However, the instrumentation on Chapline's device failed, and there was no way to know if the system had worked or not. It was at this time that Congress directed that $10 million be given to both LLNL and Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) for weapons tests on entirely new concepts. Chapline was given the go-ahead to plan for a new test that would be dedicated to the X-ray laser concept. In the DNA tests, the reentry vehicle had to be retrieved for study after the test, which demanded the complex system of protective doors and other techniques that made these tests very expensive.
Construction of Blackburn King Street TMD, which was then provisionally known as "King Street depot", was given the go ahead to commence by Blackburn with Darwen Council in September 2016, as part of a wider investment package in the area's rail infrastructure. The location selected for the new depot, which was known as "The Wrangling", was the site of disused coal sidings near to station on the East Lancashire line. Built by the Stowe- based Buckingham Group at a cost of £23 million, construction of Blackburn King Street was completed on schedule in August 2017, with official opening taking place in October. The depot became operational in November 2017.
In this system, PAR was not only used for early detection and track generation, but was now responsible for long-range guidance of the Spartan as it passed out of the range of the MSRs, requiring further upgrades and making them even more important in the overall battle. The system as a whole also had to have greatly improve data communications as targets would be handed off from radar to radar. In the end, PAR looked a lot like a less-capable version of the original MAR it had intended to replace. In September 1967, General Electric was given the go-ahead to begin development of a production PAR system.
The Three attempts to kill Anders, but Caprica Six and Valerii (Number Eight), having decided to sympathize with the human cause, turn against Three and allow Anders to escape. During the episodes "Lay Down Your Burdens", Parts I and II, Thrace is finally given the go-ahead to lead a group of Raptors to Caprica and gather the survivors. Once found, Anders's team comes under attack by Cylon Centurions who discover their encampment and drive them out, forcing the heavily outnumbered resistance group deep into the wilderness where they take cover in a ravine. After an unsettling 18-hour standoff, the team discovers the Cylons have completely withdrawn from the area.
The SRU redeveloped Murrayfield Stadium, which is the main home ground of the Scottish national team starting 1993. Rugby union became professional in 1995. When the Heineken Cup was suggested SRU officials were concerned that Scottish club sides could not compete against the best teams from France and England and that Scotland's District teams might do better if they became centrally funded. The SRU professionalised the traditional Districts of Glasgow District, Edinburgh District, South and North and Midlands as the respective provincial clubs Glasgow Warriors, Edinburgh Rugby, Border Reivers and Caledonia Reds. In 1996 these provincial professional clubs were given the go- ahead to take part in Europe.
Planning permission was given for the gas-fired power station as early as 1993, and construction originally began in 1998 by the previous owner National Power, temporarily ceasing in 2000 due to market saturation and low returns on electricity generation (high gas costs versus low electricity prices). Construction restarted in early 2008, after RWE decided to proceed with Staythorpe in May 2007 in preference to development at an alternate site in Pembrokeshire Pembroke. The Pembrokeshire site was given the go ahead to proceed alongside Staythorpe in February 2009 once environmental conditions were assured to be met. The project at Staythorpe will be constructed under an Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Alstom Power.

On 5 December 2017 the Stadio della Roma project, after experiencing five years worth of delays due to conflicting interests from various parties in the Roman city government, was given the go-ahead to begin construction. It is slated to open in time for the 2020–21 season and will replace the Stadio Olimpico as Roma's ground. In the 2017–18 UEFA Champions League group stage, Roma were drawn in a tough Group C with Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Qarabag. However, after performing strongly in the group stage, including a 3–0 home victory against Chelsea, Roma progressed to the knockout stages as Group C winners after Diego Perotti's lone goal in a 1–0 win over Qarabag.
Double Fine believed they were given the go-ahead to develop a sequel to Brütal Legend after the game's release, and had invested a great deal of development time towards this, but were later told by EA that it was cancelled. Schafer stated that the sequel would likely incorporate much of what they had to drop prior to the game's release. This game world would have been three times larger than what Brütal Legend contained. The sequel would have likely included a fourth faction that was cut from the original game which would have been the last major group the player would have to fight through, including a major boss character, before the final battles with Doviculus.
