly pubescent, where as the lower side is grayish-felted.
Small petrol two-stroke engines, such as for motorcycles, use crankcase compression rather than a separate supercharger or scavenge blower. This uses both sides of the piston as working faces, the lower side of the piston acting as a piston compressor to compress the inlet charge ready for the next stroke. The piston is still considered as single-acting, as only one of these faces produces power.
At each joint, the trunk will be cut on the lower side at its base and on the upper side at its tip. So this sequence of lower-upper cut will be repeated at subsequent trunks until the end. On the side view of a longhouse, the architecture also imitates the standing tree design i.e. each central post of each family room has left and right branches.
Ladies vs Ricky Bahl had a biggest first day with many places recording high first day collections, but some multiplexes recording 90–100% for the first day. The collection improved well in Delhi and Punjab area throughout the day. The multiplex-dominated areas saw good to decent occupancy while single-screened areas remain on lower side. The film had a decent first day collections of 198.5 million.
It has incorrectly been said that these cutouts were to accommodate using headphones while wearing the helmet. These cutouts were actually done to improve hearing and to reduce echo created by the large, flared skirt. The M1918 Stahlhelm can be distinguished from the M1916, as the M1918 shell lacks the chinstrap rivet on the lower side of the helmet skirt found on earlier models.
The name Vega Baja in Spanish means lower side of the riverplain. Geographically, the North of Puerto Rico goes down and is slightly higher than the level of the Atlantic Ocean and Vega Baja is a coastal town. Other historians believed that the name Vega Baja comes from La Vega. Vega is a surname of one of the families involved in the foundation of Vega Baja.
The areoles are where the flower buds appear. The large flowers, which open widely, are held at a slight angle to the vertical, with the higher side somewhat different from the lower side (slightly zygomorphic). They usually appear pinkish in overall colour, as the individual tepals shade from white at the centre to red at the tips. Each flower is about long by across.
Gurrevejsstiftelsen consists of three open blocks occupying a gently sloping, trapexoid site between Gurrevej Bnarkesvej and Bragesvej. The lower side fronting Gurrevej has three upper side fronting Bjarkesvej is in two storeys. The development is built to a simple Neoclassical design with white facades with corner Lesenes and red tile roofs. It contained 160 individual apartments, consisting of living room, sleapong room, kitchen and toilet.
Eremophila ternifolia is a spreading, aromatic, many-branched shrub which grows to a height of between . Its branches are hairy with both simple and shorter glandular hairs. The leaves are arranged in whorls of three, clustered and overlapping each other near the ends of the branches. They are elliptic to lance-shaped, long, wide, glabrous, light green in colour but often reddish-brown on the lower side.
The units carried three liveries during their life. They entered service in the LNWR "plum and spilt milk" livery. During the LMS period they operated in crimson livery fully lined-out to represent timber panelling. On nationalisation, over a period of about three years, they received Southern Green livery with the BR "cycling lion" emblem half-way along the lower side of the motor coaches and retained this until withdrawal.
The segments are connected to an underlying continuous band of bone, mainly by a broad fusion at the front edge, but also by a narrow strip at the rear. The seams between the segments are covered by a rectangular zone of small oval osteoderms. Between the upper and lower side segment a larger central osteoderm is present, forming a rosette. The front halfring is smaller than the rear one.
Other notable features to be found as standard equipment on cars for non-North American markets are the smaller, flat bottomed steering wheel (complete with "Sport" button) again selected from the VAG parts bin from the Lamborghini Gallardo like the brakes, however a standard 'multifunction' steering wheel was a no-cost option, body-hugging Recaro shell-type race bucket seats complete with electrically inflatable upper and lower side bolsters.
Corybas undulatus is a terrestrial, perennial, deciduous, herb with a single leaf long and wide. The leaf is greyish green on the upper surface and silvery green or reddish on the lower side. There is a single translucent grey flower with purplish red and white markings, long and wide which leans backwards. The dorsal sepal is spatula-shaped to egg-shaped with the narrower end towards the base, long and wide.
The 6th Ward is a long narrow ward stretching back from the Mississippi River. The boundary to down-river or "lower" side (to the north east in this case) is Esplanade Avenue, across which is the 7th Ward. The upper limit is Saint Philip Street, across which is the 5th Ward. The back boundary is Bayou St. John, the land across which is also part of the 5th Ward.
Both sides of the piston are used as working surfaces: the upper side is the power piston, the lower side acts as a pump. Therefore an inlet valve is not required. Unlike other types of engines, there is no supply of oil to the crankcase, because it handles the fuel/air mixture. Instead, two-stroke oil is mixed with the fuel used by the engine and burned in the combustion chamber.
Corybas unguiculatus is a terrestrial, perennial, deciduous, herb with a single egg-shaped, heart- shaped or round leaf long and wide. The leaf is greyish green on the upper surface and reddish on the lower side. There is a single reddish purple to reddish black flower which leans downward almost touching the ovary and long. The flower stem is long with a bract about long just below the ovary.
Well-preserved feathers surround every part of the skeleton except the snout and feet. The body and tail feathers are short, hair-like, and do not have rachises. The feathers on the upper side of the neck are longer than those on the lower side. Asymmetrical pennaceous feathers are preserved attached to the wings, although they are shorter than in other enantiornitheans, being only twice the length of the hand.
Correa lawrenceana var. latrobeana is a shrub that typically grows to a height of or a tree to . Its leaves are elliptical to egg-shaped, arranged in opposite pairs, long and wide and covered with felt-like, cream- to rust-coloured hairs on the lower side. The flowers are arranged singly or in groups of up to seven in leaf axils and on the ends of branchlets on a stalk long.
They are scarcely visible on the lower side, owing to the peculiar tomentose texture of the leaf, and on the upperside may be distinguished by the speckled appearance of the leaf, caused by the larva eating the parenchyma in spots. The pupa is not enclosed in a cocoon, but its anal end is attached to a small button of silk toward one end of the roof of the mine.
They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine has the form of an oblong, tentiform blotch-mine placed on the space between two lateral veins of the lower side of the leaf. The lower epidermis of the mining part is strongly contracted by silken threads, with a longitudinal wrinkle as in most species of Phyllonorycter. Pupation takes place within a whitish, ellipsoidal cocoon, which is placed inside the mine.
They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine starts as upper epidermal and tortuous-linear, and later becomes a blister-like blotch. The leaf roll made by the larva of the late instars is conical or trigonal, always rolled up from the tip of the leaf or leaflet on the lower side. The cocoon is situated on the edge of a living leaf around the leaf roll.
Datalink USB Dress edition with Invasion video game wrist app. (Three lives remaining). The watch crown (i-control) can be used to move the defender left to right and the fire control is the Start/Split button on the lower side of face of the watch at 6 o' clock. The pixels of the invaders appear slightly blurred upon picture magnification because of the animation of the aliens.
Apoica pallens appears to coordinate swarming using an airborne pheromone released from the lower side of the abdomen. Calling behavior is characterized by the gaster being held rigidly away from the thorax, thus exposing the sternal glands. The exposure of these chemical releasing glands has led to the hypothesis that this calling behavior releases airborne pheromones that signal to swarm members, so they know to begin the migration.
The structures of the stipe and the cap develop simultaneously. The developing stipe, cap, and basal disc together form a secondary ring-like cavity, in which the gills develop. Gill development initiates with a number of small alveolae on the lower side of the cap, which are covered with a hymenophoral palisade (a group of tightly packed, roughly parallel cells). The margins of these alveolae form the primary gills.
The hymenophoral palisade spreads from the developing alveolae to the gill edge; the edge of the primary gills is forked in the early stages of its development. The secondary gills (lamellulae) are formed by the ridges folding down from the lower side of the cap. In contrast to the primary gills, they are covered with hymenophoral palisade from the beginning. Spore production begins immediately after the stipe elongates.
The early mined portion is dark yellow-orange margined with dark purplish-brown, while the freshly mined portion is yellowish-brown to yellowish-green. The mine extends towards the apex of the leaf along the margin and turns near the apex and returns towards the base along the other margin. Full-grown larvae leave the mine and spin a hammock- like cocoon on the lower side of the leaf.
The humerus has in general a strongly expanded upper edge, 2.9 wider than the shaft diameter. On the humerus shaft, below the scar for the musculus coracobrachialis, runs a diagonal ridge, from the upper and outer side to the inner and lower side. The first metatarsal has an upper width exceeding its length. The third metatarsal is relatively short with 1.2 times the length of the first metatarsal.
The hair in front of the shoulders radiates from two whorls and grows forward along the sides of the neck and the nape to the head. It also grows forward on the fore throat, radiating from a single whorl. The dorsal pattern consists of faint bands and spots that are slightly darker than the ground colour. The lower side is slightly paler and sometimes greyer than the upper.
At their very midline, the praemaxillae meet in a small sharp point, set within a larger notch in the snout tip as a whole. The front lower side edge of the praemaxilla protrudes to below. At least seventeen cervical vertebrae are present. The neural spines of the middle cervical vertebrae have a notch at their lower front edge with immediately above it a process directed to the front.
Florida Museum of Natural HistoryMarine BioAnimal Spot The largest specimens can grow up to . Sphyraena barracuda in French Polynesia Great barracuda is blue-gray above, fading to silvery and chalky-white below. Sometimes, a row of darker cross- bars occurs on its upper side, with black blotches on each lower side. The second dorsal fin and the anal and caudal fins range from dark violet to black with white tips.
In turn, the station's corner entrance block was reclad in post-modern style tiles in c1996, the lower side wings retain their 1920s elevations. The station's name was changed to Clapham North on 13 September 1926 after the line was extended to Morden that year. Clapham North is one of eight London Underground stations which has a deep-level air-raid shelter beneath it.The platforms at Clapham North tube station.
Jewelry suitably worn in a Prince Albert piercing includes the circular barbell, curved barbell, captive bead, segment ring, and the prince's wand. Curved barbells used for PA piercings are worn such that one ball sits on the lower side of the penis and the other ball sits at the urethral opening. This type of jewelry prevents discomfort that can come from larger jewelry moving around during daily wear.
Overall the territorial period of the males lasts from beginning of February until beginning of September, but the average duration of the territorial period per male was 47.1 days (in Corsica ). Male T. delaisi show territorial behaviour for 2 consecutive years. Spawning takes place from mid of March until June. The male territories are located on the lower side of overhanging cliffs and rocks and have a diameter of around .
Corybas limpidus is a terrestrial, perennial, deciduous, herb with a single thin, round or broad heart-shaped leaf long and wide. Corybas diemenicus is a terrestrial, perennial, deciduous, herb with a single round or heart-shaped leaf long and wide. The leaf is green on the upper surface and silvery green on the lower side. There is usually only a single erect, dark reddish to purple flower with translucent areas, long and wide. The dorsal sepal is long and wide on a stalk about long and forms a hood over the labellum.
Debregieasia saenab also known as ajilai is a shrub that can reach a height of 1.5-2.4m. It has dark reddish branchlets and dark green leaves at mature form; the upper side of leaves are green and lower side are white-grey colour. It is an evergreen plant with edible fruit that can be used as a flavouring agent. Its stems are used for fibre and fuel wood.
The Howard Hotel, at 35 S. Main St. in Brigham City, Utah, was built around 1903. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. It was built as a two-story, brick and adobe hotel around 1903, and was expanded by addition of a third story in 1914. It has a red brick front facade and third-story side walls, the lower side walls are adobe.
Initially solid, the stipe becomes hollow with age; it is cottony (floccose) to scaly toward the base. The annulus is abundant and double-layered; it is bent downward toward the stem, smooth and whitish on the upper side, and covered with cottony scales on the lower side. Agaricus subrufescens is edible, with a somewhat sweet taste and an almond aroma resulting from benzaldehyde, benzyl alcohol, benzonitrile, and methyl benzoate.
The edges are brown too, with a discontinuous stripe of small blotches. The lower side of the wings is creamy orange with an indented edge and dark brown blotches on the forewings, while the hindwings show brown-edged beige blotches and some ringed dark brown and violet shading spots. The wings of this species lacks any silver blotches. The butterfly flies from June to August depending on the location.
The surface of the head that contacts the navicula is less rounded than in moles. The body is low and nearly square and has a diameter of about 3 mm. The trochlea—a surface on the body of the bone that articulates with the tibia (lower leg bone)—is not large and pulley-like, as in talpids. There is a small perforation on the lower side of the body.
Fruit bodies, which may be up to wide, are flat, with irregular lobes, and are attached to the growing surface on the entire lower side by numerous whitish to yellowish rhizoids resembling plants roots. The hymenium is dark purple brown to blackish, while the margin is pale yellow (like the underside), and wavy and irregular. When moist, the surface is sticky. The fruit body has a leathery texture when old.
Zieria insularis is an open, straggly shrub which grows to a height of and has wiry or spindly branches which are covered with long, soft hairs. The leaves are composed of three elliptic to narrow egg-shaped or lance-shaped leaflets. The leaves have a petiole long and the central leaflet is long and wide. The upper side of the leaflets is mostly glabrous and the lower side is slightly hairy.
Alchornea latifolia is a small evergreen tree, sometimes with a buttressed trunk, growing to a height of about . The leaves have thick stalks and are ovate to elliptic, with a rounded base and a short pointed apex. They have three veins radiating from the base and are long and wide. The leaf margins have a small number of short, blunt teeth and the lower side of the leaf blade is downy.
Eucalyptus relicta is a tree, sometimes with branches close to the ground, that typically grows to a height of and forms a lignotuber. The bark on the trunk and branches is thick, dark grey and fissured. Young plants and coppice regrowth have egg-shaped, pointed leaves. Adult leaves are lance- shaped to curved, glossy dark green but paler on the lower side, long and wide, tapering to a petiole long.
This more efficient method also removes the need to invest in discharging equipment in the unloading port. The ramps are long, have a free driving width of and are strengthened for axle loads up to . There are some differences between the first and the second series of barges. The first two were built with lower side coamings due to the limited clearance under the loader at the port of Luleå.
Zieria adenodonta is a dense, bushy shrub which grows to a height of and has warty branchlets. The leaves are composed of three leaflets with the central one, long and wide with a stalk long. The leaflets are dark green and warty on the upper surface, light green and not wary on the lower side. The edges of the leaflets are slightly rolled under and have small teeth.
The lower side becomes mottled at about 55 mm (2.2 in) from the tip and then whitish at about 65 mm (2.6 in). It has a well-developed tuft at its tail tip, consisting of whitish and occasional light brown hairs. This tuft commences at about 130 mm (5.1 in) from the base with fairly short hairs and becomes more pronounced at 180 mm (7.1 in).Goodman and Soarimalala, 2005, p.
On the lower side of the flower lies the third petal; it too, is joined to the stamen tube, but it is larger, and fringed. The flowering period extends from May through July. Common milkwort is quite similar to the heath milkwort (Polygala serpyllifolia), but in this species the inner sepals are usually longer than the petals. The heath milkwort can be all the same colours except for white.
There are 4.5-6 weakly convex whorls with weak suture. The last whorl width is 1.5 x or less of the preceding whorl which is well rounded at lower side. The umbilicus is not very wide, 1/8-1/7 of diameter. Genitalia: internal ornamentation of proximal penis consisting of more than seven longitudinal pleats, sometimes straight and distinct, sometimes wavy, slender and connected by lateral projections giving a reticulate appearance.
On the trombone, it is on the lower side of the bend in the hand slide. Baritone saxophones have a water key at the bottom of the loop at the top of the instrument. Water valves are often erroneously referred to as "spit valves", as the myth persists that some or much of the liquid consists of spit. Rather, it consists of condensed moisture from the breath of the player.
The simplest configuration is implemented in the solar still, evaporating the sea water inside a glass covered box and condensing the water vapor on the lower side of the glass cover. More sophisticated designs separate the solar heat gain section from the evaporation-condensation chamber. An optimized design comprises separated evaporation and condensation sections. A significant part of the heat consumed for evaporation can be regained during condensation.
Several characteristics are indicative of a rhamphothecae, such as an edentulous premaxilla with a thin, tapering lower edge, the successive loss of maxillary and dentary teeth, a mandibular concavity in the lower side, the displacement of the lower surface in the dentary, and a rostral projection of the mandibular symphysis. In Erlikosaurus, the presence of a keratinous beak on the maxilla and premaxilla can be inferred by the presence of numerous neurovascular foramina on the rostral and lateral surfaces in the skull, furthermore, it bears all the mentioned features above, however, it is unclear the extension of the beak. The preserved rhamphotheca in specimens of Gallimimus and Ornithomimus evidences that the keratin sheath covered the premaxilla and overlapped it on the lower side by a few millimeters. In some extant birds, the rhamphotheca is typically restricted to the premaxilla and maxilla, although in some cases it partially covers the nasal process in some birds.
Using a balanced mixer a double side band signal is generated, this is then passed through a very narrow bandpass filter to leave only one side-band.Pappenfus, Bruene and Schoenike Single sideband principles and circuits McGraw-Hill, 1964, chapter 6 By convention it is normal to use the upper sideband (USB) in communication systems, except for amateur radio when the carrier frequency is below 10 MHz. There the lower side band (LSB) is normally used.
In the third and fourth instars the larva, with tissue- feeding mouthparts, feeds on the remaining tissues within the blotch-mine. When fully grown, it leaves the mine through an exit hole to pupate. In this stage the mine is tentiformed, with a strong longitudinal wrinkle on the lower side. Pupation takes place inside a whitish, boat-shaped cocoon which is usually located on the lower surface of the leaf near the apex.
See illustration for the front cover.Davenport. Accessed 21 January 2008. Davenport describes the back cover in the following manner: > On the lower side, on a groundwork of gold similar to that on the upper > cover, is a design of the Crucifixion. Our Saviour wears a red garment round > the loins, and round his head is a red and yellow nimbus, his feet being > crossed in a manner often seen in illuminations in ancient manuscripts.
Boronia safrolifera is an erect, woody shrub that typically grows to a height of with mostly hairless branches. The leaves are pinnate with mostly between seven and nineteen leaflets and long and wide in outline on a petiole long. It has two major industrial ventures: Kitengela glass, an artefacts manufacturer tucked away in the far- flung Tuala township area, and Tam feeds, an agro-processing industry located in Gataka. Ongata Rongai has been surrounded by Nairobi National Park on the lower side of Mbagathi River. Modern shopping centers are also evolving in Ongata Rongai such as; Maasai Mall, Bees Park, Geomerc Centre, Times Acade, Great Wide Mall etc. Ronkai also have major shops i.e.
El Carpio Power Station is situated on the lower side of a meander of the Guadalquivir, across from the dam. Also built in 1922, the plant uses three turbine generators to produce electricity. It belongs to Endesa, Spain's largest utility company. As a run-of-the-river power plant, which utilizes the natural flow of water, it has practically no water reserve; its generating capacity therefore depends on the condition of the river.
They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine has the form of a blotch mine occurring on the upper surface of the leaves, usually on veins. It is nearly circular in shape and blackish purple in colour. The upper epidermis of the mining part is strongly contorted to form a round dome, thus the lower side of the mine is longitudinally folded upwardly to form a round, dome-like mine-cavity.
Leptospermum deuense is a leafy, densely branched shrub that typically grows to about high. It has rough bark on the older stems, smooth bark with soft hairs on the younger stems. The leaves are glossy green on the upper surface, densely hairy on the lower side, elliptical to lance-shaped, long and wide. The flowers are white and are borne singly or in pairs on short side branches, and are about in diameter.
Banksia neoanglica is sometimes a multi-stemmed shrub with an underground lignotuber and growing to a height of , otherwise a tree to . The adult leaves have a petiole about long and a linear leaf blade long and wide. Immature leaves are wider but shorter and have teeth along their edges. The upper surface of the leaves is glabrous but the lower side is covered with a layer of greyish-white felted hairs.
Above the entrance is a large arched window similar to the lower side windows. The central projection is topped by a bell tower which rests on a dentil cornice. The arched openings of the tower are decorated with wooden fretwork and the original bell rests on its mount; the bell's mechanism still works. The tower is capped by a spire which once housed a lightning rod, but now ends in a ball.
The areoles, which normally have bristles which become stiffer with age, are where the flower buds appear. The flowers are held so that they are more or less horizontal; the upper side is different from the lower side (bilaterally symmetrical or zygomorphic). They are pink to purple in colour and about long with a diameter of . The inner petals are fused at the base to form a "floral tube", which is white.
