This forcible change of ownership was to be a source of much confusion and conflict when the Pākehā settlers arrived and began buying land. There were often at least two sets of putative owners, and the ones who felt they had been dispossessed were often more than willing to sell land they owned but could not occupy. Te Rangihaeata was not initially anti-Pākehā. He encouraged the whalers and the traders and was prepared to tolerate the missionaries.

This is the original ending of the film when released to international audiences in 1932. Some prints for American audiences had a happy ending, where Catherine did not die, and some were ambiguous; some theaters were offered a choice. The censors were concerned about more than just the heroine's death. Versions proliferated when a much more powerful Motion Picture Production Code got hold of the picture before various re-releases to film and television, not to mention the effects of a change of ownership to Warner Bros.

Though still referred to by its traditional name, it was officially altered to the 'King's Arms' and, later, the 'Fleur de Lys', until a change of ownership led to the restoration of the old name and the creation of the "Black Boy Inn" as it is today. The Inn signs each show a 'black buoy' on one side and a 'black boy' on the other. The Inn's name has caused controversy and there are at least three theories to explain its name.

The first written mention of Böttingen was in 802 and contained a land title grant by the Abbey of Saint Gall. After 1253 the territory paid tribute and received protection from the Beuron Archabbey, after a change of ownership the Bishopric of Constance, and then the Herren von Enzberg, until it became part of Württemberg in 1805. The village had to pay interest and tithe as well as socage until 1848.

The vessel was not built to seawaymax dimensions, she was specifically designed to navigate "Cleveland's winding Cuyahoga River".
Situated just outside Saint-Yzans-de-Medoc and with the estuary immediately to its east, the 47 hectare vineyard of Chateau Sigognac is planted in clayey-chalky and clayey-sandy soils which are characteristic of Médoc. Access to the underground workings was by a single adit, and the surface mill was powered by two water wheels. A change of ownership in 1875 did little to improve the profitability of the quarry, and it closed in 1878 or 1882. In 1895, the quarry reopened under the direction of Moses Kellow, a fearless innovator who set about modernising working practices and methods. The two-man teams working in the mill were no longer tied to a two-man team working underground, which enabled the mill to operate more efficiently.
Whilst its creditors lined up a High Court hearing with the aim of liquidating the club, Swansea City had come to rely on a combination of old stagers and young professionals. Wound up by court order in December 1985, Swansea City was saved by local businessman Doug Sharpe who took over the running of the club, although the change of ownership was not enough to prevent relegation to the Fourth Division in 1986. Eight years on from the first promotion under Toshack, the club was back where it had started.

At first it was estimated that repairs would take 4 to 6 weeks. However, with repair crews working around the clock to replace the washed-out ballast and shore up the bridges, the railroad was reopened for traffic by mid-September. The 45 railroads formerly owned by RailAmerica, which had previously taken over RailTex lines, were transferred to Genesee & Wyoming in December 2012. This change of ownership caused a shuffle of locomotives around their rail system, and the original NECR yellow & blue paint scheme is slowly being replaced by the Genesee & Wyoming scheme.
The Van Bergen farm, 1733, near Albany, New York, distinctively Dutch In the hundred years of British rule that followed the change of ownership of New Netherland, Dutch immigration to America came to an almost complete standstill. New Amsterdam was not high on their list, especially because of the Native American risk. The major Dutch cities were centers of high culture, but they still sent immigrants.
In 1973, the decision was made to install a passing loop to enable the operation of an hourly train service between New Romney and Dungeness; however, the site had insufficient space. The station was therefore re-located to the other side of the holiday camp entrance road. Although the holiday camp still operates, following a change of ownership it is no longer known as Maddieson's Camp.

Swan House farm The name "Walworth" means Welsh settlement, and it used to be known as Waleberge after the Saxons claimed it. Following the Black Death there was a change of ownership of the manor to the Neville family by 1367, but in 1391 Robert Hansard claimed it back.

In the Byzantine Empire, they were slaves of the state and it seems the situation was the same in Bulgaria and Serbia until their social organization was destroyed by the Ottoman conquest, which would suggest that they came as slaves who had a change of "ownership".Achim (2004), p.29-30 The alternative explanation, proposed by Romanian scholar P. P. Panaitescu, was that following the Crusades, an important East-West trade route passed through the Romanian states and the local feudal lords enslaved the Roma for economic gain for lack of other craftsmen.
Durbar was the adviser of Bozize, when the Canadian company Uramin acquired 90% of the Bakouma uranium mine. In 2007, the French state-owned nuclear company Areva purchased Uramin and its mines for 1.8 billion euros. According to Durbar, the acquisition took place without notification of change of ownership to the CAR government who owned 15% of Uramin, Durbar got the government to appoint lawyers and request justification for the transaction. The mines were later proved unusable for their low uranium concentration and expensive logistics, which Areva's CEO Anne Lauvergeon was aware of.
After the change of ownership, all 125 stores traded under the Zavvi brand rather than as Virgin Megastores and Virgin XS stores. Some stores retained an individual Virgin Media concession that operated independently from the Zavvi store. Zavvi Ireland had made a loss of €3.4 million in the year ending March 2007 as the new chain attempted to turn a profit, without the backing of the Virgin Group. On 21 September 2007, Simon Douglas announced that Zavvi would be making a fresh start in the entertainment retail space.
Neither are resell-able, but may be transferable during a change of ownership of a corporation holding a trading license. Following the Black Monday market crash in 1987, NYSE imposed trading curbs to reduce market volatility and massive panic sell-offs. Following the 2011 rule change, at the start of each trading day, the NYSE sets three circuit breaker levels at levels of 7% (Level 1), 13% (Level 2), and 20% (Level 3) of the average closing price of the S&P; 500 for the preceding trading day.
The Norwegian National Rail Administration, which had been established in 1996 and had taken over the responsibility for infrastructure, retained ownership of the line itself. Flåm Utvikling also started building a cruise ship terminal at Flåm, so tourists could walk ashore and directly to the trains. With the change of ownership, NSB also decided to replace the aging El 11 with El 17. The locomotives had been delivered in 1987 and were intended for express train service, but had been plagued with technical problems and were not considered reliable enough to operate as single locomotives.
Modest dividends were paid to shareholders from 1824, and the total traffic carried in 1838 was 181,708 tons, on which profits of £6,835 were made. In 1845, the company agreed to sell the canal to the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway, who were also keen to purchase the Stratford and Moreton Tramway. It was not until January 1856 that the transaction was finally completed, and another year before the railway company took over day- to-day running. Another change of ownership occurred in 1863, when the railway company was absorbed by the Great Western Railway.
The Hi-5 franchise was sold by Kids Like Us (the joint company of the program's creators, Helena Harris and Posie Graeme-Evans) in March 2008, to the Nine Network and production company Southern Star. Harris and Graeme-Evans ended their involvement with the production of Hi-5, and the brand was placed under the direction of Nine and Southern Star executives, Martin Hersov and Cathy Payne. Along with the change of ownership, cast members Kellie Crawford, Nathan Foley and Sun Park left the group in late 2008. In December, it was alleged by News.com.
The project was taken over by Countess Anna Sophie Schack née Rantzau and her step-grandson Count Hans Schack. A fire shortly after the change of ownership delayed completion by a couple of years. On 7 January 1757 Hans Schack married Countess Ulrikke Auguste Vilhelmine Moltke, daughter of Adam Gottlob Moltke, and as his son-in-law had use of the best artists and craftsmen to complete the interiors. In 1794 the palace was taken over from private residence by the Regent, then Crown Prince Frederick, and his wife, Crown Princess Marie.
It was bought by a development company in 1996, Cambs Construction Ltd, but from then the Hall fell into a state of disrepair. In 2009, a group called the Friends of Firbeck Hall was established, to attempt to secure a future for the site. Cambs Construction failed in May 2010, and the liquidators sold the estate to a development company based in Doncaster for £350,000. The company set about restoring the West Lodge, which was completed in early 2014, but there was another change of ownership later that year.
Ijarah need not lead to purchase. In conventional leasing an "operating lease" does not end in a change of ownership, nor does the type of ijarah known as al-ijarah (tashghiliyah). In Islamic finance, al Ijarah does lead to purchase (Ijara wa Iqtina, or "rent and acquisition") and usually refers to a leasing contract of property (such as land, plant, office automation, a motor vehicle), which is leased to a client for stream of rental and purchase payments, ending with a transfer of ownership to the lessee, and otherwise follows Islamic regulations.
Early in the summer of 1965 Volkswagen acquired the Auto Union business from Daimler Benz: production of the two-stroke DKWs was almost immediately terminated. In the market place the DKWs had been facing an increasing struggle to compete with similarly sized more powerful four-stroke- engined offerings from Volkswagen and, more recently, Opel. By the end of 1965 the plant formerly controlled by Auto Union was building Audi badged cars, with four-cylinder four-stroke engines designed, before the change of ownership, in collaboration with Mercedes Benz.
As more and more Greeks adopted the Megali Idea, clashing with Nicolaides' Ottomanist beliefs,Balta and Kavak, p. 57. the readership decreased in the 1900s and 1910s. Nicolaides' son Nikolakis "Nikos" received the publication in June 1909 (mid-1327 in the Ottoman calendar) after their father asked the Ottoman Press office, in summer 1905 (start of Ottoman calendar 1326) to allow for a change of ownership as he was becoming elderly. Because Nicolaidis tried to save the newspaper no matter what it took, he sold his possessions and lost his wealth.
The second and third stages also contributed to reducing the land farmed by tenants from 44% in 1949 to 17% in 1953. Economically, the reforms were important as with the change of ownership, the incentive framework of the cultivator was transformed - promoting an increase of work efforts, production, investment and adoption of new technologies. This rising productivity was necessary for the subsequent transfer of resources - labor and capital, to other sectors of the economy. The reforms also brought an impact to the income distribution, improving the incomes of tenants and new owners.
Malpensa Airport officially commenced commercial operations on 21 November 1948 as Aeroporto Città di Busto Arsizio, although the Belgian national flag-carrier Sabena had started flying to Brussels from here a year earlier. On 2 February 1950 Trans World Airlines (TWA) became the first company to fly long-haul flights from Malpensa, using Lockheed Constellations on their services to New York Idlewild Airport. A change of ownership occurred in 1952 when the Municipality of Milan took control of the airport's operator, the Società Aeroporto di Busto Arsizio. The operator's name was subsequently changed to ' (SEA).
By the late 1960s, the former Mid Canada Line Installation became Frontier Collegiate Institute Campus, Frontier Collegiate Residence, and the Area Four Administrative Offices. Most of the base facilities are still in use today although many of their purposes have changed. Today, the former Mess Hall provides all dietary services to high school students who reside on campus. The Officers Club is utilized primarily as a meeting room and location for large group presentations, and though the bar is still present, it has not been used for its intended purpose since the change of ownership.
At that time the Aldershot Courier claimed it to be 'the biggest ice rink in Britain'. As the ice surface was only two-thirds of the minimum required size, the national governing body (British Ice Hockey Association), ruled in the summer of 1987 that only youth ice hockey could be sanctioned. The first ice hockey match played at the rink was on 8 November 1987 when Aldershot Colts lost 13–2 to Havering (Romford) Hornets. A change of ownership, with plans to reopen the rink in December 1991, foundered.
The Alcione was the last of many gliders designed by Camillo Silva at Aeronautica Benomi, as the latter was taken over in 1937 by Aeronautica Lombarda. The change of ownership led to the Alcione being referred to as both a Bonomi and a Lombarda. Silva designed at least one further glider for Lombarda, the AL-3 which was one of two Italian competitors in the 1939 Olympic Sailplane Competition of 1939. The Alcione was a refined sailplane in its day, designed in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Milan.
Despite this people still continued to visit the Elmwood beach until the village constructed a fence to block street access to it in the 1960s. Among the residents that were affected by the depression was architect Benjamin Marshall, who was forced to sell his house to Nathan Goldblatt (of the Goldblatt's chain). As a result of this change of ownership, the Sheridan Shore Club was evicted from their headquarters in the lower floor of the Marshall Mansion. In 1937 the Sheridan Shore Yacht Club constructed a new clubhouse at Wilmette Harbor.

