Artichoke leaf extract has been investigated for its potential to lower cholesterol levels for people with hypercholesterolaemia. A recent clinical study suggested that using Artichoke leaf powder for two months may decrease the body mass index in hypertensive patients via cholesterol decrement. A 2013 meta-analysis found it to have a modest effect on reducing cholesterol levels, but the results were not compelling enough to recommend its use as a treatment for hypercholesterolaemia. C++ implements iterators with the semantics of pointers in that language.