In his autobiography, he claims that, due to this measure of autonomy, he was perceived as "arrogant and high-handed" and had "frequently been called a dictator" by some club officials. He maintained, though, that his one aim in football had always been to "see the League prosper". Following the passing of the Copyright Act 1956, he suggested to the Management Committee that the lists of League fixtures published each year should be subject to copyright for use by companies such as football pools promoters. He was duly given the go-ahead to implement a test case against Littlewoods Pools in 1959,League fixtures copyright case, 1959: mention in a Guardian Unlimited website article.
The original idea for a Chinatown in Santo Domingo was conceived in the early 1990s, but it took some years before the idea was to materialize. Chinatown took one step closer to becoming a reality when the organization Flor Para Todos was recognized. On 8 December 2004, through an agreement with the Santo Domingo municipal authorities, the Foundation was given the go-ahead to start construction on the project. Aside from the agreement with the city municipality, agreements with the Tourism Ministry were signed to promote Chinatown as a tourist attraction, agreements with the Culture Ministry were signed in order to develop cultural activities and an agreement with the Police Department was signed in order to increase police protection in the area.
An approach was made to the Vaux Wearside League, seeking immediate admission to their Second Division, and on Tuesday 1 September, a couple of weeks after the campaign had got underway, North Shields were elected on a majority vote. The club had been given the go-ahead to play at Appleby Park for the time being, whilst the new ground was developed and the first match in the VAUX Wearside League was on Saturday, 19 September. The new manager was Dave Callaghan, a stalwart of North Shields team for the past two years, who was assisted by his twin brother Tommy. The club were determined that before long the name of North Shields would once again be to the forefront of North East-non league football.
On 21 September at least one regional newspaper reported that "Volunteers are set to start work this weekend on clearing vegetation from the trackbed between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Trawsfynydd." The company was quoted as saying "We have been given a licence by Network Rail to clear and survey the line." Since then the group have established a presence in Blaenau Ffestiniog as they clear the section of line between Cwm Bowydd Road crossing and the station in Blaenau Ffestiniog. By mid-October 2016 the company had achieved six working days of track clearance. After the society’s meeting on the 28th Jan 2017 they were given the go ahead to start on stage two of the project and to create a base to work from at Maentwrog Road.
This prompted the cancellation of the assembly and the suspension of the offending students. Castro, who was ignorant of the rule, had given the go-ahead to use Spanish, and was immediately transferred to Lincoln High School in Lincoln Heights, in North East Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Castro continued his education, undertaking a Master's program at Cal State LA. He joined the Mexican-American Education Committee, a group of graduate students who made recommendations to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on ways to improve services to Mexican-American students. The only committee recommendation the supervisors acted on, however, was the creation of an "Urban Affairs Liaison", which had little effect on the quality of education in Los Angeles schools.
Henry Knox In December 1776 Colonel (soon thereafter promoted to brigadier general) Henry Knox, Washington's chief artillery officer, proposed raising five new artillery regiments. Knox was given the go-ahead to begin recruiting, and on 27 December 1776 the Continental Congress authorized the raising of three artillery regiments at Washington's request. The regiments were to contain 12 companies, each of six sergeants, six corporals, six bombardiers, six gunners, and 28 matrosses.Wright (1989), 101-102 As in the 1776 organization, the company was led by one captain, one captain-lieutenant, one first lieutenant, and two second lieutenants.Wright (1989), 35 Until the new regiments could be organized, Hamilton's company, Bauman's company, and Major Proctor's two companies provided artillery support to the main army.
To considerable local surprise fresh moves to reopen the line from Blaenau as far south as Trawsfynydd began in September 2016, with the formation of The Trawsfynydd & Blaenau Ffestiniog Community Railway Company. On 21 September at least one regional newspaper reported that "Volunteers are set to start work this weekend on clearing vegetation from the trackbed between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Trawsfynydd." The company was quoted as saying "We have been given a licence by Network Rail to clear and survey the line." By mid-October 2016 the company had achieved six working days of track clearance. After the society’s meeting on 28 January 2017 they were given the go ahead to start on stage two of the project and to create a base to work from at Maentwrog Road.
