Additionally, she was motivated by a desire for women to have the same opportunities as men, and founded the Tau Beta Sigma Club in 1939.
Banes, Sachs (2003), p. 29. Her first evening length choreography, for six dancers, called Terrain, was performed at Judson Church in 1963. One of Rainer's most famous pieces, Trio A (1966), was initially the first section of an evening-long work entitled The Mind Is a Muscle. Her decision in "Trio A" to execute movements with an even distribution of energy reflected a challenge to traditional attitudes to "phrasing," which can be defined as the way in which energy is distributed in the execution of a movement or series of movements.
He tells her about the strange tattoo he has and that he thinks he is an Indian. After these incidents, he and Scott refused to read or control anyone's minds but each other's. They find a lead to one of the men that kidnapped Scott, Colton Banes, and Alicia persuades Jamie to read his mind to find out where Scott is. Jamie manages to find out where Scott is being held: Silent Creek, a juvenile Centre, where he is being tortured in order to be on Nightrise's side.
He captained Durham University in its first two years of first-class cricket in 2001 and played in six first- class matches for the university in 2001 and 2002 as well as appearing in two first-class matches for the British Universities cricket team. Banes made his List A cricket debut in September 2001 in the early rounds of the 2002 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy for Kent Cricket Board. He was released by Kent at the end of the 2002 season,McCague moves on, BBC Sport, 2002-09-23.
In this piece he used three chickens, a full-sized overstuffed chair made of cake and yellow frosting, and clothes with zippers in the seams that could be taken off and put back together in an assortment of ways. Paxton also challenged the concept of sex and sexuality in dance.Sally Banes, Terpsichore, 64. Not only was Paxton a revolutionary to the changing world of dance around him but his experimentation with movement and the structure of the human body crafted a different version of what it was to be a dancer.
Fox received worldwide recognition for her breakout role as Mikaela Banes in the blockbuster action film Transformers (2007). She reprised her role in the sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) and portrayed the titular character in the horror comedy Jennifer's Body (2009). She starred as April O'Neil in the superhero action film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) and its sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016). The stunt was also used by the character Bumblebee in the 2007 Transformers film, in a scene just before the robot changes the exterior disguise from the 1976 Chevrolet Camaro to the 2009 Camaro. In the movie, Bumblebee's retro look is insulted by Mikaela Banes, and Bumblebee stops to eject her and Sam Witwicky from the car. Bumblebee then drives off and skis on two wheels past a 2009 Camaro that drives by and scans it. Bumblebee then returns moments later to Sam and Mikaela, surprising the two, as the newer version of the car.
Satin (2003), p.71 In Terpsichore in Sneakers, Sally Banes describes Waring's work: > [Waring's] dances sometimes looked like [Merce] Cunningham's - with their > decentralized use of space, collage formats, disconnected structures but > balletic carriage - but his method was based on intuition rather than > chance. Waring abandoned narrative and dramatic structure in the mid-1950s, > creating atmospheres (often nostalgic) referring lovingly and archly to > variety dancing and ballet, and mixing musical as well as dancing styles > (including ordinary and idiosyncratic gestures). Waring was a gentle > humorist, sometimes parodying other dance genres, often close to camp.
Big Room consisted of Van Riper playing music (typically on a saxophone) and Forti simultaneously performing movements based on her observations of animals, similar to her 1968 work, Sleep Walkers (alternatively titled Zoo Mantras). Sally Banes wrote that Big Room "creates a sense of mutual play between the two, a sense of trust and shared exploration, relying on preferences of the moment while paying attention to the present needs of the partner." Forti and Van Riper performed Big Room from 1975 to 1980, in France as well as America.
After seeing he has a pulse, Richard runs back to bring get help for Matt. Joe Feather, the Native American intake officer at Silent Creek, knows of the mysterious tattoo on Jamie's shoulder, having seen all of the boys during the embarrassing strip search at intake. He explains to Jamie that the twins are two of the Five, but Scott has already left Silent Creek. They work out a convincing plan to save Daniel and escape, whilst at the same time, Colton Banes is on their way to Silent Creek to kill Jamie.
With choreographer Simone Forti In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Van Riper worked with dancer Simone Forti, providing lighting design and live sound accompaniment to her dance performances.Sally Banes, Terpsichore in Sneakers: Post-Modern Dances, Wesleyan University Press, 1987. To counter Megatron, Optimus formed the Autobots, a group of civilian Transformers sworn to protect the AllSpark. Throughout the evolution of the Transformers, wars brought on the demise of their planet. Although the Autobots initially make a poor first impression with the authorities, the U.S. government is eventually convinced by Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes that they are allies against the true threat of the Decepticons and cooperate to help them in the battle to keep the AllSpark away from the enemy. During the battle, all Decepticons are destroyed, except for Starscream, Barricade, and Scorponok, but the Autobots lost their one-member, Jazz.