Elephantopus elatus, common name tall elephantsfoot, is a North American species of flowering plant in the sunflower family. It is native to the southeastern United States from eastern Louisiana to South Carolina.Biota of North America Program 2014 county distribution map Elephantopus elatus is a perennial herb up to 70 cm (28 inches) tall. Leaves are oblanceolate, up to 20 cm (8 inches) long, darker on the upper side than they are on the lower side.
The courthouse was later rebuilt on the lower side of the square.Rice, Book of Chagford The source of the story is stated by WorthWorth, R.N.. History of Devonshire, London, 1895, p.322 to be "a scarce black-letter tract" entitled "The True Relation of the Accident at Chagford in Devonshire", which relates how "the market-house fell in presently after dinner upon a Tin Court daie and Mr Eveleigh the Steward with nine others died".
They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mines occur upon either the upper or lower surface of the leaves. In the upperside mines, the leaf is more contracted and the epidermis is thrown into more distinct folds than is the case in the lower side mines. The elongate white silken cocoon is attached at its posterior end by two fine threads, and at its anterior end by a rather broad band of silk.
The unusual turret pioneered the oscillating turret concept. It consisted of two half-cylinders inserted one into the other, while the lower cylinder was slanted obliquely, its elevated sides holding in its trunnions the upper half. Turret traverse was achieved by rotating the two half cylinders at the same time. Elevation of the gun was achieved through the vertical movement of the upper half cylinder pivoting relative to the lower side of the turret.
Shell is elliptical, solid, upper side convex and lower side flat. The reproductive system is diagnostic feature: Geomalacus anguiformis has atrial diverticulum shorter than spermatheca duct while Kerry slug Geomalacus maculosus has atrial diverticulum longer than spermatheca duct. Geomalacus anguiformis has penis long, vas deferens very thin, spermatheca oval with long duct. Geomalacus anguiformis differs from Geomalacus oliveirae in its atriopenis inserting at the prolongation of the atrial long axis (not laterally).
On the northern side either a lower side-aisle or a series of chapels was added. An incomplete transept-arm is still recognizable. In the first decades of the 16th century a new Gothic choir with an ambulatory was built, fit for the church's use by a chapter, which was demolished by the Protestants in ca. 1600. In about the same period the walls of the northern transept-arm were lowered and partly rebuilt.
The mine has the form of an irregular blotch mine. It is made on a young leaf and extends from the apex of the leaf towards the base in an irregular blotch along the margin of the leaf. The blackish frass is ejected from the holes which are made on the lower side of the mine, but some is scattered in the mine. The larva may migrate from one leaf to another.
The spring mine is deep brown, opaque and occupying the apical portion of the leaf, while the autumnal mine is pale green, semi-transparent and sometimes forming at the central portion of the leaf. The blackish grains of frass are scattered in the mine. The larva often migrates from one leaf to another. Full-grown larvae leave the mine and spin a hammock-like cocoon on the lower side of the leaf.
A crucifix window is located above this window, and a small crucifix surmounts the gable parapet. The central section of this elevation is flanked by paired buttresses which separate the lower side aisles. The side aisles each have a pointed arch entrance with timber doors surmounted by a crucifix window. The side aisles are framed by paired buttresses (originally a single buttress, with the second buttress added as part of the side arcade).
Boronia parviflora is a weak, low shrub that grows to a height of and has glabrous branchlets. The leaves are simple, sessile, elliptic to egg-shaped, long and wide with fine teeth along the edges. The leaves are sometimes reddish or purplish, especially on the lower side. The flowers are arranged singly or in groups of up to three in the upper leaf axils or on the ends of the branches, on a pedicel long.
Trailer skirts comprise a pair of panels affixed to the lower side edges of a trailer, running most of the length of the trailer and filling the gap between the forward and rear axles. Trailer skirts are typically constructed of aluminum, plastic, or fiberglass, with plastic the most resistant to damage from side or bottom impacts. Skirts may have a modular design, allowing installation on a variety of trailer lengths. Skirts may weigh between .
It is either coated with fine soft lacquer or velvet ( gadiba), and the same goes for the Y strap. The colour is usually either brown or black for the lacquered ones, but can vary substantially for the velvet slippers. Velvet sandals are traditionally worn at formal occasions like weddings. Burmese sandals do not have any grip or friction on the lower side of the sole, and are thus not suitable for use in wet conditions.
Upper and lower side of head The Russian sturgeon can grow to but a more normal size is . It has a relatively short and rounded snout with three pairs of unfringed barbels closer to the tip of the snout that to the mouth. The dorsal fin has 27 to 48 soft rays and the anal fin has 16 to 35. The number of scales along the lateral line varies from 21 to 50.

The vehicle was unveiled at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show.
Corybas despectans is a terrestrial, perennial, deciduous, herb with a single round or heart-shaped leaf long and wide. The leaf is green on the upper surface and silvery green on the lower side. There is a single erect, reddish purple flower with green or translucent areas, long and wide. The dorsal sepal is greenish grey, erect in the lower part then curves, long and wide and does not usually completely cover the labellum.
In 1933, researchers examinging Niš Fortress found stone inscription from above a doorway for Koprijan city. The item, 114 cm by 123 cm in size, is now in the collection of the exhibits of the National Museum in Niš. It was carved out of the white oval stone. The upper side of the stone is flat and the width of 26 cm, and the lower side of the back wall is 26 cm.
Corybas cerasinus is a terrestrial, perennial, deciduous, herb with a single heart-shaped leaf long and wide, lying flat on the ground. The leaf is bluish green on the upper surface and purplish on the lower side. There is a single erect, cherry red to dark maroon flower long and wide. The largest part of the flower is the dorsal sepal which is egg-shaped to oblong when flattened, long and wide.
From August 1976, a long-wheelbase version () with seating for seven to eight was produced. The limousine is built on an stretched W123 saloon/sedan chassis with lower side panels from the coupé behind the rear passenger doors. The elongated roof has the same C-pillar form as on the saloon/sedan. The rear passenger doors are custom-designed in rectangular shape and of the same length as the ones on the saloon/sedan.
Female moths lay a batch of eggs that ranges from 20–1,000 eggs on the lower side of a host plant's leaves. After the eggs are laid, female coats the eggs with scales from its abdomen. These spherical eggs show white to yellowish color and are 0.6 mm in diameter. These white-yellow color of the eggs turn black just before hatching due to the presence of black larval head near the transparent shell.
Thus the mechanical energy of the blades is transferred to the gas molecules. With this newly acquired momentum, the gas molecules enter into the gas transfer holes in the stator. This leads them to the next stage where they again collide with the rotor surface, and this process is continued, finally leading them outwards through the exhaust. Because of the relative motion of rotor and stator, molecules preferentially hit the lower side of the blades.
The renovation in 1895 also installed lime concrete reinforcement on the lower side of the wooden wall, and replaced the original coral gravel-layered floor with cement. The 1895 restoration was initiated by a local figure Hamid Iha. Several minor renovations was undertaken during the post-colonial period without changing its appearance. In 1977, the Armed Forces' Military Districts of the area, the Komando Daerah Militer XVI/Pattimura, installed fences along the periphery.
It is built between George Street and Richmond Street, and serves as one of the main lecture hall buildings in the campus (and will keep on doing so until 2018, when Strathclyde will go through with its vacating plans). Graham Hills is also one of the primary connections between the lower side buildings of the campus and the ones on the top of the hill.Front view of Graham Hills, as seen from George Street.
Flindersia maculosa is a tree that typically grows to a height of , developing from a tangled mass of spiny branches in the juvenile stage. The trunk is mottled due to the bark shedding in patches. The leaves are simple, arranged in opposite pairs, narrow oblong to lance-shaped or linear, long and wide on a petiole long. The upper surface of the leaf is shiny and dark green, the lower side dull and paler.
The chin, underparts and insides of the limbs are white. The cheeks and shoulders often have the hairs tipped with cinnamon, and there is a sharp dividing line between the colouring of the upper parts and the lower parts. The tail is slender, the upper side being dark and the lower side white, apart from the terminal portion which is white all round, often with a small tuft of white hairs at the tip.
The tail is grayish brown and there is scarcely any difference in color between the upper and lower side. The hindfeet are covered with thin pale hairs. Juvenile individuals are dark brown to blackish, with the underparts dark gray in color, except for the well-defined white patch at the chest. In 41 specimens, the total length ranges from , the head and body length from , the hindfoot length from , and the skull length from .

On the exterior, the R3 had a different, lower front bumper sporting a splitter, lower side sills, and a standard rear spoiler. There is a pair of special Recaro seats up front, along with the same 300-watt Bose audio system, along with Bluetooth and the Mazda advanced keyless entry and start system. No electric sunroof was offered in the R3 model.
The saffron darter, like many snubnose darters, has a blunt snout. Typically, nuptial males have a uniformly yellow lower side and olive upper side as compared to the black darter (Etheostoma duryi), which has an orange to red lower and upper side. 'The adult males have yellow to orange lips while E. duryi has green or gray lips. Lastly, the mid-lateral stripe pigmentation in the saffron darter is nearly as dark as the 7-9 black lateral blotches.
The mine is found on the upper side of the leaf and purely epidermal, narrowly linear, very long and tightly coiled in the beginning. Later, it wanders on the disc into an irregularly curved serpentine. The mine is whitish in appearance, with an irregularly interrupted, brownish line of frass in the centre. A pupal chamber is situated at the end of the mine, usually at the margin of leaf, with a swollen lower side and a wrinkled upper side.
It is a purely upper epidermal miner of leaves in the larval stage, and is pupated within a pupal chamber made inside the mine. The mine is linear, very long, irregularly curved, sometimes serpentine and transparently whitish in appearance, without any trace of frass. The pupal chamber is placed at the end of the mine either in the disc or at the margin of the leaf, ellipsoidal, with a swollen lower side and a wrinkled upper side.
Every Archimedean group has the property that, for every Dedekind cut of the group, and every group element ε > 0, there exists another group element x with x on the lower side of the cut and x + ε on the upper side of the cut. However, there exist non-Archimedean ordered groups with the same property. The fact that Archimedean groups are abelian can be generalized: every ordered group with this property is abelian.. Galtoceras is a cyrtoconic nautiloid from the Middle Silurian of North America, named by Foerste in 1934. Galtoceras is genus of the Oncocerida and of the oncocerid family Acleistoceratidae. As with the ascleistoceratids, the curvature is exogastric, such that the lower side, or venter, is on the outside curve. The shell is elongate and slender, wider than high, with a subventral, empty, cyrtochoanitic siphuncle, with segments somewhat expanded into chambers but abruptly narrowed at septal openings.
The areoles, which have brown wool and short bristles, are where the flower buds appear. The flowers are usually held slightly above the horizontal with the higher side different from the lower side (zygomorphic, specifically bilaterally symmetrical). They are purple in colour, about long by across. When ripe, the four-angled fruit is yellow-green with red tones, about long by wide, and contains about 150 dark brown or black seeds, each about with a diameter of about .
Impressions of anta capital and their size on the lower side of the beam point to existing of two columns and a probable rectangular gable above it. There is a possibility, due to the terrain, that the temple was actually dug into the slope. The original earthen and wooden fort stretched around the Studentski Trg and Knez Mihailova Street. The oldest Roman graves were discovered in this section, dated to the 1st and early 2nd century.
Elephantopus nudatus, common name smooth elephantsfoot, is a North American species of flowering plant in the sunflower family. When a pharyngeal flap is used, a flap of the posterior wall is attached to the posterior border of the soft palate. The flap consists of mucosa and the superior pharyngeal constrictor muscle. The muscle stays attached to the pharyngeal wall at the upper side (superior flap) or at the lower side (inferior flap). The function of the muscle is to obstruct the pharyngeal port at the moment that the pharyngeal lateral walls move towards each other.
Reilly's tenants, from 1867 to 1873, included an accountant, clergyman, and other professional gentlemen. Situated on the upper side of north George Street, the occupants of the houses enjoyed harbour views prior to the construction of the warehouses on the lower side of George Street. In July 1873, Reilly sold the land and dwellings to Thomas Wilton Eady, a leather merchant for the sum of . It appeared that Eady erected a large shed to the rear of the allotments.
They mine the leaves of their host plant. In early instars the larva makes a tentiform blotch-mine on the lower side of the leaf. When the leaf tissue has been consumed within the mine, the larva leaves the mine and migrates towards the edge of the same leaf or another, which it cuts off from the edge towards the midrib. This cut off edge is rolled up to form a cone on the underside of the leaf.
Zieria smithii is a shrub which grows to a height of and is sometimes robust or at other times spindly. Its leaves are composed of three leaflets with the middle leaflet oblong to lance-shaped long, and wide with a pointed tip. The upper surface of the leaflets is a darker green than the lower side, dotted with oil glands and mostly glabrous. The leaf stalk is long and the leaves are strongly aromatic when crushed.
Amoxicillin and doxycycline are suitable for many of the lower respiratory tract infections seen in general practice. Another cochrane review suggests that new studies are needed to confirm that azithromycin may lead to less treatment failure and lower side effects than amoxycillin. In the other hand, there is no sufficient evidence to consider the antibiotics as a prophlaxis for the high risk children under 12 years. Oxygen supplementation is often recommended for people with severe lower respiratory tract infections.
Phebalium squamulosum is a shrub that typically grows to a height of , sometimes a slender tree to . It has smooth branchlets covered with rust-coloured scales. The upper surface of the leaves is more or less glabrous but the lower side is covered with silvery to rust-coloured scales and star- shaped hairs.
It was used as such until the 17th century. The head of the Roman building, as the hermitage of Santa María de Abajo ("Saint Mary of the lower side"), lasted until around 1920 when it was dynamited to serve as construction material for the modern town. Its decoration shows the power of the patron. There were plates of marble, red porphyry, and green serpentinite, wall painting, opus sectile and mosaics with glass and golden-leaf tiles.
Boronia alulata is an erect shrub that grows to a height of with many branches covered with dense white to yellow, star-shaped hairs but which become glabrous with age. The lower side of the wings is pale to dark gray with white and dark markings, an orange patch on the margin of each forewing, and an orange spot with a black center on the hindwing near the tail. It has a wingspan of .
The upper part consists of a concrete cupola-type vault that rests on two rows of supports. Marble is used for the lower side of the support on the interior and gray granite on the platforms. On the apex of each "cupola" is a glazed crown which provides natural lighting during daytime. Between the supports are large glazed openings, leading to a more common and unofficial local name podlodka (submarine), after the craft that it resembles.
Philotheca sericea is a shrub that typically grows to a height of with moderately hairy branchlets. The leaves are fleshy, oval to elliptical, , flat on the top and rounded on the lower side. There is a single sparkling white or pinkish flower long and wide which leans downwards. The largest part of the flower is the dorsal sepal which is curved and inflated, long and wide.
The leaves are a distinctive mottled, dark green colour, with a smooth surface (though juvenile plants' leaves are rough). The leaves of fully grown plants are often channeled on the upper side, with sharp edges, and (like its relatives) a keel on their lower side. The erectly-branched inflorescence is often over a meter in height, with pink- green flowers and appears between November and February. The specific epithet, excelsa, means "lofty" or "high" in Latin.
The newly hatched larvae up to third-instar mainly feed on the lower side of the leaves but the later instar larvae feed on both sides. S. littoralis larvae in general are known to feed in the dark. It also has been observed that larvae up to their third and fourth-instar usually remain in their host plant but fifth and sixth-instar larvae leave the host plant during the day and climb back up at night.
The receiver is made from stamped sheet steel with a hinged cover. The Jatimatic lacks an integrated folding stock common for this class of firearm; the weapon is instead fired unsupported from the hip or raised arm, without resting the firearm on the shooter's shoulder. However, separately sold stocks were available which fasten to the lower side of the pistol grip and give it much greater accuracy, while also protecting the rear sight from being bent or broken.
Eucalyptus major is a tree that typically grows to a height of and forms a lignotuber. It has smooth, blotched greyish bark that is shed in large plates or flakes. Young plants and coppice regrowth have egg-shaped leaves that are a lighter shade of green on the lower side, long and wide. Branch of sycamore tree affected by C. depraedans The fungus develops on the surface of the leaf blades. At first there are scattered water-soaked grey spots about in diameter, but as the disease progresses, these lesions expand and coalesce and much of the leaf surface may be affected. Fruiting bodies resembling tiny white pinheads develop on either the upper or lower side (or both) of the leaf, particularly near the veins. Small black sclerotia may also form.
Boronia deanei is an erect, glabrous shrub which grows to a height of and has slightly angled branches with scattered small warts. The flowers are arranged in groups of between three and seven in the upper leaf axils, the groups usually shorter than the leaves.
Inefficient labour markets are caused by mismatches between available jobs and the unemployed and an immobile labour force. The position on the curve can indicate the current state of the economy in the business cycle. For example, recessionary periods are indicated by high unemployment and low vacancies, corresponding to a position on the lower side of the 45° line, and high vacancies and low unemployment indicate the expansionary periods on the upper side of the 45° line.
Eriochilus scaber is a terrestrial, perennial, deciduous, herb with an underground tuber and a single glabrous, yellowish green leaf which is egg-shaped to almost round. Up to three red, pink and white flowers, about long and wide are borne on a thin green stem, tall. The dorsal sepal is egg-shaped with the narrower end towards the base, long and wide. The lateral sepals are broadly lance-shaped, long, wide and hairy on the lower side.
The conning tower was protected by of armour on its face and eight inches on its rear. The deck armour inside the central citadel ranged from 1 to 1.5 inches in thickness. Outside the citadel, the lower deck was three inches thick and sloped to meet the lower side of the belt armour. Naval historian R. A. Burt assessed the greatest weakness of their armour scheme as the reduction in the thickness of the barbette armour below the upper deck.
In 1988, a more advanced fully electronic fuel injection system became available. This arrangement is known as the Digifant engine management system. Volkswagen Jetta 2 door saloon (European specification) Like the Mark 1, the second generation was offered as a two-door or four-door sedan. External changes throughout the series' run were few: the front-quarter windows were eliminated in 1988 (along with a grille and door trim change), and larger body-colored bumpers and lower side skirts were added from 1990.
Farm house at Old Farm 2015 Farm house side view 2015 Vegetable patch at Strawberry Hill The Old Farm is located on Strawberry Hill in the suburb of Mira Mar in Albany, Western Australia. It is known as being the first farm in Western Australia. The hill on which the property is situated rises to a height of and is a spur of Mount Clarence. The soil is a mixture of clay and gravel with rich black loam on the lower side.
They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine has the form of a tentiform blotch-mine occurring on the lower side of the leaf, usually on the space between lateral veins or sometimes along the leaf margin. It is oblong and 1.5 to 2 mm long and has a contracted lower epidermis with two or three longitudinal wrinkles. The lateral margins of the mine are sometimes united with each other to form a cylindrical chamber in the mine- cavity.
They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine has the form of a linear-blotch mine on the lower side of food plant. The linear part of the mine is made by the young larva and is epidermal and is usually running from the median area near the midvein to the leaf-edge with an irregularly curved trace. The blotchy part is elongated along the leaf-edge, with parenchymal tissues within this part almost eaten by the larva.
Finally, the leaf-edge at the blotchy part is narrowly folded down causing the lower epidermis to shrink over the mining part. The full-grown larva emerges from the mine to make a cocoon outside. The cocoon is usually placed on the lower side of the leaf, mostly at the side of the mid or lateral vein. It is boat-shaped, whitish, partly stained by grains of frass and covered by five to seven bars of silken threads, without bubbles or globules.

2609 Through this technique, the lower-side belt armour was used to strengthen the hull structure of the entire vessel. In total, the vessels of the Yamato class contained 1,147 watertight compartments, of which 1,065 were beneath the armoured deck. The ships were also designed with a very large amount of reserve buoyancy to mitigate the effects of flooding. However, despite the immense armour thickness, the protection scheme of the Yamato class still suffered from several major design flaws and shortcomings.
Boronia ledifolia is a shrub which grows to a height of and has its thinnest branches covered with fine, matted hairs. The leaves are usually simple but may also be pinnate with from three to seven leaflets. The leaves or leaflets are narrow elliptic or oblong in shape, long and wide. They are dark green and glabrous on the upper surface and a lighter green with a thin layer of matted hairs on the lower side where there is a distinct mid- vein.