If the G&PJR; was surviving operationally, its financial situation was plainly desperate, and in financial circles it was clear that a change of ownership was imminent. In the event the Ayrshire and Wigtownshire Railway Company was the successful bidder; the Company was formed specially for the purpose by Act of Parliament of 23 May 1887. The actual takeover took place on 1 August 1887. The G&PJR; was authorised to borrow £10,000 for repair works on Pinmore Tunnel and the Stinchar Viaduct and for other expenses prior to the transfer.
After a change of ownership in 1873, the company began construction on what would become the Lockwood Manufacturing Company, a cotton textile plant. A second mill was added, and by 1900 the firm dominated the riverfront and employed 1,300 workers. Lockwood Mills survived until the mid-1950s. The iron Waterville-Winslow Footbridge opened in 1901, as a means for Waterville residents to commute to Winslow for work in the Hollingsworth & Whitney Co. and Wyandotte Worsted Co. mills, but in less than a year was carried away by the highest river level since 1832.

Pacific Mails other ships were sold to the Dollar Line, and the formers remaining assets purchased by Grace. The deal brought to a formal end the existence of Pacific Mail, one of Americas oldest and best known steamship lines, established in 1848. Acquisition of the Pacific Mail freighters allowed American-Hawaiian to expand its intercoastal service, and Santa Olivia was thus retained on her existing route; with the change of ownership, however, the ship was renamed SS Kansan. By late 1925, Kansan was shipping auto parts and general goods from the East to the West Coasts.
The eyes of the paintings were downcast and gave a contemplative feeling. The positioning and lighting within the paintings seems to indicate that they were meant to each flank an altar in the domed chapel. Although the paintings were paired for a time, through change of ownership the "Madonna of Loreto" is now located in the Musée Condé, Chantilly. As a means of indicating Julius' appreciation of the Madonna, which resulted in the pairing of paintings, Julius commissioned the Sistine Madonna in the last year of his life where his adoration is shown by the Pope kneeling at the feet of the Virgin.
After a refit the Viking Saga re-emerged as MS Sally Albatross, painted in an attractive white livery with dark and light blue bands running along her hull. Despite the Sally Albatross success her parent company's downward spiral continued, and in 1987 the company was sold to their main rivals Effoa and Johnson Line (owners of Silja Line). The change of ownership meant additional investments made in Sally Cruise, and the Sally Albatross was rebuilt in 1988. However, disaster struck in 1990 when the Sally Albatross was burnt out while in drydock at Finnboda, Nacka, Sweden.
As the new developers gained familiarity with the code, larger changes were made in the 3.1.x series releases. For a long time the stable version was 3.1.2a. Noticeable additions included the addition of a 'quick reply' box below topics. The next release was due to be 3.2 and was originally started in 2003. However, for various reasons work of this version stalled, this resulting in the next release of Ikonboard becoming 3.1.3 and was developed mainly by 2 coders. With the change of ownership around August 2005 the two coders departed leaving development on 3.1.
Bonds anchored newscasts and a late night talk-show called Bonds Tonight at WJBK-TV shortly afterwards and later hosted a radio show at WXYT. Bonds returned to WXYZ-TV in 1999 to present editorials during the newscasts but left the station after only a few months. WXYZ-TV's ratings dominance was challenged by WDIV-TV in the 1980s, due in part to a change of ownership and culture at WDIV and viewers looking for an alternative to Bonds' hard-hitting style of news presentation. The two stations continue to battle for ratings to this day.
Konstantinos Manolas began his football career in the youth teams of AEK Athens, and made his professional debut in the 2011–12 season for Thrasyvoulos. George Stewart, at first a partner of George Skerry, took over Skerry’s College entirely in 1885 when the College was only seven years old. Skerry, after severing his connection, settled in London. There are grounds for assuming that George Stewart was a man of vision, judgement and a driving force who ‘remained a firm believer in the freedom and initiative of the private school’. Prior to the change of ownership, activities were confined to catering for the Civil Service; but, once it was consolidated, the College in the early 1890s embarked on a scheme of important extensions.
The 2010–11 season is the 90th competitive season of Hereford United Football Club, and their 30th as a Football League club. The football club saw a change of ownership in the close season with David Keyte and Tim Russon purchasing the majority shareholding in the club; becoming chairman and vice-chairman respectively. After 15 years at the club as manager, chairman and director of football, Graham Turner departed along with long-serving company secretary Joan Fennessy. Turner was subsequently appointed manager of Shrewsbury Town with former backroom staff John Trewick and Tony Ford following him to the Greenhous Meadow.
Chelsea suffered serious financial troubles during the 1970s and 1980s following a large-scale attempt to renovate Stamford Bridge. The financial crisis and a subsequent change of ownership at the club culminated the sale of the club's freehold to property developers Marler Estates (and subsequently Cabra Estates). The move almost saw Chelsea lose the stadium. The future of the stadium (and hence the club) was only secured in 1992, when the property developers were bankrupted by a market crash, allowing the then-chairman Ken Bates to do a deal with their bankers and to regain control of the stadium for the football club.

In 1968, three related buildings were recorded on the National Heritage List for England. The Early Wing, from the 15th century, was designated as Grade I while the adjoining farmhouse (c. 1600) and a barn (late 17th century) are Grade II. For 20 years the Early Wing was listed on Historic England's Heritage at Risk Register. Following many years with shoring scaffolding for structural support following local authority statutory powers enforcement, following a change of ownership in 2014 the hall was subject to repairs in 2017/18 and was described as a success story for the register.
There was a further change of ownership in 1903, and then in 1915 the paper was bought by William Berry and his brother, Gomer Berry, later ennobled as Lord Camrose and Viscount Kemsley respectively. Under their ownership, The Sunday Times continued its reputation for innovation: on 23 November 1930, it became the first Sunday newspaper to publish a 40-page issue and on 21 January 1940, news replaced advertising on the front page. In 1943, the Kemsley Newspapers Group was established, with The Sunday Times becoming its flagship paper. At this time, Kemsley was the largest newspaper group in Britain.
Totti ended the 2010–11 Serie A campaign with 15 goals – with twelve of his goals coming in Roma's last 13 league fixtures. At the end of the season, Roma underwent a change of ownership, with the former club owner Rosella Sensi being replaced by an American consortium led by Thomas DiBenedetto. Under the new management, the club did not offer a permanent contract to Montella, which led to him leaving to coach another Serie A side, Catania. The Roma management appointed Luis Enrique, who had previous coached the Barcelona B side, in a bid to emulate Barcelona's football style.
The three companies were known as the M.A.S. group, and a fourth organisation, Mombasa Air School, was added to the group as an ab- initio pilot training school in 1978. To inject capital and provide growth the MAS group of companies was sold in 1982 to CMC Aviation, owned by Cooper Motor Corporation, a publicly-traded company, based in Nairobi. The MAS identity was changed to Cooper Skybird. In 1986 there was a further change of ownership to another publicly traded group, and the airline was named Prestige Air, and all its operations were transferred to Nairobi.