She was the daughter of América Gutiérrez and Rafael José Díaz-Balart, a prominent Cuban politician and mayor of the town of Banes, Cuba. The charter institution was Oklahoma State University, renamed from Oklahoma A & M, after the organization decided it would be easier to start in Oklahoma rather than Texas. A major circumstance for creating a band service organization for women was simply due to the fact that more women were now involved with university bands in the United States. Wava Banes along with some other women classmates at Texas Tech University approached their director, D. O. Wiley about forming a "group of bandswomen" in 1937. The local organization was formalized as Tau Beta Sigma and structured after the Kappa Kappa Psi fraternity.
Susan Mortlake is the main antagonist of book three, Nightrise. She is a member of the Nightrise Corporation and manipulates Scott in order to make her plan work to successfully control an armed guard's mind and make him shoot Senator John Trelawney and make Senator Charles Baker become president of the United States, who supports the Old Ones' return. She takes Scott to a juvenile prison centre called Silent Creek. Mortlake is the woman who organized the attempt to kidnap Jamie and Scott, which half-failed, so she ordered one of their attackers, Colton Banes, to strangle his partner Kyle Hovey.
The village is the location of the Avon County Rowing Club, which is available to all local age groups and also used by Bristol University for training. The club has competed at local and national level, having success with its veteran 4 at racing events like the Henley Royal Regatta and other events like the British Rowing Championships. There is a sports and social club behind Saltford Hall that maintains a large area of open land leased from BANES and used mainly for football and cricket. The club is not for profit and has close links with Saltford Community Association.
On the outbreak of the First World War, Banes-Walker enlisted in the Gloucestershire Regiment as a private, but shortly after was gazetted into the 3rd Battalion, Devonshire Regiment as a second lieutenant (on probation) on 7 October 1914. He later completed a machine-gun course, and was attached to the 2nd Battalion, Devonshire Regiment as a machine-gun officer in March 1915. On 9 May 1915 the British launched the Battle of Aubers Ridge. The 2nd Devons were not involved in the assault, but seem to have been ordered into the front British trenches in support.
Bruce orders Terry to return to the Batcave to discard the suit, as it was a prototype that Bruce built with an artificial intelligence that blocks the wearer's pain. Bruce used it in his last mission to stop a group of criminals called the Banes, and the injuries sustained from his suit ended his career as Batman. Terry refuses to return and heads to Ghul's hideout in the Himalayas with Curare's flier as she is critically wounded by the Demon's right-hand man, Koru. Bruce follows Terry, worrying about Ghul's return and the suit's effect on Terry.
The argument ended with Bucky accidentally killing Asa when he hit his head on a rock. Bucky framed Jael for Asa's murder, unaware that the sadistic Crossroads Demon had witnessed the incident and was enraged that he himself could not kill Asa. In retaliation for Asa's murder at hands other than his own, Jael began targeting the hunters at Asa's wake, magically trapping them in Asa's home and possessing Alicia Banes to kill one. Though originally trapped outside, Dean Winchester got back in with the help of the Reaper Billie and eventually found Jael in the body of hunter Elvis Katz.
69) the CHRP talks of Giorgi as a synthesizer of the pia philosophia of Ficino, and the concordia of Giovanni Pico della Mirandola (along with Henricus Cornelius Agrippa and Paracelsus); on p. 312 he is classed with Ficino and Nicolas of Cusa as subscribing to a macrocosm and microcosm theory. He wrote also In Scripturam Sacram Problemata (1536). Giorgi is extensively discussed in Frances Yates, The Occult Philosophy in the Elizabethan Age She also discusses Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice in the light of the theory of Daniel Banes that Shakespeare was familiar with Giorgi's and related writings on the Cabala.
He then tells her of his previous foster parents, with the alcoholic father committing suicide after threatening to separate the twins, and the weird and inexplicable "accidents" associated with them. He tells her about a strange, tattoo-like mark he has on his arm and that he thinks he is an American Indian. After these incidents, he and Scott refused to read or control anyone's minds, except for each other's. They find a lead to one of the men that kidnapped Scott, Colton Banes, and Alicia persuades Jamie to read his mind to find out where Scott is.