Following five years of second unit director work on films such as Uma and Roppa's Honeymoon, Kurosawa was finally given the go-ahead to direct his first film, even though he himself claimed that, in films like Uma, "I had been so much in charge of production I had felt like the director". After hearing of a new novel from the writer Tomita Tsuneo, Kurosawa decided the project was for him and asked film producer Iwao Mori to buy the rights for him. According to Japanese cinema scholar Donald Richie, the reason Kurosawa was allowed to direct the film was because he had had two film scripts printed, including one of which had won the education minister's prize. However, his work was too far away from the government requirements for a wartime film.
However, with the elimination of dining service, these were converted to baggage cars. With the withdrawal of the EMU100 series from regular service, the E1000 has established itself as the backbone of TRA's long-distance fleet, though it has found its role undermined by delivery of the TEMU lineup. Allegedly, TRA encountered legal troubles with Hyundai- Mobis during the delivery of the cars, as the order had been placed with Daewoo shortly before the company merged with the Hyundai-Mobis. The latter disagreed with the terms of the contract, and a lawsuit was filed by TRA. However, the suit was settled out-of-court, with Mobis given the go-ahead to finish TRA's massive order of EMU500-series commuter trains from Daewoo, while TRA was given the option to purchase new EMU600 series trains and received its E1000 cars under the original contract.
The VC lost at least 40 killed on the first day, including the regimental commander and the senior political officer of 1st Quyet Thang Regiment. The list of VC troops killed or captured grew in the coming days. Among those taken prisoner were the executive officer of the K3 Battalion and the political officer of the K4 Battalion, who provided valuable intelligence about the VC’s plans. By 1 June, the four battalions had been reduced to just 70 healthy soldiers and 30 wounded men who could still fight. A Vietnamese M41 tank is given the go-ahead to advance on VC positions in Cholon, 30 May Vietnamese Marines fight VC in a lumber yard in Gia Định, 31 May Vietnamese Rangers relax behind 10 VC bodies, Cholon, 6 June The western thrust against Saigon began on the night of 26–27 May.
Thirty-two parties opposed to Musharraf have joined together in a loose political alliance called All Parties Democratic Movement; the PPP, one of the main parties, was not a part of this alliance. As Musharraf had stated that the elections would be held under the state of emergency, at least three parties stated they will boycott such elections, fearing that they would not be free and fair: the PML (N), Jamaat-e-Islami and Tehreek-i-Insaaf. The opposition parties jointly stated that the elections could not be fair, as most opposition candidates were in jail under the state of emergency and thus unable to file nomination papers for the election. On 23 November 2007, PPP members were given the go-ahead to register for the elections, while still reserving the decision to boycott the election.
The reform was implemented in Denmark on 1 January 2007, although the merger of the Funish municipalities of Ærøskøbing and Marstal, being a part of the reform, was given the go-ahead to be implemented on Sunday 1 January 2006, one year before the main reform. It borders Schleswig-Holstein (Germany) to the south and Central Denmark Region to the north and is connected to Region Zealand via the Great Belt Fixed Link. The regional capital is Vejle but Odense is the region's largest city and home to the main campus of the University of Southern Denmark with branch campuses in Esbjerg, Kolding and Sønderborg. The responsibilities of the regional administration include hospitals and regional public transport, which is divided between two operators, Sydtrafik on the mainland and Als, and Fynbus on Funen and adjacent islands.
The future of Marsaxlokk FC looked bleak after they failed to form a new committee, owing to a shortage of candidates, by the deadline stipulated in the Malta FA regulations. Malta FA responded to this situation by taking over the running of the club on an interim basis in an effort to find a solution. MFA Vice-President Dr Chris Bonett presiding over the Clubs General extraordinary meeting, told the new club members that the Members Status Committee within the Malta FA, which took charge of the club after it failed to submit the names of its officials as required by the association's rules, will now advise the MFA council to officially recognise the new club committee. With a new committee in place, Marsaxlokk were given the go-ahead to take part in the Division Three championship.