Marijo Kardum (Aleksandar Cvjetković), an influential construction tycoon, is suddenly in a hurry to take over the Novine because young journalist Andrej Marinković (Goran Marković) has begun investigating a mysterious car accident with which the future owner is closely linked. The sudden change of ownership is also triggered by internal turmoil in the newsroom, driven by a desire for power, vanity and ambition. At the heart of these turmoil are veteran journalists Dijana Mitrović (Branka Katić), Nikola Martić (Trpimir Jurkić), Martin Vidov (Zijad Gračić) and Alenka Jović- Marinković (Olga Pakalović), who are replaced by editor-in-chief.
Hyder is a populated place and farming community in Yuma County, Arizona, United States. It and surrounding areas (such as "Sentinel" and "Agua Caliente") houses several different types of fish, shrimp, and other types of farms, one school (Sentinel Elementary School), and two gas stations/general markets. There was also a bar at one point (the Whispering Sands Bar), which was really nothing more than a tin-topped shed, but it was closed some time in 1997 due to a change of ownership and lack of business. The Gila River runs through Hyder, although it is dry most of the time.

After being ten points adrift in bottom place at the turn of the year, in what has been termed the "great escape" and "miracle", a revival in form saw them escape the relegation places and secure survival in the penultimate game of the season. June 2015 saw a change of ownership, handing over to Essex recruitment firm JPNG (liquidated in 2017), who appointed director Gary Coxall as Chairman. Pools' third season in League Two started positively but form gradually dropped off and by February, Hartlepool were in 21st place. JPNG decided to sack Ronnie Moore and replaced him with Craig Hignett.
Alfred F. Havighurst, Britain in Transition: The Twentieth Century (1985), p. 9. His departure from The Nation was a matter of party politics: he had broken from the Liberals under David Lloyd George, in favour of the Labour Party. A change of ownership was putting control in the hands of John Maynard Keynes, a Liberal. In July 1914, with the threat of war and refusal of the government to deny the possibility of British involvement, Massingham with H.N.Brailsford voiced their opposition to intervention in The Nation as did other Liberals in the Manchester Guardian, The Economist, and Daily News.
After the sale and change of ownership, the Mangueshi temple committee imposed heavy taxes on the residents of the island. This made people, who could not afford to pay the taxes, move to Gaudalim. The temple used to collect taxes from all houses, both Hindu as well as Catholic, but if one would pay a 20-year tax in advance it was considered as life-time tax. Besides the Kenkres and the Peres’, Pratap Rao Sardessai, Shenvi Dhume, Bhandari, Prabhu Lawande, were the Hindu landlords and de Sa's, Alvare's and de Sousa's were the prominent Catholic landlords.

The horse was sent to the United States to contest the Arlington Million on 3 September and finished unplaced behind Steinlen.
Thomas Finney of Finney, Isles and Co Brisbane draper Thomas Finney acquired the property in 1899 and used the theatre as a clothing factory, although the stage was still hired for occasional performances. Also in 1997, Michael Bormann and Angel Schleifer got back together and wanted to release the shelved Bonfire album they had recorded in 1993. Joerg Deisinger was not interested and Edgar Patrik had other commitments, so the reunion was only for the duo composed by Bormann and Schleifer. Because of the change of ownership for the Bonfire name, Bormann and Schleifer decided to call themselves Charade. The shelved album was released in 1998 in Japan, becoming a highly sought after CD. The partnership between Bormann and Schleifer ended in May 2011, releasing 2 albums in total.

The original Yaohan Plaza also featured a small example of a traditional Japanese garden outside the centre, which was allowed to fall into disrepair after the change of ownership.
If's new owner was Robert Guinn, of Galaxy Publishing. The change of ownership was abrupt and led to a delay in publication, with the first issue under new editorship not appearing until July 1959. The editor was Horace Gold, who was also the editor of Galaxy Science Fiction; Galaxy had gone from a monthly to a bimonthly schedule at the start of 1959, and If and Galaxy appeared in alternate months for the next few years. In a 1975 retrospective article, Gold commented that his policy with If was to experiment, using new writers who had not yet established themselves.
The neoclassical plaster-work of the White Salon The original 1487 plan of the Poggio Imperiale bears little resemblance to the present day neoclassical layout. Originally, the building was a country manor house belonging to the Baroncelli family; this passed to the Pandolfini family, and eventually in 1622 it was sold to the Grand Duchess Maria Maddelena of Austria. This change of ownership was to mark the beginning of a slow transformation from provincial country manor to grand, imperial villa. The Grand Duchess immediately commissioned the building's "restoration, enlargement, and embellishment."Villas of Tuscany, The Vendrome Press, pp366-369, by Carlo Cresti.
In 1978, UA executives Artie Mogull and Jerry Rubinstein bought the record company from Transamerica with a loan from EMI, which took over distribution of the label. The official name of the company was changed to Liberty/United Records, but the United Artists Records name was retained under license. The deal led to an immediate setback, as the change of ownership allowed Jet Records to end its relationship with UA and switch its distribution to CBS Records, with the Jet back catalog transferring to CBS distribution as well. UA dumped many ELO albums into the cutout market, which CBS was unable to prevent.

In 1984, the United Quarab Registry (UQR) was formed as the breed association for Quarter Horse/Arabian crossbred horses. In 1989, a new section of the registry, called the Painted Quarab Index, was added to include horses with blood from the American Paint Horse that showed tobiano and overo color patterns. The UQR was privately owned and later went out of business after a change of ownership. In 1999 the International Quarab Horse Association was formed to register the breed, functioning under the same guidelines as the UQR and soon spreading overseas, with member groups in Germany and the Netherlands.
Under the terms of the deal, The Bakrie Group paid A$8 million for a 70% share of the club, with the FFA retaining the remaining 30% share. Under the terms of this deal, the Bakrie Group had the option to purchase a further 20% stake in the club with the FFA holding the remaining 10% share. This was followed by the Netherlands (2000), France (2003), China (2004), Italy and Japan (2006), USA (2007) and Australasia (2009). Andrew Michell sold the business in 2005 to a new private holding company owned by John Salmon, founder and former Chairman of Druck Ltd (Leicester, UK). Following the change of ownership the Group developed rapidly with the addition of international sales and service operations and the acquisition of new companies and technologies. The change of ownership and the appointment of Stephen Bleach as editor led to more explicitness, more girl-on-girl material, and a focus on established models, mostly with large- breasted figures. The detailed description of the girls' "everyday lives" gave way to explicit descriptions of their sex lives. The serious content was gradually dropped in favour of an approach more akin to mainstream magazines such as Loaded, while the male interviewees in Quest were dropped in favour of more extreme female-only contributions, including lesbianism. Today, Mayfair is published every four weeks along with fellow Paul Raymond adult titles such as Club International, Escort, Men Only, Men's World, and Razzle.
Dickinson signed a two-year contract with EFL League Two side Notts County in June 2016. He and the club endured a difficult 2016–17 campaign, which Dickinson said was the most "mentally challenging" of his career after the "Magpies" faced a change of ownership, manager and an unexpected relegation battle. He had expected to help lead a promotion charge under manager John Sheridan, but ended the season at Meadow Lane fighting on- loan Arsenal defender Marc Bola for the left-back spot under new boss Kevin Nolan. During the 2017–18 season he faced a battle with Daniel for the left- back spot.