It was also used by EC-121 Warning Star early warning aircraft of the 966th Airborne Early Warning and Control Squadron, a tenant unit at McCoy assigned to the Aerospace Defense Command. During the Cuban Missile Crisis in October 1962, McCoy AFB became a temporary forward operating base for more than 120 F-100 Super Sabre and F-105 Thunderchief fighter bombers and the primary base for U-2 reconnaissance aircraft flying over Cuba. One of these U-2s was shot down by Soviet-operated SA-2 Guideline surface-to-air missiles near Banes, Cuba. Its pilot, Major Rudolf Anderson, Jr., USAF, was the crisis' only combat death.
Its military activity took place in the areas of Cueto, Antilla, Banes and Mayarí where he demonstrated his skills as an organizer. For his work, he was appointed Chief of Action in those northern territories of the Oriente Province. He joined the organization M-26-7 in the north of Oriente, together with Rafael Orejón Forment, also a worker at the Nicaro plant who was later killed during the so- called Bloody Easter, for supporting the Landing of Granma. René was given the duty of carrying out military actions in Holguin territory, which he could not do because he did not receive the weapons.
Sally Banes,Terpsichore in Sneakers: Post-Modern Dance(Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1979),56. Upon entering a contact improv structure, two bodies must come together to create a point of contact (i.e., back to wrist, shoulder to thigh, head to foot, back to back, the options are endless), give weight equally to each other, and then create a movement dialog that can last for an undetermined amount of time, as long as both participants are fully engaged. Contact improvisation can be done by any person because the emergence of a movement vocabulary depends on a specific touch and the initiation of weight exchange with another person.
St. Mary's Academy of Carmen was founded in 1963 by Archbishop James T.G. Hayes, S.J., D.D. to answer the need for Catholic education intended for middle class and poor families in the Archdiocese. The first RVM community was affiliated to Lourdes College, with Mother Maria Virginia Banes, R.V.M. as the local superior. The school was named Cathedral High School, initially offering first year and second year with an enrollment of 498 students. Through the generosity of Atty. Rodolfo Pelaez, the owner of Liceo de Cagayan (now Liceo de Cagayan University), Cathedral High School was allowed to use its building from 7:30 in the morning to 3:30 in the afternoon.
Alexander's first resumes indicate that by the early seventies he had begun to think of himself as specializing in performance photography. His work had started to appear in various publications associated with the arts and he had collaborated with Sally Banes on the book: Terpsichore in Sneakers. His black and white photographs are given a special place in the book, accompanying individual chapters and also comprising a separate section at the end of the text. The spare, often stark simplicity of the photography suggests that Alexander had understood the tension between the singularity of the dancer's body and its sometimes violent, sometimes playful interaction with other bodies and objects.
Inspired by the encounter, Asa went on to become a hunter himself despite his mother's objections and became legendary in the hunting community. Asa wrote postcards throughout his life to Mary detailing his discoveries and hunts, but never sent them as he never learned her whereabouts. During his hunting trips, Asa had many trysts with local women, one of which, with witch Tasha Banes, resulted in two children, Max and Alicia. In 2016, Asa met Sheriff Jody Mills while on a ghoul hunt and, unaware that the sheriff was also a hunter, claimed that he was FBI agent Fox Mulder while investigating the case.
When the Winchesters call Mick to check in, Arthur answers and claims that Mick was recalled to London and "has a lot to answer for" after what happened with Dagon so they will now report to him. In "Twigs & Twine & Tasha Banes", Mary starts to get suspicious about Mick's disappearance as he hasn't responded to her phone calls or emails for weeks. Afterwards, Mary gets an email from "Mick" claiming that he is to remain in London for a few more weeks. Hearing Arthur talking about a package in the armory, Mary checks it out and discovers a box containing Mick's body, upsetting Mary.
The video ends with the initial black-and-white image repeated, but in retrograde, as Madonna puts back on the sunglasses. The taking down and putting up of those sunglasses provided a frame to contain the song, functioning like a curtain that marks the opening and closing of a stage performance. Dance historian Sally Banes, in her book Before, between, and beyond: three decades of dance writing, noted that the video portrayed Madonna as both the subject and the object of the song. She believed that in the video, Madonna taking off her sunglasses symbolized herself as a movie star, thus creating an ambiguous characterization of herself, and a narcissistic theme.