A call letter change to WWIP was planned, but never happened. In the fall of 1999, the LMA was canceled due to various legal problems with Harbor Pointe Entertainment, at which time WCXT returned to the AC format under a slightly different slogan/positioner, "105-3, Your More Music Station." Other than the new slogan, the format was more or less exactly the same as before "The Whip" experiment, largely voicetracked and automated and with very few commercials. In 2001, a construction permit for a new station on 105.3 in Mukwonago, Wisconsin (now WLVE) serving Milwaukee was given the go ahead to sign on. Because WCXT regularly DXed across Lake Michigan in the Milwaukee and Sheboygan areas, Salem Communications (which owned the now-WLVE at the time) paid the owners of WCXT to downgrade its signal from 100 kW to 28,000 watts.
The SRU owns Murrayfield Stadium which is the main home ground of the Scottish national team, though in 2004 international rugby games were played at Hampden Park in Glasgow and McDiarmid Park in Perth, as part of the SRU's campaign to reach out to new audiences outside the traditional rugby areas. When the Heineken Cup (now replaced by the European Rugby Champions Cup) was suggested SRU officials were concerned that Scottish club sides could not compete against the best teams from France and England and that centrally funded so-called 'super-district' teams might do better. The four traditional districts—the South (renamed Border Reivers), Edinburgh, Glasgow and the North & Midlands (rebranded as Caledonia Reds)—were given the go-ahead to take part in Europe. For the first two seasons, players were still released to play for their clubs in domestic competition, but eventually the districts became full-time operations.
Sandlot, best known for their work on the Earth Defense Force series, first pitched the concept of Zangeki no Reginleiv to Nintendo in 2004 alongside a project for the Nintendo DS called Chōsōjū Mecha MG. Nintendo producer Hitoshi Yamagami was wary of such a large pitch, so he agreed that the developer would make Chōsōjū Mecha MG and then go on to Zangeki no Reginleiv. When production of Chōsōjū Mecha MG finished in 2006, the team were given the go-ahead to work on Zangeki no Reginleiv, though both sides were wary of its scale. Originally the plan was for only 100 weapons to feature, but as the team became familiar with the Wii hardware, the number tripled. In 2009, a year before the planned release, Nintendo asked Sandlot to include co-op—which the team had never tried before—then control options for the Classic Controller and the Wii MotionPlus.
He came back from defeat to capture the vacant WBO Latino junior lightweight title on November 14, 2019, defeating Charles Huerta via UD over ten rounds at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, California, with all three judges scoring the bout 100–90. He was set to make a second attempt at a world title, challenging WBO junior lightweight champion Jamel Herring. The bout was scheduled to take place on July 2, 2020, at the MGM Grand Conference Center, in Paradise, Nevada, however, after Herring tested positive for COVID-19, the bout was postponed to July 14. After Herring gave a negative test prior to July 14, he was given the go ahead to travel to the MGM Grand and enter 'the bubble'—a predesignated containment area at the MGM Grand for fighters, trainers and officials involved in the event—before taking another test for COVID-19.
XERDO's concession history begins on December 8, 1951, when Manuel L. Salinas, a radio pioneer in northeastern Mexico who also started sister station XHMLS-FM, was given the go-ahead to build a radio station on 1450 kHz in Valle Hermoso, known as XEVH-AM and broadcasting with 1,000 watts during the day and 250 at night. Salinas's successors held on to the XEVH concession for decades, and in the 1980s, XEVH increased its nighttime power to 1,000 watts. In 1996, the concession transferred to Gilma Guedea Castaño, and in April 2003, it was transferred to Radio Avanzado Gal de Valle Hermoso, S.A. de C.V. Around this time, the callsign changed to XERDO-AM. In order to carry out a major power increase, in June 2013, XERDO was approved to move to 1060 kHz with 7,000 watts during the day and 2,500 watts at night.
Prior to the club's inaugural season in the Football League, in June 2009 the club was given the go-ahead to raise the official capacity of the ground by 712, indicating a rise from 6,200, which had been the agreed capacity at the inauguration of the stadium, to 6,912, an increase of more than 10 percent, following discussion with safety inspectors and Staffordshire County Council. The club was also encouraged to fund a toucan crossing for pedestrians crossing the adjacent Princess Way, due to the increase in fans that had coincided with the club's promotion. Work on this project began on 2 August 2009, having originally been proposed during the planning stages of the stadium construction. These moves were acknowledged with a renewal of the stadium's safety certificate on 12 July 2010 by the council's safety advisory group. The stadium hosted its first ever Football League match on 15 August 2009 against Morecambe, in a match that attracted a crowd of 2,742.