Cyril Leeder was one of the principals, along with Terrace Investments' Bruce Firestone and Randy Sexton in the 'Bring Back the Senators' campaign in 1989 and 1990, which culminated in the NHL granting a franchise to the Terrace Investments group and the return of the Ottawa Senators to the NHL. Leeder remained with the organization after Firestone left in a change of ownership, and after Sexton was fired from the general manager's job. Leeder remained with the organization in charge of the Palladium arena, now known as the Canadian Tire Centre. Leeder is credited with being the founder of the Bell Capital Cup, an annual ice hockey tournament held in Ottawa.
From late 2003 discussions commenced on a merger between Telewest and NTL. Thanks to their geographically different areas, NTL and Telewest had co-operated previously, as in re- directing potential customers living outside their respective areas. On 3 October 2005, NTL announced a USD$6 billion purchase of Telewest, forming one of the largest media companies in the UK. The merger agreement as structured would have left NTL having to negotiate with BBC Worldwide, the BBC's commercial arm, due to a change-of-ownership clause written into the agreement for UKTV, a joint venture with Telewest's Flextech content division. To prevent this, Telewest instead acquired NTL.
As part of the privatisation of British Rail, all 35 87/0s passed to rolling stock leasing company Porterbrook and were leased to InterCity West Coast operator Virgin Trains in 1997. The locomotives continued to work the same services as before, the only outward indication of the change of ownership being the repainting of the locomotives in the red Virgin Trains livery. However, the Virgin policy of introducing a new fleet of trains inevitably meant that the writing was on the wall for the 87s. As Pendolino deliveries began to come on stream from 2002 onward, 87005 City of London was the first locomotive taken out of service.
In August 2012, the Fashion Design Council of Canada announced that they had sold Toronto's World MasterCard Fashion Week to the global media business IMG. In a press release at the time, Robin Kay said, "I am confident that the time is right for IMG to take World MasterCard Fashion Week to the next level." It was seen as a major coup for the FDCC and Robin Kay whose hard work to build Toronto Fashion Week as a major player in the global fashion calendar was recognised by IMG. As a result of the change of ownership, Robin Kay stepped down from her position as Toronto Fashion Week executive director.
The residential and other facilities were used by the Frontier School Division and by the late 1960s, the Frontier Collegiate Institute was established, using one of the barracks as the Frontier Collegiate Residence, as well as the Area Four Administrative Office. Today, the former mess hall provides all dietary services to high school students who reside on campus. The former Officers Mess is utilized primarily as a meeting room and location for large group presentations, and though the bar is still present, it has not been used for its intended purpose since the change of ownership. The helicopter hangar is now the home to the Area Four school buses.
Many other jurisdictions have similar transaction taxes on change of ownership which may be levied. In the United Kingdom, the dual application of stamp duty in such transactions was removed in the Finance Act 2003 in order to facilitate Islamic mortgages. An alternative scheme involves the bank reselling the property according to an installment plan, at a price higher than the original price. Both of these methods compensate the lender as if they were charging interest, but the loans are structured in a way that in name they are not, and the lender shares the financial risks involved in the transaction with the homebuyer.
However, both of these required a forcible change of ownership, and especially with an enforced sale, there was no guarantee that the building would actually be put back into use. In 2001, the Empty Homes Agency suggested that rather than force the properties to be sold, the local authorities could instead force them to be rented out to tenants, a "compulsory leasing" process. A parliamentary select committee adopted the idea, but government support for legislation was limited. In 2003, as the government drafted plans for housing reform, it issued consultation papers on a proposed form of "empty homes management orders", but they were not made part of the final Housing Bill.
In 1990, the park was purchased by The Tussauds Group. The change of ownership heralded an era of intense development, with a range of large attractions and new areas being built at the park, including the dark rides The Haunted House (1992) and Toyland Tours (1994), thrill rides such as Nemesis (1994), a hotel complex in 1996, Oblivion (1998), and Air (now known as Galactica) (2002). In 2005, Alton Towers was acquired by the investment group Dubai International Capital (DIC) when it purchased Tussauds for £800 million. The Tussauds Group was bought by Merlin Entertainments in March 2007 for over £1 billion from DIC, placing Alton Towers under their control.
Class 170 units have been categorised into six sub-classes; the basic specifications remain the same (engine, length, transmission, etc.), the differences being the seating arrangements specified by the different operators. Because of the different interior fittings the sub-classes differ in weight from one another by a small amount, up to ~2 tonnes. All the subclasses were built at Derby works either under ADtranz or Bombardier Transportation ownership. The change of ownership occurred in 2001, but early Bombardier units (such as the 2002 2-car 170/2 Phase 2 units) still display ADtranz branding, such as on the window glazing, due to use of backstocked parts.

A change of ownership of Burger King in 2004 prompted another reformulation of the product into the BK Baguette product line that focused on a more health-oriented product. This new formulation proved unpopular and was replaced in 2005 with the TenderGrill chicken sandwich. The TenderGrill sandwich was introduced as part of a series of sandwiches designed to expand Burger King's menu with both more sophisticated, adult oriented fare and present a larger, meatier product that appealed to 24-36 adult males. Burger King was the first major fast food chain to introduce a grilled chicken sandwich to the marketplace, beating rivals Wendy's by six months and McDonald's by four years.
In 1998, he erroneously announced Ian Dury's death from cancer, possibly due to hoax information from a listener who was disgruntled at the station's change of ownership. The event caused music paper NME (who had been involved in a running feud with Geldof since his Boomtown Rats days—primarily due to his disparagement of The Clash) to call Geldof "the world's worst DJ". Along with U2's Bono, he has devoted much time since 2000 to campaigning for debt relief for developing countries. His commitments in this field, including the organisation of the Live 8 concerts, kept Geldof from producing any more musical output since 2001's Sex, Age & Death album.
In the 1980s the property changed hands a number of times, but the hardware business has been sustained. The property underwent a change of ownership in 1988, with a number of alterations subsequently made to the building, including opening up the street awning, (which had been enclosed), replacing the front verandah posts, removing the walls and ceilings of the front display windows, concreting the floor, and adding an office extension to the rear of the building. Olsen's Home Hardware later shifted to a different Warwick location in Fitzroy Street. The store was vacant in 2010, but in 2015 was occupied by an Anytime Fitness gym.
If during the first 90 days of operations the new owner finds that it needs fewer workers, staff must be retained by order of seniority. During this 90 day period staff may not be otherwise dismissed except for cause. Workers must be provided with a written performance evaluation at the end of this period; these records must be retained for at least three years. Conspicuous public notice of change of ownership, including contact information for the new owners, must be posted within five days after a sale is agreed to and must remain posted for six months after the hotel has been open to the public under new management.
Maldonado was a target for a Campos Meta seat in . Campos team principal Adrián Campos said that Bruno Senna's team mate could be Pedro de la Rosa, Vitaly Petrov or Maldonado, but the team's financial problems and change of ownership changed the situation, and Karun Chandhok got the drive. It was then reported that Maldonado was close to signing a deal to be test and reserve driver for the Stefan Grand Prix team, which attempted to compete in the 2010 season following the withdrawal of the US F1 Team, which left a theoretical space for another new team. Stefan was barred from competing in the 2010 season.
George Williams dies With the country's economic state improving, so did the company's profits, which has seen them stabilise the company once more. On October 28, 2005, after weeks of speculation, ownership of Ikonboard was officially transferred to John Jarvis. However the change of ownership resulted in the site being down until December, with a new parent company 'Pitboss Entertainment'.Ikonboard.com in December 2005 finally accessible after ownership change. Though John Jarvis officially owned Ikonboard he had no visible presence on the site, with Joshua Johnson managing Ikonboard on his behalf. Soon after coming back online development on 3.1.3 resumed, being developed by a group of volunteers who referred to themselves as 'The Ikonboard Team' (and in addition provided support via the site's forums). Ikonboard 3.1.3 was publicly released on January 30, 2006, and 3.1.
At a total cost of $15,000, construction was completed in 1917 and the church held its first service on April 5, 1918. The First Congregational Church sponsored Boy Scout Troop One, the oldest troop in the Oregon Trails Council, who were organized at the church in October 1919, and continued to meet there until the change of ownership. The building continued to be used by members of the Congregationalist church for 17 years, before being sold to J. B. Hollingsworth and his business partner Raymond A. DeMoss, Corvallis funeral home directors, in 1935. They renamed the building DeMoss–Durdan Mortuary, and operated the building as a mortuary until Mr. DeMoss's death in 1978.
In the garden is a statue of St. John of Nepomuk, created by the sculptor Würtinger after the original was destroyed in the Second World War. From 1973, the estate became a cultural centre through the initiative of the "Association of Friends of the Beethoven Memorial Site in Floridsdorf" founded by Leopold Wech, where chamber music, domestic and folk music were cultivated and author evenings and lectures were held. Due to a change of ownership, the memorial had to close in 2013. A cooperative venture with the Floridsdorf District Museum has made it possible for the association's events to be held there and for the exhibits of the memorial to continue to be accessible to the public.
Thames Materials ltd was founded in 1995, it started as a small muck-away business with only two vehicles and based in Brentford and remained that way until 2003 before the company underwent a change of ownership and began to increase in size and profitability. In 2002 the UK Traffic Commissioner attempted to revoke its licence to operate lorries in 2002, which was overturned on appeal.Appeal from transport tribunal webpage The decision was reversed on the grounds that a change in ownership had taken place. In March 1999 the company was called to a public inquiry due to unsatisfactory maintenance and convictions, and as a result the company’s fleet was reduced from 10 to 7 vehicles.
In the United States, vehicle ownership is documented on a certificate of title.Massachusetts Title Law In the United States, each state's Department of Motor Vehicles or Registry of Motor Vehicles issues such documents when a vehicle is registered. Title deeds vary by design but always include vehicle- specific information at the front of the document (such as: year, make, model, VIN, color, etc.) and several boxes for transaction information at the back where information about change of ownership is recorded (such as sale date, odometer reading, seller and buyer names and signatures, etc.). In-state vehicle sales are recorded at the back of the title as long as there are unused reassignment boxes.
The Punch brand was first registered in 1840 by German named Stockmann and named for the European puppet show character, Mr. Punch (not the magazine, which was created a year later). The brand quickly became a success, especially in Great Britain. The first change of ownership came in 1874, when the brand was bought by a Luis Corujo, and again in 1884, when the brand was purchased by Manuel López Fernández and its bands and boxes still bear his name to this day. Retiring in 1924 and dying shortly after, López gave ownership of the brand to Esperanza Valle Comas, who only held it for a few years before the Stock Market Crash of 1929.
By the end of the 1970s the mall was sold to the Metts family, who were more willing to improve the property and work with neighborhood leaders. Inspired by the successful efforts to force positive change in the Mid City Mall situation, many who were involved formed the Highlands Commerce Guild in 1977, which continues to work to revitalize the Bardstown Road corridor as of 2007. Shortly after the change of ownership, land was leased to allow construction of restaurants in the part of the parking lot nearest Bardstown Road. The Skyline Chili remains but the other location began as Gatti's Pizza in 1979, became a Dairy Queen in 1997, and Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers in 2015.
The company, which was based at Witney, Oxfordshire, was taken over by King's Motors (Oxford) Ltd in mid-1949. King's Motors were well- known distributors of cars at the time, and were based in Oxford. Mr H F King, the chairman of King's Motors, stated that there was great potential in the market for both works trucks and battery-electric road vehicles, and that having acquired over 80 per cent of the shares in Tomlinson (Electric Vehicles) Ltd, they were planning to expand the business. The Tomlinson name was retained, despite the change of ownership. Tomlinson used the 1949 Dairy Show to unveil their next new vehicle, a four-wheeled ride-on model called the Goliath.
The location of the S-Bahn station directly on the sector border now shows significant effects, the eponymous district is out of reach to the east. For West Berlin, the station is rather uninteresting, because the nearest residential houses just under a kilometer south, and even behind the Kremmener Bahn (S-Bahn station Reinickendorf, today Alt-Reinickendorf) are. Accessed 10 December 2016. She arrived back in the Thames by 21 July 1799. Mather sold Tobago circa 1800. The change of ownership appears in the 1801 issue of Lloyd's Register, which shows her ownership changing to Thornborough and her trade to London-Africa. The same entry shows her armament increasing to sixteen 6-pounder guns, and gives the name of her master as W. Markay.Lloyd's Register (1801), Seq. №T218. However, on 24 May 1800 Captain William Mecham received a letter of marque for Tobago, of 293 tons (bm), and sixteen 6-pounder guns. Tobago, with owner Throckmorton and master, William Mecham, then made two slave voyages carrying slaves from the Gold Coast to British Guiana.
As a background to this change of ownership, the general climate for science and technology was becoming less favourable. Faith in scientific and technological solutions was diminished by some spectacular failures: the de Havilland Comet suffered catastrophic in-flight failures; thalidomide caused tragic birth defects. Government procurement projects were frequently out of control: the BAC TSR-2 was cancelled after enormous overspend in development and only 24 test flights; the de Havilland Blue Streak missile was also abandoned in 1960 after great expense. With Government budgets under severe pressure, contracts from government agencies were becoming harder to obtain, Thus most of Fulmer's markets were becoming difficult and Fulmer's long term viability was in doubt.
Raoul Kraushaar, the music director for the series, is the listed composer for the theme; however the changes he made to the original are so slight that only a trained ear can tell the difference. The third theme used for the series is an orchestral rendition of the aria, "Dio Possente" (Even Bravest Hearts May Swell) from Charles Gounod's opera, Faust. The exact time this theme started being used is uncertain due to conflicting records; however it is agreed that it was the third series, and was used for at least part of season four for the change of ownership of Lassie. The most famous of the Lassie theme songs appeared at the start of the fifth season.