A replica of Jetfire, located in Hunan International Economics University. Jetfire is found by Sam Witwicky, Mikaela Banes and Seymour Simmons at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, an annex of the National Air and Space Museum, after Wheelie pinpoints the general location of the ancient Seeker. Sam reactivates him with an Allspark fragment, waking him up from stasis lock. After a misunderstanding when the humans saw his Decepticon insignia, Jetfire activates a Space Bridge to teleport Sam and his friends to Egypt, explaining to them the origin of the Primes (who he seems to have a certain type of respect for) and the Matrix of Leadership.
There are two versions, the Transformer version or the alternate version which consists only of the band playing. The music video features scenes taken from the movie, and a lot of special effects are also seen and the video was heavily edited in places making use of thermal cameras and using flying food parts as texture around a lot of the thermal imagery. Despite many rumors of the female in the video being Megan Fox and even vocalist Chester Bennington's wife Talinda, she is a different actress hired to portray Mikaela Banes. According to Talinda, she is only shown in the thermal lens to look more like Fox.
Victor Brown was born in Banes, Cuba, the son of Jamaican parents: John Brown, an engineer, and his wife Mirian, née Brown. He trained as an engine-room seaman and left Jamaica for Britain in 1939, before serving in World War II. He subsequently performed (eventually, with his brother Noel, as the Brown Brothers) for the Entertainments National Service Association and the League of Coloured Peoples, and then in nightclubs. He worked with Prince Zulamkah and then briefly joined forces with the pianist Winifred Atwell. In his time, he was considered the Laureate of Otago Province, of which he wrote, in Lowland Scots: :There's nae place like Otago yet, :There's nae wee beggar weans, :Or auld men shivering at our doors :To beg for scraps or banes By Feb 1862 John was in Dunedin when he printed a 'little volume' of poems, published in Edinburgh. The 'Otago Daily Times' wrote ... "quite irrespective of their local character, which endows them with a peculiar attraction, the Poems possess intrinsic merits in themselves which entitle them to rank high as literary productions" Allen Curnow described his writing as "this Scots-colonial parritch... watery gruel at the best." Barr died on 18 September 1889 at Dunedin.
The parish council has responsibility for local issues, including setting an annual precept (local rate) to cover the council's operating costs and producing annual accounts for public scrutiny. North Stoke is the only parish in BANES which doesn't charge a precept. The parish council evaluates local planning applications and works with the local police, district council officers, and neighbourhood watch groups on matters of crime, security, and traffic. The parish council's role also includes initiating projects for the maintenance and repair of parish facilities, such as the village hall or community centre, playing fields and playgrounds, as well as consulting with the district council on the maintenance, repair, and improvement of highways, drainage, footpaths, public transport, and street cleaning.
The village of Great Broughton and the hamlet of Little Broughton are listed (under their Latin names Magna Broctun and Parva Broctun) in the Domesday book of 1086."About the Parish - Great and Little Broughton", Great and Little Broughton Parish Council, Hambleton Council website The name "Broughton" is a common English placename, derived from Old English meaning "farmstead by a brook".Oxford Dictionary of British Placenames, ed. A.D.Mills, Oxford University Press, The village was formerly part of the Parish of Kirkby,"Broughton, (Great and Little)", entry in History, Directory, and Gazetteer of the County of York (vol 2), Edward Banes, Hurst and Robinson, 1823 and was a part of the wapentake and liberty of Langbaurgh.
In 1574 Woodroffe transferred to the aldermanry of the Dowgate ward, and in 1579–80 became Lord Mayor. The Sheriffs were customarily sworn at Michaelmas Eve (28 September), and the Mayor elected on St Edward's Day (13 October), though he did not assume office until November. Woodroffe's term began – or his predecessor's ended – with a cause celèbre, concerning a pamphlet by John Stubbs, The Discoverie of a Gaping Gulf,J. Stubbes, The discouerie of a gaping gulf whereinto England is like to be swallowed by another French mariage, if the Lord forbid not the banes, by letting her Maiestie see the sin and punishment thereof (Printed by H. Singleton for W. Page, London, Mense Augusti Anno 1579).
Sam, his girlfriend Mikaela Banes and his dorm mate Leo Spitz are abducted by Grindor into an abandoned factory where Megatron meets them. Pinning down Sam, threatening to torture him after acquiring what he needed, Megatron orders Scalpel to extract the Energon information from Sam's brain (ordering him to actually remove his brain), but they are quickly stopped by Optimus Prime. Megatron and Prime have a brief fight in the warehouse and then have a major battle in a forest, with Starscream and Grindor joining in. The fight ends with Megatron killing Prime by stabbing and shooting him with his fusion cannon, but then being forced to escape due to the intervention of Autobot reinforcements.