The climax takes place at Side 3 in the Battle of Axis. Out of the major Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam characters, Captain Bright Noa and Axis leader Haman Karn are featured prominently in Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ; Hayato Kobayashi, Kamille Bidan, Fa Yuiry, Wong Lee, Yazan Gable, Mineva Lao Zabi, and the children Shinta and Qum are featured in various episodes as well; Sayla Mass, who had appeared in the first series but had no speaking role in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, also appeared in several episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ; Char Aznable's planned appearance was canceled when Tomino was given the go-ahead to do the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack movie. Yoshiyuki Tomino's original plan for the show which involved Char's return was never revealed, nor does Tomino himself remember it. Also, aside from the openings and story recap/preview episode, Amuro Ray does not make an appearance in the series either.
As a hedge against the possibility of the Soviets "breaking out" of the ABM treaty, the Army was given the go-ahead to continue development of ABM technologies, focusing on the Safeguard-like concept of defending the missile fields. The Army responded with two concepts, updates to the original Safeguard using a new radar and upgraded Sprint II missile, and a new concept for a high-altitude interceptor that would use hit-to-kill instead of a nuclear warhead. Work on the former, known as Site Defence of Minuteman, went as far as building a radar at the Army's testing site on Meck Island in the Kwajalein Atoll, but work on this program ended in 1974 when it was clear the treaty was going to be followed by both countries. Work on MX also continued, and by the mid-1970s the preferred MX basing mode was the Multiple Protective Shelter (MPS) concept.
The Angolan brigades left Cuito Cuanavale on 15 August, with the 8th and 13th following the main road to Mavinga via the town of Cunjamba and the 7th and 25th moving southwards following the Cunzumbia and Cuzizi rivers and having reached the Lomba river, flanking left and followed that river to an area north of Mavinga. Operation Wallpaper came into being on 7 September when the South African Defence Force (SADF) 32 Battalion was given the go ahead to move to Mavinga. The troops of 32 Battalion and additional attachments were dressed in UNITA uniforms and flown to Mavinga by the SAAF. All additional equipment was driven across the border to Mavinga. 61 Mechanised Infantry Battalion was placed in reserve. UNITA had deployed 2,400 men to defend the positions around Mavinga, with 250 men to defend the town and airfield itself. The Angolan forces were now 50 km north west of Mavinga. By 8 September the South African equipment had arrived and by 11 September the SADF units were in position to support UNITA and attack the FAPLA brigades.
Byron Lewis, project manager, stated at the time of the fifth residential development at the site that "The new development will build on the success of Waterfront Barry as a top quality site for economic and community growth". At the same time it was announced that there were plans to remove the Vopak chemical tanks from the Barry Island side of the docks. In 2004, Cooke & Arkwright and Chesterton, acting on behalf of Associated British Ports and the Welsh Development Agency sold land at Holton Reach in the western part of the area to housing developer Redrow plc, who were given the go ahead to build a new estate at Holton Reach with 84 private houses and 29 "affordable homes", a doctor's surgery, and a community centre incorporating a church. In October 2007, a new £350 million project was announced to build 400 new homes and to develop a 300,000 square foot area for commercial and leisure use, led by a consortium of Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon Homes and Barratt Homes.
149–51 the Soviet Union was wary of its former ally, the United States, which until late 1949 was the sole possessor of atomic weapons. The United States had used these weapons operationally during World War II, and it could use them again against the Soviet Union, laying waste to its cities and military centers. Since the Americans had a much larger air force than the Soviet Union, and the United States maintained advance air bases near Soviet territory, in 1947 Stalin ordered the development of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) in order to counter the perceived American threat.Gatland (1976), pp. 100–01 ICBM, and its derivative launch vehicles for Sputnik, Vostok, Voskhod, and Soyuz In 1953, Korolev was given the go-ahead to develop the R-7 Semyorka rocket, which represented a major advance from the German design. Although some of its components (notably boosters) still resembled the German G-4, the new rocket incorporated staged design, a completely new control system, and a new fuel. It was successfully tested on August 21, 1957, and became the world's first fully operational ICBM the following month.Hall & Shayler (2001), p.