The interiors and exteriors of the casino were used in the movie Top of the World (1997) starring Peter Weller, Dennis Hopper and Tia Carrere.
The Saunders A.7 Severn was the last flying boat designed by S.E. Saunders Ltd before the takeover by A.V. Roe and John Lord late in 1928 that produced the Saunders-Roe, or "Saro", company. Its first flight was two years after this change of ownership and it has been alternatively referred to as the Saunders/Saro Severn, the Saunders-Roe A7 and the Saro A7. It was designed to Air Ministry specification R.4/27 for a maritime patrol aircraft. It was the second Saunders aircraft to use their patented "corrugated" structure for the hull, first trialled on the Saunders A.14, in which longitudinal external corrugations in the skin replaced internal riveted stringers.

The River Arth is a small river that rises in the hills near Bethania, Ceredigion, Wales, and runs west for and discharges into Cardigan Bay at Aberarth. Despite its small size it is one of the few rivers in Britain which has a bore when the incoming tide cause a tidal wave to run upstream. The bore is only a few inches high and it runs only for a short distance upstream; beyond the road bridge in Aberarth the terrain rises steeply, preventing the bore propagating any further. In the 1970s, the River Arth suffered severe intermittent agricultural pollution from a dairy unit not far from the village but improved pollution control and a change of ownership of the farm rectified that position.
Baird Hall closed to students in summer 2004 and lay empty through 2005 and 2006 before work commenced early 2007 to convert the building into flats/apartments, these were sold after completion in 2008. During the years as student accommodation (as was and still is commonplace in Scotland) Baird Hall was kept open and the rooms made available to tourists at cheap rates in the summer closed season (June, July and August). Today many student accommodation buildings remain open during summer to take advantage of tourism, in a change of ownership structure a large proportion Halls of residence/dorms in Scotland and the UK as a whole are now privately operated and owned by businesses and no longer held by colleges and universities.
The positioning and lighting within the paintings seems to indicate that they were meant to each flank a side of an altar in the domed chapel. Although the paintings were paired for a time through change of ownership, Julius II is now located in the National Gallery. As a means of indicating Julius' appreciation of the Madonna, which resulted in the pairing of paintings, Julius commissioned another Madonna painting, the Sistine Madonna, in the last year of his life where his adoration is shown by the Pope kneeling at the feet of the Virgin. There are many suppositions about the circumstances surrounding the Madonna painting after Popolo, partly because there were many copies of the painting and partly due to delays in publication of vital documents.
Throughout its history, the team primarily competed in Formula Renault, with past drivers including 2007 Formula One World Champion Kimi Räikkönen, 2008, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton and other Formula One drivers such as Antônio Pizzonia. In 1994 James Matthews set a record 11 race wins in a season that lasted more than 20 years, on his way to winning both the British and European series for Manor. They entered Formula Three in 1999, winning successive British titles with Marc Hynes and Pizzonia. In 2007, Manor Motorsport saw a change of ownership when Formula Renault UK team manager, Tony Shaw, bought out John Booth and continued operating under the name of Manor Competition from a completely separate base.
For a period of over 150 years from 1695 the government of England levied a window tax, with the result that one can still see listed buildings with windows bricked up in order to save their owners money. A similar tax on hearths existed in France and elsewhere, with similar results. The two most common types of event-driven property taxes are stamp duty, charged upon change of ownership, and inheritance tax, which many countries impose on the estates of the deceased. In contrast with a tax on real estate (land and buildings), a land-value tax (or LVT) is levied only on the unimproved value of the land ("land" in this instance may mean either the economic term, i.e.
Briggs remodelled the far end of the courtyard, creating a neo-Baroque space with raised verandah leading into a double-height foyer dominated by an undulating balcony at gallery level, accessed via a double staircase. In the eastern side of the building Briggs created a double- height ballroom with similar undulating balcony (reminiscent of theatre boxes) and unusual Art Nouveau plasterwork linked by anteroom with the former restaurant (now The Cloisters), the cove of which was decorated with lively rococo plasterwork. Following a change of ownership in 2010 the hotel has again undergone substantial refurbishment, restoring the building back to the original splendour created by Briggs. Recently the hotel has undergone an update to the main entrance of the hotel.
Nicholas owned the estate of Forró at most until January 1273, when the previous holder, a certain Aladar, son of Csete, a loyal supporter of Elizabeth the Cuman regained the land from Stephen's successor, the minor Ladislaus IV (during that time, Elizabeth's co-regency lasted until 1277). To explain that change of ownership, historian Attila Zsoldos considers either Nicholas' death without legal heirs by that time and a confiscation act for some reason. However two of his sons, Lawrence and Egyed were mentioned by a diploma from 1288. After Stephen V's death, Nicholas' relative, Egyed Monoszló laid siege to Elizabeth's palace in Székesfehérvár to prevent the minor Ladislaus' coronation, but her ally, Joachim Gutkeled's supporters routed him in late August 1272.
The rights include jus in re (right on the property) and jus in rem (right against the property). The doctrine of maritime lien is that a ship will be treated as a wrongdoer, not the owner, that the loss, damage or harm is caused by the maritime property, itself, and it has to make good for the loss. The attachment of maritime lien will start when the cause of action arises and will not be eliminated even by change of ownership in a good faith purchase. Two significant differences between maritime liens, which only exist in admiralty law, and the right to keep that exist in general civil law are (1) that in general civil law, "Prior in time is prior in right", i.e.
After finishing bottom of the league they were due to be relegated for the 2009/10 season, but they received a stay of execution at the EIHA's AGM when it emerged that no team was willing to step up from Division Two to replace them. Matters on the ice did not improve for the Greyhounds and they endured another torrid season, finishing second from bottom. The poor performance of the team on and off the ice lead to a mid-season change of ownership with Nick Rothwell taking over from Jan Bestic. During the summer of 2010 the ice rink at Alexandra Palace was refurbished at a cost of £2.3million, however due to the nature of the building work a completion date could not be guaranteed.
E-II went through bankruptcy and was renamed Astrum International. In 1993, Astrum purchased American Tourister luggage, complementing Samsonite. In 1995, Astrum split, and an independent Samsonite (now including American Tourister) was once again headquartered in Denver. The Denver factory, which employed 4,000 at its peak, closed in May 2001. Samsonite headquarters moved from Denver to Mansfield, Massachusetts, after a change of ownership in May 2005. Samsonite moved its US marketing and sales offices from 91 Main Street in Warren, Rhode Island, to Mansfield, Massachusetts, effective September 1, 2005. In 2005 the company was acquired by Marcello Bottoli, former CEO of Louis Vuitton, to pull them out of a long slump. Bottoli left the company in 2009. In July 2007 finance investor CVC Capital Partners took over Samsonite for $1.7 billion.
Sally Line was founded in 1981 by Michael Kingshott as a subsidiary of the Finland-based Rederi Ab Sally, and initially marketed as Sally Viking Line, with a livery that was nearly identical with that of Viking Line, a Baltic Sea ferry consortium that Sally was a member of. The naming scheme of Sally's Viking Line ships was also carried over to the UK operations, with ships named either The Viking or Viking [number]. In 1987 Rederi Ab Sally, including the Sally Line UK operations, was sold to Effoa and Johnson Line, Sally's Baltic Sea rivals and owners of Silja Line. As a result of the change of ownership, a new Sally Line UK livery was adopted in 1988 and the company's ships were renamed with a Sally-prefix.
She quickly earned a reputation for both her commercial skills and her eccentricity, never being seen without her French Bulldogs and a cigar. Under her management, Hotel Sacher became one of the finest hotels in the world, where the aristocracy and diplomats would meet. However, after World War I Anna Sacher upheld the upper-class reputation of the hotel and denied service to guests of non-aristocratic descent, at the same time granting generous credit to impoverished aristocrats. Her management ran the business into financial problemsMatthias, p. 22. and eventually to bankruptcy and change of ownership in the 1930s.Campbell and Cotter, p. 33. In 1934, the hotel business was taken over by the Gürtler family under the company name "Eduard Sacher GmbH & Co OHG" and the building was extensively renovated.
This name change was initiated by the new leadership team which took the reins in early 2010. Dr. Yoram Neumann, previously the vice president for academic affairs at California State University Dominguez Hills and the President, CEO, and founder of TUI University, was appointed president of USU. During its June 18, 2014 meeting, the Structural Change Committee of the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) granted United States University (USU) approval for a change of ownership from Educacion Significativa, LLC, to Linden, LLC. In 2016, United States University moved their campus from Chula Vista, CA to Mission Valley, CA. In June 2017, monthly payment plans (MPP) were introduced for five of its programs as a financially manageable alternative to help students fund their education with minimal student loan debt.