Like most other vittarioid ferns, members of the genus have simple, straplike leaves. The rhizome has a distinct upper and lower side, lacking radial symmetry. Leaves are borne in two ranks in a single plane and lack a costa (midrib), unlike Scoliosorus. The leaves have netlike venation, with three or more rows of areolae ("gaps" in the net of veins) on either side of the midline, with the exception of A. bivittata, which has two to three freely branching veins.
Regalecus russelii can grow up to 8 meters in length, and it has two dorsal fin crests that can reach 1 meter high. The species can be distinguished by its red dorsal fin crests, light brown head, and scaleless, silver body. The body is covered by dermal tubercles, which are concentrated along the ventral and lower side regions of the body. Each dorsal fin has 333 to 371 rays, which shorten and then become longer at the middle of the body.
Angophora inopina is a tree, often multi-stemmed, that typically grows to a height of and forms a lignotuber. It has greyish, fibrous bark on the trunk and branches. Young plants and coppice regrowth have more or less sessile, egg-shaped to lance- shaped leaves that are long, wide and arranged in opposite pairs. Adult leaves are also arranged in opposite pairs, leathery, usually glossy green but paler on the lower side, lance-shaped or curved, long and wide on a petiole long.
Eucalyptus kitsoniana is a tree or mallee that typically grows to a height of and forms a lignotuber. The blade is usually bipinnate (cut into pinnae and pinnules) to bipinnate-pinnatifid (cut into pinnae and lobed pinnules) at the base. The rachis (leaf axis) is rounded on the upper side and dark in color. It bears twisted hairs tightly pressed to it on the upper side, and scattered, spreading, straight hairs on the lower side; no scales are present. The pinnae are not jointed at the base, and the dark pigmentation of the rachis enters the edge of the pinnae.
McPherson County Map; KDOT. It flows through Durham then into the Marion Reservoir. The South Cottonwood also starts near the west line of Marion County, flows southward about 1 mile west of Lehigh, then flows eastward about 2 miles south of Hillsboro, then northeast towards the lower side of the Marion Reservoir. The North and South Cottonwood join about 1 mile southeast of the Marion Reservoir to become the North Fork Cottonwood River, before flowing through the city of Marion.
They are arranged in a dense apical rosette and are spreading to recurved, firm linear-lanceolate, with a grey-green surface; each leaf's margins and lower side are armed with lines of small, reddish teeth, a feature common in the genus Aloe. The distinguishing features of this species therefore include: yellow-orange flowers that are bent to almost 90 degrees; racemes that are large, tall and tapering to a point; narrow spreading or recurved leaves, arranged in a relatively untidy rosette.
On Wednesday, June 16, 2010, a controlled release began after engineers noticed silt coming out of the lower side of the dam. Residents were informed to loosen the ropes to their boats because the lake was going to be lowered two feet. Town officials later told residents the lake may have to be lowered as much as nine feet to inspect the dam. Overnight a sinkhole developed at the base of the dam and the lake water drained underneath the foundation.
The lower part of Clifton was undeveloped until 1903, when it was subdivided into 93 sections and put up for auction, as far up the hill as Tuawera Terrace, which was originally known as Victoria Terrace. The land further up the hill was subdivided in 1908. A lower side spur, originally known as Lower Clifton, was bought in 1901 by Samuel Hurst Seager. Seager landscaped and divided the section into 12 plots and it was sold under the name The Spur in 1914.
Eucalyptus propinqua is a tree that typically grows to a height of and forms a lignotuber. It has smooth mottled grey, cream-coloured and yellowish bark that is shed in strips. Young plants and coppice regrowth have stems that are square in cross section and leaves that are a paler shade on the lower surface, long, wide and petiolate. Adult leaves are a paler shade of green on the lower side, lance-shaped to curved, long and wide, tapering to a petiole long.
The claws are sharp and short. The coat color varies throughout the range and at different times of the year. Several shades such as tawny olive, wood brown and yellowish tawny have been reported for the upper part of the coat and the upper side of the tail, while the underparts and the lower side of the tail have been observed to be buff, tawny or brownish yellow. Some individuals have a black stripe running along the midline of the back.
The left i1 GSI/SR/PAL-N210 is flat on the medial side (towards the middle of the head) but convex on the lateral side (towards the side of the head) and bears a shallow groove on the lateral side. At the base, the tooth is broadest on the lower end. The tooth is slightly curved upward towards the tip. Measured on the lower side, the tooth is 11.76 mm long, but breakage means the true length is probably larger.
The larva is greenish with some fuscous marks on the head and the cervical shield. It feeds beneath a web on apical parts of the leaf of the host plant. The leaf is partially eaten on a transverse line on the lower side. The apical portion then bends down and this is the part on which the larva feeds, eating off the under surface and leaving the extreme apical portion rolled and spun together for a retreat which eventually becomes filled with frass.
The body of A. pacificus is pinkish brown dark brown, usually grading to yellowish or orange on lower side of body including abdomen. It is a member of the skunk complex with the characteristic white stripe along the dorsal ridge line, from the midline of the snout through to the base of caudal fin. The fins are whitish to semi-translucent. It has 9 dorsal spines, 2 anal spines, 18-20 dorsal soft rays and 12-13 anal soft rays.
Prostanthera discolor is an open, erect, aromatic, often compact shrub that typically grows to a height of and has hairy, glandular branches. The leaves are dull, dark green, paler on the lower side, mostly glabrous, lance-shaped to more or less oblong, long and wide on a petiole long. Christmas tree pattern on a Cyclamen coum leaf Cyclamen coum - lower side of a leaf Leaves sprout from growing points or floral trunks on top of the tuber. Each leaf grows on its own stem. Leaf stems in early growth may be distinguished from flower stems by the direction their tips curl: tips of leaf stems curl upwards, while tips of flower stems curl downwards. The shape of the leaves varies between the species, and even between different specimens of the same species.
Corybas acuminatus is a terrestrial, perennial, deciduous, herb with a single triangular to heart-shaped leaf up to long and wide with a sharply pointed tip. The leaf is light green on the upper surface and silvery with red veins on the lower side. A single more or less translucent flower with dull red striations arises directly above the leaf. The largest part of the flower is the dorsal sepal which is up to long with a long, horizontal, thread-like tip.
Although today the shape is generally in the form of an equilateral triangle, early instruments were often formed as non-equilateral isosceles triangles. In the early days the triangles did not have an opening and had jingling rings along the lower side. Early examples of triangles include ornamental work at the open end, often in a scroll pattern. Historically, the triangle has been manufactured from a solid iron and later steel rod and bent into a triangular shape roughly equilateral.
Geitoneura klugii, the common xenica or Klug's xenica, is a species of butterfly belonging to the family Nymphalidae."Geitoneura Butler, 1867" at Markku Savela's Lepidoptera and Some Other Life Forms It is a southern Australian butterfly that is easily camouflaged because of its resemblance to the ground where it is usually found fluttering. It has a wingspan of about . The upper and lower side of the forewing is black with brownish-black markings and contains a black spot with a white centre.
Open channel flow describes cases where flowing liquid has a top surface open to the air; the cross-section of the flow is only determined by the shape of the channel on the lower side, and is variable depending on the depth of liquid in the channel. Techniques appropriate for a fixed cross-section of flow in a pipe are not useful in open channels. Measuring flow in waterways is an important open-channel flow application; such installations are known as stream gauges.
Below this is a hardly concave furrow, on the lower side of which the whorls are angulated by the projection of the tubercles. The lower part of the whorls is very obsoletely marked with broad flat spiral threads, which may be traced to the tip of the snout. Colour: pale waxy white, whence the name. The spire is conical, with profile-lines interrupted by the prominence of the keel, from which both above and below is a contraction into the suture.
Zieria montana is an open, compact shrub which grows to a height of and has erect, wiry branches with conspicuous ridges. The leaves are composed of three elliptic to egg-shaped leaflets with the central one, long and wide, the leaves with a stalk long. The leaflets are glabrous except for a few scattered hairs on the lower side along the mid-vein. The flowers are white, tinged with pink and are arranged in upper leaf axils in groups of 10 to 20.
This also allowed for cost savings, as the reels could be used twice. The cables were spun using air spinning with controlled tension, which allowed spinning with little space and with a crew with limited spinning experience.Hauge: 80 This involved installing a carrier which shuttles forward and back over the catwalk; it spins the upper side of the cable in the one direction and the lower side in the other direction. The system has two reel racks, each with four reels of wire.
Born in Akosombo, Eghan started his career with Akosombo-based Football Academie Golden Boot Academy. He joined than in the summer of 2010 to Swedish lower side IFK Klagshamn, which loaned him for a half year, to the reserve side of Malmö FF. He played three years with Klagshamn and moved in January 2013 to Jong Twente. On 28 April 2013, Eghan made his debut for FC Twente in the match against NEC. In 2019, he signed for Al-Zawraa in Iraq.
Thelasis carinata is an epiphytic or lithophytic herb with thin roots and flattened stems long in groups of between two and six. Each stem has between three and six dark green, narrow oblong leaves long and wide. The leaves have a ridge on their lower side and their lower end sheaths the stem. Between six and fifteen green and white resupinate flowers long and wide are arranged along a thin but stiff flowering stem long emerging from a leaf axil.
The mine in this stage is completely changed in colour to pale brown, and slightly contorted on the upper epidermis with silken threads. After the moult, the fourth instar larva emerges from the mine through a round hole, and migrates to the margin of the same leaf or another one. It cuts a strip of the leaf along the margin and rolls up the strip into a cone on the lower side of the leaf. Then the larva continues to feed inside the cone.
In the bony roof of the mesopterygoid fossa, the opening behind the palate, wide sphenopalatine vacuities (openings) are present. A thin alisphenoid strut (a piece of bone on the lower side of the skull separating two foramina) is present in specimens from Marojejy, but not in those from Anjanaharibe-Sud. The tegmen tympani, the roof of the tympanic cavity, is reduced. The root of the lower incisor is visible at the back of the mandible (lower jaw) as a slight protrusion; a true capsular process is absent.
Cistus clusii is a much branched shrub, up to tall. Its leaves are narrowly linear in shape, usually long by wide, with edges that are turned under (revolute), green on the upper side and densely covered with short hairs on the lower side, producing a whitish appearance. The flowers are arranged in an umbel-like cymes with up to 12 individual flowers, each across with five white petals and three sepals, long. The flower stalks (peduncles and pedicels) and the sepals are covered with long white hairs.
Asterolasia pallida is a woody, perennial herb that typically grows to a height of about and sometimes forms a rhizome. The leaves are elliptical, long and covered with star-shaped hairs on the lower side. The flowers are arranged in umbels of three to six in leaf axils and on the ends of branchlets, each flower on a thin pedicel long. The petals are white, elliptical, long, with rust-coloured and colourless, star-shaped hairs on the back, and there are fifteen to twenty-five stamens.
In India, the film opened with a massive (US$6,356,688), which was the third-highest weekend net for a Bollywood film, behind 3 Idiots and Ghajini. It recorded the third- highest first day business across India, behind 3 Idiots and Ghajini at the time of release. The film broke the record of Race for the biggest opening weekend in the first quarter of the year. The film was reported to have done very well in multiplexes, but comparatively on the lower side in single screens.
Oocerina is an extinct genus of nautiloid cephalopods that lived during the Late Silurian of Europe, Russia, and North America. Oocerina, included in the oncoerid family Oncoceratidae and arbitrarily within the Slender Oncoceratidae, is characterized by a moderately slender, elongate shell with an exogastric curvature, such that the lower side with the siphuncle is convex in profile and the opposite, upper, side is concave in profile. Shells are laterally compressed, curvature is gentle to almost straight. Chambers are short, septa close spaced, sutures typically straight.
Eucalyptus pyrocarpa is a tree that typically grows to a height of but does not form a lignotuber. It has rough, short fibrous to stringy, greyish brown bark on the trunk and larger branches, smooth white to grey bark above that is often shed in ribbons. Young plants and coppice regrowth have stems that are more or less square in cross-section, glaucous, sessile and arranged in opposite pairs. The juvenile leaves are lance-shaped, a lighter shade of green on the lower side, long and wide.
The hills there constituted the left flank of KPA II Corps. If the North Koreans lost this ground their advanced positions in the 5th Cavalry Regiment zone eastward along the Taegu highway would become untenable. The tactical importance of Hill 268 and related positions was made the greater by reason of the gap in the KPA line to the south. At the lower side of this gap the British 27th Infantry Brigade held vital blocking positions just above strong forces of the KPA 10th Division.
In this detail from a 1692 map, the Boston peninsula is near the upper left, the Charlestown peninsula is at the top, and Castle Island is visible to the lower left. Fort Mary can be seen on the lower side of the Boston peninsula. At about 5 a.m. on April 18, militia companies began gathering outside Boston at Charlestown just across the Charles River, and at Roxbury, located at the far end of the neck connecting Boston to the mainland. At about 8 a.m.
Eucalyptus alaticaulis is a tree or mallee growing to a height of about with rough, grey, fibrous bark on the lower part of the trunk and main stems. The leaves on young plants are arranged in opposite pairs, broadly lance-shaped to egg- shaped, up to long, wide and glossy green but a lighter shade on the lower side. The adult leaves are lance-shaped, long and mostly wide and have a longer petiole than the juvenile leaves. They are the same colour on both surfaces.
On the oral (lower) side the mouth leads to an eversible stomach but there is no gut or anus. There is a single row of tube feet circling the mouth and these number up to 110 while X. medusiformis has fewer than 65. The females grow to about in diameter and the males to . All the embryos found in the females were small, less than 180 μm in diameter, and it seems unlikely that this species broods its young in the same way that X. medusiformis does.
An adult Griffis angelfish is an ashy white with a solid black band from the head to the lower side of the caudal peduncle, and has another contrasting white band running within the black. A quarter-sized black spot marks the back of the head, though finer black dots may also appear near the head. The dorsal fin is primarily black, while the anal and pelvic fins are white. Juvenile angelfish of this species have more contrasting colors and lack the smaller black dots.
MTD handmade American basses come in 35 inch-scale 4-, 5-, 6-, and 7-string models and are available in a variety of configurations. Necks are made from maple or ash with a rosewood fingerboard. Wood bodies are made from medium weight ash, domestic tulip wood (aka Eastern yellow poplar), alder, and mahogany. MTD bodies and necks are ergonomically carved to allow access to the instrument's extended scale and feature an asymmetrical neck, a design where the neck is thinner on the lower side than the upper.
Like many other Penicillium species, P. commune is able to grow in temperatures resembling that of the refrigerator. However, the optimum temperature for the species is 25°C while the maximum limit is 37°C. The minimal water activities (aw) for germination and growth for P. commune is 0.83aw which is near the lower side for fungal growth as most fungal activity is inhibited at 0.70aw or less. The fungus species shows no sign of growth in environments consisting of 20% CO2 and less than 5% O2.

The details are listed on the National Astronomy Week website. The event was widely announced in the UK, for example in Astronomy & Geophysics magazine, and there is also information on the NAW Twitter pageNAW on Twitter and on Facebook.NAW on Facebook A special event radio station, call sign GB1NAW, transmitted from Lockyer Technology Centre during National Astronomy Week (and the week preceding), between 7.060 MHz and 7.200 MHz LSB (Lower Side Band) during daylight hours and between 3.600 MHz and 3.800 MHz LSB after dusk.
At the center of the lower wing is the fuselage, made of steel tube. The lower side member is a lattice beam to which the carriages are anchored, the tie rods for stiffening the lower wing and the bombs. On the left side, two doors allowed access inside the fuselage: in the piloting position and at another place behind the wing. The two pilot seats were wide, at the top and in front of the front side member of the wing, separated by a short ladder.
The monks use this once a year, at the celebration of the Ascension of Christ, as a tent over the entrance of the catholicon. The so-called Cross of Pulcheria lies at the catholicon's altar, which also houses cases of holy relics and a very important Byzantine mosaic icon. The icon is barely 0.15×0.07 m2 and depicts Christ in a standing position in great detail. The icon is surrounded by a silver frame that depicts the apostles, while holy relics are embedded on its lower side.
Philotheca scabra is a shrub that grows to a height of with more or less bristly stems. The leaves are sessile, long and either more or less cylindrical and folded lengthwise or narrow oblong-elliptic and concave on the lower side. The flowers are borne singly on the ends of branchlets on a peduncle long and a pedicel long with two pairs of tiny bracteoles at the base. There are five fleshy, semicircular sepals about long, five elliptical white to pink petals long and ten stamens.
Her hull was only 45 percent complete by that time, with structural work complete up to the lower deck and most of her machinery installed. The main deck, lower side armor, and upper side armor around the ship's magazines had been completely installed, and the forward barbettes for the main guns were also nearly finished. The navy decided that Shinano would become a heavily armored support carrierGarzke & Dulin, p. 78—carrying reserve aircraft, fuel and ordnance in support of other carriers—rather than a fleet carrier.
The wingspan is . Adults are on wing from late May to June in western Europe. The larvae feed on Agrimonia, Alnus, Betula, Carpinus betulus, Castanea sativa, Cornus, Corylus avellana, Crataegus, Cydonia oblonga, Filipendula ulmaria, Fragaria vesca, Humulus lupulus, Lonicera, Lythrum, Malus sylvestris, Mespilus germanica, Potentilla, Prunus spinosa, Pyrus communis, Rhamnus catharticus, Ribes, Rosa, Rubus, Sanguisorba, Sorbus, Staphylea pinnata, Symphoricarpos albus, Tilia, Ulmus and Viburnum species. They create a brownish lobe case that lies almost flat on the leaf, either at the upper or at the lower side.
Philotheca pungens is an undershrub that typically grows to a height of but often lies on the ground. The leaves are linear to narrow oblong or needle-like, long, flat on the upper surface but prominently keeled on the lower side. The flowers are usually arranged singly in leaf axils on a pedicel long with lance-shaped bracteoles at the base. The sepals are fleshy, more or less round, about long and the petals are egg-shaped, about long and white, sometimes pink on the back.
Some antihypertensive agents are also used to treat tics; studies show variable efficacy but a lower side effect profile than the neuroleptics. The antihypertensives clonidine and guanfacine are typically tried first in children; they can also help with ADHD symptoms, but there is less evidence that they are effective for adults. The neuroleptics risperidone and aripiprazole are tried when antihypertensives are not effective, and are generally tried first for adults. The most effective medication for tics is haloperidol, but it has a higher risk of side effects.
The centerboard boasts an impressive draft when down and retracts by swinging aft on a pivot. The rig is supported by one set of upper side stays and one set of lower side stays, along with a forestay integrated into the roller furling jib. There is no backstay, and as a result the stern remains quite clear most of the time. Controls for the cunningham and boomvang are led back to the skipper under a removable spine that keeps them from becoming tangled in Jib Spinnaker sheets.
Eucalyptus phoenix is a mallee that typically grows to a height of and forms a lignotuber. It has smooth white to light grey bark that is shed in thin strips and plates. Young plants and coppice regrowth have dull, light green to bluish leaves that are slightly paler on the lower side, egg-shaped to more or less round, long and wide. Adult leaves are the same shade of shiny green on both sides, lance-shaped to egg-shaped, long and wide on a petiole long.
Eucalyptus rummeryi is a tree that typically grows to a height of and forms a lignotuber. It has rough, fibrous or flaky, grey to black bark on the trunk and branches. Young plants and coppice regrowth have stems that are square in cross-section and leaves that are dull green, paler on the lower side, egg-shaped to lance-shaped, long and wide and petiolate. Adult leaves are glossy green, paler on the lower surface, lance-shaped to curved, long and wide tapering to a petiole long.
In ice hockey, a stay-at-home defenceman, also known as defensive defencemen or shutdown defencemen, is a defenceman who plays a very defensive-first game. Because these players are focused on defending rather than attacking, their offensive statistics tend to be on the lower side of average. These players usually play with a more physical style and are often used to neutralize the opposing team's offensive players by landing strong hits and blocking shots. Stay-at-home defencemen normally are put in penalty kill situations.
This also allowed for cost savings, as the reels could be used two times.
