Uilliam Seóighe (William Joyce), Archbishop of Tuam, died 1508. Seóighe was said to be a native of Galway town. He directly succeeded Donatus Ó Muireadhaigh, O.S.A, as Walter Blake fitz John had been appointed but not consecrated. Archbishop Seóighe was appointed on 16 May 1485 and consecrated in 1487.

Nor is a consecrated hermit, a consecrated virgin, or a person who follows some other form whose approval is reserved to the Holy See. Ordination as deacon, priest or bishop does not make one a member of a religious institute and so does not make one a religious.

The Lay Consecrated Men of Regnum Christi are a branch of the Regnum Christi movement made up of lay men who dedicate themselves full-time to apostolate. They live consecrated life in the Church within the lay state. They were formed on April 13, 1975 by Marcial Maciel with Álvaro Corcuera (who later became the general director of the Legionaries of Christ and Regnum Christi) as one of the founding members. For a long time the government of the consecrated men was under the Legionaries of Christ.

It is not clear when and where Augustine was consecrated as a bishop. Light was elected Bishop of Southwestern Virginia in 1979 and was consecrated on June 2, 1979 in the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Virginia. He was consecrated by Presiding Bishop John Allin. Throughout his tenure, Light was a prominent supporter of the ordination of women and appointed numerous women to different positions in the diocese. He retired in 1996.

In 1913, Mathew consecrated Rudolph de Landas Berghes. At the beginning of World War I, Berghes emigrated to the United States in 1914, hoping to consolidate various independent Old Catholic groups under Mathew. Berghes, in spite of his isolation, was able to plant the seed of Old Catholicism in the Americas. He consecrated an excommunicated Capuchin Franciscan priest as bishop: Carmel Henry Carfora.

The construction of the brick church was supervised by Herbert Clere, the architect's son, from his Palmerston North office. The opening ceremony was held by Bishop Sprott from Wellington on Wednesday, 6 May 1914. In 1805, after the foundation of Assumption Cathedral in Novocherkassk, a place in the city was consecrated by the Bishop of Voronezh and Cherkasy Arseny for construction of the new Alexander Nevsky's Church. Burhweald (also BrihtwoldBarlow English Church 100-1066 p. 73) was a medieval Bishop of Cornwall. Burhweald was consecrated between 1011 and 1012. He died between 1019 and 1027.

Charles Edward Woodcock (June 12, 1854 – March 12, 1940) was bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Kentucky from 1905 to 1935. He was consecrated on January 25, 1905.