He finds that his brother is in solitary confinement there and that Alicia's son Daniel is there too, also in solitary confinement. One night, when he tries to use his power to demand that a power-hungry and abusive chief guard named Max Koring take him to his brother, he realises that his powers do not work in the prison, because of some magnetic field that neutralises special powers. Koring puts him in solitary confinement for his rudeness, and secretly calls Banes to tell him he has found a Gatekeeper. Jamie suffers a nightmarish vision during solitary confinement, triggered by the second gate opening, though he is unaware of what has happened.
Surviving drawings reveal that Picasso designed actual groupings for the dancers – the "living pictures" demanded by Beaumont.Sally Banes, "Writing Dancing in the Age of Postmodernism", Second Edition, Wesleyan University Press, 2011, Part II, Chapter 8. Regarding the choreography, Massine noted, "As Mercury I had a series of adventures – intervening in the affairs of Apollo, directing the signs of the Zodiac, arranging the rape of Proserpine – each of which had to be clearly differentiated in order to strengthen the comic and dramatic content of the ballet." A review of a later production suggests that among the dancers he alone kept in constant motion: "Through this series of plastic poses flew Mercury, a vivid figure in white tunic and scarlet coat, enthusiastically danced by Massine."H.
The literary trope of luxury imported into Roma along with the spoils of conquest and the goods (and banes) of the world is employed by Juvenal to explain the source of degradation: : Even so, do you ask from what spring these prodigies? : Humble fortune defended the chaste Latin women then, : nor did their labor, short slumbers, hard hands irritated : by Tuscan wool, Hannibal close to the city, : and husbands standing guard at the Colline tower : allow their little shelters to be stained with vices. : Now we suffer the evils of a long peace, luxury more savage than arms : presses its attack and takes vengeance for the conquered world. : No crime or act of lust is absent from where : Roman poverty has perished.
When a kelpie appeared in its equine persona without any tack, it could be captured using a halter stamped with the sign of a cross, and its strength could then be harnessed in tasks such as the transportation of heavy mill stones. One folk tale describes how the Laird of Morphie captured a kelpie and used it to carry stones to build his castle. Once the work was complete, the laird released the kelpie, which was evidently unhappy about its treatment. The curse it issued before leaving – "Sair back and sair banes/ Drivin' the Laird o' Morphies's stanes,/ The Laird o' Morphie'll never thrive/ As lang's the kelpy is alive" – was popularly believed to have resulted in the extinction of the laird's family.
Paulton is a large village and civil parish, with a population of 5,302, located to the north of the Mendip Hills, in the unitary authority of Bath and North East Somerset (BANES), England. Paulton is a former coal mining village and the terminus of the Somerset Coal Canal is at Paulton basin, just north of the village. Paulton was home to the now-closed Polestar Purnells printing factory and Ashman's boot factory, where 'Voidax' safety footwear was manufactured, and in particular Motorcycle speedway boots. The area has been designated as an 'area of special architectural or historic interest, the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance' under section 69 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
And alternative press critics like me certainly did not wield the make-or-break power of the mainstream press. In any case, most of the performances were one- night stands or short runs and had ended by the time my reviews were published. So I felt a certain freedom in knowing that my role as a critic was not that of a judge, arbiter of taste, or consumer guide. Rather, my role was to join a longer-term conversation about performance art in a public yet immediate way. – Sally Banes, Subversive Expectations: Performance Art and Paratheater in New York 1976–1985 ;Reinventing Dance in the 1960s: Everything was Possible (2003) This book is a collection of essays analyzing the revolutionary and experimental art world of the 1960s.
Arriving on Earth at the same time as Optimus Prime, Ironhide, and Ratchet, Jazz's protoform lands in Dodger Stadium then re-appears near the Casa de cadillac car dealership (Sherman Oaks, California). Jazz jumps off the roof of the car shop and quickly scans a modified Pontiac Solstice before meeting up with the other Autobots at Bumblebee's location. The Autobots then return to Sam's house and retrieve the glasses whilst attempting to hide from Sam's parents, which results in their garden being destroyed by Prime's feet and Ratchet (Jazz in the comic adaptation) cutting off the neighborhood's power after accidentally running into an electric transformer (which they blame on an earthquake). That same evening, a secret government organization called Sector 7 arrests Sam and Mikaela Banes, and captures Bumblebee.