The Bhadawari buffaloes are medium- sized, copper-colored and grayish black animals, with two white lines at the lower side of the neck, which is a distinct feature of these buffaloes. The horns are curled slightly outwards, parallel to the neck with the tips curled upwards. They are known to be more resistant to disease and the effects of heat than other buffalo breeds, which makes them ideal for a domesticated draught animal.1- Arora, R., Vijh, R., Lakhchaura, B., Prasad, R., & Tantia, M. (2004).
Zieria tuberculata is a shrub which grows to a height of and has warty branches and leaves which are also covered with star-like hairs, usually visible only with a magnifier. The leaves are composed of three narrow leaflets with the central one, long and wide with a stalk long. The leaflets are dull green on the upper surface, whitish and warty on the lower side. The flowers are creamy-white and are arranged in upper leaf axils in large groups of up to 200.
The deltopectoral crest—where the deltoid muscle was attached to the upper front of the humerus—is developed to the lower side from the upper half of the humerus, and its bottom extension has a total width diameter of the humeral shaft ratio of 1.67. The lateral border of the deltopectoral crest is very thick towards the bottom border. However, as a whole, this crest is relatively shortened in length. In cross- section, the humeral shaft is elliptical in shape and gently flattened to the lateral surface.
Formation of a metamorphic core complex Metamorphic core complexes are exposures of deep crust exhumed in association with largely amagmatic extension. They form, and are exhumed, through relatively fast transport of middle and lower continental crust to the Earth's surface. During this process, high-grade metamorphic rocks (eclogite-, granulite- to amphibolite- facies) are exposed below low-angle detachment faults (and mylonitic shear zones) that show ductile deformation on the lower side (footwall) with amphibolite- to greenschist-facies syndeformational metamorphism, and ductile- brittle to brittle deformation on the upper-side (hanging-wall) with tilted geometries.
Ophiclinus antarcticus, the Adelaide snake blenny (or Dusky snake blenny ), is a species of clinid found in the coastal waters of southern Australia. It can reach a maximum length of TL. It often has dark blotches and speckles on its body and fins, with a series of large white blotches along the midside, dorsal-fin base and just above the anal-fin base. It also has several dark stripes that often radiate from its eyes and dark brown markings on the lips and lower side of the head.
Banksia neoanglica, commonly known as New England banksia is a shrub or small tree with leaves that are greenish on the upper surface, whitish with soft hairs on the lower side and spikes of flowers with styles that turn black as they open. It is similar to Banksia spinulosa and was formerly known as Banksia spinulosa var. neoanglica, but differs in that its leaves are wider and have margins that are not tightly turned under. It is found mainly along the eastern edge of the Great Dividing Range.
The upper floor is characterized by a loggia to give light to the panoramic room with arches closed by windows interrupted by a niche. A large panoramic terrace is located on the west side of the villa. It is furnished with two large flowerbeds under which there is an exedra fountain with a semi- dome cap decorated with rays to simulate a shell. On the lower side of this facade of the building, there are thermal windows that recall those used by Andrea Palladio in Villa Foscari, called the "Malcontenta".
In the Western world about 35% of people have diverticulosis while it affects less than 1% of those in rural Africa, and 4 to 15% of those may go on to develop diverticulitis. In North America and Europe the abdominal pain is usually on the left lower side (sigmoid colon), while in Asia it is usually on the right (ascending colon). The disease becomes more frequent with age, being particularly common in those over the age of 50. It has also become more common in all parts of the world.
Eucalyptus angophoroides grows to a height of with rough, flaky or fibrous bark on its trunk and larger branches and is usually mottled grey and white. The thinner branches sometimes have similar rough bark or smooth white or grey bark that is shed in short ribbons. The leaves on young plants are arranged in opposite pairs, broadly egg-shaped to heart-shaped or almost round, dull, dark green with a lighter shade on the lower side and lack a stalk. Adult leaves are arranged alternately, lance-shaped, long and wide on a petiole long.
Mothers lay their eggs in circular deposits on the abaxial (lower) side of leaves; eggs are "attached at a slight angle and covered with frass". The species goes through five instars in its life cycle, and the fifth instar and adult form were included as figures in Fink (1915). The developmental process from egg to adult takes about 20 days, the nymphal stage taking about 10 days. Fink noticed that the nymphs have spines, though he was not entirely sure why (more recent work has shed light on their function).
Elephantopus carolinianus, common names Carolina elephantsfoot or leafy elephant's foot, is a species of flowering plant in the sunflower family. It is native to the United States from Florida north as far as Ohio, Illinois, and Pennsylvania, west to Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas.Biota of North America Program 2014 county distribution map Elephantopus carolinianus is a perennial herb sometimes as much as 120 cm (4 feet) tall. Leaves are elliptic or ovate to lanceolate, up to 12 cm (5 inches) long, darker on the upper side than they are on the lower side.
A transverse S-shaped mark is found beyond the middle towards the dorsum, but not reaching it. A discal dot is found at three-fourths and there is an irregular transverse line from about three-fourths of the costa to the tornus, curved outwards from near the costa to three-fourths, whence a sharp projection proceeds to touch the lower side of the preceding discal dot. There is also a slender streak along the termen. The hindwings are white and thinly scaled with the costa and apical fourth fuscous, darker towards the apex.
He came to Muhammad in the deputation from Muzaynah in 627, and carried the banner for Muzaynah on the day of the Muslim Conquest of Mecca in 630. About Ibn al-Harith it is narrated in the book of hadith, Sunan Abi Da'ud, Book 19: > [Muhammad] assigned as a fief to Bilal ibn Harith al-Muzani the mines of al- > Qabaliyyah, on both the upper and lower side. The narrator, Ibn an-Nadr, > added: "also Jars and Dhat an-Nusub." The agreed version reads: "and (the > land) which is suitable for cultivation at Quds".
The place is important in demonstrating the course, or pattern, of cultural or natural history in New South Wales. This pair of fine large houses are associated with the merchant class in residence in The Rocks in the middle of the nineteenth century. The occupants, situated on the upper side of north George Street, enjoyed harbour views prior to the construction of the warehouses on the lower side of George Street. The place is important in demonstrating aesthetic characteristics and/or a high degree of creative or technical achievement in New South Wales.

Additionally on some areas a black layer is present, possibly consisting of organic remains or bacterial mats. A part of the lower trunk flank shows rows of small hexagonal, non-overlapping, convex scales, two to seven millimetres in diameter. Higher on the flank two rosette structures are visible with larger central scales, one being twenty by ten millimetres in size, the other ten by eight millimetres. Apart from the scales, an impression of the lower side of a back plate has been found, covering about two hundred square centimetres.
The fur colour of Pseudomys shortridgei is warm brown at the upper side, flecked with buff and blackish tones for an overall grey-brown effect. Under-parts of the pelage are distinctly paler, including the marked contrast at lower side of the tail. The regular hair of specimens are a slate colour for most of the length, and tipped with a clay brown tone at the upper quarter of the shaft. Dark guard hairs cover the upper portions of the body and give the heath mouse a fluffy appearance.
Dukinfield Town Hall was built in the late 1890s and opened in 1901. It was built by raising funds from the inception of the Borough of Dukinfield. The park was also made and cost the same amount of money as the town hall. There is an 80 ft difference between the King Street lower side and the rear of the park, being the first hill off the Cheshire Plain, and on a clear day it is possible to stand at the top of the steps and see Manchester city centre.
Built with a hall church design, a method introduced to Spain by Cistercian monks, it is composed of three buildings, a wider central and two lateral ones. The laterals are unusual in that their height is different from the central plant in some sections. The structure of the hall church is rectangular with framed side chapels between the buttresses, surmounted by drainage gargoyles, which support the side walls. In the header and in the first two sections, including the lower side aisles, the abutments are complemented by buttresses.
Its dorsum is of buff-brown colour with a dark stripe between the eyes; a dark stripe extends medially from its interorbital region to its vent. It possesses two light-coloured, yellowish-cream longitudinal stripes extending along its dorsolateral region, on either side of its body, which are bordered on the lower side by black dots; a broad dark band extends from below the snout along the tympanum as well, up to the middle of the animal's flank, where it morphs into a pale patch covered in vermiculations.
Because thermal probes support their weight on the ice at the bottom of the borehole, they lean slightly out of the vertical, and this means they have a natural tendency to stray away from a vertical borehole towards the horizontal. Various methods have been proposed to address this. A cone-shaped tip, with a layer of mercury above the tip, will cause additional heat transfer to the lower side of a slanting borehole, increasing the speed of melting on that side, and returning the borehole to the vertical.
The Z-03B had a new forward fuselage, longer and wider and of light alloy monocoque structure. The roomier cockpit had a lower, side-opening canopy, lengthened at the back and the rear seat was instrumented, opening the possibility of blind-flying training. The landing gear of the Z-03B was similar to that of the earlier variant but the mainwheel had been moved aft to the trailing edge and was rubber sprung. Both variants could be winch-launched using a pair of nose hooks connected to Y-ended cables.
The apse is polygonal, or rather pentagonal, thereby showing on its upper surface five small conchs, which correspond to five conchs on the lower side of the east facade. Thereby a synchronized effect in the development of the masses is realized, which are linked in sophisticated wave-like structures, that break the monolithic, square-build forms of the rigid walls. Italian art critic and professor of Architectural Design at Milan University, Pier Paolo Tamburelli, praised the building. He claimed that the building possesses an incredibly pure and dignified interior.
Eumundi School of Arts is situated on a treed ridge on the lower side of Memorial Drive. The single-storey, timber building with gabled, corrugated iron roof, sits on concrete stumps. Externally, the building is clad with chamferboard, with the exception of weatherboards at the rear of the building. Also at the rear of the hall is a pair of double doors and smaller door at the back of the stage, covered by tin The front, or eastern facade, has an asymmetrical veranda with timber posts and brackets.
194–195 It is distinctive in having the genital pore located far to the front, above the oral sucker, a character it shares with only two other Notostrongylus species, but these two differ in having one row of papillae on the lower side of the body, not three as in N. fosteri. N. johnstoni is most similar to N. fosteri; it infects the rakali (Hydromys chrysogaster), which is semiaquatic like the marsh rice rat. The similarity may be caused by convergent evolution resulting from the similar habits of the respective hosts of these species.
For Canadian and U.S Amateurs with perfect transmitters, the highest usable frequency in the 80 m band for lower side band phone is 3.999 MHz. Depending on quality and condition of radio, audio characteristics, and proper adjustments the bulk of emissions on lower sideband will typically occupy 3.9970–3.9997 MHz. All SSB transceivers have third- and fifth-order products of significant level, typically only 30–35 dB below PEP for third order intermodulation. This means any operation above 3.998 MHz LSB comes with some risk of illegal emissions, even with good equipment.
For 2006, a "Special Edition" body package was added which came with a same colored grille, new front and rear "diffuser" type bumpers, lower side skirts, and wheels. The three options are the Grand Prix, powered by the 3800 Series III V6, the GT, now powered by the 3800 Series III Supercharged V6, and the GXP, powered by the LS4 V8. The GTP designation was discontinued from the Grand Prix line and applied as the top trim of the G6. All General Motors 3.8 L Buick V6 powered cars become the first SULEV compliant vehicles.
A creeping perennial whose flowering branches stand "tall" at to in a land where its relatives can be tall, tough Senecio keniophytum manages to live in the same locales without dominating the landscape. ;Leaves and stems: A branching plant with tough densely white stems with leaves attached directly to them. Long and oblong leaves are a little less than long and wide with purplish bases. Leave edges have teeth and leaf surfaces have green and white hairs on the upper side and a dense matting of white hair and bald midrib on the lower side.

The new owners intended to place the vessel into the Astoria and Cowlitz river trade. On June 23, 1855, it was reported that a contractor named Barnum, of Linn City, had agreed, for $1,350, to take Gazelle from the boat's moorings at Canemah, safely across the falls to the lower river. The hull, engines, and cabin remnants were brought around Willamette Falls on August 11, 1855 by means of a runway of timbers on which rollers were placed, with a launch way or slide on the lower side of the falls.
After 1995, an American couple began to build Kartepe Ski Establishment and Hotel, Balaban turned it faces to tourism and also many summer sites built low side of the mountain. Around that time Kocaeli University Tourism and Career Academy was founded in Büyük Derbent with its career hotel that brings tourism activity to the area. Anyhow, hillsides of the mountain are still virgin, inhabitants keep caring for the area included the historical places and forest, but the lower side is totally different now from it was 10 years ago.
Va's damage is definitely on the lower side, much like Winston's. They are this way for a similar reason: They are both very mobile and hard to kill." D.Va was also noted to take more damage than other tank characters when facing multiple opponents in the game due to her lack of a shield. Goodman attributed this along with her low damage output to the character balancing developed into Overwatch developers, stating, "every character in the game has strengths and weaknesses, it's part of what makes the teamplay work well.
Where the middle segments touched each other on the midline, an irregular punctuated row of small trapezium-shaped "interstitial" osteoderms was present within the suture. At the front of the suture of the first cervical halfring, a small cone-shaped interstitial osteoderm protruded. Such interstitial elements were absent with the side segments. Specimen NMMNH P-66930, a first cervical halfring, shared several traits with its counterpart of the holotype: high narrow keels, interstitial osteoderms in the middle and a lower side osteoderm that does not wrap around the lower edge.
The idea behind the creation of the grotto was to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Virgin Mary’s apparition in Lourdes, France. A priest, Augustinas Dirvelė, thought of creating a grotto in Kretinga, in the valley of the Dopultis (Pastauninkas) Stream, and the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes was placed on the high opening of the grotto near a monastery. On the other, lower side of the grotto, a statue of kneeling St. Bernadette holding a candle looks up at the Virgin Mary. Both statues were brought to Kretinga from France.
Eucalyptus aggregata grows as a medium-sized tree, reaching in height, with dark grey to black rough bark that is fibrous and flaky on the trunk and smooth whitish, cream-coloured or greyish bark on the uppermost branches. The leaves on young plants vary but are mostly elliptic to egg- shaped or broadly lance-shaped, long, wide and a slightly lighter shade of green on the lower side. The adult leaves are lance-shaped, alternately arranged along the stems and measure long by wide. They are the same colour on both surfaces.
Corybas cheesemanii is a terrestrial, perennial, deciduous, herb with a single heart-shaped to almost round leaf long but which is sometimes only a small green scale. The leaf is green on the upper surface and silvery green on the lower side. There is usually only a single flower varying in colour from dark pink through greyish white with purple specks or all white, and reaching to a height of . The largest part of the flower is the dorsal sepal which is hood like, completely covering the rest of the flower.
This single-storeyed set of two shops is located on the corner of Grace and William Streets at the top of a rise on a northwesterly sloping site in Herberton. The building has corrugated iron, twin gable roofs with an awning to both street frontages supported by timber posts. This single-skin timber building is clad in deep, pit-sawn chamferboard and features timber pilasters to the Grace Street shop fronts. Both shops have central entrances and a recent shop has been built on the lower side of the building to the northwest boundary.
Eucalyptus staeri is a tree or a mallee that typically grows to a height of and forms a lignotuber. It has rough, fibrous, fissured, greyish brown bark on the trunk and branches thicker than about . Young plants and coppice regrowth have stems that are square in cross-section and leaves that are a lighter shade of green on the lower side, egg-shaped to broadly lance-shaped, long and wide. Adult leaves are the same shade of green on both sides, lance-shaped, long and wide on a petiole long.
Leionema lachnaeoides is a tall shrub to high with white stems covered in fine, smooth, silver star-shaped hairs quickly becoming smooth. The leaves are more or less terete , long, wide, arranged alternately along the branches on a flattened petiole, with a slight upward curve and ending in a point. The leaf upper and lower side and edges are smooth, surface leathery, margins rolled under almost obscuring the paler underside. The flowers are borne singly on a short peduncle about long in upper leaf axils and covered in soft star-shaped hairs.
Main entrance Bristol Grammar School occupies a triangle of land between the University of Bristol on the University Road side, what used to be Dingle's department store on the lower side and a series of houses on the Elton Road side known as Tyndalls Park. The school has been expanding, and while it has always owned all the houses to one side of the main campus until recently only four (Barton's, Norwood's, Martin's and Garrett's) were occupied. Most of the houses have now had their leases relinquished and have been converted into teaching space.
One or more grids are suspended over the fire to provide the cooking surface(s) for food. A draft opening in the lower side of the unit provides air to the fuel, as well as a controllable vent in the top of the dome lid for air to exit the cooker. Temperature is controlled by adjusting these two vents, which in most Kamado-style cookers can be monitored through a hole in the lid. Digital temperature control devices can be installed using a small blower to regulate airflow.
Some modern main battle tanks and IFVs carry rubber or steel (hardened in some cases) skirts to protect their relatively fragile suspension and lower side armor and lower glacis, often combining the two. Some elastomer fillings (e.g. M551's floating cells and screens, T-72B's radiation protection layer) behave like spaced armor, where the elastic layer effectively lowers the concentration of the jet of HEAT warheads. Leopard 1A3 and 1A4 and add-on armors of T-55 and T-62 used dense polystyrene filling in order to increasing the effectiveness of spaced armors.
Preparing the fiber was an extensive process that involved cleaning and teasing the fiber, spinning the yarn and plying it, dyeing the coloured yarns, and lastly weaving. Creating the yarn was done with a shank which is usually 2–3 ft. long and holds the stone or preferably whalebone whorl. The spindle is rotated by striking the lower side of the whorl with the right hand, while the upper end of the shank is held between the thumb and forefinger of the other hand, and the lower end rests on the ground.
In the rear, the LED taillights were given horizontal design, while Sport models featured exposed dual exhaust pipes. The doors and front fenders were re-shaped, eliminating the wheel arch bulge and replacing it with a more traditional character line in the sheet metal. The lower side crease line (which replaced the pre- facelift model's side chrome trim) extends from the rear door all the way to the front fender, hence all the side panels except for the rear quarter panel was also restyled. The interior of the mid-cycle refresh had been minimally restyled.
Oktonia is a hillside village found in the east-central area of Evia Island, belonging to the Municipality of Kimi-Aliveri, Greece. Located near the lower side of the Gulf of Kimi, the village is composed of four communities, Alonia, Panochori (the upper village), Katochori (the lower village) and Panagia, covering a large area. It is 145 km from Athens, a distance covered in about 2.5 hours by car, making it a destination for both winter and summer holidays. According to the census of 2011, Oktonia has 455 permanent inhabitants.
Eucalyptus olsenii is a tree that typically grows to a height of high and forms a lignotuber. It has smooth white to cream-coloured bark that is shed in ribbons, sometimes with rough, fibrous or flaky bark at the base of the trunk. Young plants and coppice regrowth have glossy green leaves that are a paler shade on the lower side, egg-shaped to lance-shaped or elliptical, long and wide. Adult leaves are the same shade of glossy green on both sides, lance-shaped to curved, long and wide on a petiole long.
In the 1940s trimethadione (brand name Tridione) was the only available treatment for absence seizures. However, while effective, this drug presented with significant adverse effects, which led to the search for an equally effective analog. While limited information is available from the time, a pre-market clinical study found that paramethadione, an analog of trimethadione, was not quite as effective at alleviating seizures as trimethadione, however, it did have a significantly lower side effect profile in 85 patients over the course of 2 years. Notably, 80% of patients still showed a good response to paramethadione.
Following his death, the German colonial administration ordered his head to be removed and it is believed to have been sent to Berlin to be used in phrenological studies. It was then apparently stored in a museum. Mangi Meli chief's officer was Ndaskoi Msehiye Massamu, who led the Chaga forces that captured livestock in the Pare and Taveta areas of what is now Kenya. Ndaskoi lived in Masamunyi, where he raised his family, while others of his relatives moved to Msaranga, on the lower side of Old Moshi.
Eremophila youngii is an erect, highly-branched, shrub which grows to a height of between . Its branches, leaves, flower stalks and sepals are covered with a layer of grey or yellowish scales, although these are sometime lost as the part ages. The branches are rough due to the presence of persistent leaf bases and are covered with small, raised, warty lumps. The leaves are arranged in opposite pairs along the branches, linear to elliptic in shape, tapering towards both ends, and mostly long, wide and have a prominent mid-vein on the lower side.