In the 1940s in the United States, music intended for African American audiences was generally called race music or sepia music until the development of the expression rhythm and blues (R&B;). There was a magazine for African-Americans called Sepia, which existed from 1947 to 1983 (although the name Sepia was only applied after a change of ownership in 1953).Mia Chandra Long, Seeking A Place In The Sun: Sepia Magazine's Endeavor For Quality Journalism and Place In The Negro Market, 1951-1982, PhD dissertation, Tuscaloosa: University of Alabama, 2011, pp. 5, footnote 16 Acclaimed Russian director Andrei Tarkovsky used a sepia tone in his 1979 science-fiction film Stalker to visually distinguish scenes set in the forbidden Zone from the real world, which is generally portrayed in black and white.
He began well, but failed to make the starting eleven in the latter part of the season. With his contract due to expire, Haarhoff was one of several players called in by the chairman for two weeks' fitness training; those who failed to attend, Haarhoff included, were threatened with dismissal, but a few days later he was offered and accepted a two-year contract. In October 2001, after a change of ownership and management at the club, Haarhoff was offered a loan move to Droylsden of the Northern Premier League, which he turned down. In February 2002 he had been playing for the reserve team, but returned to the first team as a substitute to score a last-minute winner to knock Hereford United out and reach the quarter-final of the FA Trophy.
Bradridge placed an add for tenders from bricklayers for three shops and dwellings in George Street North in The Sydney Morning Herald in February 1867 which may relate to the construction of the subject buildings. By 1868, Gannon's assignment of the lease to Hanson had expired and the subsequent lease arrangements have not been located. In 1870, Moorehead and Young sold the land to William Yeoman, a painter who already occupied the premises at 97 George Street. As a lengthy gap frequently occurred in the 19th century between effectively taking ownership of land and having the change of ownership registered with the Government, it is possible that Yeoman took over the land and caused the improvements to be carried out prior to officially having the land conveyed to him.
Much of the planting of the pleasure gardens dating from the 1870s survived until the 1970s when the gardens were removed and the rides expanded. 1976 saw the debut of a revolutionary new ride, the 'Orbiter', unveiled by travelling showman and Dreamland lessee Henry Smith, a ride which went on to become highly successful in other amusement parks and travelling fairs around the world. Smith, himself a descendant of George Sanger, also had a Skid,Paul Angel photograph, Margate Dreamland Amusement Park, 1980 Waltzer,Paul Angel photograph, Margate Dreamland Amusement Park, 1980 Speedway, Tip Top,Dick Price photograph, Margate Amusement Park, 1978 and another OrbiterDick Price photograph, Nottingham Goose Fair, 1980 up until the park's change of ownership in 1981. 1980 saw the opening of a 240-seater 148 ft high Big wheel.
The Carriageway is believed to have been built , during Albury's boom period as a border post and steamer port and has been used as an inn or hostel, as well as a private residence later. In October 1978 the Heritage Council received a request from the National Trust of Australia (NSW) for protection under the Heritage Act for The Carriageway. At that time the National Trust and the Albury Historical Society was concerned for the future of The Carriageway as it was being offered for sale by auction and its future was insecure through change of ownership. A section 130 Order under the Heritage Act was placed over The Carriageway on 10 November 1978. The Carriageway went to auction but was passed in at $50,000 and subsequently purchased by a local medical practitioner.
As a result, Southwick Court passed to his cousin Anne, daughter of his aunt Alice. Anne was married to Sir John Willoughby of the house of Willoughby of Eresby. Though Sir John Willoughby was himself killed in the Battle of Tewkesbury in 1471, the house remained in the family. Sir John’s eldest son was Sir Robert Willoughby, and along with many others among Wiltshire’s gentry, he joined with the Duke of Buckingham to resist Richard III. As a result, Willoughby’s lands were seized by the King, and Southwick Court (and also the manor of Brooke near Westbury) were bestowed upon Richard’s favourite Edward Ratcliffe in 1483. That change of ownership was to prove only temporary and two years later, Southwick Court was restored to the Willoughby family following Richard’s defeat at the Battle of Bosworth.
The Ernest Alliott Swimming Complex, as the pool complex was dedicated, was officially opened on the 21st of February 1998 in the presence of the school's founder. The Cooper Hall, where assemblies, concerts and other events are held, was named in memory of the late former principal of Dover Court, Eric Cooper. The campus underwent extensive refurbishment work following its change of ownership in 2014, with further refurbishment of the school's original infrastructure, and the development of new facilities - including the construction a running track, a grass football pitch, basketball and netball courts, a sensory garden, a radio and television recording studio, and several playgrounds. In August 2019, a new building for the secondary years was opened to further facilitate the school's expansion beyond preparatory education and into secondary and sixth form.
The 2003–04 season was the 118th season in the history of Luton Town Football Club, and club's 83rd consecutive year in the Football League. Luton finished in tenth place, a surprising success considering the financial issues that afflicted the club. Despite being placed in administrative receivership for the majority of the season following a turbulent change of ownership and having a rigorous transfer embargo imposed as a result, signing players only with the Football League's special dispensation, the club accrued more points than in the previous campaign. The lack of spending power meant that numerous youth team players were promoted to the first-team squad, such as Kevin Foley, Curtis Davies, Keith Keane, and Leon Barnett; as well as players with no previous professional football experience, like Enoch Showunmi.
The FIAT organized later, in 1986, a further series of test runs on Brescia-Iseo-Edolo (Valcamonica railway) whose owner, SNFT, judged the railcar unsuitable for the demanding services. In the same period, with the formula of loan use, the railcar was also used by SATTI for services on the Canavesana railway. The first buyer of A2n 001 appeared in 1988, when the Swiss association "Vapeur Val-de-Traves" bought and moved it in its Neuchâtel depot; however, using the railcar on an occasional basis. A new change of ownership took place in 1997, when the railcar was purchased by SNIM - National Society of Industries and Mines of Mauritania which, after installation of air conditioning, aimed to employ it again in a tourist service on the relationship Nouadhibou-Zouérate.
Upon its sale, Poli remodeled the theatre, renamed it The Grand, and continued to show silent movies. In 1926 he hired renowned theatre designer Thomas W. Lamb, doubled the theatre's seating capacity to 3,500 and transformed the building into a palatial showcase, including a two-story lobby with mirrored walls, marbleized columns, an ornate grand staircase, and an immense chandelier in the main auditorium, just in time for the beginning of sound film, or the talkies in 1927. In 1928, Poli sold his theatre holdings to William Fox who then renamed it the Loew's Poli. After another change of ownership, Sumner Redstone and Redstone Theaters purchased the building in 1967 opening it as Showcase Cinemas and continued operations as a multiscreen movie house until 1998 when Redstone's National Amusements closed the theatre.
Community projects were arranged to restore the grave site in 1894 and in 1935, and the stiles were built with a Community Bicentennial Grant in 1988. On change of ownership of the property on which the grave sits, access was closed off by the owner in about 2005 and it is now rarely used as the stiles have been deliberately broken or locked off. Strong community pride in the site has seen several attempts at rectifying this, and it is hoped that during Braidwood's 175 anniversary celebrations in 2014 the stiles can be restored and the path reopened.Braidwood & District Historical Society, March 2013 The route commences with the first stile () at the corner of the Kings Highway and Wallace Street at the North end of town and is a 1.3 kilometre walk.
The Exeter and Crediton line was now part of the LSWR; it had long been controlled by it, and the neighbouring North Devon Railway had been acquired in 1865, so that the change of ownership simply continued the situation: the Exeter to Barnstaple line was just a branch of the LSWR. Under agreements of 1860 incorporated into Acts of Parliament, the GWR continued to run broad gauge goods trains to Crediton until the abolition of broad gauge on 20 May 1892; narrow gauge GWR goods trains continued operating until 1 October 1903. The Exeter and Crediton section was the stem of the LSWR's continuing expansion in Devon; if the initial traffic in the area was in agricultural and fisheries, the LSWR energetically developed the emerging idea of seaside holidays. Nonetheless the main line to Plymouth was the most important asset.
Microsoft Lumia 535, the first Microsoft branded Lumia device Even after the acquisition of Nokia's mobile device business by Microsoft, several Lumia devices were unveiled by Microsoft Mobile in September 2014 that still carried the Nokia name, including the Lumia 830 and Lumia 735. In July 2014, it had been reported by evleaks that Microsoft was attempting to license the Nokia name in a co-branding scheme, which would have possibly seen future devices branded as "Nokia by Microsoft". As a part of the change of ownership, the social network pages have also been rebranded as Microsoft Lumia rather than Microsoft Mobile; this sought to emphasize the Windows Phone over other Nokia mobile phones while also updating social network pages of Windows Phone to the new Microsoft Lumia branding. To reflect this change, Nokia Conversations was also rebranded as Lumia Conversations, and NokNok.