The two of them edge into a prickly romantic relationship, and during a visit to Marisa's house, David bonds with her motor-mouthed mother. David's reputation as a partner-killer is confirmed when the alligator snags a young cop, Kelly (Perry Lang), who accompanies David into the sewer searching for clues. No one believes David's story, due to a lack of a body, and partly because of Slade (Dean Jagger), the influential local tycoon who sponsored the illegal growth experiments and therefore does not want the truth to come out. This changes when obnoxious tabloid reporter Thomas Kemp (Bart Braverman), one of the banes of David's existence, goes snooping in the sewers and supplies graphic and indisputable photographic evidence of the beast at the cost of his own life.
In the Middle East, 350 men of a battalion stationed in Cyprus, led by Captain Jean Lorotte de Banes passed to British Egypt. With 120 men of Captain Raphaël Folliot, who left French Lebanon on 27 June, they formed the 1st Marine Infantry Battalion, 1er BIM. They were joined by legionnaires of the 6th Foreign Infantry Regiment (6e REI), sailors of the French Naval Squadron Force X, and a squadron of Moroccan Spahis of the 1st Spahi Regiment, commanded by Captain Paul Jourdier. In Africa, part of the 31st battery of the 6th Marine Artillery Regiment (), stationed at Bobo- Dioulasso, commanded by Captain Jean-Claude Laurent-Champrosay, passed from the French Upper Volta to the British Cameroons, forming the 1st Colonial Artillery Regiment (1er Régiment d'artillerie coloniale, 1er RAC).
The first practical idea for establishing a “band sorority” for college and university bandswomen came about during the spring semester of 1939. Wava Banes, along with two of her classmates (Emily SoRelle and Ruth La Nell Williams), took the idea to director D.O. Wiley of the Texas Technological College Band. The idea, patterned after Kappa Kappa Psi, began to come together the following semester and resulted in the campus organization Tau Beta Sigma. Much like the Fraternity, Tau Beta Sigma's purpose at Tech was to serve as an honorary service and leadership recognition society, but was designed especially to provide the important additional social, educational, and other positive experiences needed by women in the band. The fledgling organization petitioned for recognition as an official campus organization from Dean of Women Mary Doak in spring 1940.
John T. “Jack” Skelly (June 1, 1927 – November 8, 2016) was a journalist who wrote for a number of news organizations focusing primarily on Latin America and served for a brief period in 1959 as Fidel Castro’s international press coordinator. Jack Skelly was born to American parents of Irish descent in the Dominican Republic. The family moved to Cuba a year later where his father, George Martin Skelly, was head of the railroad department for the United Fruit Sugar Co. He spent his formative years in the town of Banes where Castro’s first wife, Mirta Diaz-Balart, was a neighbor, close childhood friend, and later a mutual teenage crush. Skelly was in Cuba on assignment for United Press when the Batista regime collapsed and Fidel Castro came to power in January, 1959.

Starting in the United Kingdom, Isabelle "Izzy" (Rebecca Rosso) and Annabelle "Annie" Woods (Camilla Rosso) are introduced as clever twin girls with a love for pink like their cousin, Elle Woods. They and their widowed father move to Southern California to stay in Elle's home; Elle is now a successful lobbyist in Washington, D.C. Awaiting the girls are a pair of chihuahua dogs, who are the nephews of Elle's chihuahua Bruiser. Their giddiness is cut short, when they find out they are going to attend Pacific Preparatory, Elle's alma mater, a private school requiring uniforms. Upon their first day, after meeting the strict Headmistress Elsa Higgins (Lisa Banes), who introduces them to Pac Prep's many rules and extensively detailed honor code, Izzy and Annie register themselves and sign for their ID cards, and meet Chris (Bobby Campo), a scholarship student who is almost immediately smitten with Annie.
The best drama shows the good and the bad, actions and feelings, of each character, whether god or man. According to Natyashastra, state Sally Banes and Andre Lepeck, drama is that art which accepts human beings are in different inner states when they arrive as audience, then through the art performed, it provides enjoyment to those wanting pleasure, solace to those in grief, calmness to those who are worried, energy to those who are brave, courage to those who are cowards, eroticism to those who want company, enjoyment to those who are rich, knowledge to those who are uneducated, wisdom to those who are educated. Drama represents the truths about life and worlds, through emotions and circumstances, to deliver entertainment, but more importantly ethos, questions, peace and happiness. The function of drama and the art of theatre, as envisioned in Natyashastra states Daniel Meyer- Dinkgräfe, is to restore the human potential, man's journey of "delight at a higher level of consciousness", and a life that is enlightened.