Skull with dentition: 2/2 molars, 4/4 premolars, 1/1 canines, 3/3 incisors Skeleton Baculum or penis bone Lower side of front paw with visible vibrissae on the tips of the digits Head to hindquarters, raccoons measure between , not including the bushy tail which can measure between , but is usually not much longer than . The shoulder height is between . The body weight of an adult raccoon varies considerably with habitat, making the raccoon one of the most variably sized mammals. It can range from , but is usually between .
This two terraced stupa is cruciform on plan and about 15 metres high from the ground level. The lower terrace is about 2.25 metres high from the ground level and the upper terrace is at a similar height from the lower side. At both terraces there is a circumambulatory path, the lower about 4.5 metres wide and the upper about 3 metres wide. The main stupa placed over the upper terrace is accessible through a flight of steps on the north side on each of the four cardinal directions.
With his friends, spending 150 Euros, he painted the lower side of each step alternately in green and blue color. Hegediš and Branko Najhold (1947-2017), Zemun historian, chose names of 128 important people who either originated from Zemun or lived and worked in it and, using stencils, printed their names and occupation in yellow, one name on each stair. The colored stairs were reopened on 23 June 2016. On 29 May 2017 info boards with names, photos and short biographies of 128 people were placed at the stairway.
When the action is opened, cases are extracted backwards for manual reloading. The trigger and trigger guard are fixed to lower side of the chamber block. The chamber block is locked to the handle block, which contains the locking surface, firing button (pushed by the trigger when the chamber block is locked), pistol grip, battery and electronics. The cartridge primers are ignited electrically, so there are four circular contact plates on the locking surface (contacting the case bottom) and four contact pins in the center of each plate (contacting the primer).
When the lower side of the eyebar failed, all the load was transferred to the other side of the eyebar, which then failed by ductile overload. The joint was then held together only by three eyebars, and another slipped off the pin at the center of the bearing, so the chain was completely severed. Collapse of the entire structure was inevitable since all parts of a suspension bridge are in equilibrium with one another. Witnesses afterward estimated that it took only about a minute for the whole bridge to fall.
Eucalyptus sparsifolia is a tree that grows to a height of with grey to reddish brown, stringy bark. The leaves on young trees are glossy green, hairy, broadly lance-shaped long, wide and a lighter colour on the lower side. Adult leaves are narrow lance-shaped, often curved, the same glossy green on both sides, long and wide on a petiole long. The flowers are arranged in groups of mostly between nine and eighteen on an angular or flattened peduncle long, individual flowers on a cylindrical pedicel up to long.
Boeing Model B-1D or Model 6D The Model 6D continued the designation series of the 1919 Boeing Model 6 but the only similarity was that they are both biplane pusher flying-boats. The 6D was designed in 1928 and 2 aircraft were built between May 1928 and April 1929. The 6Ds rectangular hull was constructed of wood with wood longerons, covered in spruce veneer. Wings were taken from the Model 40 and shortened, with the pusher engine and wood propeller mounted on the lower side of the upper wing.
MV Royal Iris taking in water, east of Thames Barrier in London (February 2019). On Saturday, 20 February 2010, the Liverpool Echo carried an article about an unnamed Wirral businessman who wished to purchase her. On Thursday, 4 March 2010, the Liverpool Echo carried an article about an online petition to have her returned to Merseyside On Tuesday, 9 March 2010, James Jegede, the current owner of Royal Iris, spoke to BBC Radio Merseyside about his plans. In 2014, Royal Iris was still settled on the mudbank with a hole in her lower side.
The square tower on the lower side of the bridge at the Galway end was erected to protect the old bridge, as was the Salt Battery, with emplacements for four cannons facing west and north, a few hundred yards from town along the Crank Road. The Irish garrison remained in Banagher without further molestation until the Battle of Aughrim, after which Banagher was evacuated. The English re-occupied the town, where they remained until the middle of the 19th century when Banagher ceased to be a garrison town.
GMT400 GMC Yukon DenaliIn 1998, at the time of its introduction, the Yukon Denali was GM's answer to the Lincoln Navigator, but then GM introduced a clone to the Yukon Denali and rebadged it "Escalade" under the Cadillac nameplate. The Yukon Denali's exterior was shared with the Cadillac Escalade, with the entire front clip and lower side body panels differing from the standard Yukon. In the interior, in addition, the Denali features luxury options not available in the Yukon. These included an upgraded leather interior, power seats, heated seats front and rear, Bose stereo system, and some woodgrain on the dashboard.
Passer predomesticus is a fossil passerine bird in the sparrow family Passeridae. First described in 1962, it is known from two premaxillary (upper jaw) bones found in a Middle Pleistocene layer of the Oumm-Qatafa cave in Palestine. The premaxillaries resemble those of the house and Spanish sparrows, but differ in having a deep groove instead of a crest on the lower side. Israeli palaeontologist Eitan Tchernov, who described the species, and others have considered it to be close to the ancestor of the house and Spanish sparrows, but molecular data point to an earlier origin of modern sparrow species.
The spiral sculpture consists of a row of quite separate, very small, elongated tubercles below the suture. The sinus-area is bordered on its lower side by a very faint and small furrow. The angulation of the whorl below this is chiefly due to the row of beads in which the ribs originate, and here there are several very minute threads : 9 somewhat stronger, equal, and equally parted threads occupy the body from this angle downwards; about 5 others, stronger and wider apart, occupy the base, and about 4 more the aperture. Here and there a much finer thread occurs in the intervals.
Torpedo explosion damage to port lower side of hull of SS Fort Camosun SS Fort Camosun was a coal-burning 7000-ton freighter, built in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada in 1942. In June of 1942, during World War 2, she departed Victoria Harbour on her maiden voyage to England with zinc, lead, plywood, timber and other raw materials. On 20 June 1942 the Japanese submarine I-25, under the command of Commander Meiji Tagami, torpedoed the Fort Camosun while she was 70 miles south-southwest of Cape Flattery. Fort Camosun was torpedoed just eleven hours out of port at 11:00pm.
The entire surrounding slope around the Gospodar Jevremova was a necropolis, so the temple was probably part of it, since Hecate's temples were usually built on the cemeteries. The beam ends in a step-like manner, so the temple was probably built in the Ionic order rather than the Tuscan order, which would be expected in Singidunum. Impressions of anta capital and their size on the lower side of the beam point to existing of two columns and a probable rectangular gable above it. There is a possibility, due to the terrain, that the temple was actually dug into the slope.
At the Gansevoort Street end (which runs north-south), the stub over Gansevoort Street is named the Tiffany and Co. Foundation Overlook and was dedicated in July 2012; the foundation was a major supporter of the park. The route then passes under The Standard, High Line hotel and through a passage at 14th Street. At 14th Street, the High Line splits into two sides at different elevations; the Diller-Von Furstenberg Water Feature (opened in 2010) is on the lower side, and a sundeck is on the upper side. The route passes under the Chelsea Market, a food hall, at 15th Street.
The first church at the site likely had a single nave, similar to other romanesque-style parish churches nearby, such as San Pietro in Figline and San Vito and Modesto a Sofignano and Hippolytus and Cassian Vernio The present structure has a three-aisled result of renovations and changes starting with 20th-century belltower. The facade, erected in 1907, repeats the internal partition and is divided into three sectors: the central, much higher, and the lower side, the facade is set on the Renaissance proportions, and decorated with items that alluding to the Gothic and the Renaissance.
In two-stroke engines, scavenging is required to purge exhaust gasses, as well as charge the cylinders for the next power stroke. In small engines this requirement is commonly met by using the crankcase as a blower; the descending piston during the power stroke compresses air in the crankcase used to purge the cylinder. Scavenging blowing should not be confused with supercharging, as no charge compression takes place. As the volume change produced by the lower side of the piston is the same as the upper face, this is limited to scavenging and cannot provide any supercharging.
The large glass walls enabled public viewing of the reactor room's interior, showcasing the activity inside. The first floor, partly covered by the outdoor plaza, housed the reactor, laboratory, crystal spectrometer, counting room with a nuclear densometer, classrooms, restrooms, and offices. The second floor contained the control room, an observatory, and a lecture room overlooking the reactor; it was open to the outdoor plaza on three sides, with large glass windows allowing for public observation of experiments. The reactor was placed on the lower side of the building, downhill of the plaza, to allow the ground to absorb accidental radiation leaks.
One bus, a Bova Futura, was made in at least 15 different liveries. Early trucks were produced with a basic unadorned black wheel design, while later ones incorporated a triangular chrome wheel that looked a lot like a Majorette design. Packaging in the 1980s was simple as trucks were held in flimsy plastic containers with an EFSI identification sticker on the lower side of the container. Later, more design and color was incorporated on a cardboard blister, but, still, the presentation was simpler than more developed diecast companies – no printing was usually seen on the back of the blister card.
Female potato aphids overwinter as eggs on weeds, the sprouts of potatoes in storage and on lettuce under glass. They usually emerge in April and begin feeding on perennial weeds, preferring plants in the family Chenopodiaceae. In May or early June, they migrate to potato, cabbage, tomato and others crops where they feed on shoots, the lower side of leaves, buds and flowers, often on the lower parts of the plant. They are highly polyphagous, feeding on over two hundred species in more than twenty plant families, but their preference is for plants in the family Solanaceae.
Single-sideband (SSB) operation involves the selection of either the Lower Side Band (LSB) or the Upper Side Band (USB) mode for transmit and receive. SSB radios also have the standard AM mode for communicating with standard CB radio models. With the original 23 CB channels SSB stations commonly used channel 16, to avoid interference to those using AM (SSB stations are authorized to use 12 watts, as opposed to 4 watts for AM stations) and to more easily locate other SSB stations. With the FCC authorization of 40 channels, SSB operation shifted to channels 36–40.
Another traditional antipsychotic used in treating Tourette's is fluphenazine (brand name Prolixin), although the evidence supporting its use is less than that of haloperidol and pimozide. The classes of medication with proven efficacy in treating tics—typical and atypical neuroleptics—can have long-term and short-term adverse effects. The antihypertensive agents are also used to treat tics; studies show variable efficacy, but a lower side effect profile than the neuroleptics. See also Bloch, State, Pittenger (2011), There is moderate evidence that the antihypertensive clonidine, along with aripiprazole, haloperidol, risperidone, and tiapride, reduce tics more than placebo.
It bears twisted hairs tightly pressed to it on the upper side, and scattered, spreading, straight hairs on the lower side; no scales are present. The pinnae are not jointed at the base, and the dark pigmentation of the rachis enters the edge of the pinnae. The pinnae at the base of the leaf are slightly larger than the pinnae immediately above them and the pinnae are somewhat asymmetric about the costa (pinna axis). The basiscopic pinnules (pointing at the leaf base) are slightly larger and more deeply dissected than the acroscopic pinnules (pointing at the leaf tip).
The wings of the all-metal aircraft had fixed leading edges and slotted flaps. The cockpit was well forward, giving the pilot good visibility, and he was protected by an armored headrest. The windscreen of the teardrop-shaped canopy was also armored. Two Nudelman-Suranov NS-23 autocannon were mounted on the lower side of the fuselage with 75 rounds per gun. The tricycle landing gear retracted into the fuselage which gave the 150 a very narrow track. The Soviet derivative of the Jumo engine, the RD-10, was rated at and was mounted behind the cockpit.
Prostanthera gilesii is a compact, spreading shrub that typically grows to a height of up to and has more or less cylindrical, moderately hairy branchlets. The leaves are aromatic, glossy dark green, paler on the lower side, almost glabrous, narrow egg-shaped to more elliptical, long and wide on a petiole long. The flowers are arranged singly in three or four upper leaf axils with bracteoles about long at the base. The sepals are green and form a tube wide with two lobes, the lower lobe long and wide and the upper lobe long and wide.
Cape Roxo (, ), is a headland in West Africa, marking the westernmost frontier of Guinea-Bissau with Senegal. On the lower side is the São Domingos district of the Cacheu Region of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, above it is the Oussouye Department of the Ziguinchor Region of the Republic of Senegal. Cape Roxo marks a significant angle shift in the outline of the African coast, with the coast running north–south above it, and turning southeast below it. It was originally called Capo Rosso by Venetian explorer Alvise Cadamosto in 1456 on account of its reddish appearance (rosso = red in Italian).
Loudoun House is a high-set timber building with enclosed sub-floor and additional kitchen and bedroom areas on the eastern side. It has a westerly aspect from the top of a low spur in Irvinebank, near the ruins of the Assay Office and above the Queensland National Bank Building and the School of Arts. A number of trees surround the building, including mangoes, red cedar, boab, figs and a bunya pine. The Irvinebank to Stannary Hills tramway formation, is evident on the lower side of the property where it has been used as pedestrian access to MacDonald Street below.
New Hall, in the Park of Tyldesley, close to Damhouse by the Astley, Greater Manchester border, was in existence before 1422 when it belonged to Thomas Tyldesley. The hall and its acres of land was the subject of a feud between the Tyldesleys and the Hultons of Hulton Park which ended in 1422 when Roger Hulton gave up any title he had to Hugh Tyldesley. Its occupant in 1692 was Henry Marsh who was elected overseer of the poor for Tyldesley lower side. It was described as a mansion house in 1716 when it was leased to a widow named Heyes.
P. scaber has an oval body, can grow up to long, and is usually a grey colour, paler underneath, although brown, blue, yellow, or pinkish hues may also be observed (like many other woodlice, a red variety can often be found in coastal areas). The dorsal (upper) surface of its segmented exoskeleton is covered in a series of small tubercles hence its common name. At the head it has two pairs of antennae, with the inner pair being very small. Two compound eyes are located on the dorsal side of the head, while the mouth parts are on the ventral (lower) side.
As far as can be determined, between arches 2 to 21, the outer facing of the superstructure consists of four layers of brick, followed by layers of rough stonemasonry bound with mortar. In contrast, between arches 22 and 26, as well as in both ramps on either end, the facing consists of ashlar blocks. The two repaired arches 27a and 27b are differentiated from the earlier work through the use of smaller unworked stones and the incorporation of irregularly placed brick tiles. In arch 26, the lower side of the arch still features a projecting bearing used for the placement of the falsework.
Upon commissioning, Quesnel patrolled the Pacific Coast as a member of Esquimalt Force. During the spring of 1942 she was doing anti-submarine patrols in the Straits of Georgia, the Queen Charlotte Sounds and Millbank Sounds. It was during this time that she was detailed to screen while she was waiting to go into drydock. Torpedo explosion damage to port lower side of hull of On 20 June 1942, the Imperial Japanese Navy submarine shelled the lighthouse at Estevan Point on Vancouver Island, while , under the command of Commander Meiji Tagami, torpedoed and shelled the freighter off Cape Flattery.
The Type 90 is an armoured fighting vehicle produced by Chinese company Norinco; it is the successor for the Type 85 AFV of which it uses some components. The Type 90 series was developed for export, and consists of at least 10 different types; its industrial index is YW535. This new type is rather similar to its predecessors Type 85 AFV and Type 89 AFV, but the hull has a different shape, having a vertical lower side wall and a sloping upper side wall. Overall, the Type 90 is bigger and heavier, yet has a lower profile.
The problems of finding maximum cliques and of coloring trapezoid graphs are connected to channel routing problems in VLSI design. Given some labeled terminals on the upper and lower side of a two-sided channel, terminals with the same label will be connected in a common net. This net can be represented by a trapezoid containing the rightmost terminals and leftmost terminals with the same label. Nets may be routed without intersection if and only if the corresponding trapezoids do not intersect. Therefore, the number of layers needed to route the nets without intersection is equal to the graph’s chromatic number.
It sits between a group of public and government buildings (which includes the Townsville Customs House and the Townsville State Government Offices on the lower side of the hill), and a group of substantial early residences higher on the hill to the west. The condition of the drystone wall varies from sound to areas of partial collapse or missing stones. The wall is situated on the boundary of Lot 3 on EP2361 and Lot 6 on T118300. The site is generally rocky and granite ridges run through the base of the wall continuing down the slope.
In natural habitat The habitat of Caryophyllia smithii is often dominated by sponges and bryozoans and these also grow on the corallum of the coral. The larvae of the barnacle Megatrema anglicum often settle near the rim of the corallum where they appear to be immune to the coral's nematocysts. They become attached to the stony material and the coral's epithelium overgrows them except for their operculums. A single coral may be colonised by multiple barnacles and these have a tendency to aggregate on one particular part of the coral, often the lower side when corals are growing on vertical surfaces.
The DM-39 is a German anti-personnel, cylindrical-shaped and plastic-made blast mine intended for emplacement under an anti-tank mine. It is pressure initiated and has a clockwork delayed arming mechanism, making it suitable for its anti-lift role. A secondary fuze well is located on the lower side of the mine, allowing for use of a secondary anti-disturbance fuze. The mine measures 100 by 40 mm with a 300-gram TNT/RDX explosive charge, with three variants of the same dimensions, the DM-39A1, the DM-68 and the DM-68A1.
The relics of saint John are in the Church of Saint John the Russian in Neo Prokopion Prokopi in Euboea, Greece. His right hand is in the Russian Monastery of St Panteleimon on Athos. By the blessing of Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow in 2003-2004 a small wooden church of St. John the Russian was erected in Moscow, in Kuntsevo district, a larger stone one was built nearby later and consecrated in 2016. In Novosibirsk, Russia the lower side chapel of the church of Our Lady of the Sign is also devoted to St. John the Russian.
Manduca brasiliensis is a moth of the family Sphingidae. It is found in Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. It is similar to Manduca scutata. The primary differences are as follows: it is smaller; the sides of the thorax and upper portion of the head and front wing are more greyish; there are smaller black spots on the underbelly; the black discal patches on the upper portion of the front wing are shorter; there is a broader black median band on the upper portion of the hind wing; and the black lines on the lower side of the hind wing are more prominent.
Illustration of a bay cat The bay cat is much smaller than the Asian golden cat. Its fur is of a bright chestnut colour, rather paler beneath, the limbs and the tail being rather paler and redder. The tail is elongated, tapering at the end, with a white central streak occupying the rear half of the lower side, gradually becoming wider and of a purer white towards the tip, which has a small black spot at its upper end. The ears are rounded, covered with a short blackish-brown fur at the outer side, paler brown within and with a narrow brown margin.
In a situation where the shutter fails to fully operate, the frame is lost. The shutter release button is standard threaded for pneumatic bulb/cable releases, an accessory timer or the use of a larger accessory ('soft touch') button. The fingernail-operated latch to the left lower side releases the film door for loading. The film spools are secured by the pins and slot shaped opening at either end of the film spool. The camera has two twist-lock cams that turn and pull out to open, the left side for the unexposed roll and the right side, known as the “take-up” spool.
Giganotosaurus did not have a sagittal crest on the top of the skull, and the jaw muscles did not extend onto the skull roof, unlike in most other theropods (due to the shelf over the supratemporal fenestrae). These muscles would instead have been attached to the lower side surfaces of the shelf. The neck muscles that elevated the head would have attached to the prominent supraoccipital bones on the top of the skull, which functioned like the nuchal crest of tyrannosaurs. A latex endocast of the brain cavity of Giganotosaurus showed that the brain was similar to that of the related genus Carcharodontosaurus, but larger.
The endocast was long, wide, and had a volume of . The dentary of the lower jaw expanded in height towards the front (by the mandibular symphysis, where the two halves of the lower jaw connected), where it was also flattened, and it had a downwards projection at the tip (which has been referred to as a "chin"). The lower side of the dentary was concave, the outer side was convex in upper view, and a groove ran along it, which supported foramina that nourished the teeth. The inner side of the dentary had a row of interdental plates, where each tooth had a foramen.
The architecture of Holy Trinity Monastery differs from that of other monasteries in the region. The architecture of the oldest part of the monastery is very unusual, in that it is almost square, with a large apse. The nave is divided by four pillars - two on the south side and two on the north - into three sections: a wide central part and two narrow side-aisles. The central part of the nave is covered by a longitudinal barrel vault supported by the pillars, while the transverse vaults of the lower side-aisles are also semicircular and are set at right angle to the central part of the nave.
Although only approximately long, the rack section speed of approximately . The time for the rack loco to attach and detach added 40 minutes or more to the journey compared to a conventional line, and the maximum load was limited to ~. To prevent runaways if wagon couplings broke, the engine was typically coupled at the lower side of the train, when ascending and descending the incline. The steepest grade was 1 in 16.5 (~6%), double the steepest grade on a conventional line and three times steeper than the usual maximum grade. The rack locomotives were maintained at Mount Morgan from 1898 until 1952, when a deviation bypassing the rack railway was opened.