30English-Network - Comedy Nights By mid-2007, a change of ownership and new limitations on live shows at the Hard Rock Cafe forced a change of venue, to the Alter Wartesaal at Cologne Hauptbahnhof. The large size of the Alter Wartesaal and the positioning of the show in the week (Mondays) made it extremely difficult to fill, and so only three shows took place there. The show then moved back to Flanagan's Irish Pub in the Altermarkt, not far from the Alter Wartesaal. Many comedians have performed in the shows, such as Heinz Gröning(better known to German audiences as der Unglaubliche Heinz, moderator of "Um Antwort wird Gebieten"(Comedy Central) and "FunkHaus" (WDR)),Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, No.236 Sat/Sun 11/12 Oct 2003 P.33 "Hollywoods komische Nacht" Chris McCausland,Rhine Magazine, issue 5, Sept/Oct 2004,P.
After a change of ownership, in 2011, Atalanta immediately came back to Serie A, where it has been ever since. The 1962–63 Coppa Italia In terms of titles the club has won little; their sole major silverware is the 1963 Coppa Italia. The club has had a few good runs in Europe, on several occasions being eliminated by the eventual winners. Welsh club Merthyr Tydfil caused an upset in the 1987–88 European Cup Winners' Cup, beating Atalanta 2–1 in the first leg of their first round match at Penydarren Park. After winning the second leg 2–0 in Bergamo, Atalanta went on to reach the semi-finals, losing to eventual winners Mechelen of Belgium, but in the process becoming one of only two teams in the competition's history to reach the penultimate round while playing their football outside of the national top flight league.

Production exceeded 100,000 tons in 1968 for the first time. Black tin production was steady at between 500 and 800 tons a year from 1907 to 1956, excluding a break in production during the tin price slump of the early 1920s. Wolframite and arsenic was also produced at the mine, the former accounting for around 50 tons to 150 tons between 1907 and 1956, and the latter between 500 tons and 1000 tons between 1907 and 1919, declining to 100 tons by 1956.Dines, H. G. (1956) The Metalliferous Mining Region of South-West England, 326 pp. In 1967, South Crofty Ltd became a wholly owned subsidiary of Siamese Tin Syndicate Ltd and Siamese Tin's subsidiary, St Piran Ltd. This change of ownership was the start, in 1969, of a £1 million programme to increase ore hoisting capacity and to make substantial improvements to the mill.
After the success of his first album, 1996's Inarticulate Nature Boy, Clayton-Felt prepared to release a new batch of songs under the title Center of Six. Record label A&M; suspended all contracts and placed a freeze on recordings during their buyout by Universal Records, preventing the release of Center of Six; subsequently, over 200 artists were dropped during the post-acquisition "cleaning house" process, including Clayton-Felt. Further, the new owners refused to allow Clayton-Felt to use or buy back his previously recorded material, and he was contractually prevented from re-recording it for five years, though he continued working on the material. Over the years following the change of ownership, Clayton-Felt developed new material, self-releasing two recordings - ...Felt Like Making a Live Record and Beautiful Nowhere; whilst also continuing to lobby Universal to release its claim on his earlier work.