Now draw a second ray from Pk1 straight down parallel with the y-axis, and rotate this ray counter-clockwise until it hits the point Pk2. Continue until the process reaches the point Pn; the resulting polygon (containing the points P0, Pk1, Pk2, ..., Pkm, Pn) is the Newton polygon. Another, perhaps more intuitive way to view this process is this : consider a rubber band surrounding all the points P0, ..., Pn. Stretch the band upwards, such that the band is stuck on its lower side by some of the points (the points act like nails, partially hammered into the xy plane). The vertices of the Newton polygon are exactly those points.
L. maerski has a large ganglion, or 'brain', in its head, and paired nerve cords extending ventrally (along the lower side of the body) towards the tail. Stiff sensory bristles made up of one to three cilia are scattered about the body. These bristles are similar to ones found on gnathostomulids, but up to three cilia may arise from a single cell in L. maerski, while gnathostomulids never have more than one cilium per cell. Flexible cilia are arranged in a horseshoe-shaped area on the forehead, and in spots on the sides of the head and in two rows on the underside of the body.
The Denali nameplate started as the top-of- the-line version of the GMC Yukon for the 1999 model year. It was also GM's first attempt to go after sales from the new-for-1998 Lincoln Navigator. At the time of its introduction General Motors decided to give Cadillac its own luxury SUV so the Denali's exterior was shared with the 1999 Cadillac Escalade, with only the front fascia and lower side body panels differing from the standard Yukon. Even though the Yukon was redesigned alongside the Chevrolet Suburban and Chevrolet Tahoe in 2000, the Denali, Escalade, and Tahoe Limited/Z71 retained their 1990s base design.
The exterior design had been restyled to take advantage of the flexibility offered by carbon-fibre construction, with improved aerodynamics and surface features aimed at improving the car's overall top speed. The reshaped exterior featured smoother lines with additional detailing, and more curved surfaces. The aft radiator cooling vents were retained, but integrated into the rear fascia, and the lower side and front air intakes were restyled, along with the forward fascia and headlamps. Designers reportedly drew inspiration from the 1965 2000GT sports coupé, which was also produced in a front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout, and represented the combination of Japanese technology and design ethics in a sports car.
In 1990–1991 Moritoshi Iino in Tokyo made measurements of IAA (auxin) in maize coleoptiles in response to both light and gravity. He confirmed that auxin was redistributed to the shady or lower side, and that bending occurred progressively as the auxin moved down the coleoptile. A 1993 report gave evidence that growth rates were changing on both the light and shady sides, as predicted. Experiments in the late 1990s with radiolabelled IAA (auxin, indole-3-acetic acid) supported the view that auxin synthesized in the tip of the coleoptile was being transported to the bottom side of the coleoptile, causing it to curve upward.
The complication itself, its prevention, or its treatment may lead to PT. Prevention of GI bleeding in VAD patients often includes keeping pump speeds lower to potentially minimize the proliferation of AV malformations. In addition, bleeding, once it occurs, is managed at least temporarily by a halting or decrease in AC. Efforts to decrease the development of AI in LVAD patients include keeping pump speeds on the lower side as well. Right ventricular dysfunction, particularly in the early postoperative period, is likewise managed with lower pump speeds. Finally, infections and sepsis are known to be associated with a more hypercoagulable state in VAD patients.
Tdap is the booster for pertussis, and is advised in the US to be administered every ten years, and during every pregnancy for mothers. Tdap can also be used as a booster against tetanus. Upon its invention in the 1950s, the pertussis vaccine was whole-cell (contained the entire inactivated bacterium), and could cause fever and local reactions in people who received the vaccine. In the 1990s, people in the US started using acellular vaccines (contained small portions of the bacterium), that had lower side effects but were also less effective at triggering an immunological memory response, due to the antigen presented to the immune system being less complete.
This was described in the 1920s in the Cholodny-Went model. The model was independently proposed by the Russian scientist N. Cholodny of the University of Kiev in 1927 and by Frits Went of the California Institute of Technology in 1928, both based on work they had done in 1926. Auxin exists in nearly every organ and tissue of a plant, but it has been reoriented in the gravity field, can initiate differential growth resulting in root curvature. Experiments show that auxin distribution is characterized by a fast movement of auxin to the lower side of the root in response to a gravity stimulus at a 90° degree angle or more.
While amyloplasts continue to guide plants in the right direction, plant organs and function rely on phototropic responses to ensure that the leaves are receiving enough light to perform basic functions such as photosynthesis. In complete darkness, mature plants have little to no sense of gravity, unlike seedlings that can still orient themselves to have the shoots grow upward until light is reached when development can begin. Differential sensitivity to auxin helps explain Darwin's original observation that stems and roots respond in the opposite way to the forces of gravity. In both roots and stems, auxin accumulates towards the gravity vector on the lower side.
An excellent example of this was demonstrated with the bells of Westminster Abbey at the Funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales in 1997. The accompanying picture shows a half-muffled full-circle bell, with the bell in the inverted position (or the "up" position). The clapper is shown resting on the lower side of the bell's soundbow, and when it first rotates (to the right in the picture) the un-muffled side of the clapper will strike when the bell rises to the inverted position and the clapper is moving faster and crosses to the other side. On the return stroke the same happens but the strike will be muffled.
Porto Pí The 17th century was characterised by the division of the city into two sides or gangs, named Canamunts and Canavalls (from Majorcan Catalan "the ones from the upper/lower side"), with severe social and economic repercussions. During this period, the port became a haven for pirates. During the last quarter of the century, the Inquisition continued its persecution of the city's Jews, locally called xuetes. The fall of Barcelona in 1714 meant the end of the War of the Spanish Succession and the defeat and destruction of the Crown of Aragon, and this was reflected on the Nueva Planta decrees, issued by Philip V of Spain in 1715.
Originally developed to treat high blood pressure, these medications are a safer alternative to neuroleptic medications for the people with TS that respond to them. This class of medication is often the first tried for tics, as the antihypertensives have a lower side effect profile than some of the medications which more proven efficacy. The evidence for their safety and efficacy is not as strong as the evidence for some of the standard and atypical neuroleptics, but there is fair supportive evidence for their use, nonetheless. This class of medication takes about six weeks to begin to work on tics, so sustained trials are warranted.
Coat of Arms: D'or with a dextrochère of carnation, gules armored arm, moving from the lower side of the shield holding a gules épée, topped with two gules bulls, one above the other, the lower bull no longer having his head, which appears to have been cut with the edge of the épée. A Count's coronet as helmut on top of the escutcheon, Two or lions supporting the escutcheon. Nobles, Gentlemen, Squires and Seigneurs de La Grézère, de La Roquette, de Caubeyran, de Saint-Genest (sic) de Saint-Genès, de Lastranenq, de Sauroux, de la Tour-Catsies, de Romatet, de la Bassane, etc., this branch belongs to the nobility of Guyenne.
22 December 2005 view inland from the inner (southern) of the two major breaches in the lower side of the Industrial Canal levee & floodwall into the Lower 9th Ward, one of the more famous of the multiple levee failures which devastated much of the Ward at the time of Hurricane Katrina The 9th Ward neighborhood was thrust into the nation's spotlight in the aftermath of 2005's Hurricane Katrina. Much of the area on both sides of the Industrial Canal experienced catastrophic flooding. The majority of the damage was caused by storm surge. There were multiple severe levee breaks along both the MRGO and the Industrial Canal.
One inscription also records that during one of his visits, he inquired about the affairs of the temple. Furthermore, inscriptions on the lower side, indicates that similar endowments were also made around 1205 AD during the reign of Chola King Kulottunga III (1178–1218 AD). One of the inscriptions dating around 1238 AD mentions that the Siva Brahmanas of the temple were given the village during the reign of Maravarman Sundara Pandiyan (1216–1238 AD). Another inscription on the northern wall states that during the reign of Jatavarman Parakraman around 1322 AD, the villagers were unable to pay the Village Tax (Kadamai) and therefore sold the lands to a merchant.
On the lower side, the maxilla formed an extensive internal shelf which contributed to a large (which separated the nasal airways from the mouth), extending backwards from the contact with the premaxilla. The front part of the palatal shelf had three small openings, and there was a row of (which allowed blood to supply the bone with nutrients) in a groove just above and parallel to the tooth row margin. Parts of the upper (A) and lower (B) jaws of the holotype The nasal bones were elongated, long and wide. They were not fused together, and covered the top of the (snout) for most of their length.
Three cervical half-rings The body of Ziapelta was protected by osteoderms, skin ossifications. Apart from the osteoderms that are part of the skull, two cervical halfrings were present to protect the upper side of the neck and rows of oval scutes probably ran along the back and sides of the torso; the latter are only known as detached specimens. All osteoderms found have a surface that is densely pitted but lacks veins. The cervical halfrings with ankylosaurids typically each consisted of six fused segments that were paired: per side one at the top, a second segment at the upper side and a third one at the lower side.
Most species have leaves variegated in several shades of green and silver, either in an irregular pattern of blotches or an arrowhead or Christmas tree shape. In cultivation, cyclamens, especially species other than Cyclamen persicum, are selected as often or more often for striking or unusual leaf patterns than for their flowers. The lower side of leaves is often shiny, and its color varies from plain green to rich red or purple. Most cyclamen species originate from the Mediterranean, where summers are hot and dry and winters are cool and wet, and are summer-dormant: their leaves sprout in the autumn, remain through the winter, and wither the next spring.
Quoya oldfieldii is an erect shrub, growing to a height of and which has its branches densely covered reddish to dark brown hairs, fading to pale brown on older branches. The leaves are egg-shaped with the narrower end towards the base, long, wide, densely covered with woolly hairs, greyish green on the top and yellowish- green on the lower side. The flowers are arranged in the upper leaf axils, usually in a short, broad leafy group with 3 to 7 flowers on a densely hairy stalk long. The flowers are surrounded by bracts and bracteoles which are hairy on the outer surface and glabrous on the inside.
Contrasting to that are bright red metallic stripes that run on the lower side of the station wall and on the pylon and intervault wall of the platform and central hall. The niche between the upper vault and the pylon space is done out of beige mettaloplastic (which also has the fluorescent lighting elements) and the upper vaults are covered in plastic planes. In the far end of the central hall, is a neatly arranged artwork based on the same metallic themes. The station has a large surface vestibule on the corner between the Kotovsky and Stetsenko/Schuseva streets (the latter changes name as it passes under the railway flyover).
Eucalyptus forresterae is a shrubby, whipstick mallee that typically grows to a height of and has smooth light grey to whitish bark that is shed in strips or sheets. Young plants and coppice regrowth have crowded leaves arranged in opposite pairs, egg-shaped to heart-shaped or round, a lighter shade of green on the lower side, long and wide. Adult leaves are arranged alternately, the same glossy green on both sides, lance-shaped to narrow egg-shaped, long and wide on a petiole long. The flower buds are arranged in leaf axils in groups of between eleven and twenty one on an unbranched peduncle long, the individual buds sessile.
The swimming hall has a ferro-concrete skeleton and is spanned by ferro-concrete trusses, with cladding on both its external and internal walls. The hall has a rectangular layout, with a raised central section flanked to the north and south by lower side wings. To the east is a broad entrance portal linking both main entrances, which are identical in appearance. The entire structure is built symmetrically, consisting of two vestibules, two large changing areas located in the low side wings and two sets of shower facilities in the passages leading to the pool hall, not to mention the two galleries to the north and south.
On April 14, 1907 a northbound freight train, No.23, of the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad, operating on the Rome and Richland branch of the former Rome, Watertown and Ogdensburg Railroad (later part of the New York Central) crashed when the bank on the lower side of the track failed and a section slid down the hill undermining the track. The accident occurred approximately 2.5 miles south of Blossvale, a hamlet in the Oneida County, New York, town of Annsville. The sixty-car freight train, carrying coal and other freight was pulled by engines No. 1726 and 1863. Both engines plunged down the sixty foot embankment.
The Nid 590 also had very similar dimensions to the NiD 540 but both newer designs differed from the earlier one in their novel rear fuselage structure. The NiD 690 was a high wing, cantilever monoplane, with wings which were trapezoidal in plan. Its Algol engine was in the nose within a narrow-chord, Townend ring type cowling and behind it the forward and central metal-covered fuselage was, apart from the roof, flat-sided and rectangular in section. The pilots' enclosed cockpit was under the wing leading edge with all-around glazing of the multi-panel type and with lower side windows for better downward vision.
Although the height of the alveolus cannot be determined because the lower side is broken away, the incisor must have been quite deep. When it was discovered that Sudamerica had four molariform teeth and no bladelike premolar in its lower jaw, Pascual, Kielan-Jaworowska, and colleagues removed MACN Pv-RN 975 from Ferugliotherium, which they expected to have the same dental formula as its fellow gondwanathere Sudamerica, and identified it as an indeterminate multituberculate instead. Pascual and colleagues argued that molariform teeth as seen in Sudamerica could not have evolved from the bladelike p4 of Ferugliotherium, and that it was unlikely that additional molars had been added in Sudamerica.
Two prominent ridges descend from each serration towards the front down the sides of the tooth. No roots are preserved, but the rounded surface of the lower side of the tooth suggests they may have been resorbed, which would indicate that the tooth is deciduous. Krause and colleagues suggested that the tooth may have been the frontmost premolar, whether deciduous or permanent. However, Kielan-Jaworowska and Bonaparte wrote that this tooth does not match the partial jaw MACN Pv-RN 975, which has no alveoli in front of p4, and Pascual and colleagues agreed in 1999 that the tooth probably does not belong to Ferugliotherium.
Williamsoceras is similar to Cacheoceras which comes from the same areas and formations, except that Cacheoceras has additional smaller processes, either one on the dorsal side opposite the main process or a pair that are positioned dorsolaterally. It differs from Emmonsoceras (Flower 1955, 1976; Techert 1964) and from Perkinsoceras (Flower 1976) in that the ventral process in these is broad and in broad contact with the lower side of the siphuncle. Williamsoceras differs from Allotrioceras from the Chazian of Champlain Valley (Flower 1955) in the manner in which the central processes are formed and that the features in Willimasoceras are bilaterally symmetrical while those in Allotrioceras are definitely asymmetric.
The other sides of the house have complex elevations reflecting the house's history of additions and alterations into the 20th century, all on rubble stone foundations. The lower side of the springhouse in 2010 The main entrance is at the east end of the south elevation, with a Greek Revival treatment opening into a reception and stair hall along the east wing, with an opening on the east side into the east wing ballroom or parlor. A dining room is on the west side of the hall, followed by a billiard room and a series of kitchen spaces. The kitchen area appears to be the oldest section of the house.
The main differences between the earlier P-10 and the P-12 included a new antenna feed system with lower side lobes, reduced to 4% of the main lobe. The P-12 also offered a greater frequency range and greater frequency agility, being able to retune to four pre-set frequencies automatically as well as automatic frequency fine tuning. Finally Yenisei had greater accuracy with improved detection range (250 km) and better protection against passive and active interference. In addition to frequency agility the P-12 was the first Russian radar system to use the coherent cancellation moving target indicator (MTI) method to eliminate ground clutter.
The teeth are entered by a secondary vein near the middle and the tips of the teeth show an indistinct glandular region at the tip. There are six pairs of secondary veins, with each pair branching from the middle primary vein at approximately a 45° angle. The veins each curve broadly from the primary vein towards the leaf margin and, with the exception of the basal secondary pair, forking once from the lower side of the vein. The veins that fork from the secondaries angling out to the margin as a craspedodromous vein that reaches the margin, or as a camptodromous vein that curves right before reaching the margin.
This is a large, evergreen tree, up to 35 m tall and with a dbh of up to 100 cm. As with all other species of Magnolia, the twigs have stipules that enclose the twig tips and leave conspicuous circular scars after falling off. The leaves are spirally arranged, usually oblong, rather small for a Magnolia (usually 6-9 x 3-4.5 cm) and, like the other parts of the plant, almost completely glabrous. Only on the upper side of the petiole and on the lower side of the lamina, next to the midrib, there is a thin, but conspicuous line of brown hairs.
The aperture is narrowly oval, pointed above, with an oblique, short, rather open and gradually contracted siphonal canal in front. The outer lip is a rather depressed convex curve, a little concave at the top and flattened toward the point: on leaving the body it retreats at once, forming a shallow, blunt V-shaped sinus, from the lower side of which, with little of angulation, it advances very straight to the edge of the siphonal canal, whence it slowly curves backward round the open point of the snout. The inner lip spreads as a very narrow porcellaneous glaze. It runs very obliquely to the base of the shortish narrow columella, below which point it is a very little hollowed.
The starry flounder (Platichthys stellatus), also known as the grindstone, emery wheel and long-nosed flounder, is a common flatfish found around the margins of the North Pacific. The distinctive features of the starry flounder include the combination of black and white-to-orange bar on the dorsal and anal fins, as well as the skin covered with scales modified into tiny star- shaped plates or tubercles (thus both the common name and species epithet), resulting in a rough feel. The eyed side is black to dark brown, while the lower side is white or cream-colored. Although classed as "righteye flounders," individuals may have their eyes on either the right or left side.
Both have flat or nearly flat backs and arched tops. The so-called a-style mandolin has a teardrop-shaped body; the f-style mandolin is more stylized, with a spiraled wooden cone on the upper side and a couple of points on the lower side. There are also two types of sound holes, the classic round or oval hole, and the more modern pair of f-holes similar to those found on a violin. Both the shape of the instrument and the shape of the holes affect the tone of the instrument; the f-style, f-hole mandolins have the brightest, most penetrating sound, while the a-style, round holed mandolins generally have a fuller, sweeter tone.
Cholodny and Went proposed that auxin is synthesized in the coleoptile tip, which senses light and sends the auxin down the shady side of the coleoptile, causing asymmetric growth with the shoot bending towards the light source. Later experiments by Dolk in 1930 showed that auxin moved from a source along a horizontal coleoptile section, concentrating along the bottom of the section and thus causing the shoot to bend upward. The Cholodny–Went model for the phototropic movement of shoots was later extended to gravitropism of roots, where auxin was thought to inhibit rather than stimulate growth and to accumulate in the lower side of a root section, causing the root to bend downward.
Three lower and four upper incisors are known. As is usual in mammals with similarly shaped (gliriform) incisors, the lower incisors are more laterally compressed, are less curved, form a greater angle between the front side and the wear facet at the tip, and are less elliptical in shape than the uppers. The enamel band is restricted to the side that faces the lips in both the lower and upper incisors (the lower side in the lowers and the upper side in the uppers). The specimen MACN Pv-RN 975, first described by Kielan-Jaworowska and Bonaparte in 1996, may be a jaw fragment of Ferugliotherium, although it has also been identified as an unrelated multituberculate.
The wire's track will refill as soon as pressure is relieved, so the ice block will remain solid even after wire passes completely through. This experiment is possible for ice at −10 °C or cooler, and while essentially valid, the details of the process by which the wire passes through the ice are complex. The phenomenon works best with high thermal conductivity materials such as copper, since latent heat of fusion from the top side needs to be transferred to the lower side to supply latent heat of melting. In short, the phenomenon in which ice converts to liquid due to applied pressure and then re-converts to ice once the pressure is removed is called regelation.
Ornithogalum species are perennial bulbous geophytes with basal leaves. Sensu lato, the genus has the characteristics of the tribe Ornithogaleae as a whole, since the tribe is monotypic in that sense. Sensu stricto, the genus is characterised by long linear to oblong-lanceolate (lance-shaped) leaves, sometimes with a white longitudinal band on the adaxial (upper) side, an inflorescence that is corymbose or pseudocorymbose, tepals that are white with a longitudinal green band only visible on the abaxial (lower) side, a capsule that is obovate or oblong, and truncate with six noticeable ribs in section and seeds that are globose with a prominently reticulate (net-like pattern) testa. The bulbs are ovoid with free or concrescent scales.
These vertebrae were almost circular in shape, and the first two bore a narrow keel in the middle of the upper side. The rib facets of the tail vertebrae were located on the lower side of the centra, and their oval shape became larger and broader from the third vertebra and onwards, but became smaller from the 14th vertebra. Here, the pre-zygapophyses also reached over the level of the centra for most of their length, while the post-zygapophyses reached over this level by half their length. The lower part of the centra were rounded from the first to the third tail vertebrae, but concave from the fourth to the 18th.
However, chronic stress occurs in some social primates (Sapolsky studies baboons) for individuals on the lower side of the social dominance hierarchy. Sapolsky focuses on the effects of glucocorticoids on the human body, stating that such hormones may be useful to animals in the wild escaping their predators, (see Fight-or-flight response) but the effects on humans, when secreted at high quantities or over long periods of time, are much less desirable. Sapolsky relates the history of endocrinology, how the field reacted at times of discovery, and how it has changed through the years. While most of the book focuses on the biological machinery of the body, the last chapter of the book focuses on self-help.
Although the bones bordering the lower temporal fenestra (an opening behind the orbit) were incomplete, it appears to have been elongated and slit-like (as in Tupuxuara and Tapejara). Life restoration of a T. sethi pair in flight The palatal area at the tip of T. sethi's snout was a sharp ridge, similar to the keel seen on the upper surface of the mandibular symphysis where the two halves of the lower jaw connected. Small slit-like foramina (openings) on the lower side edges of the ridge indicate that it had a horny covering in life, similar to Tupandactylus. The lower edge of the area was somewhat curved, which probably created a small gap when the jaws were closed.
Flea larva showing red ingested blood; head is positioned on lower side of image The larva of the cat flea has a grub-like appearance and is ~2 mm in length. The larvae are negatively phototaxic/phototropic, avoiding light and hiding in the substrate around them. The larvae require adequate ambient moisture and warmth, and will die at temperatures near freezing. While in this developmental stage the larvae will feed on a variety of organic substances, but the most important dietary item for them is the crumbs of dried blood that continually fall like snow out of the haircoat of the host after it has been excreted by the adult fleas as fecal material.
MacIsaac however explained in a 2014 interview for the Celtic Colours Festival that during his first fiddle lesson with Stan Chapman when his father asked if he should change the strings around the other way, Stan said "Well, if you change the strings on your fiddle, you'll never be able to play anyone else's fiddle. So if he's gonna learn that way, learn that way". In the same interview, MacIsaac also elaborated that his unorthodox playing style allows the lower notes to remain on the lower side of the fiddle, and this allows him to go up to the higher notes; he said it "just makes sonic sense" to him to have the strings upside down.
The title Sogno n° 1 is a paraphrase of "Sogno numero due", a track from De André's 1973 album Storia di un impiegato (he never actually wrote or recorded a "Sogno numero uno"). Dori Ghezzi chose it because hearing her late husband's voice over all-new orchestral backgrounds was a dream come true for her. From Dori Ghezzi's liner notes in the CD booklet. The artwork for the album, created by designer Arturo Bertusi for the Chiaroscuro Creative design company in Bologna, is a CG combination of the Genoa port skyline on the upper side, and the Westminster skyline on the lower side, symbolizing an ideal union of De André's hometown and London.
Lower side panels and/or gates of sheet metal, timber or conveyor belting are used in some cases to ensure animals' legs do not get caught and reduce the likelihood of operator injury. At least one side gate is usually split to allow access to various parts of the animal being held, as well as providing access to feed a calf, amongst other things. A squeeze crush has a manual or hydraulic mechanism to squeeze the animal from the sides, immobilizing the animal while keeping bruising to a minimum. A sliding entrance gate, operated from the side of the crush, is set a few feet behind the captured animal to allow for clearance and prevent other animals entering.
The T-62 has 5% thicker armour on the front of the hull (102 mm at 60°) and 15% thicker armour on the front of the turret (242 mm) than the T-54/T-55. The turret armour is 153 mm thick on the sides, 97 mm thick on the rear and 40 mm thick on the roof. The hull armour is 79 mm thick on the upper sides, 46 mm thick at 0° on the rear and 20 mm thick on the bottom. Although the armour on the front of the hull is thicker than in the T-55, the lower side armour (15 mm) and the roof armour (31 mm) are actually thinner.
The introduction of the blue shield with the white cross as the heraldic device to represent Greece occurred on , when the regency which was governing Greece on behalf of its first king, Otto, announced the official design for the coat of arms. Approved by Prime Minister Josef Ludwig von Armansperg, it detailed the entire heraldic achievement and described, in Greek and German, its constituent parts. The lesser arms are described as an "equidistant azure escutcheon, pointed towards the middle of its lower side, and containing the Greek cross, argent, bearing at its centre a smaller escutcheon with the lozenges of the Royal House of Bavaria." The shade of blue is specified as light blue ().
Depending on the location of the transponder relative to the aircraft, the blip would be longer on the left or right of the azimuth display, allowing the operator to guide the aircraft to the transponder using exactly the same methods as a conventional aircraft intercept. Due to the physical location of the transponder, on the ground, the receiver antenna with the best view of the transponder was the one mounted under the wing. The radar operator would normally pick up the signal on the lower side of the elevation display, even at very long distances. Since the signal from the beacon was quite powerful, the Mk. IV included a switch that set the timebase to for long-distance pickup.
K2C1 assault rifle with mounted vertical foregrip To enhance the domestic appeal, S&T; Motiv created the K2A, which retains the full-length K2's features (including bayonet lug) while utilizing the upgrades of K2C including the upper receiver/handguard Picatinny rail, M4-style adjustable stock. Later, it was renamed K2C1 (C="Exterior design changed without performance improvements", by the South Korean Defense Specification) and adopted by ROK forces. K2C1 had several changes compared to K2A, including a new extended handguard rail with optional lower/side pictinny rail sections, flattop upper receiver with a detachable rear backup sight, and a new Magpul CTR-like adjustable stock. As of 2016, 200,000 K2C1s are in service with frontline troops.
The suture is a little impressed, rather oblique. The aperture is small and narrow, pear-shaped, scarcely angulated above, and drawn out into a rather narrow siphonal canal in front. The outer lip is regularly curved above and flat in front; the edge retires slightly below the suture, so as to form the deep rather narrow sinus, whose lower side is made by the very high and prominent shoulder, which advances very far forward, and still continues to do so though more slightly on to the edge of the canal, where it again retires to the left. The inner lip has a thin glaze on the body and columella whose union is very slightly concave.
Poterioceratidae is a family of nautiloid cephalopods included in the Oncocerida that lived during the period from the Early Devonian to the Early Carboniferous (Mississippian). Members of the Poterioceratidae are distinguished by a subcircular to compressed exogastric shell (curved upwardly so as the lower side, the venter, is convex viewed from the side) that has no hyponomic sinus and a central to subcentral siphuncle composed of subquadrate to nummuloidal segments in which the septal necks are more strongly curved on the upper, or dorsal side. This is opposite from the Karoceratidae in which siphuncle segments are inflated ventrally but straight dorsally. Some poterioceratid genera have actinosiphonate structures or annular deposits within the siphuncle.
The shoots are whitish to pale buff, and glabrous (hairless). The leaves are needle-like, 1.7-3.2 cm long, slender, rhombic to slightly flattened in cross-section, glossy green on the upper side, with two conspicuous blue-white stomatal bands on the lower side. The cones are cylindric-conic, 6–12 cm long and 2 cm broad, green or tinged reddish when young, maturing glossy orange-brown to red-brown and opening to 3 cm broad, 5–7 months after pollination; the scales are moderately stiff, with a bluntly pointed apex. Sikkim spruce is occasionally grown as an ornamental tree in large gardens in western and central Europe for its attractive pendulous branchlets.
In the 1990s PDAs became widely used, and in 1999 were combined with mobile phones in Japan to produce the first mass-market smartphone. Timex Datalink USB Dress edition with Invasion video game. The watch crown (icontrol) can be used to move the defender left to right and the fire control is the Start/Split button on the lower side of the face of the watch at 6 o' clock. In 1993, the Private Eye was used in Thad Starner's wearable, based on Doug Platt's system and built from a kit from Park Enterprises, a Private Eye display on loan from Devon Sean McCullough, and the Twiddler chording keyboard made by Handykey.
The first band is found along the costa of the forewings, the second from the abdominal margin of hindwings close to the base, to the outer margin of forewings above the middle. The third runs across the centre of the hindwings from the abdominal margin below the middle to the costa before the apex. All these stripes are parallel to each other and are perfectly straight and even; the second stripe has two white spots at its extremity on the outer margin of the wing and a more or less distinguishable white band running inside it. The third stripe has a more distinct white band which is dentate and edged on its lower side with brown.
The hyponastic response is an upward bending of leaves or other plant parts, resulting from accelerated growth of the lower side of the petiole in comparison to its upper part. This can be observed in many terrestrial plants and is linked to the plant hormone Ethylene as a plant hormone#ethylene. The plant’s root senses the water excess and produces 1-Aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid which then is converted into ethylene, regulating this process.(Manual interactivo de fisiología vegetal;Facultad de Agronomía;Montevideo) Submerged plants often show the hyponastic response, where the upward bending of the leaves and the elongation of the petioles might help the plant to restore normal gas exchange with the atmosphere.
It is extracted from the seeds of Cytisus laborinum L. (Golden Rain acacia) and has been available in former socialist economy (FSE) countries for more than 40 years as an aid to smoking cessation under the brand name Tabex produced by the Bulgarian pharmaceutical company Sopharma AD. It was first marketed in Bulgaria in 1964 and then became widely available in FSE countries. In Poland it is sold under the brand name Desmoxan. In 2011, a randomized controlled trial with 740 patients found cytisine improved 12-month abstinence from nicotine from 2.4% with placebo to 8.4% with cytisine. A 2013 meta-analysis of eight studies demonstrated that cytisine has similar effectiveness to varenicline but with substantially lower side effects.
The portrait itself is created with a highly illusionistic trompe l'oeil effect. It appears as if the head of the sitter is peeking out through a big gash in the canvas the lower side of which he holds down with his right hand. The effect thus created resembles that in some of the illusionistic portraits of the Dutch painters Gerard Dou and Samuel van Hoogstraten which show people extending their head or hand through a painted window. Van Houbraken goes one step further in creating the illusion that the portrayed person and the canvas are part of the same reality by letting the sitter peek out from an illusory gash in the canvas.
Rapperswil and the peninsula area called Endingen and Lindenhof as seen from ZSG motorship Panta Rhei (February 2010) Rapperswil Peninsula is a peninsula located in Rapperswil on the northeastern Lake Zürich shore in Switzerland. On the northwest, Kempratnerbucht (bay of Kempraten) is situated, on the south Seedamm respectively Holzbrücke Rapperswil-Hurden is linking both shores of the lake respectively Obersee (upper Lake Zürich). Kapuzinerkloster Rapperswil (Capuchin monastery), Rapperswil Castle and partially the Altstadt of the city of Rapperswil is located on this rocky peninsula, in Swiss German usually called Endingen on its western lower side, Lindenhof on its western and Herrenberg on its eastern hilltop. Neither "Rapperswil Peninsula" nor the Swiss German term "Rapperswiler Halbinsel" or "Halbinsel von Rapperswil" is commonly used.
The grade line was located 1 foot below the surface of the ground on the lower side and a 4-foot lower bank was provided. The removal of 1 or 2 feet of the upper moss and soil put the bottom of the ditch into a mixture of ground ice and muck, much of which was almost clear ice. This material thawed when the water was turned in, and as a result a large part of the bottom of the ditch has settled at least 2 feet and the ditch has widened in many places to 15 or 20 feet or more. As the upper bank thawed, material was thrown against the lower bank to protect it and to keep the water from getting under it.
This unit had a pivoting handgun-style grip, trigger and gunsight at its center, to aim the guns vertically—with both turrets elevating and depressing together when operated - and horizontally, in pivoting each gun separately, outward away from the fuselage side when aimed to one side or the other. The rear of the cockpit canopy's lower side glazing panels were bulged out to allow the gunner to see in almost any rearward-facing direction. The guns were electrically fired, and an electrical contact breaker acted as a form of "interrupter" as used on many forms of multi-engined, turret-armed WW II aircraft, preventing the gunner from shooting off the Me 210's tailplane. An order for 1,000 Me 210s was placed before the prototype had flown.
X. The tank is constructed of welded mild steel plate with cork lagged cone roof, positioned on a foundation of sand filled concrete. The tank is encased in brick work, on which the name "Ampol" has been painted. The valves and manholes around the base of the tank are protected by brick housing. The tank is seated in an excavated compound with earth banked up to a height of on its lower side, which was likely designed to contain leaks but from which rain water could be drained via a drain pipe. There is a steel stairway to the top of the tank consisting of two straight sections 19' (5.79 m) long and 2' (61 cm) wide with handrails and landing with handrails.
Tobias Guitars was established in Orlando, Florida in April 1977. The vast majority of Tobias instruments are of neck-through construction, a style of neck-body assembly where the neck of the instrument is a single piece of wood that extends through the body and had the sides of the bass glued to it rather than being bolted on. However, once purchased by Gibson in 1990, a few bolt-on models were produced such as the Killer-B (with the "B" in the name standing for "bolt-on") as well as the Growler Basses. Tobias basses also were among the first to feature an asymmetrical neck, a design where the neck is thinner on the lower side than the upper.
The water vapor with condensed droplets often seen billowing from power stations is created by the cooling systems (not directly from the closed-loop Rankine power cycle). This 'exhaust' heat is represented by the "Qout" flowing out of the lower side of the cycle shown in the T–s diagram below. Cooling towers operate as large heat exchangers by absorbing the latent heat of vaporization of the working fluid and simultaneously evaporating cooling water to the atmosphere. While many substances could be used as the working fluid in the Rankine cycle, water is usually the fluid of choice due to its favorable properties, such as its non-toxic and unreactive chemistry, abundance, and low cost, as well as its thermodynamic properties.
If a ship floods, the loss of stability is caused by the increase in KB, the centre of buoyancy, and the loss of waterplane area - thus a loss of the waterplane moment of inertia - which decreases the metacentric height. This additional mass will also reduce freeboard (distance from water to the deck) and the ship's angle of down flooding (minimum angle of heel at which water will be able to flow into the hull). The range of positive stability will be reduced to the angle of down flooding resulting in a reduced righting lever. When the vessel is inclined, the fluid in the flooded volume will move to the lower side, shifting its centre of gravity toward the list, further extending the heeling force.
The power mirror control moved from the right of the steering column on the instrument panel to a new location on the upper end of the driver's door armrest, while the power seat switches (previously mounted on the face of the seat base) were relocated to the lower side trim of the seat base facing the door panels. The 3-channel garage door opener base mounted on the header panel above the windshield was eliminated when a new sun visor design was introduced this year. Traction control was added – the first front-wheel drive automobile with a V8 to be equipped as such. The system was designed to cut fuel to up to four cylinders to reduce power and optimize traction.
In Hologymnosus longipes the females are pale greenish-yellow to bluish-grey and have two 2 rows of vertically elongated orange spots on their body which continues on to the head where they merge to form stripes. The tail fin varies in colour from orange to yellow. Males are greenish, fading to whitish below, have a green head which as a pattern of pink bars radiating out from the eye, They also have orange bars on the flanks which fade to pale lavenderish-blue to purple on lower side towards the head. the males also have an oval black spot on the flanks above the pectoral fin, and a large, whitish patch on the posterior of the blue-coloured caudal fin.
The castle is situated on a hill, called the lapel hill, above the historical centre of Matera. In Aragonese style, the castle, with a central male and two lower side towers, one and the other round, scalloped and equipped with loops, was built from 1501 by Giovanni Carlo Tramontano, Count of Matera. The new king of Naples, Ferdinand II, had promised the Materrani not to give the city to any more feudal lords, after that this had already freed itself several times from the feudal yoke paying various ransoms in order to remain free city to autonomous regiment, that is directly dependent on the Crown. Instead the Count sets, which boasted claims against the royal treasury, asked and obtained the Matera County in 1496.
There are two openings through the head of Bothriolepis: a keyhole opening along the midline on the upper side for the eyes and nostrils and an opening for the mouth on the lower side near the anterior end of the head. A discovery regarding preserved structures that appear to be nasal capsules confirms the belief that the external nasal openings lay on the dorsal side of the head near the eyes. Additionally, the position of the mouth on the ventral side of the skull is consistent with the typical horizontal resting orientation of Bothriolepis. It had a special feature on its skull, a separate partition of bone below the opening for the eyes and nostrils enclosing the nasal capsules called a preorbital recess.
The inductor which is marked as L0 is connected in series with the supply voltage in order to reduce the higher harmonic means here this inductor is working as a filter circuit. Let us look at the working of this meter. Now when we apply voltage at standard frequency then the pointer will take normal position, if there increase the frequency of the applied voltage then we will see that the pointer will moves towards left marked as higher side as shown in the circuit diagram. Again we reduce the frequency the pointer will start moving towards the right side, if lower the frequency below the normal frequency then it cross the normal position to move towards left side marked lower side as shown in the figure.
Perpendicular slot duplex socket Perpendicular slot RP-2B socket 10 A 42 V AC Another obsolete socket, made by Bryant, 125 V 15 A and 250 V 10 A rating. A NEMA 5‐20 125 V 20 A or 6‐20 250 V 20 A plug with a missing earth pin would fit this socket, but a NEMA 2‐20 plug is slightly too big to fit. The upper slots as seen in the illustration connect to silver- coloured wiring screws on the upper side, and the lower slots connect to brass-coloured wiring screws on the lower side. In Australia, the same or similar T-configuration sockets are used for DC power sockets, such as in stand-alone power systems (SAPS), on boats and in police vehicles.
Fort Nelson. This shows the left trunnion (detailed in black) by which it is mounted on a Vavasseur recoil slide, and there are no lugs on the underside of the breech ring The preceding generation of British 6-inch guns (BL Mks III, IV and VI) had old-style trunnions by which they were mounted on Vavasseur inclined slides to absorb recoil. QF Mk I and II dispensed with trunnions and instead on the lower side of the breech ring were lugs to which were attached modern recoil buffer and hydrospring recuperator (runout) cylinders to absorb recoil and return the barrel to loading position after firing. This allowed the gun to recoil directly backwards rather than backwards and upwards as previously and is the recoil system which in essence is still in use.
The two species are similar in size, but again differ in details of the dentition. In two specimens of D. chimaera, the length and width of the m2 are 5 and 4.3 mm and 5.4 and 4.8 mm respectively; this tooth is 5.4 mm long and 4.9 mm wide in the only known specimen of Dermotherium major. The Pakistani M2 of Dermotherium is 4.3 mm long and 6 mm wide, compared to 4.7 and 6.6 mm in the only known M2 of D. chimaera from Thailand. The lower jaw of Dermotherium major resembles that of living colugos in the presence of a strong angular process (a projecting piece of bone at the lower side of the back of the jawbone) and a retromolar space (a flat space behind the last molars).
This reliquary is considered to be the best of its type to survive and replicas of it are displayed in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, in the Museums of Cultural History and of Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo and in the Cultural History Collection of the Bergen Museum in Bergen.Further evidence of the popularity of the cult of Thomas Becket in Valdres might be seen from the St. Thomas Church in the Filefjell mountain pass between Valdres and Sogn. The chasse from this church is in the Bergen Museum, but is in a more ruinous condition than the chasse in Hedalen. This chasse also has dragonheads and has five arches piecing its lower side, a feature it shares with the representation of a chasse in the Sør-Aurdal coat of arms.
Entrance to the Santa Maria della Carità showing two columns from the Basilica of San Pietro de Dom To date there are only two historically reliable and sufficiently clear depictions of the basilica. The first is the miniature on the cover of the Estimo della città di Brescia of 1588, which depicted the eastern side of the Piazza del Duomo, showing the Broletto palace with the Torre del Popolo tower, the Old Cathedral with its campanile (which collapsed in the 18th century), and the basilica itself in an emerging central body with two lower side aisles covered by sloping roofs. A roseate window appears in the upper middle, while below, the entrance portal opens. The building does not quite abut the street (today's Via Querini) but is separated by a set of houses.
The opportunity for Jacobs to participate more fully in direct action came just days after King's death. Columbia University officials were planning to build a new gymnasium on the south side of the campus. The building, which would have straddled a hill, would have two entrances—one on the north, upper side for students and one on the south, lower side for residents of Morningside Heights, a mostly African American neighborhood. To many students and local residents, it seemed as if Columbia were permitting blacks to use the gym, but only if they entered through the back door. On April 23, 1968, Rudd, Jacobs, and other members of Columbia's SDS chapter led a group of about 500 people in a protest against the gymnasium at the university Sundial.