However, as a result of the change of ownership, BMW redeveloped the entire Cowley plant, demolishing much of the factory, to create a new factory and renamed this "Plant Oxford", on the site of what was historically the Pressed Steel Company's Cowley Body Plant and next door to what was historically the Morris factory. Since 2006, Plant Hams Hall produces the new Mini petrol engines, Plant Oxford is responsible for the body shell production, paint and assembly, and Plant Swindon produces body pressings and sub-assemblies, creating the "Mini Production Triangle". Mini claim that 60% of components of the Mini Mk II come from suppliers based in the UK compared to 40% for the 2001 model. The Countryman is the first modern Mini assembled outside the UK, with the contract won by Magna Steyr in Austria. At Plant Oxford 4,000 employees, referred to as "associates", produce up to 800 cars each day (approximately 240,000 per year).
Oleksandr Altman was officially registered on 24 April 2013 as the channel's owner but according to Konstantin Kagalovsky, TVi's previously registered owner, the documents showing that he sold the station were forged.Ukrainian TV Station Staff Strike To Protest Takeover, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (24 April 2013) Staff strike at Ukraine's opposition TV after takeover, GlobalPost (24 April 2013) Ukraine's only critical TV station silenced by ownership dispute, Reuters (25 April 2013) The staff of TVi then went on strike to protest the change of ownership that they fear will undermine their ability to air news critical of President Viktor Yanukovych. Wonderland, the only major Indianapolis park not to have water access was forced to maintain its costly routine of renovating and upgrading itself and introducing new rides and attractions, making its continuing existence more and more problematic."City Pays Millions for Entertainment," Indianapolis Star, June 23, 1907, cited in Indianapolis Amusement Parks 1903–1911: Landscapes on the Edge – Connie J. Zeigler, Indiana University 2007 The three parks had drawn a combined one million patrons in 1906–1907. Increasing costs of construction of new rides and attractions, coupled with an increasing need to advertise, eventually forced a change of ownership of Wonderland. The Wonderland Construction Company gave way to a new publicly owned corporation, the Wonderland Amusement Company; the officers include Indianapolis resident E. I. Fisher (also the president of Capital Paper Company) as president of Wonderland, Frank M. Talbott (Indianapolis Basket Company), A. Lehman (Indianapolis Paper Box Company), and park general manager Frank M. Wicks.
The accident was for those who were blurred by the excitement of the moment, and believed that the team could climb even higher and soon demanded the change of ownership. From there, players leaving and coming, administrations changed without programming, independently on the intentions of everyone.. The fact is that AEL gradually lost its credibility inside and outside stadiums and inevitably led eight years later, in May 1996, to the relegation which was spared in 1991, thanks to the amazing second round course. More generally, although great players such as late Lefter Millos, also unjustly shed, Ştefan Stoica, Paulo Da Silva, David Embé and Vangelis Tsoukalis, wore the shirt and tried to give the team its lost glory, failed nothing more than some effects – flickering, in a prescribed downward spiral that culminated with the painful return to the Second Division after 18 years. Worst of all, however, occurred on 13 September 1997, when the "eagle stopped flying".
The Amador Ledger entered the twentieth century with a change of ownership, but with its long-held politics in place. On January 2, 1900, the Amador County Publishing Company acquired the Amador Ledger and discontinued the Amador Republican, which it had owned for several years. The paper continued to advocate for Republican politics and to report on issues of import to the community in general, in particular the status of the local mining industry. Another transfer of ownership and editorship put Richard Webb at the helm of the Amador Ledger on June 8, 1901, along with “some of the wealthiest and most prominent men in [the] county.” Under Webb’s guidance, the Amador Ledger claimed the county’s largest circulation by the end of the decade, with the masthead touting: “It pays the business man to advertise in the Ledger.” The paper's business-friendly stance extended to its coverage of local issues, with heavy criticism of miners' efforts to unionize.
In response to a claim that Borchetta was seeking a sum of US$200 million for Big Machine since the release of Swift's fifth studio album 1989, the label head refuted the claim in November 2014: "Every time we have a Taylor [Swift] record, they're like, 'Oh, he's selling the company.'" However, Borchetta did not rule out a future change of ownership, stating that "the business is changing so quickly, and if I see a strategic opportunity that's going to be better for our artists and executives, it's going to be a serious conversation." Following the release of 1989, her Big Machine contract requires her to produce one more full-length album for the label. The Zac Brown Band announced on January 12, 2015, that it had finalized a four-way strategic partnership involving the Southern Ground Artists record label, Big Machine Label Group, Republic Records and John Varvatos Records for the release of its fourth studio album.
Dom Daviot, parish priest in Gros Islet, wrote a letter to one of his friends in Haute-Saône in 1802 in which he states: "it is in the vicinity of my parish that the wife of the first consul was born," at the time, Paix Bouche was a part of Castries; he asserts that he was well acquainted with Josephine's cousin who was a parishioner. Josephine's father owned an estate in Soufriere Quarter called Malmaison, the name of her now famous French residence. It is also assumed that the de Taschers estate in Martinique was a pied-a-terre [occasional lodging] with his mother-in-law. St Lucia switched hands between England and France 14 times and at the time of Joesphine's birth there were no civil registers on the island that would explain her baptism in Martinique; however, St. Lucia's frequent change of ownership between England and France could be seen as the reason Josephine's birthplace was left out on her birth record as it would have affected her nationality.
In 1934 the Reporter acquired the North Cheshire Herald, merging it with their Hyde Reporter. In 1937 the group took on the Glossop Chronicle. Gerald Andrew became managing director at the end of 1961, after the death of his uncle, William Andrew. At this time circulation stood at around 90,000, having risen from more than 50,000 before the war. Gerald revolutionised the paper in 1962 when news appeared on the front page for the first time (previously only advertisements were present). In October 1966, the Reporter moved out of Warrington Street to Waterside Mill off Whitelands Road, Ashton, where a new high-speed Crabtree Viscount rotary press was installed, which allowed colour printing. After spending years fighting off advances from United Newspapers, who were keen to buy the Reporter Group, Gerald Andrew finally conceded in February 1980. The change of ownership brought about more dramatic changes. Towards the end of 1984 the Denton, Droylsden and Mossley offices were closed. In March 1986, Ashton Weekly Newspapers left Waterside Mill and moved to Park House, Acres Lane, Stalybridge.
Bus services through the village had always been minimal and just met the demand to and from Daventry. The village is located in the unprofitable fringes between big bus company areas. United Counties Omnibus Company withdrew the remaining service in 1980 when Northamptonshire County Council withdrew financial support. After that, infrequent services were provided by K W Coaches Ltd of Daventry, a company registered on 16 December 1936 and its name was changed to Geoff Amos Coaches Ltd on 18 April 1983 upon a change of ownership and its base moved to Eydon. The Government’s Rural Bus Challenge led to the formation of the Great Central ConneXion quality bus partnership between Geoff Amos Coaches, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire County Councils. From 4 September 2000 the village was provided with a bus service better than ever experienced before when an hourly service began from Banbury via Byfield, Woodford Halse, back to Byfield, through Badby and Staverton to Daventry and thence through Braunston, HM Prison Onley and Dunchurch to Rugby railway station.
The term has also been used to refer to a club formed by supporters of a major team when a change of ownership or policy causes them to lose faith in the management of their favoured side. This happened in 2005, when F.C. United of Manchester was formed by some fans of Manchester United, as a protest at the sale of the latter to Malcolm Glazer, and at what they saw as the excessive commercialisation of the club although the new club's status as a phoenix is open to dispute if the original club still exists. The term is derived from the mythical phoenix, a bird which was said to resurrect itself from its own ashes. In the Australia-New Zealand A-League, the demise of the sole New Zealand team, New Zealand Knights, resulted in the newly-created club actually calling itself the Wellington Phoenix FC. In some cases, phoenix clubs will retain the name of the club which they replaced, implying a continuation from the former team.
Other sources of water pollution in the city such as run-offs from domestic and agricultural activities and vehicle emissionsLakudzala et al., 1999; Masamba and Chimbalanga, 2001, Sajidu et al, 2007 have been identified. Previous studies have indicated substantial heavy metal pollution in the city's water bodies including streams.Lakudzala et al., 1999; Sajidu et al., 2007; Kaonga et al., (2008) Major changes in industrial activities have occurred in the city including a decrease in volumes of wastewater generated by the David Whitehead company, which used to be a major contributor of wastewater effluent in Makata industrial area; change of ownership and wastewater management of Cold Storage Company; closure of the Shire Bus Line; doubling of wastewater generation from both Carlsberg and Chibuku Products due to increase in production and installation of some industrial pre-treatment plants such as at Chibuku, Plascon and Dulux. Manufacturing contributes approximately 14% to GDP. In the period 1996–1999 the sector showed 0% growth, partly due to the rapid liberalisation of markets exposing Malawi's manufacturers to competition from South Africa and Zimbabwe.
The period after 1945 was a period of reconstruction and rebuilding, although Evan Thomas, Radcliffe, in common with all other South Wales shipowners, was never to enjoy the prosperity of the pre First World War period. Cardiff was to witness a gradual decline in the fortunes of its docks as the export of coal diminished, for Cardiff, above all, was a coal exporting port and its fortunes had been built on the export of that one single commodity. Many of the Cardiff tramp steamers were concerned in the coal trade and the vessels owned by Evan Thomas, Radcliffe were principally designed for transporting coal. The company, therefore, had to look elsewhere for its freight and with the change of ownership to the Evans and Reid group, as a fully integrated company within the group after some years in partnership with Evans and Reid, the Radcliffe fleet was principally an oil tanker fleet. In 1946 the company possessed only 5 ships of its own: Llanberis (built 1928); Llangollen (built 1928); Peterston (built 1925); Flimston (built 1925) and Llandaff (built 1937).
In January 1990, Cathay Pacific, Swire Group and CITIC Pacific acquired an 89 per cent stake in the airline, with CITIC Pacific holding 38 per cent; while the family of the airline's chairman Kuang-Piu Chao reduced their holding from 22 per cent to 6 per cent, with the remainder held by minor shareholders. The change of ownership saw Cathay Pacific transferring its Beijing and Shanghai routes to Dragonair, along with a Lockheed L-1011 TriStar on a lease basis. The first Airbus A320 joined the airline's fleet in March 1993 and by December, there was a total of six A320 aircraft. The Kurri Kurri aluminium smelter was located in Kurri Kurri, Australia and operated from 1969 until 2012. Developed by Alcan Australia Limited, the Smelter experienced a change of ownership three times during its operations. Through gradual expansion, the Smelter increased its production capacity from 30,000 tonnes per year (t/y) to 180,000 t/y of aluminium metal by the 1990s. The Kurri Kurri Smelter was engaged in operations in four areas; potlines for the melting of alumina, a cast house for casting of molten metal, a carbon plant for baking anodes, and anode plants for the manufacturing of carbon anodes. Environmental concerns were raised over the smelter’s production and expansion, resulting in the establishment of emissions reduction technologies and ongoing environmental monitoring over the lifetime of the Smelter. Challenging industrial relations have been documented throughout the Smelter’s operation, mainly during the 1990s and 2000s due to changing management and structure of the plant. The Smelter’s official closure in 2014 has since been followed by ongoing developments to remediate the land for its use for residential, industrial and conservation reasons. The land and some remaining power infrastructure from the smelter was sold in 2020 to developers.

The early years of the 21st century was to prove to be a challenging period. The axing of News at Ten caused public outcry and ITN's viewership figures fell by 13.9% Political pressure and pressure from the media resulted in ITV bringing back a shorter 20-minute bulletin at 10 pm three nights a week. The programme eventually lost share to the BBC News at Ten (which launched in 2000 to capitalise on ITV's move) and ITV eventually axed the programme again in 2004 and moved the bulletin to 10:30 pm before bringing it back to 10 pm again in 2008. The biggest challenge came in 2001 when British Sky Broadcasting bid to supply network news to ITV as part of a consortium. ITN eventually succeeded and was awarded a contract extension to 2008. In January 2005 Sky News took over supplying bulletins to Channel 5; ITN had produced 5 News since its launch in 1997 and the contract was returned in February 2012, following a change of ownership at Channel 5. In August 2000, ITN launched its own 24-hour news channel in the UK, broadcast on satellite, cable and digital terrestrial. It was 50% owned by ITN and 50% owned by NTL.