After a near fall from the high staging needed to reach the Newtonian focus of the telescope Common decided to convert the telescope to a Cassegrain configuration for safer use. To avoid having to bore a hole in the 60 inch primary mirror he mounted a diagonal flat mirror just in front of it to bring the image out to a focus at the lower side of the telescope. He was not satisfied with how this configuration worked and that, combined with his attention being diverted to other projects and the ever more light polluted skies west of London, meant the telescope fell into disuse. After Common's death the telescope with its two 60 inch mirrors and other secondary optics was purchased from his estate and installed at the Harvard College Observatory.
36 ("The Harrow Chequers have scratched to the Civil Service") The same occurrence happened in the next Cup against Leyton. In 1876, the Athletic News reported that the club had changed its name to the "Old Harrovians"(28 October 1876). The Athletic News, Athletic News ("The Harrow Chequers, under their new and more appropriate, designation of Old Harrovians, opened their season at Harrow on Saturday". The lineup for the Old Harrovians was: R. de C. Welch (captain), and E.E. Bowen, backs; M.P. Betts and F.D. Simpson, upper side, F.B. Howell and G. Macan, lower side, C. Colbeck, C.C. Bowley, H.F. Blaine, G. Lane, A.A. Hadow, and H. Carlisle) The name "Old Harrovians" had previously been used to describe matches contested by old Harrow pupils, such as against Old Etonians,(17 November 1872).
Externally, three-church basilicas look like a conventional three-aisled basilica, presenting a similar outline, with the high central section covered by a gable roof and the lower side sections, each covered by a mono-pitched roof. However, unlike a conventional three-aisled basilica—terminating in a sanctuary on the east and possessing north and south aisles—a three-church basilica was designed so that there was either no direct communication between the central nave and the side aisles except through a narthex at the west end or, alternatively, they were only accessed through one door from the central nave into the auxiliary space formed by the aisles. The aisles were commonly semi-open due to the central sections of the north and south exterior walls being replaced by an arched arcade.
The lemon-striped pygmy hogfish is a small slender wrasse (?) which has obvious, wide, horizontal red stripes which run from the head along the body in large adults; one strip runs along the back and inner part of the dorsal fin, another from the nose along the flanks ends in a spot on the upper caudal fin peduncle, while a third stripe runs along the lower side and lower part of the anal fin onto the caudal fin. There is a distinct black spot on the operculum. The gaps between the red stripes may be yellow. The body colour and pattern changes with age and mature males in what is known as the terminal-phase are similar to the above description but have a larger and prominent red spot on the upper part of the base of the caudal fin.
The playfield is a planar surface inclined upward from three to seven degrees (current convention is six and a half degrees), away from the player, and includes multiple targets and scoring objectives. Some operators intentionally extend threaded levelers on the rear legs and/or shorten or remove the levelers on the front legs to create additional incline in the playfield, making the ball move faster and harder to play. It is important that the playfield be level left-to-right; a quick visual test compares the top of the back cabinet against a brick or block wall behind it, or to roll a marble down the center of the playfield glass. If it clearly rolls off to one side, a player may be inclined to stuff folded paper beneath the legs on the lower side to level the playfield.
They had the tasks of keeping the documents of the village, collecting taxes and organise festivals; a large number of scales and coins, sometimes in gold were discovered. A cameo depicting a woman, perhaps Venus, holding a branch was also found. From the excavation journal and the detailed plan of La Vega, the villa was composed of three parts: the service area around the small peristyle with a statue- fountain of a Faun lying on a stone, which gave the villa its name and which seems out of place; to the west is a symmetrical sector with reception and living rooms decorated with paintings and mosaic floors; to the south is a triple portico with double row of columns, of which the lower side along the panoramic edge of about 46 m was excavated. The Lorillard company and family left the property in the Bronx in 1870 after relocating their business to Jersey City, NJ. The land was purchased by the New York City government in 1884 and was transferred to the New York Botanical Garden in 1915. The Mill was retained by New York City Department of Parks and Recreation and used for storage and shops until 1937 when it too was transferred to the Botanical Garden along with several other small parcels. The Mill was renovated in 1952-54 and a cafe and patio were installed on the lower side facing the Bronx River, and a meeting room was fashioned from the space that once held snuff-grinding equipment. The building had a $10.5 million restoration in 2010 and is now used for staff offices and a catering facility.
The forewings are ochreous grey, sometimes much suffused with whitish, especially towards the costa. There is a small blackish mark on the base of the costa and a rounded-triangular blackish blotch edged with whitish extending on the dorsum from one-fifth to beyond the middle, and reaching four-fifths across the wing. There is an oblique black white-edged strigula from the middle of costa and a rounded triangular dark fuscous blotch crossing the wing posteriorly, its base formed by a whitish line from five- sixths of the costa to the tornus, its lower side margined by a curved whitish line preceded by a blackish line, of which the extremity is somewhat enlarged to indicate the second discal stigma, edged anteriorly with whitish on the transverse vein. A black line is found on the apical portion of the costa.
The larva emerges early in the spring and feeds in the stalks and buds; full-grown pale olive-green, covered with short, whitish silky hair, on the sides three stripes darker than the ground and on the back a stripe yet darker than these; the lower side-stripes are so arranged that the lowest of one segment is a continuation of the next higher of the preceding segments; the sides reddish at the stigmata, white at the outer edge. Pupa pale olive-green with dark dorsal stripe, the wing-cases very transparent, bearing a minute reddish network and small thin white hairs; fastened low down at the stalks of Geranium (Mc Dunnough). The butterflies are on the wing in July and August, and very closely resemble L. eumedon in their habits of flight, feeding, etc., but are far less plentiful.
The main route of the Erie Canal from Buffalo to Albany ran through Watervliet, and because the canal bypassed the city of Troy, the city's business community decided a "short cut" was needed for convenient access to the Erie Canal without having to go through the Albany Basin. A side-cut to the Hudson was at Watervliet's present-day 23rd Street (the Upper Side cut) finished in 1823, and another just south of the Arsenal (the Lower Side cut). A weigh station and a center for paying canal boat operators was here as well. As a result of canal boat crews being paid at the end of their trip, the areas around the side cut was once famous for gambling, saloons, and prostitution; there were more than 25 saloons within two blocks, with names like The Black Rag and Tub of Blood.
The club was established in 1913 as VfR 1913 Oggersheim and in 1937 merged with SC Eintracht Oggersheim, which had been formed in 1924 as the football department of the gymnastics club Vereinigten Turnerschaft Oggersheim, to create SpVgg Oggersheim. The following year, all of the area clubs were reorganized into a single association known as Gemeinschaft für Leibesübungen Oggersheim. In the aftermath of World War II, occupying Allied authorities ordered the dissolution of all organizations in the country, including sports and football clubs, as part of the process of denazification. A new association was formed as ASV Oggersheim in 1945 and its football department became independent in 1949 as Fussball Sportverein Oggersheim. The footballers played as a lower tier lower side until winning their way to the third tier Amateurliga Südwest for a single season in 1963–64.
The organs are governed by four central nerves from each side of the electric lobe, or specialized brain lobe, which is of a different color from the rest of the brain. The main nerves branch repeatedly, then attach to the lower side of each plate in the batteries, which are composed of hexagonal columns, in honeycomb formation: each column consists of 140 to half a million gelatinous plates. In marine fish, these batteries are connected as a parallel circuit where freshwater batteries are found in series, transmitting discharges of higher voltage, as freshwater cannot conduct electricity as well as saltwater. With such a battery, an average electric ray may electrocute larger prey with a current of up to 30 amperes and a voltage of 50 to 200 volts, a similar effect to dropping a mains-powered hairdryer (large appliance plug of 110/220 volts in North America) into a bathtub.
Fukushima reactor has a hole, leading to leakage, Reuters, 12 May 2011 TEPCO had expected to increase the amount of water pumped to Unit 1 to compensate for any leakage from the holesNo.1 reactor is in a "meltdown" state, NHK, 13 May 2011. but decided on 15 May to abandon the plan after finding the Unit 1 basement was already half flooded.Japan nuclear: Tepco halts Fukushima cooling plan, BBC, 15 May 2011. On 5 May, ventilation systems were installed in the Reactor Building, to clean the highly radioactive air encapsulated in it. On 12 May, the water level gauge for the reactor was calibrated, and it was subsequently identified that the water level was lower than previously thought (as the water level went off the lower side of the gauge). On 13 May, preparatory work started on the installation of the Reactor Building covers.
The IS-7 heavy tank design began in Leningrad in 1945 by Nikolai Fedorovich Shashmurin Weighing 68 tonnes, thickly armoured and armed with a 130 mm S-70 long-barrelled gun, it was the largest and heaviest member of the IS family and one of the most advanced heavy tank designs. The armour was engineered in a similar fashion to the IS-3, with a pike nose on the upper glacis sporting 150mm of armor sloped at 65°. This armor was designed to defeat rounds from the Jagdtiger's 12.8 cm Pak 44 from as close as . The lower glacis was designed to be 100mm but a measure taken by Nicholas Moran found it to be as thick as 110-120mm depending on welding variations. The armor on the sides was also 150mm on the upper side plate and 100mm on the lower side plate.
The BTR-60PA introduced yet another step on each side of the hull between the second and third pair of wheels, as well as six horizontal hand rails on each side of the vehicle, three on the lower side and three on the upper side. The vertical ones were removed, while yet another angled horizontal one was added on the right-hand side of the hull next to the engine compartment. In the BTR-60PB, the number of hand rails decreased from six to five on each side of the hull; the rear upper hand rail was removed from he right side, whereas the center upper one was removed from the left side. The BTR-60P has two doors on each side of the troop compartment (one in the front and one in the rear), but infantry still had to dismount through the sides.
This basic idea was later expanded to allow the navigator's measurements to be automatically sent back to the bombsight, meaning the bomb aimer no longer had to do this during the approach. Since the other settings, like altitude and airspeed, were already automatically fed in from the aircraft instruments, this left only the selection of the elevation of the target over sea level to be set manually, which could be done before the mission. The other problem was that when the aircraft rolled, the signal hit the ground only on the lower side of the aircraft, filling one side of the display with a solid signal while the other side was blank. This was particularly annoying because it was during the last minute of the approach to the target that the navigator would be giving course corrections to the pilot, rendering the display unusable every time the pilot responded.
Jentz 1995, p. 132 thick spaced armour, known as Schürzen, intended to provide protection for the lower side hull from Soviet anti-tank rifle fire, was fitted on the hull side. Zimmerit coating against magnetic mines started to be applied at the factory on late Ausf D models beginning in September 1943;Jentz 1995, p. 45 an order for field units to apply Zimmerit to older versions of the Panther was issued in November 1943.Jentz 1995 p. 47 In September 1944, orders to stop all application of Zimmerit were issued, based on false rumours that hits on the Zimmerit had caused vehicle fires.Jentz 1995, p. 93 Panther with track segments hung on the turret sides to augment the armour. Panther crews were aware of the weak side armour and made augmentations by hanging track links or spare roadwheels onto the turret and/or the hull sides.
It withstood attack by Indians the following year, but was abandoned in 1779. George Washington's 1770 journey to the Ohio River Valley had been occasioned by military grants that had been awarded by proclamation in 1754 by Governor Dinwiddie to officers and soldiers who had served in the French and Indian War. The resulting survey encompassed 52,302 acres (or 80 square miles) and was subdivided in the 1780s as follows: 9,876 acres — including the present side of Point Pleasant — to Andrew Lewis, 5,000 acres for George Muse, 5,000 acres for Peter Hogg, 8,000 acres for Andrew Stephens, another 3,000 acres for Peter Hogg, another 5,026 acres for George Muse, 3,400 acres for Andrew Waggener, 6,000 acres for John Poulson, 6,000 acres for John West. On the lower side of the Kanawha River, 13,532 acres for Hugh Mercer (see Mercers Bottom) and, finally, 10,990 acres for Washington himself.
The creek begins at Tyoax Pass, at the divide between the basins of the Bridge River and that of Big Creek, which is a tributary of the Chilcotin River. Its upper course flows east, then turns south and then southeast, entering a progressively deeper canyon until just northeast of Tyaughton Lake, which is connected to it by a short creek, and then turns east-southeast between Pearson Ridge (SW) and Marshall Ridge (NE) in a continuation of its canyon until it emerges as a side-inlet of Carpenter Lake which was formed by the creation of Carpenter Lake. That inlet is bridged at the mouth of that inlet by BC Highway 40, also known as the Lillooet-Gold Bridge Road or the Carpenter Lake Road. Before the lake's creation its outlet was at the lower side of the road, and it was bridged by the predecessor route, then known as the Bridge River Road.
After the completion of the choir around 1430, the southern cross-arm and the traverses of the northern cross-arm and the southern aisle of the nave were completed between 1430 and 1450. The ship and transept of the church were roofed over in 1488 and the cross of the northern cross-arm and the transverse section were erected in 1489. The ship was only roofed over in 1532-1534. In 1535 the sacristy was built in the corner between the choir and the southern cross-arm. Mural depicting the retrieval from the Somme of the head and torso of St Quentin Between 1768 and 1774, the lower side sacristy was added. The Baroque entrance portal against the northern aisle was built in 1641. The low construction against the east side of the northern arm of the cross also dates from the 17th century. The largely Baroque church furniture was supplemented after 1796 with pieces from the demolished monastery of the Discalced Carmelites in the Naamsestraat.
The critical specification attached to the patent dated 26 May 1733 (No. 542) describes "A new invented shuttle, for the better and more exact weaving of broad cloths, broad bays, sail cloths or any other broad goods...by running on four wheels moves over the lower side of the web and spring, on a board about nine feet long... a small cord commanded by the hand of the weaver, the weaver, sitting in the middle of the loom, with great ease and expedition by a small pull at the cord casts or moves the said new invented shuttle from side to side", quoted in Mantoux (1928). It greatly accelerated weaving, by allowing the shuttle carrying the weft to be passed through the warp threads faster and over a greater width of cloth. It was designed for the broad loom, for which it saved labour over the traditional process, needing only one operator per loom (before Kay's improvements a second worker was needed to catch the shuttle).
The pelvis was distinct from those of other therizinosaurs in that the upper margin of the ilium had a pronounced overhang on the lower side and that the hindwards projecting process of the ischium was extensive, almost 50 percent of the front-to-back length of the . Some features of the pelvis were similar to that of Nothronychus, particularly the ischia, but it is uncertain whether these similarities were due to them having a common ancestor to the exclusion of other derived therizinosaurids, or because they retained basal features since lost in other relatives. The ischium of Segnosaurus was distinct from that of Nothronychus in that it had an almost-rectangular obturator process and an almost-circular obturator foramen. The pelvis was distinct from that of Enigmosaurus by its deep obturator process not fusing with its counterpart at the middle, by its unfused pubic boot, and because the lower part of the pubic shaft was wide from front to back.
The baby sits on a teeter- totter on the stage and eats his Cracker Jack. A performer, who not a moment before hung from the nose rings of two trapeze artists, breaks the rings of those same and falls onto the upper side of the see-saw on whose lower side sits the small child: up goes the baby, into the air and onto the platform of a trapeze artist about to jump. The child grabs the ankles of the performer: another trapezist leaps from an opposite platform and catches, not the legs of his partner, but the baby thereon hanging. The trapeze artists swing such that the performer hanging onto the baby is stuck stretching the fabric of the child's garment: the man knocks down four tightrope walkers stacked on top of one another, and then falls on account of the garment breaking under the strain, and lands in the large brass horn of a band member, the which instrument's playing propels the performer upward, back to the baby, from whom he swiftly falls.
The last, and most numerous production version, the Scout D, gradually came about as the result of a series of further improvements to the Scout C design. One of the earliest changes appeared on seventeen of the 75 naval Scout Cs with an increase in the wing dihedral angle from ° to 3° and other aircraft in the 75 aircraft naval production run introduced a larger-span set of horizontal tail surfaces and a broadened-chord rudder, shorter-span ailerons and a large front opening for the cowl, much like that of Scout B but made without the external stiffening ribs instead. The newer cowl was sometimes modified with a blister on the starboard lower side for more efficient exhaust-gas scavenging, as it was meant to house the eventual choice of the more powerful, nine-cylinder 100 hp Gnôme Monosoupape B2 rotary engine in later production batches, to improve the Scout D's performance. Some 210 examples of the Scout D version were produced, with 80 of these being ordered by the RNAS and the other 130 being ordered by the Royal Flying Corps.
Conscious of the avalanche that killed seven porters on the 1922 expedition, team members were circumspect in their approach to the sometimes vertical 1,000 ft ice wall that led up the col. A Camp IIIa was established at its foot to ease the difficulties of climbing this wall; eventually, the route taken by the 1924 expedition proving impossible – "it would take weeks to cut steps up this slope",Ruttledge (1941), p. 115. – the same route as was taken in 1922 was selected, leading to a shelf on the lower side of a crevasse below the col, which was to be the site of Camp IV. Smythe, Shipton, Greene, Longland, Wyn- Harris, Wager and Brocklebank climbed the slope and equipped it with fixed ropes between 8 and 15 May; each day the steps they cut would be filled with snow, making re-ascent laborious. Smythe and Shipton made the final ascent over a vertical ice section to the ledge using combined tactics on 12 May ("a fine effort of ice-craft, which evoked a sincere recognition")Ruttledge (1941), p. 120.
Original design of the coat of arms of Pichilemu as published in the December 1986 edition of Pichilemu The shield is divided party per cross: that is, it is divided in four equal parts. The first quarter is or, and the remaining are bleu celeste. According to descriptions by the designer of the coat of arms, Hernán Martínez Morales, in the December 1986 edition of Pichilemu, the forest and sea quarter, which has a yellow background, portrays "the richness of the area, its potential;" the windsurf boards quarter, which like the two remaining quarters has a sky blue background, depicts the tourism in Pichilemu, water sports, and "the exceptional conditions for their practice;" the sea quarter represents "the men who work at the sea, in a symbolic manner;" the fourth quarter represents the local agriculture, "with the country and a spur." The name of the commune, Pichilemu is written in the upper side of the coat of arms, while the date of creation of the commune is located in the lower side ("22-XII 1891", originally had incorrectly inscribed "21-XII 1891").
The road follows the route of ancient trails and footpaths as did many Indian roads, along the highlands and connected to the road along the descent from the Cumberland Narrows mountain pass (later descended via the upland community of present-day Uniontown, Pennsylvania) to the ford Monongahela River below the bluffs known as Redstone Old Fort (Later became Brownsville with the "forks of the Ohio" (eventual site of Pittsburgh, a distance of . It later became the road connecting Pittsburgh with Brownsville, Pennsylvania, and from there via Nemacolin's Path to Virginia and points further east and further West to a similar crossing at present-day Wheeling, West Virginia. Brownsville was attractive as a point on the Eastern Emigrant Trails where travelers could reach river boat construction on the water levels of the Mississippi watershed--or continue across Washington County on the wagon roads westward to cross the (West) Virginia pan handle to reach lower central Ohio and points west. It was a major route for travel by stagecoach and emigrants driving Conestoga Wagons to Northern Ohio (often via Youngstown, Ohio WNW of Pittsburgh or Northwestwards for the lower side of the Great Lakes.
Originally, rhinestones were rock crystals gathered from the river Rhine, hence the name, although some were also found in areas like the Alps, but today the name "rhinestone" applies only to varieties of lead glass known as crystal glass. The availability was greatly increased in the 18th century when the Alsatian jeweller Georg Friedrich Strass had the idea to imitate diamonds by coating the lower side of lead glass with metal powder. Hence, rhinestones are called strass in many European languages. As opposed to the classic rhinestones, which had a metal powder coating on the bottom side only, several companies have opted to mass-produce iridescent lead glass, by reducing the metal coating thickness and applying it uniformly, not using metal powder with a binder but by applying various forms of metal deposition (thin foil, vapor deposition, etc): Favrile glass by Tiffany in 1894, Carnival glass under the name "Iridrill" by Fenton in 1908, "Aurora Borealis" glass by Swarovski in 1956 and PVD-coated dichroic glass in the late 20th century, amongst many other decorative lead glasses coated with a thin metal layer sold under various commercial names such as "rainbow glass", "aurora glass" and such.
